Excellent service, food and cocktails! Parking is adequate but not ample. (Don't try to park your Super C in the lot :) The bar and dining area are in a sort of ramada with curtains. If you're there in cold weather, position yourself in front of one of the blasting electric space heaters. I was there in January and didn't pay much attention to the outdoor seating, but did notice some fun-looking transparent geodesic dome tent-like thingies you can sit in. I had raw local oysters, falafel bites, and nachos. The oysters were fresh, chilled and served with interesting condiments. The falafel was sizzling hot and served with delicious tzatziki. I opted for South African sausage on the nachos and they were an interesting dining experience: made with sturdy potato chips instead of tortilla chips. The best part? The margaritas! I know this place has a very high rating but I'm sorry we didn't get that during our latest visit on 5-8-26. Yes, latest visit since we also visited June 2025, and gave that visit a 4 star. Let me say there were several issues during this visit. First, they didn't have a common beer available, claiming they ran out of Corona. Now it is a Friday night and you're going into the weekend without one of the most popular beers - just crazy. Next I ordered the Low Country Boil, well after a few minutes another person comes to me as says they have no potatoes for the meal and offered extra sausage to make up the meal. I accepted that. When my meal came out, the server now tells me they owe me 2 more pieces of corn and they would quickly bring that to me. Guess what - never got them. The two pieces I did get were cold - I mean not fully boiled/cooked. Icy cold inside. Now we were with several other couples and one couple had to ask for their drinks a second time. Fact is their meal came out before their first drinks. I have to also mention the men's rooms. I was clearly hadn't been checked or cleaned in a while. Now let's face it, it got screwed up due to nasty guests, but staff really need to check it every so often. Folks I visit Tybee twice a year and there are plenty of options on the island. I think the Zunibar has lost my future business, as well as the 3 other couples we were with. If you choose here you have been warned. I hope you have a better visit. read more

Truly wonderful restaurant on Tybee! We loved the outdoor seating with our kids, and the food was really tasty. Our favorites were the chips & smashed avo (don't skip out on it, it's AMAZING!!), the wings, & the banana hammock drink. Probably the best blended drink I've ever had! So tropical and refreshing. Servers were very kind and hospitable, just docking one star for servers knowledge. She didn't seem very confident in the menu, and when we would ask questions such as "is it grilled chicken or fried in the kids taco" she would say "I believe it's grilled." Or it was noon and we wanted to order the shrimp, and she said "I believe it's not available until later". She didn't seem so sure and didn't really make an effort to find out to be sure. Asked my boyfriend how his sandwich was and he just gave a shrug which describes our whole experience basically. Convenient location with lots of shaded outdoor seating and "indoor" seating with tvs and fans going. They were out of a lot of stuff by 4:30. I asked for strawberry lemonade and was told they didn't have it, asked for NA beer and they were out, I settled on a sprite instead. Two sprites, a low country boil Nickys Way, Fishermans Deck and 20% tip brought our total to $50+. Ok service, ok food! I am really surprized by the high ratings. We saw falafel on the online menu but in reality, they did no have it. I ordered the King Tide cocktail and it was pretty good. Our server told us about their happy hour specials (if we signed up for their email/text list) so we took advantage and got some money off of our drinks and took home souvenir cups. The food was tasty. I enjoyed the falafel sandwich and my wife had a fish sandwich. The chips and dip were good that came with them. I was full when I was done. We stayed a couple of hours to have a coupe of drinks each, eat our meal, and enjoy the live music. I can't rave about this place enough. I was at Tybee last weekend and after rain ruining my entire trip in Savannah, we went to Tybee for tropical vibes and stopped by Zunzibar. We were super happy with the vibe, their drinks and food. Definitely a tropical vibe place with great patio vibe and sipping on cocktails was a great idea. Our server was well informed and recommended us dishes. Thank you Sabina for that. The manager took good care of us and the staff was warm and helpful. For food we loved the bird island sandwich, so flavorful and healthy served with a side of Zunzi's chips & dips that are so good. Can't miss out on this. Wings in Dank sauce were juicy and delicious. Tossed in the sauce well, flavorful refreshing taste. In drinks, we ordered Coco-MO and Banana Hammock and each of them was exceptionally good. So tropical and much needed to beat the heat. Went here for lunch - gonna be honest coming from Atlanta I did not much from the wings here, but boy was I mistaken! We had multiple orders of the buffalo, curry, and chutney wings and some of the kettle cooked potato chips with their dank sauce. Our server was fantastic and stopped by the table no less than 4 times and when we first approached the restaurant looking lost he immediately took notice and told us to sit anywhere and he'd take care of us - definitely felt welcome. The sitting area was clean and everyone was really friendly. My wife and mother-in-law did not love the dank sauce, but I was pretty impressed by it. I ordered the smokehouse margarita and it had a little bit more tequila and less flavor than I was expecting. It waaaas strong! When my boyfriend and I pulled up there was a woman playing rhythm guitar & singing. It's an open air bar with a roof. There's outside tables, tables under an overhead roof and the bar. They are contactless payments only - except for tips. My boyfriend got a tall miller light on tap and I got a small Don Julio margarita... I should have gotten a lg. The margarita was good, but the cup was FILLED to the top with ice I got a refill and the same thing. No one wants a cocktail full of ice. The shrimp was large and very tasty. It came with house made potato chips and a dipping sauce which was surprisingly good! I used it on the shrimp too. This place is an absolute vibe. It is as lively as all the colors on and in the building. We went on a rainy day so it wasn't as crowded as it has been later in the spring/summer. We have been eating at Zunzibar since they opened. The sandwiches are delicious and a generous size. The potato chips are made at one of their facilities and are quite yummy. Each meal usually comes with a couple of sauces. Unfortunately, ownership has changed hands. Now, the sandwiches are about 1/2 the size of what they were before. The potato chips are Zapps in a bag and quantity is less than 1/2 of what used to be served. Finally, there is no extra sauce included. Yet, the price is still the same as before. This was a letdown for me and I will not be back to that particular restaurant - Tybee Island facility. read more

Zunzi was really off the mark today. We ordered two "cold weather" drinks, only to be told they did not have the proper mixers to make either of the two drinks. Suggestion: If you do not have the proper inventory, do not offer the drinks to sell. Our appetizer of Oysters Rockefeller (which is very good) took 40 minutes to be served. Our wings took over an hour! We had to ask our server for silverware, and then napkins, and then extra napkins. We were served ranch dressing, when we ordered blue cheese. It took ten minutes to get the blue cheese (as our wings were now getting cold). Because of the consistent tardiness, our server tried to appease us with some chips... and then, after. the meal, had the audacity to charge us for the chips! We flatly refused to pay for the chips. And then, the suggested gratuity on the bill was 26% !!!! I over-rode the auto tip and adjusted to 12%. Lousy service = small tip. This makes two lunches in two weeks with such poor service, both from the kitchen staff, servers and inventory. Zunzi, you have one more visit to get your act together. read more

Finally, a restaurant on Tybee that services more than fried shrimp baskets. I am already a fan of the downtown location, so I was ecstatic they expended to tybee island! I came a few times during the summer for drinks, but most recently for the winter igloo. My friend booked a reservation online for an igloo downtown. Unfortunately, they double booked and had to move our reservation. We were so glad we could come out to Tybee for this experience. Jess was our waitress and she was a doll. Professional, efficient, and wonderful to dine with. She even took photos for us after dinner. Brad popped in to introduce himself and let us know he was in the kitchen that night. Since our reservation was moved, we were definitely taken care of well. We had a group of 7. We started with a round of spiked hot drinks, and the Lekker Spread (4 dips sampler). We had the hummus, Taziki, peri-peri cheese and dank sauce served with chips, pitas and veggies. We loved all 4. I ordered the falafel roll on French bread for dinner, also served with chips. Everything tasted great and fresh. The igloo was warm, but they can unzip windows if it gets too warm inside. They are quiet and private and feature the full menu with drink specials. With games and blankets provided, we didn't want to leave. We had so much fun and I can't wait to come back! read more

We've enjoyed the one downtown Savannah so we thought we'd try the one on Tybee. Not disappointed. Excellent service, very sweet girl was attentive to us the whole time. Wife's chicken topped salad was great. Very tasty chicken. My Johnny Chow sandwich was flavorful, but warning.........it's HOT (spicy). Too hot for me actually. Wish I'd known that.
