I thought I wrote a review of this place already but I guess not. This is probably some of the best food I've had in the entire trip. This is a tiny brewery tucked away in some random corner on Tybee Island and it's so easy to just pass it right by. But what a gem. I can't remember what everyone else got but I got something along the lines of Thai chicken with naan (maybe) but dang it was really delicious. You would think that a small brewery like this would have just your generic bar food - burgers, pizza, chicken wings, but it has more than that and it's elevated. It was just delicious. The service was good, quick and friendly, and it wasn't too loud or busy when we went. So if you're passing through Tybee Island, take the time to check this place out. It is worth it. read more

We stopped by after going to the beach. There's a small parking lot, and we were able to snag a spot. There's brewery itself is on the top level, and I didn't see mobility accessible pathways so be mindful if you're visiting with someone who is mobility impaired. The inside is small, about 4 different types is high tops to accommodate different size groups, a bar with about 10 seats, and some bar stools on the balcony. When we arrived, there was one person behind the bar and kitchen staff. I think there was someone else working? (They were cleaning tables, but also drinking a beer. So I'm unsure) Since it was a light crew, things moved a little slow, which wasn't a bad thing because it gave us time to take a beat. It did, however, impact beer selection. My first choice was out, but there wasn't enough staff to switch out the keg. I got another beer, so no problem there, but noticed others waiting a longer time. There's a good bit of options to choose from, which was cool. And they have cocktails and a menu as well. This isn't my favorite brewery that I've been to, but it's a cool place to stop by when on the island. read more

Let's just start out to say that the watermelon salad was amazing and loved by all. We also had the Thai chicken naan. It was good but a bit small for more than one person as I thought it was more of a naan and not just a pita. I had the golden hour. Being a brewer myself I found it a bit thin and lacking in body. Not sure about the other beers as that is all I had but it's a quiet little place with kegs and open windows to the brew area if that's what you are looking for. Had heard great things so decided to give it a try. The beers were adequate but nothing show stopping. We had the Bongwater IPA and the Hopping Fruits sour. You could tell what each was supposed to be but it was very much an IPA flavored IPA and a sour flavored sour even though it advertised more flavor. We ordered the sliders and chicken wrap and the food was good but felt it was a little expensive on the food side for what you get. It cost us $70 for two beers and two sandwiches so it was not what we expected to spend at that kind of venue. read more

We're not huge beer drinkers but wanted to give this place a try and we're so glad we did!! It's a small place and was busy but we were able to find a couple of seats at the bar. The bartender, didn't get his name, but the only one working Valentine's Day around 6ish, did an outstanding job. I'm pretty sure he waited on the whole place and service was still excellent!! We did order the About Lager Time and it was good. The food was excellent!! We had the Southwestern Brisket Quesadilla and the Smoked Prime Rib Melt. They both had SO much flavor!!! Hidden gem on the main beach drag! The food was great, the beers incredible and the service was amazing. It's a cozy and intimate atmosphere with a handful of tables around the bar the frames the window looking out towards the Atlantic. It has great beer. Seriously, they've surpassed most all of the other Savannah breweries in my opinion and I go there usually twice a year to visit family. Highly recommend this place, you will enjoy it! read more

I went here with my brother for a late lunch. It was a little confusing getting to the brewery being that when you enter the building, there's another restaurant on the first floor and to get to the brewery you have to go up the stairs. When entering the brewery, you could definitely tell that it's a dive bar, which is neither here nor there. We were greeted promptly and the bartender/waitress was very attentive and checked on us quite a bit. My brother got beer and I got the rum punch to drink and we split an order of the brisket quesadillas. My drink was pretty strong and good. I don't know if I exactly like the Boba tea bubbles on my drink, but it definitely made for an interesting presentation. The brisket quesadillas were really good they were flavorful and a little spicy which I enjoyed. Overall, I liked the food and my drink, and the service was good. read more

1) I hate stairs, but I use a cane, still manageable, not preferred. 2) NO THC drinks available, but there is low or no alcohol beer available. 3) We didn't get a chance to sample the food, because the kitchen was closed until 3pm. We stopped in here for some food and so I could try the beer. They did have lemonade for the kids, and not surprisingly for the area, there were several families there on the Wednesday night we ate there. My kids are pretzel bites, which they were happy with. My wife had the veggie quesadilla and I had the grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup. I was impressed with the quality of the food here. It seemed like a very small business (one guy serving beer and one guy making all of the food) and it's location was deceiving in terms of the food quality one might expect. They are very lucky to have this chef. I did try two of the beers and both were pretty good. I would say if you want to try some craft beer on Tybee Island, this is your place. Literally, the only brewery there, which is surprising. But it's a good option. Regarding the food, I wouldn't go there if I was looking for a nice sit down restaurant to eat. Best view at the entrance to Tybee! Good tunes and good beer. Go up the stairs and order the beer cheese pretzel first. You NEED to try the Coconut Cannonball, it's like dessert in a beer tap. I could smell the smoker cooking food on the menu so we came back the next day when we were hungry. You will not regret it. The beer was okay and our turkey BLT sandwich was good, but nothing special. Everything in the bar just seemed kind of gross. The chairs at the tables look very uncomfortable, so we opted to sit at the bar which had better chairs. The bartender/server was bad, kept talking about how she wished she could just retire and didn't want to be there, complaining to other guests about she's the only one that does anything there, yelling at tables from behind the bar asking if their food is ok and if they need anything rather than going out to them. Instead of taking our order initially she was busy messing with the TV remote controls, then she asked us to order beers by number instead of by name because that's easier for her. After we had our food she never came back to see if we needed more drinks. Poor, uninterested service. Would likely not recommend based on our experience, maybe it's better with a different server. read more

Been a minute since coming to Tybee and discovered this spot just before you hit the curve on US 80 as you're in the final straight toward the beach area of Tybee. The brewery is located on the 2nd floor with a great selection of different style beers brewed at Black River (Lager, Sessions, IPA, Pilsner etc....) This trip we only had beers and Rachel guided us through the beverage opportunities. Thank you, Rachel!! We'll definitely be back to have some more beers as well as food! My wife and I were in Savannah for a long weekend vacation and took a shuttle out to the beach town of Tybee Island. We found that there was one brewery on the island, so I had to try it. It is upstairs over a Mexican restaurant and some locals were smoking on the outside railing. We entered and there are about 8 beers on tap. I ordered a fruity wheat to start, that was really good and an IPA after that. The lady manning the bar was super nice and I bought a couple of stickers to add to my collection. We hung around for about 20 minutes and enjoyed my beer. Cool little place to have a couple of beers on a warm day. They have food as well, but we did not order any. Tybee is a fun little beach town that remined me a little bit of Key West. read more

We were looking for a craft brewery and found the only one on Tybee above a Mexican restaurant. Almost missed it, but glad we didn't! Bartender was great and working his tail off, along with the cook. I was the DD and let the hubby do the drinking for the two of us. He had two flights that contained all eight beers on tap and really enjoyed them all. We shared the prime rib sandwich and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good, flavorful sandwich. For dessert, we shared the caramel cinnamon roll. Jaws dropped open as it was brought our way. AMAZING! If you're looking for high-end food with top notch ingredients in a super casual setting, you have to stop here. You won't be disappointed! read more

Stopped in while staying in Tybee for a quick day drinking session. The place is super laid back, music was jazzy while we were there and it just had an overall chill vibe. The decor is a craft brewery, so mostly a bar top with a couple barrel table tops. We didn't have any but the food looked and smelled amazing. The bartender was super attentive and we never wanted for a drink, he was all over it. The beers. Something Different, a Pilsner, a little more hoppy than a standard pils but honestly a good beer. If you aren't big on craft beers, this is your beer. Move Beach, Get Out the Whale (lot of name for a small beer). It's an 8.2% so you get a tiny glass but it packs a punch with flavor. If you like juicy IPAs you'll like it. Marsh Puppy Tropical Mango was good, not hoppy. It tasted similar to a Blue Moon, but individual in its own right. Stay Put Puft Stout which I kept thinking was Stay Puft Put Stout because my brain couldn't keep the P words straight. This one was good, but one was enough for me. It had a strong marshmallow smell and that was the first flavor I got. After a few sips though it was a little more like a butter pecan flavor. Overall, a great stop and worth it for a few beers. The food looks terrific but I won't be able to convince you as I didn't try any. The prices aren't all tourist gougey so that was a great change from some of the places we visited here. Pop upstairs and try it out if you're nearby, you won't regret it. read more

We would have walked right past this place if it weren't recommended to us by a local as we were having lunch. Located on the 2nd floor of a restaurant, it's not the most obvious location but is a not-to-miss spot the next time you visit Tybee Island. The beers are seasonal and rotating, but on this particular visit I enjoyed the lager, which was perfectly light and refreshing on a warm fall day. My friends enjoyed the stout and gose. We also purchased some fun merchandise stickers to take home. We didn't enjoy any food as we'd just had lunch, but they had a full menu that looked appetizing. They have a Touchtunes jukebox system if you want to play your favorite song, and feature food and event specials (like trivia) throughout the week to keep you entertained. Very crowded on Sunday. Had to wait a bit for our meal, but was well worth the wait. The craft brews were wonderful. The food could not have been better. The meal was created with care and skill. The food was beautifully plated. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were artfully combined. Our table had the BBQ sliders, the smoked beet salad with a side of smoked turkey and the smoked turkey BLT. Every bite was a delight. The staff could not have been nicer. Upon entering, we weren't sure if we were in the right place; it felt a little unkempt. It offered high top seating only. LAWDY!! This is a hidden gem on TYBEE!! Its sits above a Mexican restaurant's on the islands northern end. Not a big place so get there early for dinner! First the beers are spot on! Had both the Oyster Stout and the lager...excellent!!! I had the brisket quesadilla OMG.....perfect flavor profile. Definitely big enough for 2 for Lunch ...I ate half for dinner myself and my hubby finished it AFTER his to die for smoked prime rib Sammy! All I can say is go get ya some!!! read more

You can see the brewing area and food prep area. Having brewers among us, lots of questions were asked about their process, but the owner isn't the brewer. read more
