    Beer

Had heard great things so decided to give it a try. The beers were adequate but nothing show stopping. We had the Bongwater IPA and the Hopping Fruits sour. You could tell what each was supposed to be but it was very much an IPA flavored IPA and a sour flavored sour even though it advertised more flavor. We ordered the sliders and chicken wrap and the food was good but felt it was a little expensive on the food side for what you get. It cost us $70 for two beers and two sandwiches so it was not what we expected to spend at that kind of venue.

I went here with my brother for a late lunch. It was a little confusing getting to the brewery being that when you enter the building, there's another restaurant on the first floor and to get to the brewery you have to go up the stairs. When entering the brewery, you could definitely tell that it's a dive bar, which is neither here nor there. We were greeted promptly and the bartender/waitress was very attentive and checked on us quite a bit. My brother got beer and I got the rum punch to drink and we split an order of the brisket quesadillas. My drink was pretty strong and good. I don't know if I exactly like the Boba tea bubbles on my drink, but it definitely made for an interesting presentation. The brisket quesadillas were really good they were flavorful and a little spicy which I enjoyed. Overall, I liked the food and my drink, and the service was good.

We stopped in here for some food and so I could try the beer. They did have lemonade for the kids, and not surprisingly for the area, there were several families there on the Wednesday night we ate there. My kids are pretzel bites, which they were happy with. My wife had the veggie quesadilla and I had the grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup. I was impressed with the quality of the food here. It seemed like a very small business (one guy serving beer and one guy making all of the food) and it's location was deceiving in terms of the food quality one might expect. They are very lucky to have this chef. I did try two of the beers and both were pretty good. I would say if you want to try some craft beer on Tybee Island, this is your place. Literally, the only brewery there, which is surprising. But it's a good option. Regarding the food, I wouldn't go there if I was looking for a nice sit down restaurant to eat. But if you happen to be looking for craft beer they also have good food!

Best view at the entrance to Tybee! Good tunes and good beer. Go up the stairs and order the beer cheese pretzel first. You NEED to try the Coconut Cannonball, it's like dessert in a beer tap. I could smell the smoker cooking food on the menu so we came back the next day when we were hungry. You will not regret it. They even have USB charger at the bar tables and an outdoor area.

Great food and beer. Friendly service...good atmosphere....my only complaint is it was difficult to eat my meal with plastic knife and fork...

My wife and I were in Savannah for a long weekend vacation and took a shuttle out to the beach town of Tybee Island. We found that there was one brewery on the island, so I had to try it. It is upstairs over a Mexican restaurant and some locals were smoking on the outside railing. We entered and there are about 8 beers on tap. I ordered a fruity wheat to start, that was really good and an IPA after that. The lady manning the bar was super nice and I bought a couple of stickers to add to my collection. We hung around for about 20 minutes and enjoyed my beer. Cool little place to have a couple of beers on a warm day. They have food as well, but we did not order any. Tybee is a fun little beach town that remined me a little bit of Key West.

Stopped in on the way to the tree lighting & we're so glad we did! Server was awesome to talk to. Food was amazing & beer was great! Small brewery with live music on Fridays & Saturdays & trivia on Tuesdays. Will absolutely be back.

Stopped in while staying in Tybee for a quick day drinking session. The place is super laid back, music was jazzy while we were there and it just had an overall chill vibe. The decor is a craft brewery, so mostly a bar top with a couple barrel table tops. We didn't have any but the food looked and smelled amazing. The bartender was super attentive and we never wanted for a drink, he was all over it. The beers. Something Different, a Pilsner, a little more hoppy than a standard pils but honestly a good beer. If you aren't big on craft beers, this is your beer. Move Beach, Get Out the Whale (lot of name for a small beer). It's an 8.2% so you get a tiny glass but it packs a punch with flavor. If you like juicy IPAs you'll like it. Marsh Puppy Tropical Mango was good, not hoppy. It tasted similar to a Blue Moon, but individual in its own right. Stay Put Puft Stout which I kept thinking was Stay Puft Put Stout because my brain couldn't keep the P words straight. This one was good, but one was enough for me. It had a strong marshmallow smell and that was the first flavor I got. After a few sips though it was a little more like a butter pecan flavor. Overall, a great stop and worth it for a few beers. The food looks terrific but I won't be able to convince you as I didn't try any. The prices aren't all tourist gougey so that was a great change from some of the places we visited here. Pop upstairs and try it out if you're nearby, you won't regret it.

Wow! What a great Yelp find on Tybee. We came for the day and wanted to grab some lunch. Yelp to the rescue! I came upon this small brewery that serves really good food! The beer was very good. But the food was amazing! The Thai flatbread was so good we had to try to recreate it at home. Everything was really good. Great service, great beer and good food. What else do you need? Live music? Oh, they had that too when we were there!

Great little spot. Excellent beer. Good food. The bartender was awesome. Hope to visit again soon.

Because this was their first time in Savannah, we couldn't let them leave without a visit to the beach. Although the day was a bit overcast and windy, it was still a nice afternoon and we decided to grab some local fare before heading back to Pooler. Salt Island is a small restaurant located right on the main strip as you turn into the seafront area. There is limited parking in and around the restaurant, but we were lucky because Sunday afternoon was fairly deserted. However, I would imagine that on a busy weekend you would likely need to find creative parking because a lot of the nearby parking seemed to be reserved for home and condominium owners. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with a sizable bar and plenty of room to entertain larger groups. The menu is fairly simple but packed with a couple of really interesting items that you wouldn't technically expect to find in a beachfront fish house. And while we didn't order any of the more offbeat items, I have to say, seeing Chicken Tinga on the menu was a pleasant surprise. Especially since my in-laws are Mexican. Lol, I actually ordered the whole fried snapper tacos, which was essentially a whole fish fried to perfection but then accompanied with a bounty of authentic Mexican taco fixings including fresh tortillas, Cajita cheese, and fresh salsa and guacamole. The waiter promised I would be the envy of the table, and I was! This thing was so big. I ended up taking some of it home and eating it as a late night fish taco snack. The rest of the table ordered a combination of the fresh fish served any way you like it and the shell on shrimp boil. Both options were also fantastic. They also offer a variety of beers and have a fairly full bar so there's fun to be had here for everyone. Service was also really tight with our waiter making multiple trips to the table to make sure everybody was good. This is definitely a spot I would recommend if you are hanging out at the beach.

If you're there in cold weather, position yourself in front of one of the blasting electric space heaters. I was there in January and didn't pay much attention to the outdoor seating, but did notice some fun-looking transparent geodesic dome tent-like thingies you can sit in. I had raw local oysters, falafel bites, and nachos. The oysters were fresh, chilled and served with interesting condiments. The falafel was sizzling hot and served with delicious tzatziki. I opted for South African sausage on the nachos and they were an interesting dining experience: made with sturdy potato chips instead of tortilla chips. The best part? The margaritas! Yes, latest visit since we also visited June 2025, and gave that visit a 4 star. Let me say there were several issues during this visit. First, they didn't have a common beer available, claiming they ran out of Corona. Now it is a Friday night and you're going into the weekend without one of the most popular beers - just crazy. Next I ordered the Low Country Boil, well after a few minutes another person comes to me as says they have no potatoes for the meal and offered extra sausage to make up the meal. I accepted that. When my meal came out, the server now tells me they owe me 2 more pieces of corn and they would quickly bring that to me. Guess what - never got them. The two pieces I did get were cold - I mean not fully boiled/cooked. Icy cold inside. Now we were with several other couples and one couple had to ask for their drinks a second time. Fact is their meal came out before their first drinks. I have to also mention the men's rooms. I was clearly hadn't been checked or cleaned in a while. Now let's face it, it got screwed up due to nasty guests, but staff really need to check it every so often. Folks I visit Tybee twice a year and there are plenty of options on the island. I think the Zunibar has lost my future business, as well as the 3 other couples we were with. If you choose here you have been warned. I hope you have a better visit.

Do not get the coffee at Sea Wolf Tybee…read more In Sea Wolf's defense, our server told me as such. I ordered coffee, and he practically begged me not to. "Imagine Folgers... but worse," he said. I grew up on Eight O'Clock coffee--the only brand worse than Folgers-- so opted to brave the drip from Sea Wolf Tybee. How bad could it really be? Really bad. The Sea Wolf Tybee coffee was really, really, bad. The owners have made a deal with the barrier island devil where their successful establishment came at the expense of serving the worst coffee on earth. The coffee wasn't just bland, it was reeking with flavor, as if a tybee island horseshoe crab has been decaying in the coffee pot since the eatery was established in 2020. The server tried his hardest to prevent this 4-star review by warning me about the coffee, and in his defense the taste is not why I deducted Sea Wolf Tybee one star. I deducted one star because the vile 12oz cup of black drip coffee was $5 dollars. Like any diner at a lunch spot, I did not check the coffee's price before ordering it, assuming it'd be the standard $2-3 dollars. Even specialty coffee shops max their drip coffee prices at $4.50. Instead, Sea Wolf Tybee has opted to charge $5, rake-in a 95% profit margin, and exploit the trust of patrons who assume a cup of joe won't cost as much as Georgia's hourly minimum wage. I'm a former barista and coffee-lover, and $5 is the most expensive drip coffee I have ever encountered. Sea Wolf Tybee had outdone itself--the bill was more nauseating than the coffee.
