This place is fabulous! Staff is very friendly, fun and welcoming! They don't rush you, and instead encourage you to enjoy your time there. Location is fantastic, you are right next to the beach and there's a constant breeze coming from the ocean (always bring something to wear on top). The ambience is overall very cute, simple and romantic at the same time. Also nice to enjoy with family (grown up family - I feel like kids wouldn't have a lot of space to run around ). We had chips and dips, two cocktails (key lime martini and pink flamingo) and a white wine (brut). My favorite was definitely the key lime martini, but that's of course a matter of taste. If I were in tybee island for more days, I would most likely be at this place every evening! (They also have food, but we got here for an after dinner) read more

If you're lucky enough to actually make it to The Deck, it's a great little spot to hang out on Tybee. Good luck figuring out how to park. It's technically beachfront, but don't go expecting sweeping ocean views. I think you have to sit at the bar to see them - we couldn't from our table. Still, definitely sit outside if you can. Wouldn't serve me, a 43 year old a beer because I forgot my ID. Claimed it was because of undercover cops. Guess what, while it is illegal to serve someone under age, it's not illegal to serve a 43 year old without an ID. I had several pictures of my ID on my phone. The miserable woman at the bar didn't care. Would not come back. I was okay sitting one out and having a meal without a drink but she went above and beyond to make it very uncomfortable. I came here for a bachelorette party, and we all had a great experience eating dinner at The Deck! Before sitting down, we were all able to get a seat at the bar and enjoy a drink. They have a variety of fun drinks, but the favorites were the banana daiquiri, which was unique but delicious, and both their Aperol and Hugo spritz! They have reasonable prices and more casual food, but a few of us ordered the steak quesadilla and loved it. Our service was great, the food came quickly, and the drinks were delicious. There is direct beach access as well, so it's a perfect spot for lunch if you are already on the beach, or to catch the sunset after dinner. Awesome beachfront dining with one point of warning. Outside on the porch is a lovely spot for a meal, beverage or both. Just be aware that the local birds have an issue with outsiders sharing their space. Good Luck or not - no one likes being pooped on! We ordered strawberry daiquiris and a Tybee Salad and a chicken sandwich. Both items were tasty and filled the space available in our tummies. We did get a squirt gun dropped at our table to balance the scales of defense. We used it a few times. Needless to say no more surprises occurred. Friendly staff and great location. read more

Nice spot for lunch and a bonus that it is beachside...really gives you that island ambiance. The service was great - friendly and very quick staff all around. I just got a BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado) which was good but the fries were a nice surprise - they had a little spice on them that I really enjoyed - very subtle but a little different from your run of the mill shoestring fries. read more

This place is in the midst of a hotel. We were a little unsure where exactly it was located but they do have enough signs to get you to the restaurant. We were greeted and seated right seat. Service was overall excellent. The food presentation was great, but man does it lack flavor. We started with the chorizo roasted corn dip. It had very little flavor and the chips were kind of stale. My husband had the deck burger, it was watery and no flavor. How do you mess up a burger so bad? I had the chicken and waffle sandwich. First, there's no way to eat this as a sandwich, but that's ok. The waffle part was one of the best waffles I've ever had. The jalapeño syrup and chipotle mayo were great but man that chicken was the biggest disappointment. It looked amazing. The restaurant is in a decent location. Not right on the water but close enough you can see it. However the service was terrible. I ordered a fish basket that came with slaw and tartar sauce as well as a coke. I did not even get one refill on the coke. They never brought out the slaw and I had to ask two people for my sauce. By the time I got it 20 minutes later my food was already cold. The waitress was nowhere to be found the entire time. Then for the privilege of eating in this fine establishment it was $79 bucks plus tip. To be fair, it seemed like other people were happy with their experience. Food was fresh and good quality I had the fried shrimp it was a smaller portion but for the price very reasonable. We sat atbar top overlooking the dunes and could see the ocean. Comfortable pre-sunset/moonrise dinner outside overlooking the beach. Amy ordered the coconut shrimp, Meg got the fish tacos and I had the shrimp boil. We loved every bite, including the wedge salad! The Deck is a fun spot right on the beach at Tybee. While you can't really see the water because of the dunes, you can definitely feel the beach vibe with the ocean breeze and laid-back atmosphere. Service was amazing, especially Josh at the bar (great margaritas!) but the food was mediocre and lacked flavor. It's conveniently located at the Beachside Colony Hotel so we ate there three times. The Tybee salad had a huge mound of arugula but was scant on the champagne dressing and Candied Pecans, Goat Cheese and Strawberries. The Tempura Battered Fish Sandwich was extremely bland and in desperate need of salt or lemon. Even with malt vinegar I couldn't coax any flavor out of it and only ate a third of it. The Deck Burger was bland as well despite including Smoked Bacon, Smoked Provolone, Caramelized Onions, Tarragon Aioli, Bacon Jam, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Seasoned Fries. As I mentioned, great location overlooking the dunes and ocean with bars inside as well as poolside, and the margaritas and fries were tasty but overall disappointing food. read more

Oh man, what a fantastic way to end our vacation. We wanted to grab a late lunch before we took the kids to the beach for their final time. We looked at reviews for this place and were so happy we listened. Everything we had was delicious. The items that stuck out were the steak quesadillas on corn tortillas, the fried seafood basket, and the key lime martini. That martini was the best drink I've ever had. Relative, I understand. But it made its way to my favorite drink ever. The staff were amazing and friendly, the service was fast. The restaurant itself is beautiful especially since it's right by the ocean. I went here to order takeout and the young girl at the bar takes my credit card and says I applied to 15% tip to your order and I thought what? I didn't say anything but the more I thought about it I think it's unethical that they would do this without telling you before you ordered. Warning, I guess the owner of this restaurant doesn't pay their employees enough to work there so they have to without warning to give themselves a 15% tip for a takeout order. No service was given other than handing me the bag by the way, we ended up throwing all the food away because the soup was way too fishy smelling and tasting, and the fried shrimp was just bland. read more

I went here while on vacation with my family for dinner. In total we had a party of eight with one of our party members being my adorable baby nephew. We were seated promptly and they provided us with a highchair for him. The waitress came and greeted us quickly after we were seated. We ended up doing a starter of the shrimp nachos and pretzel as appetizers and I had a pina colada to drink. For me, the shrimp nachos were just ok. While it's a novelty, it wasn't something that I would get again. I did not have the pretzel, so I can't comment on that. My frozen pina colada came out with a different color than I normally associate with pina colodas which is white. Mine and my brothers were both off colored, and taste was meh. I got the deck burger and the burger was ok. Our waitress did check on us occasionally and was very accommodating concerning the dietary requests of my nephew. Right along the beach, so decided to check it out since we were hungry. Ordered the tacos with tempeh and my friend got the fresh shrimp. My tacos were okay, but not a lot of flavor. My friend's fried shrimp was also just okay. He felt like it could have been a bit more battered. We also got frozen margaritas - but it was a bit more liquified than we anticipated and didn't taste that good. However, our waitress was personable and attentive, so nice staff.
