Awesome beachfront dining with one point of warning. Outside on the porch is a lovely spot for a meal, beverage or both. Just be aware that the local birds have an issue with outsiders sharing their space. Good Luck or not - no one likes being pooped on! We ordered strawberry daiquiris and a Tybee Salad and a chicken sandwich. Both items were tasty and filled the space available in our tummies. We did get a squirt gun dropped at our table to balance the scales of defense. We used it a few times. Needless to say no more surprises occurred. Friendly staff and great location. read more

This place is in the midst of a hotel. We were a little unsure where exactly it was located but they do have enough signs to get you to the restaurant. We were greeted and seated right seat. Service was overall excellent. The food presentation was great, but man does it lack flavor. We started with the chorizo roasted corn dip. It had very little flavor and the chips were kind of stale. My husband had the deck burger, it was watery and no flavor. How do you mess up a burger so bad? I had the chicken and waffle sandwich. First, there's no way to eat this as a sandwich, but that's ok. The waffle part was one of the best waffles I've ever had. The jalapeño syrup and chipotle mayo were great but man that chicken was the biggest disappointment. It looked amazing. I went here to order takeout and the young girl at the bar takes my credit card and says I applied to 15% tip to your order and I thought what? I didn't say anything but the more I thought about it I think it's unethical that they would do this without telling you before you ordered. Warning, I guess the owner of this restaurant doesn't pay their employees enough to work there so they have to without warning to give themselves a 15% tip for a takeout order. Service was amazing, especially Josh at the bar (great margaritas!) but the food was mediocre and lacked flavor. It's conveniently located at the Beachside Colony Hotel so we ate there three times. The Tybee salad had a huge mound of arugula but was scant on the champagne dressing and Candied Pecans, Goat Cheese and Strawberries. The Tempura Battered Fish Sandwich was extremely bland and in desperate need of salt or lemon. Even with malt vinegar I couldn't coax any flavor out of it and only ate a third of it. The Deck Burger was bland as well despite including Smoked Bacon, Smoked Provolone, Caramelized Onions, Tarragon Aioli, Bacon Jam, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Seasoned Fries. Oh man, what a fantastic way to end our vacation. We wanted to grab a late lunch before we took the kids to the beach for their final time. We looked at reviews for this place and were so happy we listened. Everything we had was delicious. The items that stuck out were the steak quesadillas on corn tortillas, the fried seafood basket, and the key lime martini. That martini was the best drink I've ever had. Relative, I understand. But it made its way to my favorite drink ever. The staff were amazing and friendly, the service was fast. The restaurant itself is beautiful especially since it's right by the ocean. I went here while on vacation with my family for dinner. In total we had a party of eight with one of our party members being my adorable baby nephew. We were seated promptly and they provided us with a highchair for him. The waitress came and greeted us quickly after we were seated. We ended up doing a starter of the shrimp nachos and pretzel as appetizers and I had a pina colada to drink. For me, the shrimp nachos were just ok. While it's a novelty, it wasn't something that I would get again. I did not have the pretzel, so I can't comment on that. My frozen pina colada came out with a different color than I normally associate with pina colodas which is white. Mine and my brothers were both off colored, and taste was meh. I got the deck burger and the burger was ok. Our waitress did check on us occasionally and was very accommodating concerning the dietary requests of my nephew. Right along the beach, so decided to check it out since we were hungry. Ordered the tacos with tempeh and my friend got the fresh shrimp. My tacos were okay, but not a lot of flavor. My friend's fried shrimp was also just okay. He felt like it could have been a bit more battered. We also got frozen margaritas - but it was a bit more liquified than we anticipated and didn't taste that good. However, our waitress was personable and attentive, so nice staff. The Deck is a fun spot right on the beach at Tybee. While you can't really see the water because of the dunes, you can definitely feel the beach vibe with the ocean breeze and laid-back atmosphere. The view and the friendly staff easily deserve 5 stars. The food, however, gets 3 stars. It was underwhelming, to say the least. I was disappointed and wished we had chosen a fresher seafood spot. While the presentation looked promising, the taste didn't live up to it. Portions were generous, and the service was quick, but with only four people in the restaurant. The coconut shrimp did not have any taste to it, and the grouper lacked freshness, though the sauce was flavorful. The vegetables were lackluster as well. Oddly enough, the fries were the standout--they were amazing! Finding the restaurant was a bit tricky. The sign wasn't lit at night, and since it's located inside a resort, you'll need to park and walk to get there, which can be confusing. read more

A little hard to find as it's tucked away on the beach side of a hotel complex. But once you get there the restaurant is very comfortable with a nice beach view. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Great service. Had a couple local Tybee Island beers along with fried local shrimp and fries. The shrimp were very fresh and the breading was light so they were crispy while not being at all greasy or heavy. Both the tarter sauce and cocktail sauce were tasty. Great for dipping both the shrimp and fries. Solid place for a nice lunch at the beach. read more

He offered us good recommendations and sold their menu well. Food: The shrimp and piña colada was great! I would come again! Everything was also very affordable. Ambiance: One side of the restaurant faces the ocean, the other side a hotel pool. Luckily the hotel pool side was not terribly chaotic while we were eating dinner. We came for lunch and sat on the patio outside. We were seated at a table partly in the sun so we asked to move to an empty table next to us. Our server said no because we apparently had to stay at a table in his section although there were many empty tables on the patio. He gave us only one other table option that was furthest away from the beach but fully shaded. Weird start to the meal! But, the salmon poke bowl was delicious as was the seasonal sangria.
