Really enjoyed dinner here! The service was insanely fast for a Saturday night and our service was awesome! It was pretty packed so we got stuck in a tiny, uncomfortable corner table in the back of the restaurant, but besides that, it was a pretty enjoyable time and we would recommend !

    One of their gourmet pizzas....fantastico!

Old Bull is a bona fide locals spot. We came in for dinner the other night and this place was packed!! We didn't have to wait long, however and in no time our awesome server had custom cocktails in our hands. As an appetizer we ordered the oysters Rockefeller, which honestly I've had better but it's not the end of the world. We did share one of their gourmet pizzas and it was an absolute home run. I can't wait to come back and try one of their main dishes. This is one place you should really try out, as a visitor or a local. There is a lot to choose from to keep you coming back, and this establishment is uniquely....Beaufortonian...lol

Food was as expected... phenomenal! I got the rack of lamb - slow cooked, falling off the bone tender on a bed of mashed taters, my date got the duck breast - amazing is what I heard, she never let me take a bite lol, but sweet taters were killer. We shared the burrata for an appetizer - the fresh creamy mozzarella balanced the tangy balsamic drizzle. And we closed out with tiramisu - it was rumored to be huge (that's what she said!) and it lived up to the hype. Drinks: old fashioned - bullet rye, London calling (gin drink), and old bull mule (my favorite) was a spicy ginger infused house bourbon drink... I'd have 2-3 in a sitting! Service: Kat (with a k!) was fun, engaging and timely. Her playful approach to serving us was par for the experience, top notch. Ambiance: a true side street gem hidden in downtown Beaufort that is a must see reclaimed building with a rich history. Indoor, bar and outdoor seating available. Reservations recommended during busy season and weekend nights. Great date night joint. Come ready to make memories!!!

Absolutely delicious! We made reservations for Saturday at 8pm, and thank goodness we did because the place gets packed! We were in town for a 5K, which was also during the shrimp festival, so Beaufort was alive. When we arrived, we were seated and ordered a few drinks, which came out quickly. Our waitress was amazing, and the interior is lovely. Definitely the true definition of a gastropub. We ordered a burger and a pizza, and finished both ! Unsure if we were starving or used to the large food portions in Savannah, but there were tons of crumbs left behind. Since we're talking about Savannah,I'll say the prices for meals were significantly less expensive, and we loved it! This gastropub has subtle romantic vibes as well, which was perfect for date night.

We have never had a bad meal or bad service when dining at the Old Bull. It is all a pleasure dinning here. The Roasted Oysters were exceptional, the Spoleto pasta is always a favorite (did not disappoint), and seared salmon was cooked to perfection. Cocktails and wine are always great.

Fabulous drinks and awesome pizza. We had the baked feta, which wasn't my favorite as the cheese was melting to the bottom of the pan so it was hard to scoop up. The Sardinian pizza was crisp and loaded with goat cheese. Comes with six slices so enough for three people to share. we sat outside on the patio and they do have fans with some parts in the shadow. The inside is pretty small so there was a wait. There are only two restrooms and the back one is extremely hot. Our dishes came out very quickly, even though the restaurant was full.

I'm a local and I'll always recommend Old Bull to anyone visiting Beaufort! The ambience is amazing and you can count on two things 1. AMAZING food options and a very expansive menu and 2. Drinks that will have you coming back for more and likely stumbling out! The staff is kind and helpful and you'll come across some great people at the bar. Food comes fast and drinks are made perfect every time.

The food here was fantastic, but the wait after ordering was horrible. We had reservations and it was fairly busy. Lots of large, very loud groups around us made it difficult to have a conversation with the people at our table. I wish they had told us the kitchen was behind or something, we waited almost 2 hours from ordering until we got our food. We were about to get up and leave, when they finally told us our food was coming up next. We were STARVING by that time, and probably would have ordered immediately upon arriving if we knew the food would take that long. I'll be back, but I'll ask how long the wait for food is before sitting down next time.

Parents of these children, have a little self awareness and tell your kids to put their tablets on mute or buy them some headphones or earbuds. WTF? Service: Our waitress did a good job of getting our drink orders correct and our food came out pretty quickly 4/5 Food: I had the patty melt and my wife had a burger. The food was above average. 3.5/5 The beer: This is where things went sideways . I've had SBB's core beers before and they are pretty solid, especially the Damn Yankee IPA. We decided to get two flights of beer. The flights had all 8 of their small batch releases. They were terrible. I would only order 1 out the 8 again. The two Belgian beers and the sour had a strong vinegar taste. The others were unremarkable. 1/5 I'd go back for the core beers and food, but would be very leery ordering any small batch beers Overall rating 2/5. It would have been a. 3/5 rating if I didn't order any small batch beers.

The greeting from our arrival to seating was prompt and very courteous. We got suggestions from the wait staff and started our experience. They have an extensive cocktail and wine list. We started with a drink called Southern Hospitality and their branded Old Fashioned. Both drinks were exceptional. We accompanied that with Grilled Octopus, which was sensational. Very hard not to make it chewy. Great char and sauce that accompanied it. For entrees, we did the Perloo, an amazing interpretation, and a swordfish. Both dishes were immaculately prepared and perfectly sized. We chose a bottle of Loss and Lehn, something we had never tried before but recommended based on what we had ordered. It matched perfectly with both dishes. We also choose items from the pick 3 menu to accompany our entrees. We finished with the best bread Pudding we have ever had nd french press coffee. The price was very reasonable considering the quality and the service, and should not be missed next time you are in Savanah.

With my wife's gluten and dairy allergy, plus my tree nut allergy, Alpha-Gal, and diabetes, we're usually a decent stress test for a kitchen. Staff handled questions professionally and didn't make ordering feel complicated. Atmosphere strikes a nice balance--upscale enough for a date night or business dinner, but still relaxed and comfortable. Service was attentive without hovering. I definitely do not regret our decision as we had a great meal. The interior ambiance of the restaurant truly transports to another place, it is truly beautiful. Our server was so gentle and gave us many recommendations on things to try and even accommodated some of requests. We started with the Espresso Martini and non-alcoholic French 75 (my first time) and these were both great. For appetizers, we had the crab croquettes (cakes), escargots and caesar salad. Everything was delicious (including the complimentary bread) , and to our surprise the Caesar salad had a nice crunch with the addition of fried frog leg pieces (if I'm not mistaken). The main entrees were the stars of the night, while we were originally inclined to try their Steak & Frites, our server recommended the steak tips sautéed over mushroom sauce with pasta and this was the perfect match instead of the classical French fries pairing. We also had the Supreme Roasted Chicken with caramelized veggies and everything was cooked to perfection. We did not leave without dessert and tried their Créme Brûlée, and while it was runnier than usual, the flavor was there. We thought it needed more time. Overall a great experience while in Savannah!

But where to eat, how to get to the restaurant, and back to theatre on time for the concert while making it easy, no stress, fun, relaxing, taste enthralling, thrilling, care free, laid back, exciting, entertaining, safe, and logistically possible? Well, let's see Sweetpea. How about we arrive at 4:30 PM, and park at the Liberty Street Parking garage, right accross the street from the Johnny Mercer Theatre. Easy, check. Next we get an Uber to the Six Pence Pub. Why? No stress, check. We start our meal, with one of their adventuresome, tasty, cocktails which are all fantastic. "But how about getting to the Concert?" Please remember Poindexter (I.e. my name for my conscience), we're not driving until after the concert is over which leaves us about five hours to recover from our cocktail before dinner, or two, you Devil you! Relaxing, check. We next get to experience eating some of the most delicious food in Savannah, GA. From the Crab Cake, to the Scotch Eggs, to the Smoked Salmon to their bombastic Broiled Portabella, their appetizers were both savory and palette pleasing. Then our companions had their outstanding, tastebud tintilating, French Onion and Chicken Noddle soups which are both made from scratch. Yea, yea, French Onion and Chicken Noodle soup, big deal. If you have not had it, I am here to tell you, there is nothing ordinary about either, as both were very delicious. We then dined on their Open Roast Beef, their Tender Pot Roast, their Atlantic Salmon all of which offered a very pleasing, tremendous taste in their own right. However, the Broiled flounder stuffed with shrimp and scallops was so exceptional, we ordered another two of these entrees so we could all share this dish as part of each of our meals. Taste enthralling, check. Please note, I did not write the words, "Pub Food" above as the Six Pence Pub's fare will thrill your tastebuds right down to the last morsel. Thrilling, check. Our Server was exceptional, timely, and personable. Care free, check. Our ambience was simply Pub delightful! Laid back, check. But then the bill came and lo and behold our friend had to stand and do a little Irish jig, or did he have to go to the bathroom?... Nah, it was the very reasonable pricing that pleased us all as we scampered to catch our Uber. No, wait a minute, we did not dine and dash. We would never dine and dash. We tipped our Server handsomely, paid our bill, and then we all scampered to catch our Uber as we were all feeling wonderful. Exciting, check. We made the show with twenty-five minutes to spare, which left us enough time to buy our lovely dinner companions a show Tee Shirt to memorialize our evening together. Our show was extremely entertaining which thrilled us all, to no end. Thanks Steve and Martin, you're the best! Thrilling, and entertaining, double check. Logic dictates that when we were able to throughly enjoy our evening while having an easy, no stress, fun, relaxing, taste enthralling, thrilling, care free, laid back, exciting, entertaining time that it is, in fact, logistically possible.
