Bricks on Boundary is an American eatery and bar located just outside of the historic area of Beaufort. It consists of an indoor seating area, a central bar, and a nice brightly decorated patio area. There are several TVs placed at the bar and throughout the restaurant to catch some games. I went with their Brickyard chicken sandwich. It is a solid and filling sandwich, with a generous cut of chicken on a hearty bun. The fries that came along with it were a somewhat thinner variety which I liked. Service was friendly and quick, which is just what I needed for a quick lunch. While it won't win any awards, Bricks on Boundary is a solid option for a decent meal in Beaufort. read more

After our epic 2+ hours bicycle ride on the nearby Spanish Moss Trail, we were famished! This place was highly rated and we were only 5 minutes away. Hubby had fish n chips. I couldn't take a picture since he gobbled it down so quickly. Between bites, I heard only praise at how awesome his meal was. Generously 3 pieces of fish, served piping hot. I had their house burger: Two fried eggs, fresh tomato, pickles, onions, crispy bacon, and cheese piled high on a fresh bun and a fat patty cooked perfectly! I always order my fries extra well done and I have never complained if I get them and they are burnt. More often than not, my request is forgotten or ignored, and I end up with regular-cooked spuds, which is what I thought happened during our visit. However.... The lovely and amazing server named Amber, brought us a second order of piping hot extra crispy fries without being asked. :) She apologize that our first order hadn't been quite cooked enough, dropped off the order of fries with a big smile. Awesome! Lots of parking, totally wheelchair, accessible, space outside for dogs to hang out. Good layout, typical bar/eating areas. Looks like there may have been a pool table in there at one point (there's a nice big space for one, but there are tables and chairs instead?). Overall cleanliness, pretty good. I would recommend that the framed pictures at the tables be properly cleaned as there was food splatter on them. Another suggestion: We noticed that the young lady/hostess, who originally seated us, did not give off very friendly/happy vibes. Maybe just an off day for her, but as far as first impression goes, it could've been better. Small discomfort was how cold it was inside... maybe the AC was turned on full blast? Maybe we were just super hot from being outdoors exercising? Brrr... And finally, if we go back, we would not choose a booth seat again. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I am saddened to write this review because I've come to this establishment numerous times and always recommend this place; my aunt comes every other week. Unfortunately, I nor her will be back and will advise others as well to go elsewhere. My server was kind but the manager BRITNEY was EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I had to practically beg the manager to come out to see the raw burger and I am not sure why but we still had to pay for all the burgers even though they were all RAW. My best friend and I just ate at Bricks On Boundary for the second time while visiting Beaufort. There are so many good restaurants in Beaufort, but, we liked it so much last year, we returned this year AND ordered the exact same meals! We stopped by on our way back home to Charlotte and were disappointed that we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food. We were going to leave a rating of three star but our chicken sandwich and house salad were very good and our server deducted 15% off because of the delay. read more

I shared grilled flounder tacos, sort of hard to find the fish under all that slaw mess on it. Only okay. Hubby had a meatloaf sandwich, but the white gravy on top was a bit scorched tasting. Crack fries were on 2 1/2 stars. Again nothing special. The wedge salad was not a wedge at all. It was a big bowl of iceberg lettuce. Our waitress was sweet. The hostess was nice. There was no wait for a table. Portions are large. Restrooms are unisex and clean. Ample parking. Sports bars with lots of TVs. Live music was outside. While this restaurant came highly recommended, I would hesitate to recommend it to others. read more

What a great local spot. I can't believe we haven't been here until last night. When you walk inside, the dining room is centered by a large bar with many TV sets, and the layout is great. The staff is prompt, polite and they all look like they enjoy working here, and that's huge. Makes the experience better. We just stopped in for a drink and an appetizer (try the buffalo shrimp!!) but we are looking forward to coming back soon for a full meal! read more
