We had a family dinner at Bricks on Boundary during a Marine boot camp graduation visit. They don't take reservations, except for groups over 10 - there were 19 of us. It was pretty much perfect. Everyone had great food, the service was really nice and the prices were about what you'd expect for touristy town - maybe even a little less. We had a bunch of little kids with us and requests for extra stuff were cheerfully accommodated. All in all we had a lovely time and though we can't foresee a time when we would be there again, we would love to go another time. read more

Great experience! We came in with family from out of town and was pleasantly greeted and seated on the patio as requested. Menu was able to accommodate the whole family with something for everyone! The patio was clean. The food was hot and fresh with large portions! We were celebrating an Anniversary and Brooklyn was so patient and helpful as we had a large party and lots of needs. Unless you want fried shrimp... Run away! Run away!!!!! This was awful! We ordered the fried pickles and mushrooms for an appetizer. These came out as big blobs of half cooked batter with multiple slices of pickles and mushrooms in each blob. I broke one open to show the manager and it was a PIECE OF FISH!! Yuck!!! I ordered the fish tacos and sautéed vegetables. 3 medium flour tortillas with 3 tiny slivers of fish, COVERED with slaw. The fish had no flavor even after I scraped the slaw off. The "flounder" was mushy like tilapia. The manager's response.... "We are known for our fish tacos and we do use flounder." Seriously?? The sautéed vegetables were swimming in butter. Ugh. Hubs had the fried shrimp with the upgraded waffle fries. His shrimp were WONDERFUL. Some of the best he's ever had. The fries were hard and lukewarm - like they had been sitting around for a while. Not good. The bartender was super nice, but the manager was haughty. She did take off the fried "fish pickles ", but no apology and no further interaction. So many other better places to eat in Beaufort.... Keep driving. read more

So I was told the burgers were a must try so I stopped by Brick's to see if they held up to the praise. I tried the Mushroom Swiss Burger. I was a bit disappointed only because if you advertise mushroom and Swiss I'm thinking it will be smothered with those ingredients that make it amazing. Unfortunately it was the bare minimum of ingredients so they could call it a mushroom and Swiss burger. The other ingredients on the burger were ones you'd normally just find on a regular burger. If I came back I'd try their regular burger but honestly I know of other places to get a delicious burger. I also had their appetizer of fried mushrooms and pickles. While they are good, they are VERY salty. It was a decent size amount of food though and you can definitely share it with another person. The service was acceptable and the food came out timely. However, I did go around 4 so it wasn't that busy. read more

Ordered fired tomatoes. They were fresh and delicious. Ordered the blackened flounder dinner with side salad. Salad came out with dinner. Flounder looked puney, sad and frozenly dead. The "sautéed veggie's" tasted like they were poured from a bag of frozen medley veggies from Walmart, AND weren't cooked all the way through. Ice cold center. Nice place for an early dinner/late lunch. They've got a decent, eclectic menu. My wife and I each got a mixed drink before the meal. Hers was a bricks island punch, that she really enjoyed. I decided on an old fashioned that was pretty mediocre, but that was probably my fault for ordering something that was not on the menu. We split a quesadilla roll with chicken and 2 sides of mixed vegetables. The bill came to 45 bucks, which I thought was a little high, but the quesadilla was really good and our server, Brooklyn was personable and attentive. She earned them the 5 stars. read more

My favorite bar food in Beaufort (actually anywhere). We have been frequenting Bricks for several years -- mostly with my weekly guys get togethers, but with my wife and family as well. Bricks is consistently good; and any time we have had any issues they have gone above and beyond to make it right (the guys require "hot-crispy fries" -- we are a bit picky). Today we had Maria as our server and she was fantastic and attentive. It's a bar / sports bar, so the atmosphere is what you expect. Today, my wife and I took my father and he was quite pleased. I live in Beaufort and would not even think of ever visiting san francisco -- not sure why Yelp is slandering me with such a location. read more

We were disappointed in our lunch at Bricks on Boundary. I had the meatloaf sandwich. The gravy was nondescript. The meatloaf was tasteless. The fries weren't hot. My wife had the nachos with chili. There wasn't a lot of chili. Service was attentive, they wanted to make sure our unsweetened ice tea glasses were full. We hadn't been there for quite awhile, the meal service was slow, disappointing. The servers were friendly enough but the lunch service was slow. read more

Prices are fair. Restaurant and restrooms are clean. There is outdoor seating and seating at the bar. There is plenty of seating but limited staff . The food was big portions. When we seated ourselves in one of the vacant booths, the hostess kindly told us we had to wait at the bar for "at least 15 minutes" before being served. Huh? When we asked why, she said, "It's our policy." When we asked if we could wait in a booth, she replied, "Sorry, no." Why the policy? we asked. She shrugged and said she didn't know. We left. We could only conclude that their "policy" is a ham-handed way to coerce customers to order bar drinks. Utterly bizarre! We won't be returning. read more

Out of all the restaurants i've tried here so far the service at Bricks and Boundary was OUT OUT OF THIS WORLD! Our server was Brooklyn her personality really lit up the room she was so well informed and made some great recommendations. The crack fries were crack and i'll just say the nachos were crack too. I was looking through the pictures and the deconstructed brownie with ice cream drew me in. Needless to say I was disappointed. The brownie tasted like it was stale and that they put it in the microwave to reheat it up and then threw ice cream on top of it. The service was awesome. The server was new and she did a very good job. The atmosphere was OK it is truly a bar. I also ordered lemon pepper, wings, and teriyaki wings. The wings still had feathers on them which I had to kind of pull out or pick off the lemon pepper wings had no taste whatsoever, teriyaki wings, and very little sauce.
