We were seated promptly and greeted right away. Our waitress, Meliza, was polite, went out of her way and made a cocktail sauce herself because not on the menu. We were not going to have the bread and she told us it was excellent. We went with the bread and was not disappointed. We split two appetizers, coconut shrimp and the Tuna Wonton. The tuna wonton could have been a meal, excellently made, prefect texture of the tuna and the coconut shrimp were just as good though a little smaller portion. I was excited to try this restaurant that I had bookmarked, and it was a terrific experience from food to service and atmosphere. My waitress recommended the Tuna Wonton appetizer. Yes, please! I was shocked with the plentiful serving size of this appetizer and decided this was lunch! It's basically a deconstructed wonton as the grilled tuna, Asian slaw are served on a crispy wonton chip. It's drizzled with a sesame vinaigrette and sprinkled with sesame seeds. I requested a bit of their wasabi mayo condiment and it was delish with the tuna. As an appetizer it would easily serve 6. We went to truffles for my birthday on my birthday! Parking was easy and we were seated immediately. We ordered a basket of gf bread which was 2 pieces of white bread toast cut in half. The herbed butter was delicious so it made up for the bread. I ordered the mango glazed salmon and it was delicious. The pineapple and mango topping was amazing and the rice was tasty. The green beans were fresh but bland. The mashed potatoes with the chicken and crab cake were quite creamy. My husband loved his crab cake and my daughter loved the chicken. I recently visited this establishment for a business dinner with clients. Being from out of town and staying in Beaufort, there aren't many restaurants open on Monday evenings, so Truffles was suggested by an associate. We had a party of 8, therefore I called ahead, and they were very accommodating in arranging our large-party seating. The parking outside is very ample, and the location is very accessible from the highway. The host staff greeted us with enthusiasm, and took our drink order quickly. Our servers answered all of our questions about the menu items listed, asked if we had any allergens, and was prompt with placing our appetizer orders and furnishing bread service. First, what an amazing menu! There is something for everyone, and it is listed out in a very elegant manner. Various salads, soup, seafoods, chicken, and beef entrees. This may sound odd, but I consider myself a coleslaw connoisseur, and this was easily the best slaw I've had in the South! You can tell a good restaurant by the slaw, and theirs was fresh and well prepared. The favorite at the table was the seared meatloaf, as well as the crab cakes, glazed chicken, and 8 oz filets. The meal service was lightening fast, and our drinks were refilled quickly too. There was a great simple, yet low-key elegant ambience, where it felt casual yet sophisticated.
