I really enjoy their food but accuracy on orders has been an issue - I regularly order one hot sandwich to eat immediately and an extra cold sandwich for later. Each time, I request all condiments for the cold sandwich to be on the side (nobody likes a soggy sando), they get it right about 1/2 the time. read more

Cj had so much attitude with my fiancé and I who went to buy sandwiches. When we walked in to order right away she kept taking deep breaths like she was annoyed she had to work and kept making weird/rude faces at my fiancé while he ordered for us. She also told us it would take 5 minutes if he wanted change, but when a different worker rang him up they were able to give us change right away. We overheard CJ saying "F this place I'm going to canes full time". Just because you hate your job CJ doesn't mean you should treat others poorly. You work in customer service, act like it. I'm sure canes won't want to hire you with that crap attitude either. Before we left, my fiancé called her out and said "what's with the rude faces you keep making at me?" And CJ got all embarrassed and red as a tomato. Treat people like crap, you're going to get called out. I feel sad that I have to leave this one-star review, considering I usually love firehouse subs, but this experience made us never want to return. Never had been to a firehouse subs before so thought I'd give it a try. Customer service was very attentive and helpful. My meal was made in perfect timing. The sandwich itself- I got a medium wheat bread turkey sandwich with lettuce tomatoes cucumber provolone cheese and onions. They have premade sandwiches to chose from but I'm the type who knows exactly what I want on mine. To finish it off , the sandwich was excellent the bread wasn't dried out it was nice and fluffy, the meat was warmed which was the perfect combination and the condiments just topped it off to be a great sandwich. read more

A favorite sandwich place and I love that they give back to our Firefighters and houses. BUT...I will no longer return to this Firehouse Subs. I have been a long time customer (years) and I am so disappointed at the ugly nasty attitude the manager (or person in charge) and the assistant gave me. They were the ones that didn't get my food out timely and put a repair guy ahead of an internet order. Never order online. I would have been better just walking in. And the time promised for the sandwiches to be ready is generated by their system I didn't choose it , something the person in charge didn't seem to know!! Worse than Arby's. Don't know what else to say. The picture of the cheddar roast beef showed nice thin sliced pieces of roast beef, slathered in a robust cheese sauce. I expected that, at worst, it would look like an Arby's sandwich: dry, sliced roast beef, with generic cheese sauce. What I actually got looked like cat food drowning in a thin mixture of mayo and the memory of cheese. The bread was completely soggy as soon as I got my sandwich. I contemplated complaining, pointing out the obvious discrepancy between photo on the wall and product, but I didn't want to deal with the gaggle of bros who were running the place. First time going. Server needs to volunteer information to newcomers. I had to ask for each thing like where are chips that come with combo. He said you get them yourself. Most would go without as it is not explained or obvious. Also no mention we could have added items in sub. Just need more personable servers. The meat in Hero was high quality and plenty of it and the sub was very tasty. The picture showed whole slices of tomato and onion where it was only slivers and the leafy lettuce in picture is actually shredded lettuce-disappointing as I like to get what is advertised and this was not the same. We enjoyed our subs and feel they are better than other sub shops but they are pricey. We had one med sub with water and one large sub combo and Bill was over $21.00. read more

I took my boys to Firehouse Subs just a day or two after they opened. The decor inside is all firehouse themed but it feels kind of cheesy to me. They had a lot of employees working, which can be overwhelming, but I know it was due to them just opening. I ordered a veggie sub that turned out to be delicious. It had grilled onion and bell pepper, cheese, and sandwich veggies. The flavors were great! My kids each had a child's ham and cheese. They weren't happy, although it was not Firehouse's fault. All of their sandwiches are toasted (a la Quizno's) and my kids really dislike melted cheese. The supervisors offered to replace them but I used it as an opportunity to teach my kids about being adaptable when presented with something that's not quite what they want. The prices were a bit on the high side for what you get and the theme is over played and pretty dorky. The veggie sandwich is good, but I doubt that Firehouse will become a regular location for us. read more

Such a wonderful sandwich shop! Servers are always friendly and the subs are delicious (I am partial to the "Hero" sub). I particularly appreciate the generous portion of meat on the sandwiches as other restaurants tend be stingy...I'm guessing due to profit margins. Firehouse Subs' new spot on Ynez Road in Temecula just opened and I participated in the soft grand opening. I ordered the beef brisket and it was absolutely fabulous. Why 3-stars then, you ask? Well first of all, you gotta be "special" to get 5-stars. Why not 4-stars then, you ask? The PRICE! Over $11.00 for my combo meal that included the sandwich, chips, and a drink. The food is always fresh and hot, with a variety that allows me to change up my menu each time I dine. I've been to a couple Firehouse Subs locations in the past, but this was my first time here. Now, let's start with the 1-star deficit: for a Sunday, they were a bit understaffed at around 1:00 PM. Could've used 1 extra employee (or at least not 1 of them on break). However, they were friendly and nice, and overall it was an enjoyable experience. So, on to the food! I've found that there are a few categories of sandwich shops: the fast/cheap ones (Subway/Jimmy John's), the fast-casual ones (Jersey Mike's/Submarina), and the warm ones (Firehouse/Quizno's). So, I'm not going to compare it to any of those outside its category. Firehouse has a distinct difference to Quizno's; it's almost like Biggie & Tupac. In fact, that'd be a great SAT question: "Tupac is to Biggie as Quizno's is to..." Firehouse screams East Coast to me; it reminds me of some of the other warm sandwich places back East, like Potbelly or Penn Station. And that's a good thing. Quizno's is great (in fact, I believe their Chicken Carbonara on Rosemary Parmesan is a perfect food), but Firehouse is equally as good, just different. Even though they use Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ (you couldn't develop your own? seriously?), their Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket is great. Really, it's pretty awesome. My *only* complaint is that the meat can be a bit fatty at times; otherwise, it's a great sandwich. My wife and I split a large (40/60, respectively) on white (which is really more like Italian-style hoagie), and did a combo with chips and an extra drink, and it was plenty filling for both of us. Additionally, the location was clean, including the drink station, which can be rough for any type of fast/fast-casual restaurant. So, in short, give this place a shot; you'll be glad you did! read more

This place was OK. It had a great look and so I had pretty high expectations but in the end, it was just a sandwich and it tasted fine.

My favorite sub place! I order the hero sub or hook & ladder sub. Both amazing. I normally don't eat ham in my sandwiches but their ham has so much flavor! I'm obsessed!! :-) My husband gets the Italian sub and ravs over it! So happy they opened closer to my house (which is still 20 minutes away but for is worth the drive). Came here for lunch with the family today and we've decided this is our favorite sandwich spot. Food was very good for the cost, we were definitely full with food leftover. My husband and son really enjoyed the sandwiches, my daughters said the place was really cool and wanted to come back. The chicken salad sandwich was good, I'm glad it didn't just taste like mayo like most other chicken salads I get. My daughter who is a picky eater said the grilled cheese was really yummy (apparently not all grilled cheeses are created equal). We recently celebrated my grandsons Highschool graduation and chose Firehouse Subs over some of the other subs in town to cater our party. I had only eaten there once at an airport in Florida so I had to trust my daughter who highly recommended Firehouse. We chose three party boxes (2 deluxe and one regular) and a large bowl of meatless salad. I was a little afraid that the sandwiches might be too small so I added the regular box just in case. We had 25 people who ate at least two or more sandwiches and had sandwiches left to send home with those who wanted midnight snacks. The sandwiches were a nice size and came with plenty of condiments and bowls and other helpful utensils which made it easy to serve. The pickles were great also. I want to thank the owners and the gentleman at the shop for being patient with me when I placed the order. I would highly recommend you allow Firehouse subs to cater your party. read more

I'm a huge fan of firehouse subs, the first time I had a chance to try their food was in Orange County. This place just opened & fulfilled every expectation of the food & service; the minor issue I have is the location is outside the mall which might not be ideal, the space is also small. I had the Italian, with Genoa salami, pepperoni, & ham. It's seasoned perfectly & every bite has the flavors & equal parts of the sandwich. It might seem pricy compared to subway or the more popular jersey mikes but it goes towards a fire fighter fund raising organization & the tasty food is certainly worth it. Firehouse Subs is a new entrant in the race for "Mediocre Sandwich Restaurant", and faces stiff competition from the likes of Subway, Togo's and many others. I was blown away by the sheer incompetence and lackadaisical attitudes of the employees, who when asked for an update on the sandwich I had ordered, had no idea what to tell me other than to wait "another 5 to 10 minutes." Note: Beware of going to this place during the lunch hour, as these people get totally flustered and lose all sense of job roles, efficiency, and speed. In Firehouse's defense, I was given a full refund and a voucher for a free sub. All in all, I think three stars is fair for this kind of experience. read more

I've never been to this chain before, but when my mom told me that I would get a free large drink with any sub purchase, I decided to come check them out... ...and I'm glad I did! Yes, the subs are a few dollars more than Subway, but you get what you pay for. I had the Hook & Ladder medium sub, with the pickle spear on the side and provolone cheese, mayonnaise & honey mustard only. The bread was warm, soft and overall good. I was full and happy. There was one guy who acted like a jerk to Becsy, asking for his money back on his soda cup because "his family was waiting and he couldn't wait for them to change the soda sweetener", but she handled it very professionally & nicely, refunding his money. Now, this isn't Universal Studios. Check if the soda you want is available on the machine BEFORE you waste a cup and people's time. That irked me in a big way how he acted. Also, they aren't going to hold up the whole machine to change ONE soda. That isn't cost efficient, so they have to wait until a few run out. Overall the staff here is super friendly and very efficient. Becsy was very nice, helpful and great to have a conversation with. I WILL be back to this Temecula location! read more

I was not aware that it was 30 minutes to closing time, but I ended up putting 2 and 2 together after I noticed the bathrooms were "closed"! The two employees also covered up the trash disposal openings with a metal tray to keep customers from placing trash in the trash can! They told me to give them my trash and they took my tray to the back to throw it into one central area. The young girl was also sweeping the dining area while I was eating! She had also stacked chairs in half of the restaurant so customers only had a certain section to sit at. Basically, the employees are cleaning the place while it is still "Open", inconveniencing the customers.
