Nice clean facility with friendly staff, my second time renting from them, will use them again in the future

If you're looking for a place to store your stuff, I HIGHLY recommend Extra Space Storage. It's in a convenient location, the grounds are always clean and quiet, the staff is friendly and helpful and last but certainly not least, it's an affordable climate-controlled facility. I've stored some of my belongings there for the last couple years and in that time I've not had one single complaint about them. Thankfully I now have a space big enough to accommodate all my things, but should I ever need a storage facility in the future, I'd use this place again in a heartbeat. read more

Totally impressed by the exceptional customer service and professionalism of Raul Macz, Store Manager, who answered all my questions and assisted me with setting up a storage space rental. Everything went very smoothly with gate and building access, unloading my things into the space and exiting property. I appreciated their discounted online rate, which are very competitive. As a woman, I felt safe at the storage facility as codes are required to access the gated areas, each of the buildings and hallways are well lit. BEWARE!!!! This place is HOMOPHOBIC. My wife and I were asked to leave. We were confronted by a staff member about kissing. She told us "they can't be having that inappropriate behavior here". They don't allow you to use the restrooms either. I had my wife there who has a rare medical condition and had to use the bathroom. She wasn't going to make it if I had to pack up, drive out, find a place for her to use the bathroom etc. For these two reasons supposedly they asked us to leave. Julian, one of the managers, who is beyond rude and condescending, told us the other residents complained and were offended by my wife and I kissing. Don't gays have rights? Are we not allowed to kiss In public'? They didn't care what we said, they spoke over me and said "you're leaving and vacating now!" I was floored and flabbergasted!! I've never in my LIFE, been evicted or asked to leave ANY facility. They gave me 4 days to move on top of it. Refusing to refund my money, only giving me a part of it. HORRIBLE, SCANDALOUS COMPANY!!! This was the most pleasant experience I've probably ever had with a business, mainly due to the manager Kassie Frazier! I hope Extra Space appreciates her! She runs a tight ship, she knows the people who store there, she is kind, fun, friendly and always greeted us warmly. Not only did she always remember us but she'd ask how our granddaughter was doing too. The place is clean, safe, well run, tidy, clean bathrooms etc. Kassie is just amazing. when we moved our stuff out the only hard part was saying goodbye to Kassie, she is the type of employee that every employer dreams of having. Kassie is the worst manager. I could give here 0 stars if there is! She said she mailed my rate increase based on August 14 or whatever date they have in the computer and I just received it this week (last week of August). That is not even a proof of the exact mailing of the card and it does not give her customers the 30 days notice to move out because she refuses to take in consideration that I have rented the 10x10 for 2 years now. I was told that next time I should call them because they will work with customers on rate increases. Now she refuses to acknowledge it and changing the words it to "we will see if there is anything we can do". And said, "I apologize, there is nothing we can do". They can't seem to keep their word on what they promised! read more

I've rented quite a few storage units in many different states, and my experience here so far has been absolutely superior. The units are extremely clean, and seem to be in a very safe area. This was my first time renting a storage unit and I was a little nervous and hesitant. However the storage manager made the whole thing as simple and easy for me as possible. Nice facility, but after being there for only a few months, they jacked up the monthly rent by 11 percent.

The staff here was so friendly when I 1st started renting here until recently one of the staff members seen my partner give me a kiss. Since then they have been very rude to me and have given me serious attitude and now I have been asked move my 3 units out of the location. I was disrespected by one of the employees. When I spoke with her district manager he made every excuse that i wasn't being mistreated because of my sexual preference and then he stated that doesn't happen in this day and age people are very accepting of GAYS. I am not sure what rock he is living under but he is not accurate. I have never missed a payment and pay all 3 units on time every month. But All of a sudden i am being asked to vacate my units after this employee seen my partner give me a kiss on the cheek. Right after that happen i went to the office a few times and i was seriously mistreated with attitude and disrespect words towards me. IF YOUR GAY STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORAGE COMPANY. read more

This Extra Space facility located at 9300 Research Dr., Irvine, CA, is brand spanking new, and is by far the best of the best I have ever used. This facility meets all expectations that a renter would expect and hope to have in a rental storage facility. Their facility is conveniently located off a quiet business street, and not far from the 405 freeway. They have always demonstrated customer satisfaction, safety, security, convenience, great verbal and written communication, and have always been helpful. Security cameras are everywhere, and access into the facility is by a security gate with your vehicle. The entire grounds and buildings are clean without trash, debris, or garbage. They play relaxing, and sometimes current dance MUSIC in each building, keeping you happy, relaxed, and moving to the music while working in your unit. The buildings are new with new technological heat and temperature controlled sustainable material that the building's interior maintains at a comfortable atmosphere for the storage units, while you comfortably work inside your unit. The facility has clean and easily maneuvering carts for loading and transporting your possessions, and ample loading and unloading areas near each storage building's entrance door for your convenience. The staff are great, helpful, knowledgeable, and assessable whenever you need them. I was always greeted by each staff with a smile, friendliness, and help whenever needed. Once, I couldn't find my storage key, so they graciously helped me without condemnation, or respite, and managed to cut my old lock. They also have special theft proof safety locks which must be purchased at their facility, but the security is so much superior than those I've experienced, and the minor inconvenience of paying a little more for extra protection is by far better. I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but their policy is you must purchase their rental insurance if you don't have a homeowner insurance policy in case there's any lost or damage to your property. Even though I never paid for additional insurance at any other facility, nor for a special lock, since this facility is the best I've ever experienced, those things are minor inconvenience in comparison to all you get here; helpful and caring staff, a brand new facility, very clean environment, great security for yourself and your possessions, easily assessable areas to load and unload your possessions, music inside each building, new and workable carts, security gate for entrance and exit of renters, easy access to and from the 405 freeway and main boulevards, understandable and sensible rental agreements, various payment options with email notifications, additional parking areas outside the gate for visitors, and large areas for unloading large trucks. If you decide you want a really great place to store your precious items, contact this facility because it truly is one of the best facilities in town, if not the best. read more
