They will not tell you that your "fully refundable" lock is only refundable at move in if you have your own lock. They also won't tell you that they don't prorate the monthly cost for move out until after your move out. I've used other public storages before and never have had such a poor experience. They won't let you select your unit but only point you to certain ones. They NEVER answer their phone and barely return voicemails. They only called me back once because I said I wouldn't pay (the mysterious "your late fees" after I had already paid on the first) until they called me to explain the change in charge. The unit itself is fine. The phone feature to open gates and doors only work if you're right up on it. You can only enter until 9 pm. read more

Don't rent here. They get you with the super cheap price when you come in. They have doubled my unit price. Started at $250 for a 10x 15 climate controlled unit. Then noticed they upped the price too 350 and now at 1 year the upped it again to 450!! WHY??? It's a fricken storage unit. This place is not worth it. Never sent me a email or notice saying the price was going up. Just hit my account. Take your business to a local storage unit. Not this money making giant. We have 2 units here. Awful!! They dont show true colors until after contract is signed. Don't let them fool you. It's a month to month rent and they can and will up charge you. BEWARE!!!!! I haven't even been there 6 months and the rent is already being increased. The list of issues/complaints is long, staring with the emails you receive don't reply to questions or comments. They didn't cancel the extra insurance cost they added to my bill and won't do a credit. The signal for the gate is so weak that you often can't open them without getting and manually entering the codes. They have a bait and switch with the prices to get you in since they know you probably won't go through the hassle of moving. read more

Groundwater seepage from local farm land, damaged a lot of my stuff, management not helpful when asked, office closed multiple times during office hours making it difficult to pay the rent, if you decide to rent here look for a unit furthest from farming area, another public storage facility in irvine was recently robbed, 20 or more units broken into, so use a good strong lock! read more

Noone was in the office during work hours at scheduled arrival time on November 7 2023. Also noone was picking up the phone. Access code from app did not work either. Wasted time waiting in front of the office for 30min and loading/unloading boxes. Awful experience so far. Could not reach main office either. Will try returning later and decide how to resolve this. Update an hour later: Received a phone callback and came back. Tina met me at the office and was very helpful and attentive listening and explained that she was doing a routine walk around and their management does not allow to leave a message at the door or communicate in any other way customers when she is back at the office. As expected, I was not the first one getting in such situation. So the question to management, why it does not provide some sort of communication to workers on site when they are not in office. read more

They will increase your rent with only 30 days' notice. I was here six months, and they were going to increase my rent from $271 to $349, that's almost 29%. There is nothing you can do but ask them to delay it by three months. The restrooms have been locked for over three months, and they tell you the contractors have the keys. I will be emptying my unit soon. Photos to show the rent increase are included. They are renting out two units the same size as mine as of this moment for less than my original payment, but yet they are going to increase my unit to $349. read more

I was looking for the best way to remove some stuff and add more to the PS space I already am in. Howard was amazingly helpful in going through all the options. He clarified the best timing options, too. When I reserved a new space, he fought with a non-responsive computer and knew how to get everything handled so I got what I wanted. I've been a PS customer for years, and have met a number of managers and staff. Howard takes the top award. (And as a side note, the new space was clean and well maintained. At one point we had an outside unit; we now really appreciate having an interior unit that is air conditioned.) read more
