Upfront: I have been utilizing this storage company on and off, for years now…read more This review is to allow a small window into the truly exceptional staff that have saved my neck more than once. Last December, neigh on about a year ago, we were moving the Christmas decorations either into or out of, I cannot recall which it was, honestly. Needing a bit of motivation, for the return trip to the car, I reached into the upper breast pocket of my vest I was wearing at the time. Now, when this specific action occurred, I was just about to enter the elevator from the second floor, to ride to the first, thus ending this particular 'run'. As I did so, I fumbled my left earbud, and as luck would have it, the trajectory hurtled the tiny projectile straight into the crack between the elevator carriage, and the concrete shaft which houses the elevator mechanics and cables. Just like that....POOF. Gone. I checked Reddit; folks with the same issue all said "Give up now", or "...it's gone, Sir, you HAVE to let it go." Or so I thought. Realizing that I was devoid of money to replace a $250 set of Apple Earbuds, I called their office the very next day, hoping for some sort of Christmas Miracle. And let me tell you, Laura, the Holiday Earbud-saving Angel sent from above, delivered just that. She was entirely empathetic, listening to a grown man whimper over his lost toy. She sprang into action, checking the schedule for the next elevator servicing date. Despite having been recently serviced by the tech, she somehow arranged to get the Elevator mech back onsite, into the darkness of the void...far below the extremely heavy and seemingly unmoveable stealer of my tiny, happiness-enducing sound producers. All for a quick pluck of my now oddly-soiled earbud. (I don't know what was down there, and I'm not asking.) Laura came in for the win. From loss, to panic, to mobilization of her business network, all to save a clumsy dad a few bucks around the holidays. Cannot thank her enough. This is the team worth supporting.

The electrician that came out once a day late complained the whole time and is utterly unlicensed. This place is cheap even though they raise the rent every 6 months. The guy never fixed the problem and was supposed to be here at 8 this morning because we have work. Still not here. below in the photo that you can see they gave me the generic line to call to clear up the concern when I called it after 10 minutes of waiting they told me that that was not the right place to be talking about my concerns and they couldn't help me. This place is about as lazy, cheap, inexperienced, unprofessional, and disrespectful as it gets. It's like working with a 16-year-old that just got a job for the very first time. I will not be suggesting this place to anybody in fact I will do my best to let everyone in the surrounding area know that it is a scam location that has units for you to rent, but they will not take care of you they will not provide assistance for you and they will not treat you well.

The Good: As movers, they're quick and efficient. They got the job done with minimal issue…read more(nothing was lost or damaged), so no complaints there. The Bad: John, the owner, is at best careless and at worst dishonest. I read the other negative reviews here, and that all seems pretty on-brand. He will bully you into accepting his shady practices. PDQ moved my stuff twice. The first time, John pressured me into signing a document saying they wouldn't be liable for anything damaged during the move. When I questioned him on this, he seemed offended that I would even ask and assured me that if he damaged anything he would pay for it out of pocket just because he would "feel bad." Then why have me sign a document? He just wanted me to take his word. I caved and signed it, and luckily nothing was damaged during the move. They moved my stuff into his buddy's storage, which he claimed would be prorated if I didn't use the whole month (it wasn't) and I could pay by credit card (I couldn't). The second time they moved my stuff, John brought an extra mover just so he could get "in and out" quicker (the rate for an additional mover was not worth the time it saved me). Then, his incorrect math overcharged me 0.5 hours (see attached photo). He was rushing me to sign the check, so I didn't bother to check his math (my bad, but still...). I didn't catch this error until I was going through old documents years later. 0.5 hours at $225/hour is... well, a lot of money. The entire experience left a poor taste in my mouth, like I had been taken advantage of. Personally, I would look for a mover with a bit more professional courtesy.

This is despite new unit rentals still being listed at low "promotional" rates. This is a predatory practice and it really sours my view of the company. Wanting more information, I called the facility directly, using the number listed on the website. The person that answered was pleasant and informative, and I had the information I wanted. No reservation or promises to rent were made or implied. A short time later, I received a call from a different person, Matthew, from a different phone number acknowledging my reservation for a 12x35 unit for $1360 a month. I called back, using the first number I called, and got the same representative as before. After explaining the situation, she advised there was no reservation in the system and claimed there must be some sort of error in the system. I took her on her word and was fine with that. The problem is, 7 hours later, I got another call from another different person, Brandon, from another different number again advising I had a reservation 12x35 unit and wanted me to visit/tour the facility. Something is very wrong with this organization. Either there's some sort of scam or bait and switch going on or the incompetence of the system is overwhelming. Either way, I certainly would not trust my property to be left with this company.

Luckily, i got fed up and searched for piano movers. Upon calling, i talked with an actual person. Very friendly conversation. I was told it would be a flat rate of $225. I was told that they would call a day before my move to confirm, and give me a window when the move would take place. Again, there was another friendly phone call with all the pertinent details. Today (the move day), i was called about 30 minutes before the move to let me know they were on the way. They were very prompt, friendly, and took great care with the instrument. Both pickup and delivery were extremely smooth, and the instrument was well taken care of through the whole process.
