The entire experience here with Terry Moving was phenomenal. My partner and I have moved many times in our life and we have had the full gambit of bad experiences with moving companies. I would say to be very cautious with any company that has five star reviews, we all know no one is perfect, yet you can find them on this platform and as it turns out, there are nothing but brokerage firms subcontracting to independent movers who do nothing at all to vet the personnel. I had Terry service move from Southern California to Virginia. On a tight timeline, and yes, he met the timeline. Also, I had rare merchandise to move Giant Scale model airplanes and guitars . The absolute best! Our original movers (I Moving) backed out on us the night before our move. To make matters worse, we were contracted to be out of our home within 48 hours. On a last minute referral from our RE agent, John Russell, we contacted Terry Moving. Armando, Victor, Ken and Jason were amazing from the moment they arrived at my home to help me move after 30 years. I hardly slept the night before and as soon as they showed up they surveyed the house and went right to work. They were respectful, kind and organized. This move from a four bedroom house in the hills to a small historic home in old town went like a dream. Terry Moving and Storage moved us from Mission Viejo to Meridian, Idaho. Led by Alfredo the crew packed up all of our furniture, wrapping everything in blankets while taping it securely. Everything was done professionally and the team of 5 was efficient , friendly and upbeat. The quoting process was easy. Scott did a survey of all our inventory and quoted us within 15 minutes. We even had our car transported on the same moving van. They arrived in Idaho in 2-1/2 days. Communication from Alfredo was excellent. I have seen these trucks around town and they looked really clean. I called to get an estimate and they came to our house the same day. Jim Fox did a very thorough job going through our house and yard. On moving day they showed up right at 8 all 5 guys were very friendly. They shrinked wrapped all our furniture then covered in blankets. They all worked fast and efficiently. We bought them lunch and all were very appreciative. It was a long day but they made the process so much easier. At the new house they asked where I wanted every piece of furniture and set up anything they took apart. This is a late review, I'm sorry it took so long. Terry Moving did such a great job from start to finish on our cross country move. Everyone from Jim, estimating our household cost of moving and getting things coordinated, to Tony, our driver, and the loading crew (coming and going) packing and unpacking the truck and taking such good care of our home and belongings. This was a large undertaking and a little stressful but Tony made it so peaceful and under control. Tony communicated with us throughout the whole trip. Terrys never let me down, I was skeptical the entire time but Mark and his crew from JB, Aaron, Sal, Joanna, Chuy, they were all kind, patient, passionate, amazing folks who helped make our move go smooth. It snowed on us all day here in Colorado and for us Californians, it was not pleasant. Terrys moving and storage and the people helped make it comfortable and without any delays or complaining. We contacted Terry Moving and Storage at the request of a friend of ours who made his interstate move a few years back. I have to tell you this was an INCREDIBLE experience. Having never moved more than locally and usually doing it with a U-Haul, I was not sure what to expect. We had estimates from three other companies and were go glad we chose Terry! From the gentleman coming to give the estimate to even FaceTiming the owner not knowing how to pack something, they were always on target and willing to help - We didn't even have to pack the TV;s, art work, clothes, bedding and mattresses, they did it all!! What a huge relief after packing our "stuff" for a month. Loved how they had a special box for all of the "put back together" pieces, screws for the beds, Apple TV and remotes etc. The team in Orange County was AMAZING!! If I could give them all 5 starts, I would!!! Loved them!! And oh, I was the client who was obsessed with them putting my car on the truck - OMG was that scary!! But as you can see in the post it did make it safe. I was a bit upset at them lifting up on the front end to have it clear the ramp but would rather have that than have it tear up the spoiler. I highly reccomend Terry Moving and Storage, especially for interstate moves!! I can't stress enough how well our move went! We were given short notice to vacate due to some unfortunate news on our landlords end, and needed a team to help us pack and move ASAP. They sent out someone the next day after contact, who did a physical walk through, and gave us an realistic scope of the cost and the job. We had already interviewed 3 other movers ( Atlas, Bekins, RL) and was about to go into contract with the first mover when my husband asked me to hold off. He had read in one of the FB chat groups we subscribe to (Leaving Cali for Texas) about Terry Moving and Storage , it was a good review. He asked me to call and just see if they can provide a quote for another comparison. I am so glad I listened to my husband to interview the last company. We met Mark and Jose. We liked them. Right then and there, we signed a contract with them. The original date that I booked with them was October 2021, I had to change to a later date, November 2021. When I called to change, Mark said, no problem, we will work with you. "We will make it work." Hearing these words was an affirmation that we are working with the right guy. Well, moving half across country is no small feat. It was really overwhelming ! But working with a reputable company with great owner and his great crews, made the move a bit easier. From the loading of the truck to the receiving in a storage facility in Texas, everyone we have worked with, was nice and super efficient. We have now moved into our new home in Texas and slowly unboxing stuff. A little bit apprehensive. We have packed a lot of breakable & delicate stuffs. And a couple of our furniture was big and heavy, an 8ft x 3-1/2ft. customized mirror that they crated and a one piece 9ft. custom buffet credenza with glass doors and then there's the 80" Curve TV. I did have a reason why I was a bit apprehensive about unboxing and uncrating our stuff.... so afraid of "potential" damages. But my fears were unfounded! I am very very happy to report... First of all when we called Terry Movers, a friendly voice came on the line. If you happen to speak with Marc, the owner, he is upbeat, honest and happy to serve. He asked a few questions and quoted a very fair rate based on my atypical requirements of pick up of office furniture with two drop off spots and anything left over would go to to his storage facility or to the dump. Well, on moving day he sent two large moving vans over which more than covered what we needed and six guys to help move things out fairly quickly. They did a great job and were very organized, neat and clean. Most appreciated. They were all pleasant and didn't waste any time. We were loaded and on our way and were able to drop off the entire contents of the move in two stops, therefore not needing to use his facility for storage. (Even though his rates seemed quite fair). The next day we returned to the office to clean up after the movers were gone and were surprised to find one very large, heavy piece of furniture that was marked to be taken to the dump or give to which ever one of the movers wished to take it home. We returned to the office to find that there was one large piece of furniture that had been marked to be gifted to any of the movers that wish to take the desk console home or to be taken to the dump. We had no place to put it . We thought that everything had been picked up and marked properly so that it would be on the truck. We called Marc and after a few questions he said "we will be out tomorrow to take care of it, and this one's on me!" There was no disagreement or argument.
