We just moved our first load of stuff in today. We were prepared to be here for 2-3 hours. But it seriously only took 20 minutes. Sooooo easy! There were plenty of carts available to use. Elevators were big and so were the hallways between storage units. We were skeptical about being on the second floor, but it was so easy. Never had to go to the office or anything. Our unit was waiting for us and a lock inside. Never used a storage unit before, but would 100% recommend Extra Space! read more

I have to say my first impression over the phone was not a good one, I was talking to a sales representative that started out nice but then ended bad, by hanging up on me! Just because I was asking a simple question, my advice would be to not call the 800 number but call the local storage if you have specific questions. Luckily I didn't let this bad experience stop me from moving forward. Wow! I've never seen such a pretty storage place. So organized, so easy to navigate from beginning to end. I was eventually able to talk to a customer service representative at the actual location and he helped me navigate to a storage unit that was ADA. I just needed it close to a ADA parking but to my surprise there is actually ADA storage units!? What!? This is AMAZING because a lot of business don't think about people with disabilities. Not only is it close to the parking spot, elevator, but it has a long rope in case I can't pull from the normal rope. Everything is so clean and gorgeous and the best part, climate control! Our last storage had cockroaches and crickets, I love all animals, but I prefer they stay away from my things haha It's super secure too, you need to input your code everywhere, which I totally appreciate, makes me feel super safe :) read more

!!! Do Not trust this place!!! We had our lock changed and items stolen. Who has the capacity to do that? Only person who saw what we had was the manager Marco that day. Current manager Ivan did some seen to care one bit about helping us. All he said was to submit a claim with their insurance. Claim submitted and denied . Denied because there was no forced entry. !!!! ISN'T THAT ALARMING THAT SOMEONE CAN GET IN YOUR UNIT, STEAL THINGS, AND CHANGE THE LOCK!!!What now who is going to take accountability for our things being stolen. Whole purpose of this company is to store people belongings!!! Honestly felt like an inside job. Saw another google review say the same thing happened to him 2 months ago. I want to compliment the manager Joe, at the 501 Wald location in Irvine, Ca. I reserved my units online. The following morning Joe reached out to me. I missed his initial call, so I sent him a message. It was on Saturday, which was a very busy day for a one man crew. However, Joe made a special effort to call me back, explained all the details of my rental, walked me through signing the documents online and helped me to understand entry onto the property using my gate code, being that I have more than one unit, and set everything up for me. !!!Stolen items!!!Changed lock!!! Defensive Manager!!My family and I had and upcoming camping trip so we visited our storage on a Tuesday night to start getting some of our camping stuff. To our surprise we could not open our lock. We came back Wednesday night with the spare keys and we still could not get into our unit. We have had a unit at this location from March to June and in June we switched to a smaller unit but used the same lock. We had never had trouble getting in so we thought that was weird. The manager that day (Marco Spataro) who assisted my husband was the only other person that knew what was in our unit. Very suspicious how our things went missing after switching to another unit. We had to drill the lock to be able to get into our unit and when we finally opened it we started noticing missing items. A bike, our camping tent, grill and bins that had all of our camping equipment all gone. The next day we went to speak to a manger (Ivan Marquez) for some assistance. No apology, no empathy at all. We were met we a defensive manager that did not seem to care and could not help us. We know we most likely won't get our things back but we did end up filing a police report. It was a horrible experience to come with our son to get our things ready for a camping trip to find out all of our stuff was stolen. We had to go to Walmart that same day to repurchase a tent and the main camping essentials. Be careful where you store your things and who sees the contents of your storage even if they are managers!!! Now we have to wait and see how the insurance claim process goes. One of my camping buddies and his family got robbed, probably by a representative and didn't do nothing. The store manager is rude and probably in it. THE INSURANCE IS A SCAM. BETTER GO AND GO TROUGH YOUR HOME INSURNACE OR RENTERS INSURANCE. The insurance company does not approve claim even if you have the police report , or a judge letter of the person that they caught steeling . They only care on how the thief's got in. My buddies claim was not approve because the thief's broke in and change the lock so it would look like no one broke in. But if there is not proof of lock damage or break in they won't cover it . Stupid as is sounds the insurance is a scam!!!! read more

I Rented out a unit at this location in March, everything was good no problems. I decided to downgrade in units in June at the same location the person that helped me was a manager from a different location he mentioned he was just there to help out. He helped into my new unit exposing my equipment and items i had stored. I went to check back for a camping trip on July 23rd and notice my key wasn't working so i went back the next day with spares key and the key wouldn't turn as well. I drilled my personal lock (it was replaced) upon opening i noticed there where specific items missing like if they already knew what i had. I went to the office with my wife and son and i asked for the manager as soon as i told him what had happened we got this very defensive attitude and all he said to me was to not drill in to the lock because i might damage his door. I advice you to double check where you rent your storage specially if there is employees part of it. I'm not pointing any fingers but what would you think it does not make sense. Remind you both manager are still working for the company so be careful take a picture of the items before you lock it up and make sure you get the names of the employees working there and the person who gave you the leasing agreement. I looked at my documents the manager didn't sign it and it didn't have any names on it. read more
