I love this store! Great selection of snowboarding/skiing gear, and some cool clothing as well. The sales folks are friendly and helpful, very down to earth and don't suffer from attitude problems. I live in Fremont and am very glad to have such a place in my neighborhood. I like that while their gear is quality and cool, and not especially cheap, their prices are fair, and they don't have ridiculously priced stuff like many comparable stores in Seattle ($100+ jeans, etc). They also have a little art gallery, where they display snowboarding-themed works. Apparently every now and then they have receptions with beer there. I need to go there one of these days! read more

I haven't actually visited the store, but I figured this was the best way to compliment this business as I had an outstanding experience shopping with them online. I placed two separate orders that put me over the $50 to receive free shipping. Since they were placed separately, however, I paid $9 shipping for each one. Normally, I hate paying for shipping, but evo carried my favorite pattern of a Burton bag that Burton had discontinued. A little bummed to have dropped $18 on shipping, I thought I'd call to see if they could combine my orders and waive the shipping. I got through the Customer Service wait queue very quickly, and hey were so helpful and nice on the phone!!!! The Customer Service rep was so personable and helped me combine the orders very quickly. Normally when we come into this store we can't find a single person willing to help. However we got super lucky last weekend when Ciara came over to help us pick out skis during their (amazing) spring break sale. She ended up helping me pick skis and bindings and helped my sister, my friend, and my boyfriend pick boots. She was super knowledgable and patient with us, staying with us until 20 minutes after they closed. My boyfriend has really unique feet and she ended up finding him the perfect pair of boots. My sisters boots hurt in one spot and she knew exactly what was wrong and clamped them for her. Can't say enough good things about her. I recently made my second purchase from EVO. I purchased a pair of Rossignol S7 skis one year ago at the "Ski Fever" sale. I was impressed with the sales staff's knowledge of the product-as well as the Rossignol rep who was on hand. Their advise for my deep snow ski was spot on. Best deep snow ski I've ever skied and with half the effort of my 4 year old Volkl Katanas. I made my second purchase recently. I purchased a pair of Atomic Hawx 120 ski boots. I was actually on my way to Sturdevants in Bellevue, but was in Fremont to pick up a new pair of glasses and thought I'd stop by and check out EVO'S prices and inventory. Wow, was I impressed. I was greeted by the staff within the first minute I walked in EVO. Upon walking upstairs to the ski boot section of the store, Tom, one of their several boot specialists, asked if he could help me. 1.5 hours later, I walked out with a pair of Atomic Hawx 120 ski boots-A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER. As For Price: I checked the internet prior to my purchase and could not beat EVO's price for my boots. Tom treated me like I was a professional skier. Tom took great care of measuring and examining my foot, ankle and calf and checking my balance point and appropriate stance angle. Tom then brought out 3 pairs of boots, ALL WHICH FIT MY FOOT-a difficult foot to fit. On the hill, my skiing has been transformed with my Atomic Hawx 120 boots. Even my older skis I'd put aside out of frustration, felt great. I'd always heard it said that "Your ski boots were your most important piece of equipment," and never understood. The ski boot fitting crew are really good. I had my boots fitted for the first time and can't believe how much of a difference it has made.

Best ski store experience I've ever had. There are a few occasions when you really want someone who knows their stuff, but can explain the process to you in simple english - a heart surgeon when you are facing death, an accountant when you're getting an IRS audit and boot fitter when you're going skiing. Nothing like taking your shoe off and having the guy immediately know by the shape of your foot which two or three brands are best for you. Getting a good boot fit takes time - lots of time and they'll spend over an hour with you, making sure you get exactly what you need and then more time customizing the boot to your precise foot. I'll never shop anywhere else for ski equipment. It's not a huge shop, so don't expect to show up on a Saturday morning powder day and get immediate service. read more

I recently visited this store to purchase my first set of snowboarding gear. I'm a beginner and know the bare bones of what I needed. I was asked if I needed help and I told him I was looking to buy my first board. He started helping me but passed me off to another employee when she became available because she was a more experienced snowboarder than he was. I was helped by Kayla and she was awesome! She took her time to educate me and a friend on what kind of boards, boots, and bindings we might be looking for based on our riding history. I ended up really liking a board she showed except they didn't have the proper length for me in-store. Kayla took the effort to look online to make sure it was available and on sale. I just want to thank her for her patience and knowledge and genuine passion she has for the sport. I ended up buying board she recommended and a pair of boots online and had them shipped to the Evo store. When I picked up the boots, I took them upstairs and asked another employee Lucius (sorry if I'm spelling it wrong, I only saw the name badge for a quick second) if he could help me make sure they were a proper fit. He was super helpful and patient and even recommended some socks he liked after I mentioned mine were kind of thin and weren't very warm. The staff here are great and knowledgable. I will definitely be coming back here for other snowboarding needs. Plus, they had their own parking lot so that was one less thing I had to worry about when needing to load up the gear I bought. read more

She was so happy with the fit, I ended up taking my other two daughters and Clancy also fitted them with new boots. All three keep saying they can't believe how good their new boots feel. Wow is all I can say about EVO . We've purchased a few skateboards from them. First time was a couple years ago right before Christmas and it got here 4 days before and when I opened it up there was a big long scratch on the bottom side , I think factory defect so I called customer service and they said they will make sure that We would have a new one B4 Christmas Day ! They delivered as promised and we had an extremely surprised and happy kid!!! Visited the store for a jacket and pair of pants for snowboarding after I couldn't find what I needed at REI at the time. Evo had a much better selection for snow sports than REI did and I was able to find what I needed quickly. Price was average. It was nice to see they are enforcing the COVID-19 regulations. Only complaint I had was that customer service was lacking compared to REI. Saw an older person standing around in the goggles section waiting for help for 10-15 minutes while a couple staff members were just standing around. I was also brushed off by a staff member when I asked if there were any fitting rooms available, but I found a different staff member who was able to help me. Maybe they were having an off day? Loved the social justice signs around the store. Knocking off a star for the subpar service, but everything else was good. read more

AWESOME Company!! I ordered a surf winter suit and when it arrived it was wrong. Wrong make. Wrong model. Wrong thickness. Wrong size. I was really bummed out because East Coast winter surfing is quite brutal with an improper fitting suit. I called EVO and their customer service was amazing!! Hannah immediately recognized the problem, emailed me a return label, shipped out the right one and even took $30 off the price and upgraded me to overnight air at no charge whatsoever. I just received the correct suit now. I highly doubt EVO made a penny on this order BUT they've absolutely won me over with their customer service. I don't understand why people give bad reviews. I went to Evo for the first time last week and bought a full snowboard setup ( bindings,boots, and board). Kayla hooked me up and offered different boot colored options that she offered to have shipped to the store as well as with my board. I took my bindings home since I bought them in store and noticed some hardware missing. Called the store the next morning and Patrick set aside the right stuff, no questions asked. Prices are very reasonable. If you don't think so, check online and they will price match (or at least they used to). Great selection of equipment and gear in the store, and more items online. They have a huge presence online (good sales sometimes), but are local. So if you buy online, you can go to the store if their are any issues. Placed an order online for ski gear with an expected arrival date of 11/5. Did not receive an email update of order being shipped so I contacted customer service today. Magically received an email a few hours later notifying my order had just shipped. Had I not reached out, I'm not sure they would have processed my order. Now the items are going to take even longer to arrive. This happened another time in the past and seems to be a common occurrence. Not sure I would buy from Evo again. I've only encountered evo online and I have to say, I've been REALLY impressed with the quality of customer service. I was trying to buy ski boots which is definitely difficult to do without trying it on, but their online chat system is super efficient and I was able to pick out the PERFECT pair of ski boots. I was ordering things around the holiday and they were always very easy going about making multiple price adjustments. I recently ordered a new pair of goggles here as well. I canceled the order but already pull money before shipping item! Evo gets that, which is why they host parties, movie nights, an art gallery, and all kinds other kewl shiz... not to mention having the best selection of ski/snowboard gear for those of us that make a lifestyle of it. A little bit disappointed with my experience here. I ordered an item online to be shipped to the store. When I got to the store to pick it up, the item was the incorrect color. It turns out the SKU was labeled incorrectly which caused the wrong color to be sent. This is completely understandable, I have worked in retail and know these kinds of things happen. The lady at will call called the warehouse and told me that they are checking to see if they still have the color I want available. She told me to expect a call from them or an email, and if I didn't receive a call, all I'd have to do is call and reference my order number and someone would be able to help me because my file was noted. I never received an initial call, but I did receive an email asking whether I want to go continue with the exchange or complete a return. This was frustrating because I was never told whether or not the item I originally ordered was available. I called and referenced the number and the person wasn't able to help me and told me to call back the next day when the original lady I spoke with was available. For the price of the items you sell and being a local company, I would expect better follow up for customers. We shouldn't have to track our orders down and follow up multiple times. A waste of my time. I can't say I will be buying clothes from evo anytime in the near future. read more
