First time ever shopping at a Patagonia store in-person, and this location is so spacious and has a great selection of outerwear! I usually shop for Patagonia online or at the REI Co-Op so I was looking forward to stopping by just to window shop. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and asked if there's anything we were looking for in particular. We were just interested in browsing, and I found customer service to be quite helpful once we were ready to try a couple jackets on. The fitting rooms are in the back of the store and well kept. Patagonia was running a few sales on past season wear and discounts ranged from 20-50% off. I scored a kid's Synchilla jacket, which I purchased for $43.99, and Patagonia offers repairs which is a great value add. Overall, great store if you love the brand and worth checking out! read more

Service was not existent. Staff seemed more interested in just chatting with each other and the cute young girls other than helping customers. I support Patagonia and often by online, but it just seemed like the prices were insanely high. I think I'll go back online and look for used items. Not much available in medium size. read more

Quality/Quantity - We are loyal to the brand. Overall a nice location, but maybe biased because we (of course) prefer our local store. Ambiance - Decent size location. Clean and organized. See pictures. Service - Good customer service. A team member overheard me talking and questioning a jacket. He rushed over to help and answered my questions. Price - Expensive, but that is the price for quality. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1973. And thank you for also giving 1% to not-for-profit workers "to defend the earth." And having programs that raise awareness of environmental and social issues. My favorite program is Worn Wear. You can either sell Patagonia your used clothes or trade them in so they can fix it. I believe that reusing is better than recycling. Furthermore, they give you credit ranging from $15 to $150. read more

I like this storefront location; I shop in-store frequently, as I want to try on the clothing. For me, the fit of Patagonia clothing is not consistent. The store has enough space to shop without feeling crammed in, and the store is always neat, clean and organized (even during their yearly sales and the holidays). The person who welcomes you in and the associates in the store shopping area are always kind and offer up information for any questions asked. My dog is also allowed in the store... My main issue every single time I shop in the store, there is a gentleman (and I use the term very, very loosely) who works at the cash wrap-he is always there, for the years I have been shopping there. He is a little shorter, with a stocky build and bald. Every time I come in there, regardless of whether I spend 30$ or 500$, he is unbelievably rude-curt, and unhelpful, and he always behaves like you are bothering him by shopping in the store. The last couple of times I have shopped, he literally chucks my items into a bag and shoves the bag over the counter. He is rather dismissive and just unkind. Every time I go into the store, I hope he is not there-but he's always there. It is disappointing that an experience that should be fun is ruined by one person-currently I shop in-store a little less, or if I really want to shop, I peek in the windows to see if he is there before I shop. read more

The service at this storefront is underwhelming. The older woman who assisted me at the counter was rude, condescending, and altogether unpleasant to deal with. Was unable to get much help with sizing and fit. For the price tier of this brand, service should be impeccable. I ultimately returned the jacket I bought there because the fit was not right.... Would have gladly exchanged for a different coat but was so put off my the experience that I did not purchase again. Super cool building that this Patagonia store is located in. I was greeted immediately by one of the sales representative and they helped me locate a Seattle Patagonia shirt. In addition, I was super excited that they have a Seattle patch and the cashier gave me some stickers. Patagonia is one of those few stores that still makes quality clothing and supports the sustainability mission. You can find a lot of outdoor and high-performance hiking clothes and bags here. In the cold season, this is the clothing of choice for a lot of Seattlites, as they have a lot of rainproof jackets. In the summer, they also sell lightweight and cool fabric clothing. Staff is always nice and helped me find sandals in a different size that weren't on the floor. Store is clean and well-presented. read more

What I really hope changes at this location is the lack of bathroom. I used to frequent Patagonia locations in NYC (Soho, UWS, and Brooklyn) and guess what, they all have bathrooms. Generally I find it more difficult to find restrooms in New York than in Seattle, but it was the opposite here. I understand that there may be more crackheads in downtown Seattle and there is a risk to offering the bathroom. But with enough security like having have to ask the staff to let you into the bathroom, that shouldn't be an issue. When I asked the staff if there are other options for restrooms, they suggested trying World Market or Pike Place Market. After I got shut down again by the snobby cashier at World Market, I was able to find a public restroom at Pike Market; but it was a long journey. I think I also feel strongly about this issue because I work at Brooks Trailhead in Fremont and we offer restrooms to our customers. It is sometimes tedious to take the customers through the backdoor and let them know the bathroom codes, but a lot of customers need it and I'm glad we can offer it. We had no issues with customers using the bathroom so far, so I don't see why Patagonia of all places to shop can't offer their restrooms. Otherwise, it's a good place to buy clothes. They definitely have more sizes and clothes available than other retailers like REI and they have multiple fitting rooms so that you don't have to wait much to try on any clothes. I didn't really expect to buy anything here, but after trying some pieces on for fun, I found a sports bra that I really liked so I decided to get it. read more

If you're looking for the womens Fleetwith line, they stock only the shorts, romper, and skirt -- the dress is not available in-store. Even though I couldn't get the dress, there were full size runs in similar items. Staff was helpful and friendly. Store was clean; fitting room was a good size. I learned very quickly this time last year the importance of the RIGHT coat and shoes to get through a PNW fall and winter. When my son was a baby it was extremely easy to bundle him up in his carrier to keep dry and warm; not so much now that he is a busy body toddler. My little guy is on the smaller side but moves around and is exploring just as much (if not more,) as his peers. With his smaller than most size finding a proper PNW jacket has been extremely tough; until today!! Patagonia has a wonderful children's section ranging in varying sizes, colors, and patterns. I really appreciate Nick, he provided excellent customer service. My little guy walked out with his 3 in 1 All Season jacket, knowing he is warm and dry while exploring means everything to me. It's almost like Patagonia sat down with parents, and inquired about all the wants we have to ensuring our little people are just as protected from the elements as adults are. Stopped by Patagonia over the weekend as they were having a 50% off clearance sale of their spring line. Patagonia is known for their environment friendly products. It is one of the companies that you can feel good about buying from because they take corporate responsibility seriously as well as contributing to many great environmental causes. The Seattle store is located a few blocks away from Pike Place Market on 1st Ave. The store is medium sized. It has a decent amount of product, but a good deal smaller than the Columbia Sportswear and REI shops nearby. They carry functional outdoor gear, workout clothes along with casual wear that you would expect to find at Gap or Banana Republic. Pricing on most things didn't seem to be too bad. The outerwear can get pretty pricey, but everything else is in line with the retailers I mention above. In fact, pretty reasonable if they are on sale. I didn't get any of the casual wear items. The polos and short sleeve shirts seemed to be a bit longer than I would like. Though I did pick up a capilene silkweight crew that is quite functional. It has sun protection, odor control and keeps you cool when you are active! They also have a couple programs that are different from other clothing retailers. I did see this store had a bin to recycle old Patagonia garments. Also, you can drop off Patagonia clothing that needs to be repaired here for processing. Both these things are pretty unheard of. I like the ethos of the Patagonia brand, which is why I would consider shopping here again. If there was a sale of course. I wish more companies would operate like Patagonia in which they consider corporate and environmental responsibility in the way they are run. read more

Came into the store today in search of a jacket. I interacted with 3-4 employees of the store who were friendly helpful in helping my find what I was looking for and checking the back for me. They were also knowledgable about which ones provided more warmth and water resistance. An item wasn't available in my size in store and they helped me search online and gave me space to decide if i wanted to wait. No pressure to buy or leave even though it we stayed a little past closing time. Great vibes and shopping experience. read more

Came in on a whim with a handful of items that I'd enjoyed for many, MANY hiking/ backpacking seasons. I had heard that Patagonia would fix items if they were able. My first time actually in this store and I was greeted promptly by staff. They were able to warranty/ repair all the items I brought in. I was super impressed with the warranty and no hassle experience. This is the reason I will continue to invest in Patty for all my adventuring. Side note: the store was clean, well organized and had many items in stock that I have likely missed at other retailers (REI). I noticed staff engaging with customers and taking ample time to discuss/ recommend products for different uses/ best use. Well worth the trip for me and I'll def be back, currently have my eyes on the R1 after this trip. Highly recommend visiting if/ when you're in the area or checking with them if there's a quality issue. They did not disappoint. Overall the experience exceeded my expectations. Dropped of a black hole backpack I've had for years, that needed a repair. They were quick to fill out the form, send it off for repair, and have it back to me in 3-4 weeks, free of charge. To date I've had good luck with Patagonia products and its brand. But less than 20 days after purchasing a $200 M Sweater, there's a tear in the sleeve and the same sales team that bragged about the durability of the product and Patagonia's "infinite guarantee" responded to the tear by quoting me $10 to repair (additional if I wanted it shipped to my home) and a week's time to have it returned to the store. Nearly 25 days later in the time of year where I need the jacket most, the jacket is still being patched and there's been zero communication from the store. If Patagonia corporate or the Seattle store manager wishes to contact me and make right on this issue by replacing the jacket then I'll gladly respond to this post and upgrade. If not, I'll chalk this up as lesson learned and purchase North Face products where they responded to a similar issue with a 3 year old jacket (not 20 day old jacket) with free repair, free shipping. Only open by appointment. We drove into downtown today to go shopping for an upcoming expedition. It was pouring. We paid $12 to park and got wet. The store was open with numerous employees standing around. We were informed you could only shop by appointment. The appointment at 3 did not show up and they weren't sure if the next appointment was coming either, but they still refused to allow us to enter. Apparently, they have a problem with people showing up for appointments. LOL, you don't say! Several other people were also turned away while we were there. They then tried to convince us that everyone was appointment only in Seattle. We left there and went to Outdoor Research where no appointment was needed and we were able to get fully stocked for our trip. I won't be buying any Patagonia ever again. If they can stay open in probably one of the most expensive districts in the country without a soul inside shopping then they don't need my business anyway and that's exactly how we were treated. Every once in a while, they have sales in the store and on the web that bring prices into competitive-with-lesser-brands territory. Wait for one of these sales. 2. They have a great web-only outlet. Go here any day, any time, and see if they have something you are looking for. 3. Make a friend with someone who has a pro-deal. Patagonia has some of the best in the biz. I love this store! Okay, I'm biased, I love Patagonia overall. Surprisingly, I've only started visiting this store in 2017. The store is clean, organized. The people that work here are friendly. They check in on you once in a while, but I find them on the quiet side of things. It can be hard to spot which one of them is an SA, since they don't have uniform or any other differentiators. I was helped by Matt and Thomas who were both extremely friendly and passionate about Patagonia. They had a sound knowledge of the products that were available in-store and were able to make a slew of recommendations that might meet my needs. I DO NOT recommend this store. The floor customer service here is terrible. Walked around for 10min looking for a particular product and not a single person asked if I needed help, yet I saw 4-5 employees just standing around talking amongst themselves. Anyway, I had to interrupt a conversation between two female employees and ask for one of them to help me--so ridiculous. This is super frustrating because people come to this store ready to spend hundreds of dollars and not only expect a quality product but good customer service (so much for that!). The management team @ this location needs to put their staff in check. I'll be sure to never return to this store and spend my money elsewhere. read more
