Service is always terrific and I like the fact that they have such a generous return policy in place if you're not satisfied with your purchase (for members on eligible items. it's within 1 year of purchase, even if gently used).

I'm both their flagship and SF stores the services has been great, attentive but not intrusive. If you're in Seattle you should definitely stop by and support a a longer term local merchant. Unfortunately there's not too many of them left. I'll keep going back 2/13/2026. I just received my repaired waxed canvas jacket back. I have worn this coat for at least 7 years and have had two repairs done on it. They do a fantastic job and I could not be happier. The jacket shows every scar from my abuse but I continue to wax it 1-2x per year and it keeps going. If they still made this coat I'd buy another, until then I'll keep getting it repaired. Their clothes are worth every penny. I continue to shop with them and and am glad to spend my money with a company that appreciates their customers.

Patagonia was running a few sales on past season wear and discounts ranged from 20-50% off. I scored a kid's Synchilla jacket, which I purchased for $43.99, and Patagonia offers repairs which is a great value add. Overall, great store if you love the brand and worth checking out!

After a number of emails back and forth, they were not able to send me the original mailing receipt which is required to file a claim with USPS, so it seems unlikely I'll get anything from the claim anyways. They even gave me a "tip" that I should look into getting a secure mailbox, as if that would prevent an empty box from being delivered in the first place. In the end, I spent $140 for a box with nothing more than tissue paper and promotional material. Oh, did I mention they generously offered to send me the products again if I pay 60% more than I already paid? Thanks, but definitely not going to throw more money in your direction only to lose it again. Update: Just to clarify, this is not a case of mailbox theft...I was physically delivered an empty box by the carrier. There is always risk involved with shipping, and as the shipper, it's your responsibility to ship in a way that reasonably reduces risk and puts shipping liability on the carrier. Since you put more than $100 of your product in a box that's only covered for up to $100, you put the risk on the customer. I can't possibly be refunded now. You also could have reduced risk within reason by not advertising on the outside of the box that there is jewelry inside.

I have seen the KAVU brand all around town but had never been to the actual store in Ballard. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable about the products and clothing. I found the patterns and designs on their clothes and gear to be interesting and wonderful. The quality feels sturdy and long lasting on all of their products. Why more people don't shop here baffles me. I have one kavu tshirt that I think is the comfiest one I own. I also swear by their wallets, they have the best organized wallets ever.
