The store was a little smaller than I expected, but they had lots of options and sizes for everything to try on. We spoke with Brian (I believe one of the store managers) the whole time and he was so knowledgeable on all the jacket offerings. After traveling downtown to look at winter gear Arc'teryx provides an unsafe and unsanitary shopping experience in a tight confined space where you must wade through human excrement. I only received good customer service when i was at the store buying 2 jackets last week. They were on 25% off sales items. However, one of the jacket I bought was ripped off in the bottom so I took the jacket back to the store the next day. The guy who I believed was the store manager tried to blame that it was my fault. He said that he would never sell the damage jacket and once I walked out off the store it was on me but here I am. He was rude and so unprofessional tried not to take any responsibility. I bought a pricy jacket that not even last for a day so I expected some kind of showing your responsibility and quality of your product. I told him that I didn't want to return but maybe exchange to a different item. The jacket I bought was the last one in the store so neither exchanging nor refunding was the option. Then he said he would give me a store credit with my original receipt so I had to go home and get my receipt. I went back to the store the same day with my receipt and dealt with the same guy. He said I could use my credit to any other items and paid for the differences. Wait!?! I asked him to give my credit via gift card because I didn't know what I wanted yet and I was running out of time. He refused to give me my store credit and allowed me to take my time to get what I really want at my convenient time. I kept insisting that I would like a gift card because I didn't know what to get at the moment and then he handed me the damage jacket back and said that you can either buy anything using your credit and pay for the differences or take this jacket with you and leave. I couldn't believed the way I got trapped and cheated when I bought sales items and turned out unexpectedly. I have bought 2 jackets in the past and I also spent these two jacket for over$550. They weren't cheap. I felt like I had no choice and I didn't want to go back to this shitty service again so I had to pick a new jacket and paid $104 on top of it. I'm not sure if this guy as the store manager understands how the store credit works? Why can't I get a store credit and come back next time? Your store aims to offer the best experience possible for all customers but my experiences I have received otherwise. He needs to at least know how to do good customer service not only for selling but also taking care issues after sale service. I would prefer spending my money at Nordstrom or elsewhere to avoid this rude and unprofessional customer service. Already a big fan of Arc'teryx, but this store validates my brand loyalty. Also, big thanks to Dennis for all the help. This store is located right in the heart of downtown Seattle's shopping area. It offers a wide spectrum of apparel and some gear mostly catering to active lifestyles. This Arc'teryx Brand Store has a decent inventory which means more selection of colors and size options. The layout and design of the store is very nice, clean, and organized. It makes for a positive shopping experience. This widely popular brand can be found at many other department stores. So why shop here specifically? Other than the aforementioned inventory size that would be larger than department stores, you have the opportunity to receive assistance from very knowledgeable and super helpful staff while you shop. My shopping experience was undoubtedly enhanced with the help of Dennis. He greeted me right as I walked in, and he later came over while I was browsing to offer assistance. Dennis walked me through my top picks and then showed me some other really good jackets that he recommended. He provided a lot of valuable information and insight about the products. Even with doing online research, I came nowhere close to what the staff knew about their products. I wasn't sure that I would be getting a jacket that same day, but I was able to make an informed decision on which was the right jacket for me. I left happy with my new Theta AR. I recommend that if you're in the market for an Arc'teryx or other active wear/gear that you strongly consider coming here. read more

Bought my sister a gift a while ago, I knew she needed a rain jacket on some of her trips she was taking, so I thought I would hook her up! Went into Arc'teryx a few times to check out what they had, and decided to get her the Beta AR Jacket,(Gore-Tex too) sales staff was helpful explaining all the functionality the jacket has, such as what each zipper is for, inside pockets, velcro adjustments etc. The quality seems to be pretty good and looks like it will last for a while. Pricing is very expensive, but it was worth it for the family! No complaints from her so far as its been a few months or so since the purchase. Its rainy season, maybe its time for me to get something but Ill probably have to eat ramen for a month to afford it. Anyways, a recommended place to check out. read more

I own many Arcteryx items and most of them have very good quality. However, the snow pants I got is not one of them. I did not worry much after elastic band falling off from one of the legs because of poor sealing after about wearing 5 times, as it does not affect me much. However, after about 10 times, the back of the pants completely broke, I cannot believe it happened to an arcteryx product! Now I cannot wear it anymore and the warranty department said it will takes 3-5 weeks to assess it to see if they will fix it for free! And they didnot even offer to pay for the shipping! I cannot believe this is so called life time warranty... read more

Came into the shop, didn't know when it was closing of course - due to COVID hours always changing. I walk in with a jacket in mind to buy and what looks like a manager (older) walks up to me and says something, it was hard to hear with a mask but all i heard was "6". I then ask him what he meant for clarification, he says, "in 2 minutes we close, so what's up?"... he said this in a very condescending/passive aggro'd tone. I then walk out. I don't know of many stores if at all that would basically passively approach a customer like that. If they wanted me to leave, they can ask politely. Mind you, it takes 2mins to browse their small store especially JUST the Men's section. Taking my business to REI, as i know they have better deals on this brand and don't have elitist staff! read more

I like many of your products Arc'teryx but I find your policy for dealing with warranty issues incredibly frustrating. When the material along the underarm vent on my jacket delaminated I figured no problem, I'm sure Arc'teryx will want to get this resolved quickly. Surprisingly no, you insist my only option is to send the jacket in to your warranty department to determine if it can be repaired, and I have to wait 4-6 weeks to find out. I pay a premium for products such as yours because I value quality, reliability and the peace of mind in knowing that you'll swiftly handle any problems in the unlikely event that your product fails. I've had consistently great performance from Arcteryx gear, and the very best treatment from their customer service organization. When my first Alpha SV jacket started to delaminate after years of use, they sent me a new one. When I sent in a pair of ripped Beta SL pants, they sent back an upgrade -- Alpha SL pants -- which worked splendidly, as the long wait had already forced me to buy a pair of Beta SL pants. Now I have the whole line :) I use the SL gear for backpacking and the SV gear for float trips in Alaska, where the rain is no joke. This gear works in those situations. read more

My husband and I were so excited to find this store in Seattle! We were walking around downtown enjoying some shopping that we normally have to do online since it's not available in our area of the world. So I heard about the Seattle freeze before visiting. Basically that everyone is aloof and unfriendly especially to tourists. Coming from Texas, I was bracing myself for the cultural differences. I also know that I. Outdoorsy specialty stores there is often an air of superiority from employees to customers that appear to not be as well versed in outdoor gear and activities All of those stereotypes went out the window when we visited this store. The staff as so friendly and helpful! They didn't hover around us and were genuinely interested in hearing about Texas when they found out we were from there. Beautiful store with great outdoor gear. I was looking at their Atom LT Hoody and was in love. It was really warm, but very lightweight. I wanted something a little longer (sat right at my waist), so I didn't get it. But it was so nice and pretty :) I might go back and get it anyway. Arc'teryx has opened a store in Seattle. This is awesome and dangerous. I have an outdoor gear fetish, but not a lot of money to spend on it. A few Saturday's ago, I was lucky enough to have some free time as I was walking in downtown Seattle and I saw the store. Having no intention to buy anything, I walked in to check it out. I was met with a small, but beautiful, store stuffed with all kinds of jackets, parkas, pants and things to keep you warm and dry when you're in the outdoors. It was my kind of a place. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They asked asked what outdoor activities I was involved in so that they could recommend the right gear and even pair it with competitors gear to make a great performance and value combinations. I'm considering buying some softshell pants for my snowshoeing activities and this store is on my short list of places to buy from. read more

We stumbled upon this place as we walked downtown Seattle. Nicely designed store with beautiful and pricey active, outdoor gear. The employee that helped me and my spouse was knowledgeable but a bit too pushy. He hovered around us more than I liked. I wish there was more inventory for women. We walked out empty-handed as we thought we could find cheaper alternatives with comparable quality. (Um, Eddie Bauer's from these parts, right? And REI, too?) read more

Between my wife and me, we own about a dozen Arc'teryx apparels and backpacks. We also own gear and outfits from other outdoor companies too. We are avid skiers and mountaineers. We ski 70 days a year and we ski year round. We spend every weekend skiing or climbing or both. I.E. we test their gear in the elements. Although most outdoor companies make decent products, few can match Arc'teryx's craftsmanship and attention to details. Whenever the weather isn't perfect and I'm in the mountains, I always pack my Arc'Teryx beta jacket, for the peace of mind. It had been on the summit of peaks in PNW countless times. After more than a decade of enduring elements, it finally started to show signs of wear and tear. The seams at the bottom of the jackets were starting to come undone, exposing the draw cord. It wasn't critical but I decided to get it fixed. So I contacted Arc'Teryx and they took it for an assessment. A couple of weeks later, they emailed me and told me that it was beyond repair and it was a manufacturing defect. And they sent me a replacement for free. Needless to say, I'm beyond thrilled. If you think their products are expensive, please take into consideration their excellent customer service and warranty. At least for me, this jacket didn't turn out to be expensive after all. I'm looking forward to another decade of adventures with it. read more

Very disappointed in the durability of the Zeta LT and customer service I experienced here this week. Both of which are surprising given this company's reputation for standing by the quality of their gear. I purchased this jacket after doing a great deal of research, including talking to Arc'teryx employees, however after two very low-activity wears found that the seam of one of the pockets had a hole in it. I do a lot of outdoors activity in the PNW, and I know that normal wear-and-tear happens, but a hole that results after wearing the jacket to walk around town for a couple of days is not normal wear-and-tear for a piece of gear at this price-point. What's more disappointing is that when I took the jacket into the Arc'teryx store in Seattle to find out about repairs/replacement the guy working the register made a point to say this isn't their most durable jacket, so holes aren't unexpected. I was also told that the damage wasn't covered under warranty, so I could pay $40 to get it repaired, otherwise there wasn't anything they can do. For a piece of gear that costs over $400 from a company that promotes itself as being a leader in outdoor apparel, I would expect more durability and better service, especially given that I'd purchased this jacket less than a week prior. read more

After doing some personal research, I decided to go inside this store and purchase three items, a logo t shirt, the Kyanite lightweight fleece and the Beta AR jacket to have a waterproof layer for the crappy WA weather we all enjoy here lol. While they had the Kyanite jacket in stock, the gal behind the counter, Madison went above and beyond to hunt down a Beta AR jacket in black and in XS that was in a store. There was one in their Portland, OR store, so she gave them a ring and then I paid over the phone and they had the item shipped to my house, which is in transit as I write this review. This store is a well oiled machine by far and while it's not the biggest store, it's got plenty to offer. The Kyanite fits under the Beta AR nicely which is why I got it in the first place. I'm not going to lie, it's not cheap, but you get what you pay for in many cases, and this is one of them. The no pressure sales and having a sense of humour made the experience a great one to enjoy. I hope to get more stuff from this store as time progresses. read more

This store is a pleasant discovery. Apparently, it is the only Arcteryx retail store in the US. Very helpful staff, small store but well stocked. We're glad we got to try on various styles of jackets and coats. Typically, our only option is to try on what REI has on stock which is limited. And so, knowing how their sizing fares against our body types gives us a better idea when ordering clothes online. We ended up getting some items from their 24 series - yay! read more
