This restaurant is on newbury street so can be difficult to find parking. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. The food is definitely overpriced. We ordered a burger and a side of grilled chicken with a small clam chowder... it came out to over $50 not including tip... the burger was also pretty dry.

Brunch Review Trendy spot with a lively crowd and upbeat vibe. Brunch dishes are flavorful and well-presented--the avocado toast and pancakes stand out. Drinks are strong, service friendly, and the space bright and stylish. Great for a weekend meet-up.

Legit best Caesar salad of all time. The apples and celery in it were a genius touch. I dream of this salad. Everything is always delicious here and I love to eat on the patio.

Tuna Tartare

In the heart of Newbury Street (Boston). This restaurant is perfectly located for walk-in customers that are exploring the shopping district. The restaurant offers fresh Mediterranean food with elevated indoor and outdoor seating. They have a refreshing cocktail menu perfect for brunch. Avocado toast was simple, but fulfilled the expectations for the price point. The chicken salad was delicious and fresh in a large portion size . Absolutely delicious healthy lunch. I especially liked the very fresh light tasting feta. The tuna tartare was shared amongst the table, a great starter appetizer for a group of three. Our waiter was social, funny, and attentive, which made it very easy to order, especially when we had a additional guest join the table. Overall, a positive experience and I would consider returning!

Came here for the first time and it was great! I went with 5 others for our friend's birthday brunch. Located right on Newbury with the stunning yellow and white striped umbrellas on the sidewalk, but we were seated inside which worked out perfectly for our group size and the fact that it was super hot out anyways. Definitely a solid breakfast menu, but I usually go for lunch items. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their breakfast meals but I got the Eva Burger with fries and it was delicious. The star of the show? The Chipotle aloli sauce they put on the burger. So so good. The fries were also just how I like them. Thin and slightly salty. Service was slow but that meant for a chill and relaxing morning celebrating our friend.

Came here for a work dinner and got seated upstairs which was nice and quiet. Our table had a weird debate on whether we liked the chairs or not, so perhaps you can also discuss this if you decide to dine here. We did not come to a resolution. As for the food, we got lots of appetizers including the calamari, trio dips, tuna crudo, and brussels sprouts --the sprouts were definitely my favorite but most of the apps were good. For my entree I got the fish, but it was very bland, even with all the herbs. For dessert I got the panna cotta which was huge and pretty good. Overall, food was decent minus the fish, but would I come back and pay with my own money? Probably not.

After a long morning walking from Cambridge to Backbay we found a pleasant spot on Newbury Street to enjoy the outside spring weather. We took advantage of a lunch special where we got soup, sandwich and a scoop of dessert. Service was attentive and friendly. It was a great spot to people watch and catch up with an old friend.

Really nice experience! The service and ambiance were really the stars of the show in our time at Eva. Our waitress could not have been sweeter and treated us better. She was extremely attentive and incredibly friendly and truly made our experience great. The ambiance sitting outside was wonderful as well. The front patio is gorgeous and the perfect spot for lunch. In terms of the food I had the caesar salad and to be honest it wasnt great. It was borderline flavorless despite the copious amounts of parmesan and sardines. I think it would have been much better if the base was a different green besides kale. The orange wine and Aperol Spritz were fantastic though! Overall would come back for lunch and try something different!

The cutest little outdoor area with umbrellas and tons of flowers. The food was pretty quick and the waitress was sweet. The hostess was also very bubbly and kind. My friend got the falafel burger and loved it. I got the chicken pita, which I didn't love. The atmosphere is so cute and the drinks are Taylor swift themed, so definitely going to go back and try something else on the menu! Super cute for a girls lunch, date, etc.

French onion soup

I don't like giving out 5 star ratings. I just don't. I think it limits my ability to award 4 star ratings; it means I have to review like 5 places that must get assigned into the 3-4.5 star range before I can put another in the unicorn bin. Dammit, (as paradoxical as this sounds) I don't like finding ridiculously good dishes or places...not during the meal, but when I comes time to write the Yelp review a day or two later. Because it means I want to go back. Like now. Usually once I've left that town. This is the Boston edition of that sentiment. So, some outliers and biases: it was my first time in Boston. It was snowing its ass off and it was nearly violently cold. It's was the holidays. I had literally just become engaged. The stars, quite simply, were aligned. For soup. French onion soup. On the garden level of Newbury Street the Scientist and I trundled down icy steps and into Eva for lunch service. It's a cozy downstairs bar set up on the garden level for lunch service. Warm, if not slightly bright, seating along the walls and a few low bar tables. Decent sized bar where the staff was waiting come the 2pm hour. Driven inside by snow and wind, we were part of a late Back Bay lunch rush. It's a trip, so I'm over ordering. She got soup to start. Ok. I'll be her Huckleberry and dance the soup dance. She went chowder. Meh. I went continental. Cheese, bread, beef broth in soup form. Why yes. Yes, please. This shit is depthy as Challenger Deep in the Pacific Ocean. Your taste buds think they're at the bottom, then BAM!, the salt reveals the cognac, and now the onions have a pungent sweet that wasn't there a second ago. Do that again, get a piece of bread that's been drowned in said soup, and it that but more. If they offered chairs with seatbelts, I would recommend sitting in one of them. The salad she got as a main was gargantuan. Lots of very fresh lettuce, and then- what am I talking about here? She loves salad. I don't. She said it was great. The fra diavolo pizza was exceptional as well. The shrimp were cut down and places on an extra thin and flexible base, with the Calabrian peppers doing the flambé act on my tastebuds. A touch of red sauce and not too much cheese let the feature ingredients highlight the taste. The crust had a solid bite and had some pull. An average texture-wise pie was knocked up by how good the topping presentation was. And usually, a single dish that isn't to the moon pulls you out of five star status consideration. So why not here? Three words: French onion soup. French onion soup, that is, to this moment in my culinary ramblings across most parts east of the Mississippi, the best I've ever had.

Located in the heart of newbury. Came here for dinner. We had reservations pretty late in the night but they were very gracious in moving them up for us. The attend also gave us her favorite spot at the place which was very sweet of her. The restaurant was very clean and aesthetic. For drinks, I got the white sangria and it was delicious. It had the right amount of sweetness with the tartness of the fruit. The spinach and artichoke was a classic. It was very creamy and went well with the soft pita bread. The falafel burger was one of my favorites. It was very savory and filling perfect for a vegetarian option. Would love to come back again.

Eva Burger Calamari Shirley Temples
Tracy C.

Eva on Newbury Street is definitely a cute spot. The interior is clean, bright, and nicely decorated with a calm, cozy feel. It feels like a nice escape from the busy street outside. The outdoor seating is more lively and has that classic Newbury Street energy, so it's nice that you can choose the vibe you're in the mood for. The service was really good. Our waitress was super sweet and very accommodating. My friend and I wanted to split a burger and fries, and she helped us do that without any problem. I also ordered a Shirley Temple which was $5--fun and nostalgic, and it tasted great. That said, I was honestly disappointed with the food. The burger and fries looked nice but were pretty bland. There wasn't much flavor or seasoning, and it just felt kind of plain. The calamari had a good texture and was cooked well, but again, it didn't have much taste. It felt like everything needed a little more attention when it came to seasoning or flavor. I really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere and service were so nice, but the food just didn't live up to it. It's a great place to sit, catch up with friends, and enjoy the area, but if you're going mainly for the food, there are probably better options nearby.

Spinach Artichoke Dip
Herv G.

Had the best time at Eva recently--an unforgettable experience made even better by George's warm and thoughtful hospitality. He didn't just serve us, he elevated the entire vibe and made a day worth celebrating feel next-level. The food? Out of this world. I ordered several dishes, and one was so good I forgot to even snap a pic--too busy savoring it! Their pizzas are an easy 10/10 (the shrimp one has the perfect kick of spice). But let's talk about the Tuna Tartare--hands down my favorite thing on the menu. I'd make the trip just for that. And don't sleep on the artichoke dip--rich, creamy, and addictive in the best way. Already planning my return. Highly recommend for anyone who loves flavor, great energy, and top-tier service.

I went for my graduation dinner, and they had a hand written card at the table waiting for me to wish me congratulations. To start, we had the focaccia bread to share and clam chowder, so delicious. Best clam chowder I've had, and it had whole clams in it. For mains, we had pasta bolognese, salmon, and the green apple chicken. The chicken was the juiciest I've ever had, the salmon was cooked to perfection, and the pasta was so flavorful. The presentation was great as well. Vanessa was our server, and she was so kind, helpful, and attentive. After seeing another table get the oysters, we asked the restaurant manger, Dan, what they ordered. After explaining it to us, I told him I never had oysters so he gave us the appetizer for free to try! Everyone who worked there was bubbly and warm, genuinely some of the best service I've ever experienced. Everything was a 10/10. Will definitely be coming back!

Yvonne's feels less like a restaurant and more like stepping into a production. On a Friday night…read moredate night, the place was absolutely buzzing, but somehow built to handle it. The scale of the room is genuinely impressive, leaning heavily into old-world glamour with dark velvet, chandeliers, gold accents, hidden rooms, and cocktails that feel theatrical. It's loud, energetic, and unapologetically designed for celebration nights. That said, the experience was not quite as intimate as I had hoped for. We were seated in the corner of the two-person table section, and I ended up sitting almost at the "head" of the area looking down the row of tables. It felt oddly exposed and very close to everyone around us. Instead of feeling tucked away on date night, it felt more like being inserted into the movement of the restaurant itself. The service reflected some of that energy too. The staff was clearly trying their best in a packed room, but the pace felt a little slow and chaotic at times. The food, however, was consistently excellent. The Duck Prosciutto was one of the most balanced dishes of the night. Every component stood out individually, from the manchego pimento cheese to the quince syrup and smoked almonds, yet somehow everything came together in what felt like a perfect symphony. The Seared King Trumpet Mushrooms were lighter and more restrained, but still hearty and satisfying. The Mediterranean Octopus was outstanding, easily up there with some of the best octopus dishes I've had around Boston. The Borek Spring Rolls were playful and delightful, with a shell so light and crisp that the dish never felt heavy. The Lazy Lobster Dumplings were dangerously good, rich with black truffle butter but balanced enough that I could have eaten endless plates of them. Even the Bavette Steak delivered exactly what it needed to, especially with the anchovy butter adding that deep savory punch I love. Yvonne's absolutely earns its reputation as one of Boston's premier dining scenes. It is expensive, but the atmosphere, execution, and location all make it feel intentional rather than inflated. Still, I left feeling like it shines brightest as a group-night or celebration restaurant rather than a truly intimate date spot. I would absolutely go back, but next time I'd want a table of four instead of two.

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus...)

Many folks simply make an assumption or a guesstimate, as to the price, when they see 'MP' on a menu, and this is usually based upon their prior experiences, ordering such a menu item. So, for example, I was thinking the lobster roll might be in the $40-45 range. So imagine my utter shock, when we received the bill, to see a charge for $69?? I have never in my life had such an expensive lobster roll. Yes, it was delicious, and the housemade potato chips were also great. The slaw was also good (though it was a very tiny amount...I would have liked more). But boy, did that price shock me. I would normally never have voluntarily ordered a $69 lobster roll. It simply never would have occurred to me, that a place would ever charge that much....
