    Caesar and burger
    Sophie L.

Came here without a reservation on a weekday and we were able to get in right away. We had the leek and spinach dip, burger and Caesar salad. Everything was solid and I would come back! I was a tiny bit let down by the burger though because I heard it was the best burger in Boston. I was good but didn't amaze me!

The menu is nothing super special. The Exotic Escape cocktail was very good and the smash burger had a generous helping of meat, although other than grilled onions and cheese didn't have anything else on it. The service team seem to have a good thing going on which is nice. They must still be working out kinks early on as the website isn't live and I had some issue with their waitlist. I put my name and number down (and confirmed this) as there was a 1 hour wait (they don't take reservations). More than 1 hour passed and we didn't hear back despite me checking my phone religiously so we walked back to check to which they said our spot was given up because we never responded to their text (which I never got). Fortunately there were seats by that time but we tried letting them know we definitely didn't receive a text and were just met with a "too bad" attitude / disbelief.

Went to Louis Corner in the South End for brunch and it was super cute inside, seriously such a pretty space. They don't take reservations so it's walk-in only, but luckily it seemed to be a slow Sunday for them and didn't have to wait! I ordered the lobster roll, which was good but definitely not the best I've had in the area. My friends got the avocado toast and smoked salmon Benedict and they liked theirs a lot. The cocktails were the real win though especially the Emerald Espresso. Overall, a solid brunch spot with great drinks and a gorgeous vibe. I love all the restaurants in this group (Ilona, Desnuda, Gigi) so it was nice to try out their new spot!

Charming new gastropub in the South End. Friendly service and tasty food with very reasonably-priced classics from roasted chicken to fish and chips and mac and cheese.

This is a cute spot, but I had a bit of a hectic experience landing a table! I wish they accepted reservations. Unfortunately when I tried to do walk in it was over two hour wait. So we hopped to desnuda and had a full experience there and came back but still no table ready for us. It ended up being about 2.5 hour wait all in all. The prices were very good and the ambiance was nice. But the food and drink was nothing to write home about. The long wait had me expecting something really incredible but it was just okay. If I had been able to book a res and walk right in this would have been a five star experience for me.

Great new Gastropub in the neighborhood with open windows and a retro decor. Brunch was relaxing and delicious. We had the fried oysters & the Rockefeller oysters (fried was better of course), shrimp grits & the kale salad with shrimp. The shrimps were huge and succulent. The drinks were top notch and the bar looks so inviting that we have to come back for more cocktails soon. Service was impeccable especially for a new restaurant. They know what they're doing.

Delicious brunch, yummy cocktails and super friendly staff. We sat at the bar for brunch and didn't want to leave!

We went for brunch, the food was phenomenal, cocktails were unique and delicious. We sat at the bar and the bartender was awesome, super friendly and fun staff! Cute ambiance with all the windows open, honestly we didn't want to leave! Would highly recommend Bloody Mary, espresso martini, crab benny and corn beef hash. Yum!

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus...)

The linguine was on the smaller side portion-wise, but it came loaded with mussels and shrimp. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce had a nice tangy, flavorful profile that really stood out. The Salsiccia pizza was good--plenty of toppings for its size and a well-balanced amount of cheese and sauce. What kept it from being great, if I'm being a bit hyper critical, was the crust. It leaned too doughy and lacked the crispness and airy texture you'd expect; the closest comparison I can think of is something like an Olive Garden breadstick. Service was okay--nothing particularly impressionable--but the ambience made up for it. The space felt warm, trendy, and like the perfect spot for a casual dinner. Overall, a solid spot with well-executed dishes, especially the pasta, and a pizza that's definitely enjoyable with just a small detail holding it back from the next level.

Cozy little spot with a pizza oven and an open kitchen (elite combo). Plenty of seating. I went for a weekday dinner and was served instantly. Started with the oyster bombs ($17 for 3) because oyster + tuna is a power couple. Fresh, creamy, perfectly seasoned with mayo and chives...gone in 30 seconds. My server convinced me to get the spicy clam, and it was devoured so fast. It was gone before he filled my water! Packed with clam meat, drowning in tomato sauce, and it actually had heat --not that "we waved a chili at it" kind of spicy. I fully intended to have some for the next day and then aggressively did not. Final verdict: cozy vibes, bold flavors, zero self-control, and I will absolutely be back.
