Worst baked goods I have ever had. The "frosting" in the white cupcake was literally like piped butter-not butter cream frosting like straight cold butter. The cupcake was so dense and had no flavor. We also got a lemon meringue pie. Nothing special. Did not use enough butter in the crumb crust (probably because it is all on top of the cupcakes) so it just fell apart. They charge me $20 for five cookies I didn't order. The cashier said I would receive my refund at the end of the day. It's been a week now and no refund I contacted them and they were very rude once again I emailed them everything they needed and still no refund. Once I told the cashier her mistake she was rude towards me over her mistake. Bakery items aren't that good as well very dry icing too sweet taste like sugar and water. I've had their bear claws. They have an almond paste in the center, on top a layer of sliced almonds, and dusted with powdered sugar. I am such a connoisseur of anything with almond paste. The thing I don't care for is the batter, it's too heavy/dense. And there is maybe just a tablespoon of almond paste, just enough to tease you. If I had to choose I'd go to La Bou Bakery for their almond croissant infused with a creamy almond paste center to get my almond paste fix also for half the price. I really enjoy going to this bakery! They always have the friendliest people working there, and I'm always greeted when I walk in the door. I love that type of attention. It really makes you feel like you've chosen the right place. The coffee flavor is great, I got a caramel mocha frappacino and it was yummy! My friend and I got to catch up with each other since she was in town visiting from Florida. The atmosphere was quiet enough for us to be able to have a regular conversation without repeating ourselves. Even though the restaurant was busy, it didn't feel like it, because they were prompt, nice, and made a delicious coffee. I have since been back a time or two, and still haven't been disappointed. Came in about a month ago with my sister. Their tables were all dirty (wehad to clean ours off before sitting), and seemed to be understaffed. It was our first time there so we were reading through everything to see what we wanted. The cashier seemed a bit annoyed that we were taking a little longer. I ended up ordering a caprese type sandwich, tea and we split the baklava. The tea was amazing! I love how they added their own yummy twist to the baklava, and my sandwich was fresh. Oh wow. This place is going to be trouble for my waist line! My family went in today to check out this new place in our neighborhood. I ordered a latte (Temple coffee sold here!!), we got the salted caramel cheesecake, carmelita, red velvet cake, macaroons, and some amazing Armenian pastry that I forget what it's called. Everything was amazing! My favorite was the Carmelita but everything was seriously so good. On top of great food, the customer service couldn't have been better. This bakery has opened recently in the Carmichael area and I was excited to try the first Armenian bakery I know of in the Sacramento area. First impression: very clean! The bakery was spotless with cute succulents on the tables with classical music playing. The bakery has a combination of traditional Armenian pastries/cake as well American and French desserts and cake. The lady at the counter was very nice and helpful in explaining what the Armenian desserts were to my mom and I. We got gata, baklava, samples of the honey cake. The honey cake was amazing! The gata was good but a little dry. Their baklava was an interesting variation of the classic dessert with thick pastry (rather than thin flakey phyllo) and meringue between the nuts and pastry. It was interesting to try, but I prefer traditional baklava. Their drip coffee was also very good. I would come back again to try the American desserts, which looked delicious. I love their menu options and pastry selection! All of the pastries looked incredible and the selection was unreal. It was hard to make a decision. I grabbed a loaded oatmeal and boy was it loaded. It was sweetened with honey and had raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and walnuts. I got a lavender latte and it was very flavorful and the lavender wasn't too sweet. My husband grabbed a California wrap and he enjoyed it highly. It was a healthy flavorful breakfast option filled with eggs, avocado and greens. We shared and slice of Napoleon. It was delicious and the pastry was crisp and the cream was light. My only con would be the customer service. The woman working seemed to be having a bad day and it was very known to the customers in the bakery. There was a bit of slamming of objects while making the orders and a " OH MY GOD" expression.
