First we sat down to a bowl of a hearty beet and vegetable soup called borscht, an unbelievably bright red color. Then we ate Armenian blinchiks, which are basically crepes stuffed with ground beef. My husband and I love Elite Bakery. All of their pastries are spectacular. In addition to our nearly weekly stop at this place, Jasmine prepared our wedding cake. She was incredibly communicative. The decorations, as you can see, are beautiful. She gave me options for decorations and cake style without overwhelming me. The cake also tasted amazing. I heard from multiple guests that it was the best cake they had ever eaten at a wedding. Finally, it was very reasonably priced, especially for the quality. I wear a n-95 mask to be extremely careful when going out in public because I care for an infant grandchild who is vulnerable to covid. Great bakery and service. The food was exceptional however the bathroom was disgusting. It tells much about personal attention to cleanliness although the establishment looked amazing. Greet or was extremely pleasant and food delicious; my experience with their bathroom left me feeling icky and wondering how the food was meticulously made...I hope the owners read this so they consider ensuring the bathroom is kept clean always. My brother brought me a cheesecake sampler for mother's day and omg.. so tasty. My sampler included Dulce de leche, strawberry, lemon blueberry and chocolate. I tried a bite of each and they were all delicious. But based on my bias and pallete the dolce de leche one was my fave!! The lemon blueberry was so light and refreshing. The strawberry was my daughters favorite and it was very comforting, everything u think of when u imagine an original new york stawberry cheesecake. The chocolate crust was very decedent and rich but not too overpowering, the cheesecake balanced well with the chocolate elements. Thank you so much. The owner/manager has to be among the rudest people I've ever encountered at any business, including minimum wage cashiers whom you might expect to be rude on occasion. I've been there 3 times, and each time was treated horribly. She was very put off by me asking what were a couple of the items with which I wasn't familiar (and only asked about a couple things--didn't bug her); on another occasion my wife and I asked about gluten-free products that they used to carry, and she took great umbrage to that. Today she didn't accept a coupon that was clearly valid, having the business's perfectly design logo on it. She told the couple in front of me today who simply asked if they can order something now and then pick up others later that "there are only two hands here". She is bitter at people who come into her shop. She absolutely refuses to hire help. My wife called about the coupon when I returned, and she hung the phone up on her. But meanwhile, she yuks it up with friends in the store while people wait in line. I hear the food is good here, but I can't envision ever walking back into this place. read more

My wife and I enjoyed our first trip to this new local bakery and cafe. We are excited that to see the mix of American and Armenian flavor options. Our breakfast sandwiches were very tasty and the coffee was good. We LOVED the California breakfast sandwich, so simple and delicious! The tomato and cucumber inside of the Armenian sandwich added a nice freshness to compliment the nice sausage and cheese wrapped inside of the lavash flatbread. I have been waiting patiently for this place to open for sometime now. Well, it's open and it is AMAZING!!! My coworkers and I have tried their macaroons, blueberry muffin, raspberry cheesecake, banana bundt cake, and a couple of other items. This is probably my favorite bakery cafe in Sacramento! I was there during the big opening and I loved their Armenian coffee and they use temple coffee roast. The open and light color atmosphere make it a really welcoming area to sit and get some work done since it's so close to American river and sac state.
