Went here for breakfast, it was well worth the 1hr wait. It is very small inside and sits no more than around 50 guests, not a problem though if you don't mind sitting close to others. Located right across the street from a beach you also have a nice view to look out on to. All the food we ordered was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. All of the staff was extremely kind and helpful, even the waiters who weren't assigned to our table. There is a take out window you can order from as well- but I liked being able to eat the food right as it came out. read more

Food was delicious! The waffle was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The fresh fruit and açaí was so refreshing and surprisingly didn't make the waffle soggy. Hubby loved every bit of his beef egg meal. Service was good as well. Server was friendly and food came out super fast. The 35 minute wait was well worth it! read more

What a great breakfast! As everyone says, be prepared to wait usually thirty minutes for a table. The restaurant is quite small, and has older diner vibes. Great photos going back nearly 100 years showing the transformation of Waikiki to what it used to look like before the many resorts and hotels. Food was excellent and the portions were large. Our family left full and happy! read more

Had some tasty food but the French toast seemed somehow overly sweet and it's always packed in there so it's hard to feel like you're able to relax and enjoy your meal. Most everyone liked their plate, service was a wee bit on the slow side and we asked for more water and containers. It as I mentioned, super packed and it wasn't because they were being lazy, it was just a lot of turn over and work to be done. It's located across from the beach and they keep the windows open for a nice breeze which was appreciated. read more

this place is ALWYAS packed and had a wait but worth it! if u don't want to wait, just walk up to the register and order to go. FYI, for a party of 2, we were told to wait for 1-1.5 hour. ordered the Hawaiian loco moco-the BEST i've tried thus far. also had the pork eggs benedict with the toro bun- very flavorful and satisfying! read more

Eggs 'n Things - Waikiki Beach Eggspress - waffle topped with whipped cream and pineapples - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

This was my wife and I's favorite breakfast spot during our entire O'ahu trip! It was so great we went twice Both times we were able to make a reservation on Yelp for 6:45am, and I believe you can either reserve day of or a day in advance, but I'm not sure if you can book for peak times in advance. Otherwise you have to join the waitlist and it can be a long wait around breakfast time. It's a pretty small space without anything too fancy on the menu, but you can't really go wrong with anything! I got the macadamia nut waffle both times, but the second time I added whipped cream (it's SO worth it!!). I also got coffee both times and I enjoy their brew. My wife got the rainbow fruit pancakes the first time and loved them but couldn't finish them so the next time we went she opted for a short stack of plain pancakes and we split a side of fruit. Truly delicious! And fast, kind service too. I would highly recommend this place! read more

This chain never disappoints. Solid breakfasts. Good service, and a decent value. Sometimes you might have to wait at various locations (not Ala Moana, which ends up being my go to), but never a cruddy meal or staff. read more

The 3 star was for the 2.5 hour wait when it was scheduled for 2 hours on the online reservation. Everything else 5 stars including the food which was delicious and the service. Not sure how the employees could still be friendly when everyone that walks in is HANGRY waiting hours to eat. It's probably best to order to go since they only have 10 small tables. read more

The website and menus say this place opens at 7, but we arrived just after 630 and it was already busy! We were seated within 20 minutes and had a very friendly server. The views here are awesome and we watched surfers out on dawn patrol. I had the crab cake bendict. It's a massive portion (complete with three pancakes on the side). It wasn't the best crab cake, but the Hollandaise was perfect. My husband had the açaí bowl. It was fresh and cold- perfect after a long walk this morning. Our toddler has the banana pancakes with a massive piling of whipped cream on top. All in all, a solid (and massive) breakfast for around $30 right across from the center of Waikiki beach. read more

What a cute dinner! First breakfast in HI! Came here after a night of drinking and the food & customer service went with the tequila in my belly just right. Busy place. Decent size but still had a quaint feeling to it like any other diner. It was just the two of us and we were starving so we accepted the offer to sit in bar style seating which was more comfortable than I thought it would be. There was also beautiful art on the wall in front of us so it gave me something to look at as we waited for our food. I ordered the Portuguese sausage scramble and he ordered an omelette. The food was amazing I wish I could've eaten it all. I love the large sized portions and if I had a microwave at the hotel I would've taken it back and had it later. The prices were not much considering how much food we got and how tasty the food was. I'd be happy to come back to this place & recommend it to others. read more

I really hate myself every time I come here. The wait is always ridiculously long. I mean LLLLOOOONNNNNGGGGG. And today, we went out of our way to wake up earlier. Arrived at 7:20 am, and it was still an hour and 20 mins wait. Momma always told me "stupid is and what stupid does" so we waited...patiently... Keep note of one thing as you're waiting...find an available spot to sit and don't leave. Wait like dumb@ss until your name is called. Remain diligent because the wait is PITA. Once you hear your (name) and your party of (x) finally called upon, you better respond quick because they won't give a $hit so hurry the F up! Get your @ss to the table. Smile nicely to your server because your server or runner will ask you kindly, "how's your day, so how long did you wait?" Set aside your demons and chuckle loudly because (thank goodness) the wait is all over. Yeah, keep laughing to yourself. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! A menu was given to me previously as we were waiting. You would think I would order right away once we were seated. Hell NO! I rather take my sweet time and wait for another menu be given at the table and then I'LL ORDER! I already knew what I was going order anyway...LOL! So, "what would you like to order, dear patron", asks our fellow server. "I'll have the ribeye and eggs, please" says me. Medium, onion flavored with mushrooms and potatoes and sunny-side up on my eggs, goddamn it! Food comes out in 10 mins. Wow! Looks delicious as I'm sipping my coffee examining my meat. Dumped the A1 sauce on the side of my steak and drenched my potatoes with Ketch-up. Ohhhhh yeahhhh....This was going to be good... After the first bite, I fell into a deep trench of calmness like diving into the ground of the ocean. My head was quiet. Very quiet. I couldn't be bothered. I forgot about being a dumb@ss waiting this long for just steak and eggs. Each bite left me happier. Weird. It was damn good. I lost track of time only to realize my plate was entirely cleaned. A runner asked me "do you want more coffee?" I looked at her as I peaked my way back from the ocean and said "no thank you." I got up and paid the bill. Left a 20% tip for the breakfast. Walked out and looked towards the Waikiki beach and the ocean. And smiled with a happily-stuffed stomach. No regrets. I hope whoever thoroughly reads my review killed some valuable time while waiting at Eggs N' Things (no, you don't have to feel like a dumb@ss for waiting). My questions to you are "what is the significance of time? And why do you value it so much?" Because in Hawaii, time works differently. It's like a race between the tortoise and the hare. One minute - it feels like it takes forever waiting at Eggs N' Thing and the other - you're packing your luggage as your trip in Hawaii reaches to its end. At the end of the day, the ocean still awaits. Mahalo for the existence of Eggs N' Things! read more

When we arrived we checked in on the tablet at the front. Apparently, you can do it through Yelp beforehand as well. We were seated (party of 2) less than the amount of time quoted. This location is VERY small. We sat at a bar along the wall of the restaurant. If you can avoid it, I recommend NOT sitting there. It's a very tight fit when full of people. It feels like you're sitting on one another and I'm not trying to get that intimate with strangers. If you don't mind that, good for you. The food came out fast and was good, large portions. I would have loved to be able to get some grits but I understand where we were. I'm from the south, I expect grits at every breakfast spot. Anyway, the food was good, the service was good. I would recommend you giving it a try. Enjoy! read more

Long wait is easily avoided by joining the waitlist early. Service is great, food was OK, and prices are reasonable.

Downloaded Yelp just to give this business the 5 star review they deserve. Customer service is so amazing I cried after we had to say goodbye to our waiter we had for the 5 days we came for breakfast. Probably just the pregnancy hormones but still amazing. The wait is pretty long but beyond worth it. My fiancé and I had a great schedule- he'd wake up, walk to the restaurant, put our names on the list, and by the time I was awake and dressed- our reservation was ready. Typically about a hour wait but we had no problem working around the schedule. Just came home to orlando this morning but the baby already has me craving eggs 'n things again. I suggest coming here around the time they open because it does get busy. They have QR code in front of the entrance to join the waitlist. My boyfriend and I waited about an hour as there were about 10 parties ahead of us. We killed time by checking out the stores nearby. We came back as the wait was dying down, the host was very nice and gave us menus as we were close to being seated. The service was very fast and food came out very quickly.
