    Pulled Pork and Chicken Tacos
    Darian G.

I'm going to be thinking about the chicken taco here for the rest of my life. Also, the Jetlag latte is a certified 10/10. Strolled in on a Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. after a beach day, the place was pretty empty but people were regularly strolling through for pick-up orders. The girl at the front register was so, so nice and explained her favorite items on the menu very excitedly. After I placed my order, she told me it was her first day. She did great! I ordered the Jetlag latte, which is an iced cold brew latte with Nutella and milk, and it is to-die for. It's sweet and full of that great Nutella flavor, and the coffee is smooth. A super satisfying drink. My partner ordered the Lilikoi Lemonade, which we didn't expect to be carbonated, but it was a nice surprise. The carbonation did make the drink taste slightly bitter, but the flavor is still good enough to drink. We also ordered the pulled pork taco, which came with guacamole and pineapple salsa. This one was good, but the taco got super cold very fast due to the cold glob of guacamole on top. The flavor was good. However, the chicken taco.. Oh my god, that taco. I'm from Vegas, so I have great tacos all of the time, but this taco put every other taco to shame. Top 3 taco of my entire life. The chicken taco came with a garlic cilantro sauce, and that was all it needed. Impeccable taco. I will be thinking about it for the rest of my life. Overall, a super cute and really solid place. I plan on coming back here a few more times during my trip to try more items.

My boyfriend was craving breakfast - he did want more of an American breakfast style but this was closest to us. It was pretty good! We both got the hangover burrito. I will say please use less potato - it overpowered everything. The cashier was a sweetheart! It's decorated like a Mexican restaurant w a cool burrito disco ball haha

Avocado sunrise. Best avo toast in Hawaii.

This is Munch N Brunch's first standalone location - previously, it was just a food truck. I'd never been to their truck cuz I've found the other food trucks in Waikiki to be kinda meh. I stopped in shortly after they first opened and am so happy I did. This location is across the street from my building which is awesome as a solid breakfast spot was badly needed in the Eaton Square area (ABC Store and McDonalds weren't cutting it lol). Munch n brunch is now one of my regular go-tos. I LOVE the Veggie Sunrise - the picture really doesn't do it justice as it's consistently awesome. When I asked if it was essentially avocado toast, one of their employees stated, "it's way better than that." They were right - the hummus, avocado, onion and egg go together perfectly. This is, by far, the best avocado toast I've had in Hawaii and probably in the top 3 of any avocado toast I've tried. Since it has more than just avocado, it's a good source of protein and a solid breakfast that gets me going. I also love their coffee - I strongly recommend the Jetlag and Mac nut latte. The former has Nutella in it, sweet but not overly so. The Mac nut coffee is great as well - again, just the right level of sweetness. My only complaint was I wish they offered a larger option, but that's how you know it's legit. Employees are amazing, super friendly and helpful, which I could never be that early in the AM. I also love that One of the employees (I think the owner?) drives a pink Jeep with some cool ducks on the dash, but you'd have to own a Jeep to appreciate that haha. They do get quite busy in the mornings, but it's worth the wait. You can also order through CashApp ahead of time which is handy - they have a rewards program as well. Open until 3 PM so great for a late breakfast.

Love, love, love! New location, but the same great quality and taste. The inside is so cute and fun. I still go to the food truck location often (close to my job), but I wanted to check out their new indoor location as well, which is also very close and perfect for lunch. They have an amazing Marshmallow Matcha... I highly recommend it! The pulled pork tacos are heavenly and packed with lots of flavor. I usually switch between the tacos and the bikini panini.

My fiance and I wanted to try a new breakfast spot and came across this place... it's small but it's MIGHTY! The employees were all so kind and very fast. The breakfast was soo good. I got the Waikīkī Beach sandwich sans tomato and my fiance got the hangover burrito and subbed the pork for beef brisket and we shared the chilli mango and the pina colada smoothies. This is definitely a must-go if you are in the Waikīkī beach area!

Food Cafe on a small street of apartments. Food was tasty, costly for morning snack. Self service : put in your order, get buzzer, pickup order when buzzer rings. No ambiance, just a stop to eat at table and run.

French toast with side bacon and eggs. Nice size serving . Icouldn't even finish it.

The food was great! The prices are really reasonable and the service was excellent. If you haven't tried this place yet, you really need to.

Hangover burrito, grilled banana bread( left) Lilikoi pancake(back) veggie Sunrise (right)

hummus is gonna be a new favorite for me. It was slightly sweet but still savory and anything on a sourdough bread is perfection. For the sweets we tried the Lilikoi pancake and grilled banana bread. Oh my goodness if you love the crumble they put on coffee cakes then you're gonna love the almond crumble in the Lilikoi pancake. It added such a nice textural contrast but still kept a local feel with the freshly cut pineapples and Lilikoi butter. Also while a grilled banana bread sounds simple, trust me this is not! Think Creme brûlée meats banana bread. It's warm and nutty but then has a nice caramelization where it's been grilled. I've had my fair share of grilled corn bread but never had a grilled banana bread. Delicious ! The owner amber is literally the nicest and sweetest lady . The staff are also super awesome too. Definitely worth the drive if you're not in the areas and most definitely worth making the stop if you are in the area! I will have to come back and try more stuff !!

This an absolute must try. Their food is amazing!!! Excellent breakfast. Plenty of seating if you want to stay and eat.

    The Hangover

We had The Hangover breakfast burrito and it was fantastic! A huge burrito with great flavors. Staff is so friendly and a great ambiance! A great addition to the neighborhood! Can't wait to work my way through the menu!

This might be one of the only places in Waikiki open at 4 AM which is perfect if you've just arrived the night before from the East Coast. The inside of the shop feels homey. They have a display case full of pastries along with additional baked goods set out nearby. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a coconut latte and then ordered a blueberry malasada while my father went with a custard-filled one. At Maleko, the malasadas are pre-made but not filled until you order which I think is a smart move. I first tried my blueberry malasada and thought it was good. The dough was light and fluffy and the filling had a great flavor. As for my coffee, I have to agree with other reviews that the syrup made it overly sweet. I still drank it, but I definitely would have preferred something less sweet. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again for the malasadas. As for the coffee, I would probably pass unless you prefer your drinks on the sweeter side.

It was less than three dollars including tax, so definitely affordable. The guava filling was great, but the donut itself was kind of bland. If it weren't so cheap, I would have given it three stars. A great high-protein, lower-carb way to start the day! The salad had a nice variety of colors, textures, and crunch from the pistachios and onions. It also came with a small cup of sweet and savory dressing that tied everything together beautifully. The smoked ahi spread was fresh, flavorful, and not overly fishy. It was served with a slice of freshly toasted garlic bread that was warm, fragrant, and perfectly crisp without being overly toasted. // Wailua Moana Açaí Bowl So refreshing! Easily one of the best açaí bowls we've had. The texture was thick and smooth with a great balance of fresh fruit, crunchy granola, and healthy fats from the nuts. Every bite was delicious. // Matcha We ordered both the regular matcha latte with coconut foam and the strawberry matcha latte. I was so disappointed they no longer offer the lilikoi matcha- I know that flavor combination would've been amazing! Hopefully they bring it back someday. The matcha itself was on the lighter side compared to richer ceremonial matchas, but it was still smooth, well-balanced, and not at all astringent. It paired really well with the oat milk, and both drinks were enjoyable. There was a line out the door during breakfast/brunch hours, which shows just how popular this place is. Despite the crowd, the service was friendly and efficient, and we were able to grab a small table to dine in. It's located on the upper level of the Royal Hawaiian Center, making it a convenient stop while shopping in Waikiki. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu (hoping the lilikoi matcha will make a comeback too)!

This is the only standing Kulu Kulu and I hope this place does not close, or if it does relocate, come closer to Central Oahu where the rent is cheaper, haha (hint). This location is on the outer edges of Waikiki on Hobron Lane in Eaton Square. I rarely venture to Waikiki, and if I do make the dreaded drive to "town", this place and Kan Sushi will be the only regular places where I will make my stop(s), because its so worth it. I've had a long-standing love-affair with Kulu Kulu from the Shirokiya Food Court location with it's waffle bears and Hello Kitty waffles, the takeout Nama Chocolate cups stocked at Mitsuwa Marketplace and now here, in town. The Ube Coconut Mousse $6.95 blew our minds, it was THE best tasting thing, ever. Both the ube and the coconut were not cloying, and as with all of their treats, not overly sweet either. That's why I love Japanese pastries, they get the sweetness just perfect and I have no idea how they mastermind that ratio! Strawberry Panna Cotta $5.95 was creamy, flavorful, delicious and surprisingly light and refreshing for such a creamy dessert. I normally don't get this kind of combination of flavors, and it tasted like something you'd get in a Michellin-rated establishment. Looking back at the photos, I see vanilla bean seeds in the panna cotta, so every loving detail and nuance shows through with each mouthful. Nama Chocolate $5.75 is my go-to chocolate LOVE. It's cut into cool creamy semi-sweet squares dusted with cocoa and it melts in your mouth! This is my favorite of all things that Kulu Kulu makes. I actually enjoy this better than the famous Royce Chocolates from Japan. We ordered another seasonal Strawberry dessert slice cake but it was eaten before I could review (and/or taste it); I've heard it was very very delicious. This place is so good that I plan to bring my friends who will be visiting from Virginia here to try their pastries. I also plan to support this business for as long as I can and make more frequent trips to town just to get these amazing desserts.
