We put our name on the wait list and was then contacted the time was pushed back so come at a later time. Then not 2 minutes later we get text to show up in five minutes 2 minutes later last call. I get to restaurant to let them know of conflicting times and was given a menu to know what we wanted as soon as we were seated. Terrible customer service. Did not feel welcome but pushed. Will not recommend and will not be back. I'll let you know how the food was. Food was good and you get a large amount but felt pushed to finish so they could have the table. Any responsible diner knows if the place is busy to leave so table can used again. Didn't need to be pushed out. read more

We waited about 45 minutes, but we were able to check in via Yelp before we arrived - smooth process! I highly suggest doing so. It's a small place, and if you're willing to wait, I suggest a window booth. The best part was the pancakes - macadamia nuts and coconut syrup). OMG... like delicious pillows of goodness. All else was decent - nothing super amazing, but good. Eggs benedict were a bit overcooked but still were yummy. Tip: Extra fry on the spam... always! And yes we had fries AND breakfast potatoes because as a fry/potato connoisseur one must always test all papas. Perfectly crisp! The host and our server were friendly and made great recommendations. We left with a pancake mix hoping to replicate the fluff... and it worked! read more

GET ON THE WAITLIST ON YELP ASAAAAAP. So we are visiting from California and I specifically woke up at 6 AM just to get ahead of the line for the Waikiki location and I still had to wait. Make sure you check yourself into the yelp app as soon as you get there. We got their Loco Moco and Eggs Benedict. Loco Moco was the best we had. Freshly squeezed guava juice. Staff is so friendly. The manager was great. Reasonably priced and such a great view of the ocean while you enjoy your meal. read more

Buyer beware. The problems that I experienced with this place are its clumsy waitlist system and the fact that the entrance is left largely unsupervised until a long line of potential customers shows up outside the building. Since the food reviews are generally good, I wondered why this breakfast chain was only getting 3.5 stars on Yelp. If you read through the reviews you'll see that most of the negative reviews are from people who had trouble simply getting through the door. I've now joined that club. On our first day in Waikiki, my husband said he wanted eggs for breakfast around 7am. He had some reservations about the place because the windows looked so dirty. There was a short line outside. A tablet at the entrance invited customers to sign up for the waitlist on Yelp. A twenty-something woman cut in front of me to sign up but interestingly enough she seemed to have difficulty with the tablet and struggled with signing in for about 10 minutes and refused to move aside so that others could try to sign on. Finally, my husband said the situation was ridiculous. Perhaps we might try again the next day. From the hotel, I checked the Yelp reviews for the restaurant and the address to make sure that I had the right one. It seemed that the waistlist system was allowing me to sign on ahead of time. So I scrolled to "Tomorrow, 6:30am." We showed up the next morning at about 6:15am. The eatery was already full and we were alone outside except for one woman waiting for a takeout order. The host didn't actually show up at the door for more than 10 minutes. By then there was a line winding around to the front of the eatery. He told me that I was not on his list. He said I must have mistakenly waitlisted with the other chain-- which is more than a mile away--because their system doesn't allow customers to sign up so far ahead of time. He put me at the end of their waitlist, which didn't seem fair. He told me there were now five groups of people ahead of me. With that, my husband blew up. He grabbed the plastic coated menus that the host had given me and shoved them back at him and told him, " I know when we're being blown off." The entire experience was pretty awful. We went to a locally owned business down the street instead. We got a perfectly good breakfast with minimal wait. I hope Eggs N Things can fix its broken waitlist system, get a staff member to take care of waiting customers at the door and clean those filthy windows. read more

Great breakfast with an ocean view. Yay for Yelp waitlist. Put our name down on the waitlist while in the hotel room got ready and then by the time we got to the restaurant our table was ready. I got the kuala pork benny, my husband got loco moco and we shared a waffle with a side of coconut syrup. The waffle was actually really price for 1 waffle ($16) but it was soo light and fluffy and the coconut syrup was delicious! read more

I used to eat here as a 20-something traveler to Oahu after a long night of partying on the strip. It has been a while so I wanted to see how much things have (or maybe haven't) changed. This place is opened from 7am - 2pm and the line for a table is consistent the entire time and every day so naturally -- I think people are curious and want to check the spot out. It's located right outside the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel and one will always find a line. Depending on the day of the week, one could get lucky and only wait for about 20 minutes to get seated. During my most recent visit, I ordered the Turkey Bacon and Eggs with potatoes as my choice of carbs. My brother ordered the Crab Cake Benedict with a side of pancakes, and we decided to order the Acai Fresh Fruit Waffle to share. Breakfast was average -- nothing exceptional to note. I think for $50+ for two people -- there are likely better or smarter options. The hype isn't there for me. read more

I'm really surprised the owner hasn't replied to this review. I own a business and would not let something like this go. Yelled at by host who accused us of taking someone's place on line (this after we ate). I have never done this in my life. Host was loud and threatening in front of whole restaurant. I think he missed someone in line who was mad and could t accept accountability. Can you imagine what it's line getting yelled at out of nowhere in front of everyone for some Thing you didn't even do. He would t even listen to us explain our proof of how it didn't happen It was bad. Anyway food is mid. We tried spam, moco loco waffles pancakes and fruit. So very mid, good location. Worst treatment I've even experienced anywhere. Really. read more

Something to add to my previous review about this place, when you get your bill there is a charge of 3% kitchen charge, which I have never heard of before and if you use a credit card there is a 3% credit card usage fee. For the prices they charge, one would think they would pay their staff good wages! read more

I visited for the first time today and can see why this place is so good. Some thoughts: They have tablet waitlist out front. You enter your name and cell# and they text you the wait time and when your table is ready. I got in fast as I chose to eat at the counter but it's not a traditional counter like you might expect. It faces a wall, and is the only reason I couldn't give this location 5 stars. But the Kona coffee they have was so good that I had a second cup, which I rarely do. I'd never had Loco Moco before and it lived up to my expectations. If you've never tried it, this is the place to do so. They have an air of efficiency here, kinda like at In & Out, which really helps reduce the wait times. The total cost for my Loco Moco and coffee was $25, including tip. This is about average for breakfast in Waikiki. read more

Definitely recommend making reservations. We walked right in Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. This location was very close to our hotel, but very intimate setting (limited seating). It was very hard to decide on what to order. I really wanted to try their Mochi Waffle topped with diced pineapples and pineapple whip cream, but also wanted to try their Hawaiian Loco Moco, made with Portuguese sausage mushrooms and onions - so got both! Definitely give this spot a try! read more

The location was great! The food was Delicious, pancakes were Big and fluffy! Cost efficient as well!

We heard some fellow tourists raving about this place, so we decided to stop in. What first struck me was the open, airy feel the place. I loved the ocean breeze flowing through the dining area despite us being inside. I have decided to make a study of Loco Moco during my time in Hawaii, so I ordered the "Hawaiian Loco Moco" here. It wasn't my favorite Loco Moco, but that doesn't mean it won't be yours. I liked the Portuguese sausage that was dispersed through the gravy, and I'm always a fan of mushrooms. I just could have done with more gravy and more liquid yolk in the over easy eggs. My gf ordered the fresh whipped pineapple pancakes. They were light and pillowy, and the pineapple was a welcome accompaniment without being really sweet. I especially liked the chopped macadamia nuts on top of the mountain of whipled cream. The coconut syrup that accompanies the dish should be used with caution, as it is very sweet. This was an excellent finisher after Loco Moco (I could finish my dish but my gf could not finish hers). Overall, I recommend this place. It was tasty and worth the wait (and there was a wait). read more

Horrible Service and Rude Manager Ruined My Morning, November 27, 2024! This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had as a customer. Staying at Aston Waikiki Circle, I decided to try the popular Egg'n'Things downstairs. I arrived at 7:03 am, with no line--just one couple and myself. The manager, Aaron, told us to sign into the waitlist, which I did immediately. Here's where things went downhill. The couple who arrived with me got seated within a minute, but my name didn't show up in the system. And again I re-entered TWO TIMES!! all my information--full name, phone number, agreeing to SMS notifications--yet my name still wasn't appearing. I even took photos for proof. Even though I was the first person there, Aaron started seating other people who arrived after me. He blatantly ignored me and acted as if I wasn't even there. I tried to explain the situation, but his attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive. It was humiliating to stand there while others were seated right in front of me, despite having arrived earlier. I understand that as a solo diner, I might be seated at the counter, but Aaron's behavior was completely unprofessional. He didn't care to help, didn't apologize, and seemed to take pleasure in making me feel invisible. This man has no sense of hospitality and clearly has no business being in a customer-facing role. My morning was ruined by Aaron's horrible attitude and lack of basic decency. Avoid this place at all costs--no breakfast is worth being treated this way! read more
