Unfortunately we waited over an hour before being seated expecting a broke the mouth kind of breakfast sadly my Portuguese sausage & egg plate was no wow factor and my husbands kalbi & egg plate came out with a scrambled egg rather then the sunny side up that was ordered. For my husband and I this is a place we won't be coming back to but maybe the pancakes could wow you guys I mean there pancakes looked really tasty. Let me no your thoughts read more

Ordered online from the comfort of my hotel room bed and waited 35 minutes for my order to be completed. This Eggs N Things location is tiny so there's a super long wait for table. Who has time to wait around on vacation?? Not me!! Ate my bacon and eggs from the comfort of my balcony. No complaints. Good location, especially if you're too lazy to wander too far on the Waikiki strip or if you don't have a car. read more

I stopped in to have breakfast this morning. Put my name on the waiting list and then went upstairs when called. I asked for a seat on the balcony at a small 2-seater table. The girl behind the counter said, "No, I'm saving that for a party of 3 and will be adding a third chair ." Instead of being seated at this small 2-seater table, she insisted I had to sit inside and a much LARGER table. Mind you, I was a table for one! If you know this restaurant, you know how small the tables are on the balcony! I looked at her with such disbelief and said, "I don't think so ~ I'll go elsewhere." She didn't seem to be bothered by that at all! I am so blown away with my visit to Oahu this time. It seems they've completely lost the aloha spirit if you are traveling alone. Sigh. read more

Get non the wait list online, and there is usually about an hour wait...even if you are #40 in line. Once you check-in and get seated, they come to the table and ask if you are ready. Hopefully you have already decided, since there are plenty of menu's outside. The food gets there so fast! (Like 5-10 minutes) The eggs are orange, like good organic pasture raised eggs, and the pancakes are fluffy and flavorful. The bacon was decent, and the potatoes are crispy as well. Sorry, no hash browns. You have a view of the water and the windows are wide open to let the breeze through. read more

I think eggs n things is a must go for brunch & breakfast. It's pretty popular based on their location but there food is great for breakfasts and brunches. We all got savory choices and split the rainbow pancakes and I think that was the best decision for us to do. There coffee and other drinks are wonderful as well. I Would definitely come here if you're looking for a good environment and meal to share with friends and family. read more

Wait times are long, make sure you reserve through Yelp if you plan on going ! Food 4/5: Solid breakfast food restaurant Strawberry & Nutella Mochi Waffle 7/10: Nutella a bit overpowering and the waffle could be crispier but it was still yummy. Signature Whipped Pancake 8/10: Not too sweet. The whipped cream was super yummy as well. Crab cakes Eggs Benedict 8/10: I've tried a lot of crab cakes benedicts and this one is one of the top ones I've tried! Salmon Eggs Benedict 7/10: I think it was good but smoked salmon I think is just too strong for my taste. All the portions are very large so if you're a smaller frame, I would recommend sharing. Ambiance 4.5/5: Views out to the ocean, seeing all the waves, the sound of people chatting about the smallest things. It was nice, family friendly :). read more

3.5 STARS I looked for a place on Yelp that was within walking distance of our hotel. Sometimes a 3-star restaurant could be good, so we took a risk. The wait was 30 minutes, but the ABC store was next door, so it was no problem. We didn't mind the wait although, it took a long time for a hostess to come to the front. Why did I give this place 3.5 stars??? The Kalua Pig Benedict is the reason for the round-up. It was unique from the other benedicts I've had. The meat was somewhat salty but tender, the poached egg was perfectly gooey when broken, and the taro bun was unique. The sauce made it even more appetizing. It also came with three fluffy pancakes. It was weird how the pancakes were fluffy but were dry when I chewed it up. Anyway, this meal was big enough for my man and me to share. One of the girls ordered Portuguese Eggs & Sausage, and the other Chicken Tender and Fries. I wish the portions of the eggs and sausage were much bigger and there were fewer potatoes. It wasn't my dish, but if it were, that would be my complaint. The sausage was tasty, though! The chicken was a tad dry, and the french fries would be better if crispier. Again, it wasn't my meal. The side of fruit was a great addition. Both girls enjoyed their dishes, so I'm happy about that! We were all full, and it was a good start to our day! read more

The best thing about my experience was the people who work here and the amazing view. The food was just...bad. And while I expected it to be mediocre because of the rating it had on Yelp, it was even worse than the ratings gave it credit for. I can do mediocre, and still be happy because I just like food. Eggs n Things! Wait on a Saturday, 30 minutes at 0730 a.m. People who came after us had wait times of 1 hour. Nice that they hand you the menu to look at while you wait. Our order was immediately taken after we sat down, and the server was super nice, patient and expressed how sorry he was for the wait. Eggs 'n Things - Waikiki Beach Eggspress is a hidden gem that truly lives up to its name. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the wait would be worth it. Nestled right across the street from the picturesque Waikiki Beach, this charming eatery combines mouthwatering food with a warm dose of Hawaiian hospitality. The first thing that strikes you about Eggs 'n Things is the relaxed atmosphere. With a view of the beach just a stone's throw away, you can't help but feel the island's laid-back vibes. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple seeking a romantic breakfast, or a family in need of sustenance after a morning by the waves, this spot caters to all. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the food. Eggs 'n Things takes breakfast and brunch to a whole new level. Their extensive menu offers something for everyone. From classic pancakes and omelets to island-inspired dishes, there's an array of flavors to explore. During my visit, I indulged in their famous macadamia nut pancakes, and they were nothing short of heavenly. Fluffy, golden, and generously adorned with macadamia nuts, these pancakes were a taste of paradise. But what truly sets Eggs 'n Things apart is the quality of their ingredients. Fresh, local produce shines through in every dish, making each bite a delightful experience. The portions are generous, so you're sure to leave with a satisfied appetite. What's even more impressive is their customer service. The staff here genuinely make you feel welcome and valued. Despite the restaurant's popularity, they manage to maintain a friendly and efficient service that adds to the overall dining experience. The waitstaff is attentive, ready with recommendations, and quick to address any special dietary needs. As for the wait, don't be discouraged by the line that might form outside. It's a testament to the restaurant's popularity and the fact that locals and tourists alike recognize it as a go-to spot for a delicious meal. Plus, the scenic view of the beach while you wait makes the time fly by. In summary, Eggs 'n Things - Waikiki Beach Eggspress is a culinary gem nestled by the beach that's definitely worth the wait. With delectable food, friendly service, and a view that's nothing short of spectacular, it's a must-visit spot for anyone exploring Waikiki. Make sure to bring your appetite, and you'll leave with a belly full of delight and memories of a truly Hawaiian breakfast experience. read more

TLDR: Solid breakfast spot in Waikiki. 10-minute wait at 7am on a weekday. Friendly, attentive service. Fresh ingredients, but some dishes could use more filling. Loco Moco was hearty. Slightly pricey. Overall, a pleasant experience. If you're in Waikiki and craving a solid breakfast, Eggs 'n Things is definitely a place to check out. I swung by around 7 a.m. on a weekday and only had to wait about 10 minutes--pretty reasonable considering the morning rush! The Service One of the highlights of my visit was the service. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home. They were super friendly and attentive, which really added to the overall vibe. It's clear they genuinely care about their customers, and that warmth made our meal even more enjoyable. The Food I went for the Loco Moco, and let me tell you, it was hearty and totally hit the spot--perfect if you're feeling extra hungry. The fresh ingredients really stood out and made the dish shine. My family opted for omelets served with pancakes. While they were tasty, I think the omelets could have used a bit more filling to justify the price. Portion sizes were a bit of a mixed bag: the Loco Moco was more than enough to fill me up, while my family found themselves wishing for a little extra with their omelets, even with the pancakes on the side. The Price Eggs 'n Things is on the pricier side for breakfast, but honestly, the quality of the ingredients, the attentive service, and the cozy atmosphere make it worth it. It's a bit of a splurge, but when you factor in the friendly staff and the overall experience, it feels justified. Final Thoughts If you find yourself in Waikiki and want a satisfying breakfast with a nice touch of Hawaiian hospitality, Eggs 'n Things is a solid pick. Just remember to get there early, expect a short wait, and come hungry. It might be a little on the expensive side, but the enjoyable experience makes it all worthwhile! read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Eggs and Things in Waikiki, and let me tell you, it was egg-cellent! From the moment I called, Giselle was as sweet as maple syrup on pancakes. She even gave me a tip to put my name on Yelp's list before arriving. Talk about cracking the code to a smooth dining experience! The manager, Ryan, was like a breakfast superhero. I swear, I saw him hustling around the restaurant, taking care of tables and making sure everyone was happy. He must have a secret power to spread joy and butter on toast because he truly is an awesome leader. Our server, Keith, deserves a special shoutout for his patience and kindness. I was so indecisive about which French toast I wanted (I mean, who can blame me?), but Keith was there, guiding me through the sweet and savory choices like a breakfast guru. He deserves a medal for dealing with my breakfast-related dilemmas. The best part? Despite the place being super busy with the breakfast rush, we never felt rushed out. The service was on point, and our food came out quicker than you can say "sunny-side up." We ordered the Sweet Bread French Toast with Strawberries. Eggs, Sausage and Fried Rice with side bacon, as well as Waffles with fruits and acai. Let me tell you, our taste buds were doing a happy dance. Overall, Eggs and Things delivered an egg-ceptional experience. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was egg-cellent. It's no wonder this place is so popular! So if you're looking for a cracking good time in Waikiki, Eggs and Things is the place to be. Just make sure to bring your appetite and your sense of humor, because they serve up smiles with every disho. read more

Traveling to Honolulu for business and tried to find a breakfast place close to our hotel in Waikiki that wasn't super pricey and was within walking distance. Found it in Eggs 'n Things! We managed to walk to the line when it was short...we later found out that was because they were about to close down for the afternoon before reopening for dinner...oooops! But apparently we just made the cut-off. It is an odd way to order...order at the stand, go in and pay, then get seated and the food is brought out. I'm sure it's to cut down on the dine & dash crowd. I ordered the combo with bacon and eggs along with a "clover" of pineapple macadamia nut pancakes. Oh my heavens...salty and sweet nirvana. The bacon was crisp, but not burnt, the eggs over medium as requested. Nothing fancy, but well executed. The pancakes were dessert! Good lord if you put syrup on these things, you are braver than I am. 3 pancakes with pineapple inside with a gigantic cone of whipped cream in the middle sprinkled with chopped macadamia nuts. I ALMOST couldn't finish it all, but powered through. A meal like this fills you up for quite a while, and dinner was definitely light and much, much later. Thank you Yelp for leading me through this place. Yes, maybe a bit touristy and diner-esque with efficient service and not the most modern decor, but the food was definitely on point. And with the windows open and the beach right across the street...heaven...just mind the birds that will sometimes fly in from the open windows! read more

Absolutely the worst experience ever! We have eaten here few times as we live in Kauai and hop to Oahu as our daughter goes to college there. We checked in with 3 of us for breakfast. we had just sat down and our daughter who lives there wanted to join last min. I asked the hostess if we could move to a larger table as our daughter was coming - she told us yes, proceeded to clean the table off, moved us over- then the server came back and said that our daughter could not join us, she couldn't sit at the table , she needed to go join the waitlist and wait to be seated. I explained that we asked the hostess and she moved us no problem, so 3 of us at 4 seat table, daughter wasn't allowed to come into the restaurant and sit nor could she order food, but the 3 of us could sit at a 4 person table and eat the chair had to stay empty. It just didn't make any sense, we added 1 to our group, they cleaned the table and moved us then told us No- the manager wouldn't allow it either. They were quite miserable to deal with, rude about it and logistically didn't make any sense. So, don't frequent the Waikiki location - chose another location with friendlier staff or better yet choose another local restaurant all together to give them your business- as ours wasn't appreciated nor did they really care. read more

During our stay in Waikiki, my wife and I decided to kick off our day with a hearty breakfast at Eggs 'n Things, and we're glad we did! While there was a bit of a wait, we highly recommend using Yelp to join the queue and save time. Once we were seated, we dove into the island-inspired menu. I opted for the Signature Rainbow pancakes, which were as delicious as they were photogenic, and my wife enjoyed the satisfying Breakfast Meat n Eggs. To complement our meals, we indulged in refreshing Guava and Pineapple juices that perfectly captured the flavors of Hawaii. The service was decent, and the view from our table added to the overall experience. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, we found that the quality and taste made it worth it for a special vacation treat. If you're in Waikiki, we definitely recommend trying out Eggs 'n Things at least once for a taste of local flavors and a satisfying breakfast experience. Aloha! read more

Tourist trap! I have eaten here many years back, and this breakfast joint was better. Who knows why it changed, but the real surprise comes from the added line charges you are not aware of. There are two. You are being nickeled with a kitchen service, and then you're charged to pay for using a credit card. WTF? A kitchen charge? Pay your employees more, and raise your prices. The tourist will pay. A charge to pay by credit card? Raise your prices if you're that cheap of a business owner. The tourist will pay it. Let's talk about the food. The menu holds many options. Mainly grease dishes or carbs loaded with sugar. The ahi was nice, but this joint's idea of spicy anything is bland nothing. I let the water know, and he tried his best The other member of my party had the loco. Heavy rich that was enjoyed. The coffee is weak, and we didn't want second cup. Happy breakfast food hunting! read more

The second time, the food was also good but here's where our problem came in: our appetizer of chicken wings (delicious! we had them both nights!) was no sooner put down on our small table when out came our entrees. There wasn't really room for all of the dishes and I had to do some creative stacking. Now we had the choice of either eating our hot appetizers (and who wants to eat cold chicken wings?) or letting our entrees get cold while we ate the wings. Speaking to our server about our displeasure really gave us no satisfaction. She basically shrugged that that sometimes happens. We had specifically asked for the wings to come our as our appetizers. She told us that Japanese diners like to share their plates so they are used to bringing everything out at once. I have to say, I understood what she was saying but she did not have any empathy with our frustration at having to eat cold food. So here's my tip: go to Goofy's. The food is really really good. But if you order an appetizer, make it very clear to your server that you want that to come our well before your mains. Also, to Goofy's: a little empathy can go a long way to defuse a perceived slight by a customer.

The edamame hummus was enjoyable with the chips and veggies on the side.
