The initial waiting system seems a bit confusing/unnecessary considering how long we waited when the restaurant wasn't overly busy (wait in line to order, then wait to pay, then you can wait to be seated). We did however enjoy the food! Pancakes were delicious and value for money here is fantastic. The views from the windows are great and there is an extensive menu of decently priced food. Overall really enjoyed our breakfast and would come here again! read more

The food here is great! There is a bit of a wait but totally worth it. Get there early to avoid the crowds.

Me and my friends walked by this place every morning to see if there was a wait for 4 days. Usually there was quite a long line but we found a day where we got sat down immediately. The food and portions were amazing here one being the strawberry pancakes and the other being the spinach, bacon, and cheese omelet. The service was great and it was an overall great experience. If your ever walking down the street or are willing to wait, it's well worth it. read more

The staff are horrible & rude!! Except the cashier who was so attentive & helpful..."Gordon" the host was completely RUDE & pushy..he argued with my 9 yr old grandson about the difference between sausage & link sausage!!! Really a 9 yr old???? The server dropped a plate on my grandson took 20 minutes to have the bac & eggs re-fired!! Absolutely no-sense of urgency with this incident at all!!!! The bac-pot-cheese omelette was really good!! Loved the seasoned potatoes!! Owners/Management if you choose to retain Gordon, put him in the BOH!!!! First impressions can make you or break you!!! read more

Delicious, coffee was on point, had to wait awhile, but it was worth it. Omelette was delicious, but the hot sauce wasn't hot.

Solid good food. Not at all fancy. These people are organized. The lines are long, but they move fast. Get in line, look over the menu, order, pay your money, and grab a spot to sit. Food will be up soon. If you are active and need fuel to keep you going (kite boarding, surfing, hiking, scuba diving).. This place will do the trick. Eggs, and more eggs, pork chops, pancakes, French toast, and the like. Fair prices and good sized portions. Family friendly. And construction worker appetite friendly. read more

Possibly the worst service ever. Ordered the loco moco with over medium eggs- they came hard. My husband ordered the 'huge' chicken fried steak and it was terrible, served with potatoes that were hard and old tasting. First- you order outside, and pay before you are seated, all before seeing the place. Then, when they mess up, they take forever to fix it and don't offer to give you your money back or the difference. He ended up getting pancakes that weren't anywhere near the $17 that the chicken fried steak cost. Also- they serve your meals on paper plates with plastic ware. A friend got a waffle and it tasted like a dirty sponge. We made it know that it was bad food and service, all while getting terrible looks but no help or attempt to make it better. Another note about the order and service process- all of the food was cold. I'm wondering how this happens when you don't sit down until after you order and pay and the kitchen is right there but it's still cold food. Ridiculous. So then we take the pancakes to go and he asks if one fork was fine, we all said yes, and then they didn't give him plastic ware. What a joke. Save your time and money. This place is terrible. Our bill was over $30 and I am still pissed that I spent that. What a disastrous meal. Never again. read more

The food is worth the wait. The loco moco was great and I was stuffed after finishing it.

Everyone said we needed to try this, and let me tell you they did not disappoint. Great service. Authentic food. Huge portions. Most of the time there is a wait but it is Definitely worth the wait! Waitstaff was super friendly and very attentive. Can't wait to visit again next time we are in Oahu. read more

It's just OK. Points for presentation, but the food is average and the wait is quite insane for simple breakfast items. The coffee was motel-level, the service pretty much non-existent because the staff is so busy just getting people in/out of the restaurant. Also, it's not cheap. I'm not saying that one should avoid it, just that it probably shouldn't be a recommendation. From reading the other reviews, if you want real service try the Saratoga location instead. I would say that the food was quite underwhelming. After seeing the long line and positive atmosphere around the establishment I went in expecting solid diner style food with a Hawaiian twist. Unfortunately I was greeted with greasy food that was prepared incorrectly from the way I had ordered it along with several strands of hair (which was not mine) in my food. The biggest positive from this spot would be the view from the booths. A great view of Waikiki is right outside the window. I would come here to experience a historical diner, however I would not expect anything special from their food. read more

The first time I had Eggs 'n Things was in Japan and I absolutely love their pancakes. They never fail to impress me! We just had to wait and hour to get seated but customer service is amazing and they served our food quick! read more

This place has good breakfast food. It was right next to our hotel so incredibly convenient. The food was delish and because of that, we ate there two days in a row! :) The pancakes are amazing - soft and fluffy and the guava and coconut syrups are so yummy! I had the corn beef omelette with country-style potatoes and pancakes. Sooooo good. My son had the turkey bacon, eggs and pancake meal and ... I forgot what I husband ate. Ha! The ordering system was a little odd, but it builds character! You stand in line to order your food BEFORE you enter the restaurant. Then you pay and go to another, much shorter, line and you are then seated. I did like that by the time you're seated, you're only waiting a few minutes to get your food because the order was already placed. So I guess the odd ordering system actually means less time occupying table space when you're food isn't ready, which is probably a smart business idea. I loved that the restaurant was across the street from the beach. You can eat and have a gorgeous view. Lastly, the service was great! Everyone that worked there was incredibly friendly and kind. That was one of the main reasons we came back a second day! :) PS: The only reason I dropped one star is because how long it took to stand in line to order our food. We were staaaaaaaaaaaaarving and that line was very, very long. read more

If you stay near this place, it's a must try!! I love this place the food is delicious especially their banana pancakes! If youre staying at the Aston hotel you get a 10% discount. People are super nice and besides the wait, everything was awesome. 5 stars!!!! read more

We loved this place. The food was excellent. We ordered an omelet, waffle with blueberries, French toast with various toppings, and the pancakes that are like malasadas. All delicious. Only negative was the long wait. Go early. read more

Great breakfast. Get there early to beat the line. No portion control, omelette is more like 5 eggs than three, lots of potatoes and really should just stick to the pancakes---they are awesome! Coconut syrup and guava syrup are delicious! Great place for breakfast anytime of day. read more

Of course it's over priced--you're in Hawaii if you forgot! Yes it was weird we were served on paper plates and ate with plastic forks, but everyone was so nice and the line went quick when we arrived at 7am, I didn't mind at all I keep telling myself I'm in Hawaii. read more

Passing by this place there was a London line so we thought this must be the place to eat. Unfortunately you have to wait in a long line outside if the door under the sun to just order. Then you have to wait in another line to sit. I didn't mind because I was extremely hungry. I ordered the vegetarian omelette and didn't want mushrooms. I was told I couldn't substitute anything in place of the mushrooms and was kind of bugged about it. We sat facing the wall because that was all that was available. The service was good and my water was consistently replenished. The food was decent. I've had a better omelette before. The pancakes were just ok but the coconut syrup was amazing. I have this place 3 stars because it was just ok. Nothing blew my mind about it and I'm sure this beautiful island has many more places to offer. read more

The best loco loco and strawberry Belgian waffles! Sooo tasty and fresh! Definitely would keep coming here!

Went for breakfast, it was really good! I had the eggs, bacon, and the potatoes and the 3 sampler pancakes (pineapple, macadamia nut, and coconut pancakes) all was good! The only thing is you have to wait outside in a long line, order and pay outside then get seated. After you get seated they just bring your food and they don't move plates, or ask how are we doing which is something I didn't really like. Food was great though! read more

This was definitely worth the wait!! We were not disappointed with the food or the service! Would recommend to anyone for a great meal!! Thank you to eggs and things for a fantastic start to our day!! read more

WORST BREAKFAST EVER!!!!!! Does not even deserve 1 star- Had to wait in line over an hour just to get a table! We asked for glasses of ice water and the guy reluctantly brought us 2 small Dixie cups of room temp water! When the food finally came it was delivered on paper plates with a tiny plastic fork! We both ordered the special omelet, my sister's came over cooked and a bit rubbery, mine was totally raw inside- I had to send it back!!! My sister's pancakes could have been made by a 3 year old- nothing special. At $13.00 a plate, you just have certain expectations- this place met none. Just horrible, flushing money down the drain, what a disappointment ! read more

The wait is long for inside seating but they have fast to go orders and you can find multiple places to eat your to go order on the Waikiki strip. The food was so good and had so much flavor. My husband didn't even eat his pancakes with syrup...he just ate it with the whipped cream. They were that good! I would recommended the spam fried rice with scrambled eggs. The best scrambled eggs I've tried from a restaurant. This was our favorite place we ate when we went to Oahu. read more

Average rating is about right. Great views from the windows, but very warm. The chicken burger would have been great with a real grilled chicken breast instead of a pressed and formed chicken patty. We also had the Hawaiian Loco Moco, good flavors but WAY over cooked beef patty! read more

I was hesitant to try since there were mixed reviews but really enjoyed eating here. There was a long line to get in for breakfast but it moves pretty quick. Waited around 20 minutes in total but the food doesn't take long to get to your table since you order at the host stand. The wait staff inside were very nice and continued to check in on us and refill our drinks. The food was delicious too- I recommend the banana macadamia nut pancakes! read more

I was on a waiting list for two hours. I had a loco mocco. They gave me the wrong rice. The gravy tasted horrible. My wife had corn beef hash. The meat was out of a can and burnt. Our eggs were undercooked. We asked for water and the server had his hands all over the brim of the cup. So I did not drink the water. Worst food I have in Hawaii. Do not waste your time waiting on their waiting list. The locals around the corner have much better food. read more

Went for breakfast. You have to order and pay at the door. I don't like that. The food wasn't great. No one spoke to us after we sat down.

We passed by the location multiple times there was always a line. We decided to give a chance at our last day and realized that there is always a line because you order at the door before you enter and you also pay at the door. Food was little pricey but delicious. I enjoyed trying three different syrup, maple, coconut and some fruit. Coffee tasted okay. Might worth trying. read more

I knew the line was going to be long for breakfast and so I was patient. The line did go fast and be ready to order and pay before you get seated. Had the macadamia pancakes. It was huge so be ready to share. It's not bad. Not as good as boots n kimos but it'll do. Service was not that bad either. Rated it a 3 as their food was just average. read more

Nice Hawaii breakfast! Very economy but need long waiting! I like their Hawaii sausage and fruit plate!

Great breakfast after a long wait... great service and try the coconut syrup with the pancakes!!!!!

The food was absolutely fabulous! We will definitely be revisiting the spot before we leave Honolulu. I got the eggs Benedict with stuffed crab... It was amazing! My wife got an omelette suited to her needs just the way she likes it :-). The two things that were kind of annoying was the long line outside but that's understandable because of the quality of the food. Secondly the service was a little slow and you can tell they wanted you to eat and get out so they can get more people in. But other than that it was a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommend it to everyone! read more

We ordered..... Sour cream with Strawberry crepes - Odd. The bf found it ok. Pineapple pancakes with whip cream and nuts - so good so good so good! So we headed here after snorkeling at Hanauma Bay. We got lucky. Had friends stand in line and order for us. Which was great because I hear it can be a pretty long wait. Right on Waikiki strip near every other ABC Store that didn't need to be there. But you can't miss their bright yellow sign. Tried a bite of the crabcake benedict. Eh, it was aaiiite. I've had better here in Cali. So glad we didn't order this. They had no problem sitting our group of 6 down so maybe they're getting better at what they're doing? I don't know. I'm not a local. Pancake broke the mouth - a little. read more

Super crowded. They take your order as you walk up the stairs, all while the statue of the Duke stares at your butt. You order and file on the right hand side for a line up for your seat. I had my standard Hawaiian Moco, small OJ and a bottle of Vita Coco for about $20. The hotel next door and the world famous beach across the street makes this otherwise middle of the road restaurant very busy. I still like the food though. read more

We had a great experience here. If you come here, expect to wait... so you better not be in a rush to go anywhere. We had dinner here on our last night in Hawaii at sundown. It was nice to watch the sunset from your table against the open window. The food we had was pretty good: * EXCELLENT Coconut syrup (couldn't get enough of it) * Potato + cheese + bacon omelet * Eggs Benedict The calamari sticks you can do without - they were okay. They have an interesting place for bike parking outside (I think they are all standing up.) Staff is friendly, they are just leisurely in service. Remember, they are on Hawaiian time too! read more
