    Peach cobbler and tiramisu

I have been here for many years. The foods are always spot on! Most dishes the flavor, profile, and texture are to perfection. The beef stroganoff is very salty. Maybe it is just me! The tiramisu is on the denser side. But the crab claws is a must have! The service is usually very fast and attentive! Kevin is great! The place can be very loud and the do have outdoor sitting.

Massive bummer. Came back for our engagement celebration and the garden room had a whole table full of people, loud people. I'd advise against reserving there if you're noise sensitive like me. Inside is better and they had a guitarist playing ambient music. I asked the waitress if she can do anything about it, which of course it's fine if they can't. It's just the attitude of the waitress upset me when she told me "I can't do anything about people's volume" smiling at the same time. Not even "I'm sorry about the noise." Just rubbed me the wrong way. Or at least could i be seated inside because it wasn't busy that day and I didn't see any reservation signs either. Idk it was just miserable for me, won't choose that room ever again. Need acoustic panels or something. Also the food. I got the beef tenderloin; which was small. I don't care about the meat quality of a tenderloin. You can make it tastes as great as a ribeye with proper cooking techniques. Having it be almost $50 with potatoes and brussel sprouts makes me really ponder why the meat is marketed that expensive. I may give it another go in the far future. Sit inside, see what's new on the menu. I've had their seafood pasta for Valentine's Day and I still think about it. I even had my college graduation here. I'm giving it two stars because I don't have the heart to give it a 1 star from my past experiences. I know my triggers are my responsibility but I didn't account that a party of 12 could possibly be seated there.

Another delicious evening, but this time with a guitar player on the back patio. Excellent!!!

Pan roasted chicken...the chicken was cooked perfectly. I was lost on the tomatoes as they add nothing to the dish. Gravy was excellent.

The menu isn't vast, but they have an excellent wine selection and all day happy hour on Tuesdays. A quality selection that makes most envy. The ambience was relaxed and upscale, but surprisingly busy and louder than expected, but not offensively so retracting. Service was excellent. Reservations are advised and there is a very of seating options.

Ecco has one of my favorite meals ever - their beef stroganoff is soooo delicious with beef and mushrooms for every bite. The back patio area is super cute as well - perfect for a date night.

So happy we live nearby this delicious spot! We finally made it over to ECCO on a Friday night. We were greeted and offered a table on the patio even though we didn't have a reservation. It was just about sundown and it was a lovely spot to sit and watch the dusk settle in. Our waitress was very nice and well-informed about the menu. I also loved that gluten free options were labeled already. I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir and my husband and gin & tonic. They were both great. We had the brussel sprouts for a starter and they were the perfect blend of sweet and savory with a little bit of crisp to them. I had the Honey Roasted Carrots as an entree and I did not leave a bit of it on my plate. The title of the dish may not sounds like much but the carrots, honey, pesto, and hummus combine together to create a delectable dish! My husband had a pasta dish and when it came out, he realized he should have gotten the half size. It was massive and he loved it! We boxed up half and he finished it off the next day. I can't wait to come back soon!

This place is always busy, if you can make a reservation, do it! We got to sit at the bar and the service was awesome. A little loud off a place I would say, but not a big deal for me. I got the mushroom pasta and it was delicious, and a great list of wine by the glass. I will be back to try more of the menu.

Ecco is a great local spot for contemporary fine dining. It gives hipster vibes. Very midtown. The cocktails are some of the best in town. Their mushroom pasta is always incredible. Service is great. I'll admit, I've had some undercooked lamb and some unset panna cotta here. Overall though it was always a great experience so I'll definitely be back.

Honest and detailed review. I've been to Ecco four times (including today) total since 2021. It's been a 50% success ratio on flavor and service. Whether they were understaffed OR the food was just bland needing flavor (salt). The two times that Ecco was good, it was really great! Today was a complete fail and I think will be my last time going to Ecco. I came in for the Hawaiian Ribeye that was advertised on their IG. It looked immaculate, I was blown away. I come in to order it, waiter told me there may only be one left. She found out it was and it was mine. So the ribeye comes out with the butter on top. Looks GOOD. I saved room and didn't eat lunch with the expectation of being blown away. I ignored the fact that the ribeye was somewhat flat. Cut into it and it is RAW. I always eat medium rare, it's the only way to eat a steak! This was RAW. The Brussel sprouts were the best thing on the plate! Actually really good. The potatoes were devoid of flavor, I couldn't even taste the parm. No salt at all. The ribeye was a pretty rubbish cut. I can go to Sam's and purchase a thick, fat ribeye for $36 dollars or a Wagyu Strip from Kroger for $30. $42 for a cut that I probably could get at Chili's. I don't ask for comps on meals. The server was great, I tipped her 25% for being so kind. I ate the food they brought back out reheated just because I was hungry. It sucks that management didn't even come out to apologize for this awful blip. I think some Memphis restaurants are comfortable because they've been here for a while. The people who come to eat food are looking for quality eats. I'm not asking for Michelin star, I've had plenty of that. Just give us the quality food AND service we know that Memphis food can provide.

First walking in, it looked a little tightly packed BUT, it was just fine. It's a hidden gem near the park. Now my friend group and I had multiple dishes that we all enjoyed but I would recommend having a reservation. Along with the great service, the ambiance is a low lit, earthy atmosphere that pairs with a heavy whiskey and wine selection that gives an upscale vibe. Date night? Yes. Solo night? Yes. Coming with friends? Yes. Come. Our server was Shari was great and very attentive. Ask for her! I had quite the pleasant experience.

Not great, but not bad either. Really appreciated the Salad Lyonnaise which isn't common on menus (reminded us of our time in Lyon)... The worst part of our meal was the service. Slow, unpredictable, unfriendly, inconsistent... The second worst was the ambiance. That little outhouse we ate in was dirty. Flies everywhere... Memphis restaurants... lemme tell you. But we did have some really good food here. I mentioned the salad. The stroganoff was tasty. Excellent bucatini and a really good mushroom pasta. They botched a risotto which is about as easy to make as any Italian dish (how do you even botch that). Overall, we wouldn't go back. But this place is popular so they don't need our patronage...

The bar itself is intimate with about 8 seats, so get there early if you want one. From the outside, the place looks like a literal house, but once you step inside it's a whole vibe: low lighting, great music, and nonstop food and drinks flowing. The bartenders were amazing--friendly, attentive, and clearly know what they're doing. We ordered wings, fries, Brussels sprouts, and spring rolls, plus a spicy margarita and French 75s. Every single thing hit. The food came out quick, fresh, and piping hot, and the drinks were perfectly balanced. By the time we left around 7 PM, the place was completely packed. This spot fills up fast for a reason. Can't wait to come back and work our way through more of the menu. Highly recommend--this is a must-visit.

Swamp Bar has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. The vibe is great, there…read moreis plenty of seating, and the inside DJ keeps the energy going. One suggestion: the front patio could really benefit from some music. Even a low-volume speaker tied into the DJ's system would help create the same experience outside without disturbing the neighborhood. The biggest challenge is parking. Street parking is risky, and several visitors have learned the hard way that tickets are easy to get. Save yourself the headache and use the parking garage across the street for about $4. It's worth it compared to a $25 parking ticket. Unfortunately, service was the weakest part of the experience. The staff appeared overworked, overwhelmed, and likely short-staffed. While that is understandable, the customer experience suffered. There was very little interaction from greeters, servers, or bartenders. Guests are instructed to wait to be seated, but there was little guidance, communication, or assistance. Long waits and a lack of acknowledgment made the visit frustrating. Food was mixed. The wings and fries were excellent--so good they disappeared before there was time to take a picture. The spring rolls, however, were under-seasoned, slightly overcooked, and only two come with an order, which felt disappointing for the price. The dipping sauces helped, but the filling could have used more flavor. The standout of the night was the Smash It cocktail. Made with Suntory Toki whiskey, basil, lemon, simple syrup, and an absinthe rinse, it was refreshing, balanced, and absolutely delicious. Easily the highlight of the visit. Would I return? Yes. But next time I'll go with adjusted expectations: eat beforehand, enjoy the atmosphere, grab a cocktail, and consider anything else a bonus. Pro Tips: Order the Smash It cocktail. The wings and fries are worth trying. Park in the garage across the street. Don't expect fast service during busy times. If you're hungry, have a snack before you arrive. Great atmosphere and cocktails, but service and parking keep it from reaching its full potential. With better staffing and a little more attention to guests, this place could easily be a 5-star experience.

A prime location for a prime steakhouse. The service was strong as was the pacing. I found the server a bit too eager to explain the restaurant and the menu. I'm a ribeye eater so I had a pretty good idea I was getting a ribeye before I went in. I think the talking is used as a way to upsell and push guests towards opaquely priced off-menu "specials" which from my understanding are always on offer (such as their deviled eggs and bone marrow sauce). We started with the beef tartare and duck ravioli. I preferred the tartare, which had a nice spicy seasoning throughout. The duck ravioli had an excellent sauce on it, too. For our mains, I got the prime boneless ribeye ($68) and my brother got the prime strip ($56). We also shared the Yume A5 Wagyu experience ($225), letting us try three different cuts of Wagyu side by side. For sides (about $15/each), we did the fontina potatoes, truffle honey tots, and carrots. We also added the gulf prawns ($21), foie gras ($14), and bone marrow sauce (~$20) which was prepared table side and was plenty to share. It was very rich and peppery, though a bit of a salt bomb. For dessert, we shared the French toast bread pudding with maple butter ($14) which is one of my favorite bread puddings I've tried. They also brought my brother a dessert since it was his birthday, it was something like a raspberry mousse with coconut foam and a sharp raspberry sauce. Excellent. The Yume experience was a big motivation in coming here, as getting to try cuts of A5 Wagyu next to cuts of regular (albeit prime) beef is unique in the Memphis area and really for hours around. It was priced as an experience rather than a food item. It did not disappoint, nor did the prime steaks. The A5 is so unbelievably tender by comparison. My favorite was the ribeye, but I'm biased. My brother, normally a strip guy, agreed with me there. The potato sides were underwhelming, particularly for the price. I don't know how I let my brother talk me into buying him $15 tater tots for his birthday. I could get the carrots again, though. My total was $800 for the two of us for the above food, six cocktails, and tax and tip. A big chunk of that was the Yume experience as well as the drinks (we were celebrating!). If we were to go back, it would be closer to $350 for the two of us, and I would go for the prime ribeye with foie gras again, no need for Wagyu or sauce. I enjoy the sister restaurants in this restaurant group (Coastal Fish, Flight, Southern Social) and frankly I'd bet Porch is the cash cow of the group due to the relatively poor value proposition. We had a great experience exploring the finest steak and accompaniments one could wish for. But, for my money, Coastal does a pretty good steak too.
