I've been trying to go here for the past several years. When they were in the antique shop they would always be closed the days we tried going. Now they've moved to the town square. But sadly they're only open for dinner and no longer lunch. The hostess was a bit standoffish when we arrived. Not really friendly at all. I will also note when we made the reservation a few days in advance, that during the call I got placed on hold probably half a dozen times. Super annoying. And on top of it all, our advance reservation only got us a seat in the bar area and not even the main dining room. My kid wanted the prime rib but it is only on Saturdays and possibly on holidays like New Years. They do have a kids menu. But you gotta ask for it. It comes with a drink. But the drink was just soda or tea. I was kinda hoping for some non-caffeinated options for my kid. But we decided on the Diet Coke which honestly tasted a bit like Dr. Pepper. The kids chicken Alfredo was ok. I liked the sauce which was thick and creamy. The chicken on top was kinda tough and overcooked however. My dad just got the toasted ravioli appetizer. It was kinda soft an undercooked. Not very toasted at all. I wished it was crunchier like some of the photos made it look. The meat in the middle also tasted weird. Kinda mushy with a not-so-pleasant taste. Not sure what meat it is. The chicken parmigiana was just meh. It was on a bed of thin spaghetti that was not even warm. I paid extra to get it with their "famous" meat sauce. But I didn't see any meat in there at all. I asked what kind of meat is in the meat sauce, and they oh chicken and stuff. My dad's toasted ravioli also came with their famous meat sauce and although it was chunkier than the meat sauce on my parmigiana, I'm not convinced any of those chunks was meat. The check came while my dad was still eating. Not very cool for a classier place like this. So the bill came out to $58. Tax and tip in Tennessee kicks it up another 30%. So $70-$80 for just an appetizer, a kids meal and an entree. That's with no drinks or dessert. Not gonna lie, kinda pricey for what we got. It's a nice environment. But honestly huge disappointment overall from both a food and service standpoint. read more

If you are in the Memphis area this place is amazing! This restaurant is beautifully decorated and I loved the whole Italian theme of it. Every bite was fantastic. I love the Italian restaurants that do the bread with the olive oil and spices, it's my favorite! I had the Chicken Ravioli and an Espresso martini. Both absolutely divine. I was excited to have a new restaurant in Collierville so made a reservation for my husband's birthday. It was odd that when we arrived at our appointed time, we were told that our table wasn't ready and asked to wait, right in front of a reserved table for two in the front of the restaurant. Several minutes later, we were taken to a table - next to the kitchen. Not actually a celebratory location. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. And quickly took our order. We ordered a wedge salad and Miss Mary's Salad. The wedge was delicious and lovely. The Miss Mary's was lackluster. Then we waited for our entrees. And we waited and we waited. We finally received our Fettuccine Alfredo and Blackened Salmon. The sauce on the fettuccine was delicious but the chicken was dry. The salmon was ok but again lackluster. And the risotto looked more like rice. Another interesting observation, all the servers were white women. I started looking for some diversity and saw none in the dinning room. I did manage to glimpse two people of color in the kitchen, but no one except those of us at the table by the kitchen would ever see any color. Odd. read more

We come here almost weekly. I like to order the 12-oz New York Strip and my husband enjoys the 8-oz gorgonzola filet. Both are executed to perfection. The Italian spinach that comes with the NY strip is excellent, too. The ambiance is OK for Collierville (as in, not cool or urban in any way, but not ugly like most places here), and the service is friendly and reasonably efficient. read more

This is the first time I have ever visited this restaurant. Since there were a few of us, we were able to try different things. The fried zucchini was fresh and crisp! Our table loved the cheese ravioli, the meat ravioli, chicken ravioli, and chicken Alfredo. The chicken ravioli is the best ravioli I have ever had in my life and we asked for more bread to sop up what remained of the sauce on the plate!! For dessert we had cheesecake and cannoli. Both delicious and so pretty! The waiter we had was so kind and helpful. I believe his name was Ryan. Very personable! He made sure the table was kept tidy, our drinks were kept full, and shared his favorite dishes to help us decide what we wanted. The restaurant is very clean. Started with a very heavy balsamic glazed Bruschetta that was cold and over cooked. Not sure what was going on with the plate execution. And was that burned Parmesan crisps? Calamari which was recommended was overcooked in old oil and served cold. A slice of tomato and two sliced red onions as a garnish on calamari? We selected the salmon and risotto entree which was swimming in butter and very salty. Our daughter thought the risotto was mashed potatoes. And when my wife and I wanted to split it they wanted to assess a fee. Knowing the kitchen space is limited, I hope they can make the menu simple and executable. It certainly has potential. Double check your bill. Charged for doubles when I ordered my drink. Bring cash so you don't have to pay credit card fee usually incurred by the business. read more

We came in for date night. Let me start by saying the food is top notch. The service however ruined our experience. We sat at the bar and had dinner. Bartender must have been having a bad night since After she brought us 1 drink, the only other time she spoke to us was took our order and gave us a Check. Never asked how dinner is, if we needed another beverage and her testy behavior was making everyone uncomfortable. Best meal we've had in a long time! I don't normally write reviews, but felt the food and service was so great tonight that it deserved one! We started with the toasted ravioli (not pictured), but I'd definitely recommend it! You can tell they were handmade with care and packed full of flavor. I ordered the salmon with risotto and squash. It was swimming in what I called "butter soup" that is SO flavorful and really enhanced everything on the plate! My husband had the sea bass with mashed potatoes, spinach, and mushrooms. It was the best sea bass we've ever had! And neither of us like mushrooms, but even they were tastefully done. Our server, Ryan, was also very attentive and on top of everything! This is the real deal when it comes to fresh, homemade Italian. Everything was spectacular. We had the bruschetta & toasted ravioli for appetizer. Bruschetta is not your regular- it was so fancy but oh so good. For entrees our table had spinach lasagna. Ahhhmazing and it wasn't real spinachy. Tasted like good ole lasagna. This small restaurant, tucked in the back of Sheffield Antiques Mall in Collierville is quiet and unassuming but carries the Grisanti name, synonymous in Memphis for quality Italian food. We walked in on Saturday, NYE, around 1pm with no wait--there were plenty of tables available. The layout is quite open, which doesn't do much for the ambiance but ensures the wait staff can see and cater to you. As such, my husband and I both remarked how rare it is to get such good service. We wanted for nothing throughout or meal. Service was truly impeccable. The food received slightly more mixed reviews. We started with bruschetta, which was hearty but had a bit too much balsamic glaze on it - words I never thought I would utter. Otherwise it was delicious. My husband had the manicotti, which was, according to him, "good not great." The filling looked significantly over processed as if all ingredients were blended together with an electric blender before being stuffed. I had the chicken parm and had high hopes for it but was very disappointed. The pomodoro sauce was absolutely delicious, but the quality of the chicken was terrible. In particular, the texture of the chicken was much like a "formed" breast patty you'd find on a fast-food chicken biscuit. I can be quite particular about both meats and textures, but even my husband, the ultimate carnivore, didn't enjoy it. Between the pasta/sauce, bruschetta and bread (complimentary), I was full and therefore didn't return the food or speak to anyone about it. So happy to finally get around to trying this place. Went with my husband and son for a birthday dinner. Hosts and server were all very friendly and kind. All the food was incredible and delicious! Beautiful presentation and flavors to die for! I had the chicken ravioli which was so rich and flavorful! Hubs had the meat ravioli. I was worried the portions would be too small but the dishes were so rich and incredibly filling! Kiddo had pepperoni pizza from the kids menu and scarfed it all down. He said he really liked the crust - light, thin, crisp. They included a birthday dessert as a gift. We chose the crème brûlée as it was the special for the evening. Outstanding. We were so excited to hear about this opening up near the Collierville Square! We tried it out last night and we had reservations. We were seated promptly. I ordered the Chicken Ravioli and my husband ordered the Manicotti and Elfo. We brought our own wine and there is a corking fee. Our food came out hot and fresh and we both really enjoyed both entrees very much! The service was great. I love the family history and photos that are displayed throughout the restaurant. This could have been a 4 or 5 star review, but the service kind of ruined it for us. Food was awesome. Ambiance was fine, apart from a wobbly table and a very loud & obnoxious party of 6 next to us that seemed to be elbows-deep in their 5th or 6th bottle of wine. Not holding the latter against the establishment however. We had the Calamari as an appetizer, and shared the Chicken Parmesan & Elfo / Manicotti for the mains. The service was very tacky, rushed, and uncoordinated. We were waited on by 2 servers, neither of which appeared to be communicating with each other. Ordered a cocktail and app, asked to keep the wine/cocktail list for another round with the mains. Server 1 acknowledged, Server 2 came by and snatched it up without a word less that 2mins later. This process repeated itself when we asked for it back, this time server 1 dropped it off, server 2 stared us down until we ordered something. The mains arrives (which we had asked for a couple of app plates if it wasn't too much trouble from server 1, since this was our first time dining here and we wanted to share.) We asked again once the food arrived and we were brought a full size dinner plate which we awkwardly made do with. Enjoying our meal and light conversation, at a reasonable volume unlike our neighbors, both servers attempted to clear our plates multiple times and push a desert list with over a third of the portion remaining. This is no more than 15mins after the plates landed on the table from the kitchen. We grew more and more irritated with the lackluster service we were receiving, scarfed down the rest of our food, asked for the check, paid and left. This was a $115 meal from start to finish that took exactly 47mins and felt rushed the entire time, more rushed than one would feel eating dinner at a sports bar or pub. I'd love to put one of the servers waiting on us in the same situation and see what their review of the meal would be. I'd consider take out from here in the future, the food was truly good, but the service just missed on so many marks it became comical and irritating. For that reason alone, I can't recommend dining in here. read more

Love the new place. Have enjoyed David's food for years and still do, so food, service, and ambience get four stars...but I'm going to share two things that bothered me. Tables in the front left dining area are too close. The party of eight next to us were loud making it difficult to even hear our waitress Carla who was great! Second..the chicken livers appetizer was over cooked and too crunchy. However...the veal scallopine, chicken ravioli, chicken parmigiana, and fettuccine Alfredo were all fantastic! Grisanti's never disappoints with their incredible dishes and fine dining experience. Dinner for four was very affordable even with two appetizers, salads, and drinks. We will be back, but will request another area to sit in. read more

We finally made it in to the new Grisanti's On Main, which has a charming location off the Collierville Square. The ambiance is comfy and convivial, with just the right amount of upscale sparkle. They did an excellent job transforming this space - very tastefully done. We truly enjoyed our meal; it was classic Italian, which is my personal favorite, but can be hard to find done right. I would recommend everything we tried! We had the calamari and ravioli appetizers, the sea bass and manicotti/elfo combo, and chocolate cheesecake and tiramisu. My children ordered pizzas. I also treated myself to a Negroni cocktail. Everything was delicious and I especially loved the rich, buttery elfo and manicotti filling. Carlos was an attentive and enthusiastic server! David Grisanti's Restaurant is an experience! We have been 4 times now and the delicious food and fantastic service is consistent! We have had the Steak Marsala special (never anything like this anywhere, yum), Manicotti, Spaghetti with cheese stuffed meatball (what?!), and the Lasagna (they put spinach in theirs, wow). The atmosphere feels very italian and romantic!! Carlos, our server, made us feel like we were in his home!! He even made the Steak Marsala happen for me when it wasn't the special last night! He was genuinely happy we were there and excited with his suggestions! So good at keeping an eye on us!! Go here, you will not be sorry! Make a reservation, nice continuous crowd!
