Was very excited to try this place, especially after hearing it was nominated for a Michelin Star. We made reservations for our 20 year anniversary and did it for 5PM right when they open so we could avoid the parking nightmare of that area (been to other restaurants in the area and know how it is). Was seated immediately in a corner table, nice dark ambiance. Waitress was great and very helpful. That was probably the only great thing about the place. We were the only people there with about four tables in our room and another four in the room next to us. About 10 minutes in the sat a business meeting right next to us. Of all the table and knowing we were celebrating our 20 year anniversary, why would you sit a business meeting right next to us when you had so many other tables available. They were so loud I literally couldn't hear my wife talking next to me. Now on to the food. Everything was way over salted, and I love salt. I had the duck which the skin was perfectly crisp but was so salty I couldn't even eat it. The wife had the fish (can't remember what kind it was), which was rubbery and again way too salty. The crispy rice appetizer was mushy and salty. The focaccia and prosciutto was salty as expected which is why we ordered it but needed something else like olive oil or something to dip it in because it was dry. Normally we stay for dessert but nothing appetizing about the food screamed it was worth spending another $20 for a piece of cheesecake. No desire to try again.

I got a gift card for my birthday and used it for a little date night with my boyfriend! We shared the blue crab focaccia, Carbonara pasta, and the Coppa. Everything was really flavorful, especially the focaccia with the cheesy crab topping! The thick noodles in the Carbonara were a standout, and it was the perfect size for splitting. The Coppa had great flavor, and the sauce on top really tied it all together. Parking. They had free valet, or there's street parking around the corner, that we ended up doing. Overall we had a great night and were happy with all of our choices!

We had a reservation for late on a Saturday night. We arrived on time and were told that the table before us was running over so they didn't have a table ready for us. The hostess did her best to find another option for us, but unfortunately the only options were tables by the bar or outside (even with the heaters it was too cold). We ended up at the table near the bar and it was so loud that we could barely hear each other talk. Other than that slight disappointment, the experience was great. Our waiter was nice & very knowledgeable about the menu. Most things we tried were fantastic, although I didn't care for the meatball. My favorites were the rigatoni & the chocolate sticky toffee pudding.

Overall, the service was a 10/10. The staff was amazing, and the quality of service was consistent throughout the entire experience. I would absolutely recommend the restaurant based on service alone. That said, I do have to be honest about the food. The duck entrée was disappointing because the skin was overly salted, which took away from what could have been a great dish. As the main entrée, this was unfortunate and affected the overall dining experience. With respect to the star, I would suggest reducing the salt so the flavors of the dish can truly shine. On a positive note, the wine selection and house drinks were excellent and definitely stood out.

I tried AMIK for one of their monthly WTF Wednesday events, in which they do not provide the menu until after the meal. Each dish was full of surprises. The flavors were great. I loved the wine pairing as well. The service was top notch, but it was a little slow at first as our waiter was very busy with other tables. They seemed a little short staffed that night. We had nothing but water on our table for half an hour, and it took forty five minutes for me to get my first glass of wine. Once the food and drinks started coming, though, I was very happy. The atmosphere is dark and warm. The decorations are modern. The total was $265 for my girlfriend and me. The experience lasted about two and a half hours. I'll certainly be back to try their a la carte menu, or perhaps another tasting menu event like this one.

My NYE experience at Andrew Michaels was a little disappointing. The food was good, but the service was lacking. We waited quite a long time to order and also a very long time between the first and second courses. I ordered the wine pairings with my meal, but our server didn't mention the wine pairings when describing the prix fix menu, took all of our orders, then began walking away before I stopped him to add the wine. My food was good, but my partner's steak was a little overcooked. We also weren't asked how we wanted them cooked, but we assumed they'd be med rare (mine pictured was). Overall, I understand they were busy so it was probably just an off night. We'll always be back for the sticky toffee pudding!

What a wonderful, local Memphis spot!!! Sat at the bar for a last minute meal and it did not disappoint!!! The pasta is fabulous and so are the cocktails! The bar service was excellent and I will definitely be coming back! Love the upscale vibes

The A/M cornbread was the star, but the three pasta dishes we tried were very good. The cornbread was a bit pricey but worth it. The pastas were very reasonably priced. We dined in the bar, and it was extremely loud, even though it didn't actually bother us that much. A very nice restaurant, good service, and professionally run. We will definitely be back. P.S. I wish everyone would label their photos--it can be a big help.

Andrew Michaels had been on our list for a long time and we finally decided to make a reservation for a date night. Our dinner reservation was at 6:30 and we were seated promptly upon arrival. The hostess sat us at a small table against the wall in between two big parties, which's not a great spot if you are trying to enjoy a relaxing, intimate date night. The whole space felt cramped and I could hear every conversation going on around us. It was a really irritating and uncomfortable start to our dinner. The rest of the dinner was not very memorable. We got two drinks, two appetizers, and two pasta entrees. The only thing I mildly enjoyed was the Focaccia appetizer. The Tuna Crudo was very overpriced at $16 for only four tiny pieces. The pasta portions were really small for the price they are charging. It would've been fine if they tasted phenomenal but they were just ok, average at best. We were really disappointed with the whole dining experience at that point and were ready to just get the check and leave. But we ended up getting dessert and that turned out to be the highlight of our evening. I got the Trio of Gelato and my boyfriend got the Chocolate Sticky Toffee Pudding. The gelato was some of the best I've ever had with super creamy texture. The chocolate toffee pudding was so delicious! We loved the pecan powder and the smooth rich chocolate. I joked that I'd probably come back here just for the desserts. Overall it was a subpar dinner experience. We might come back and give them another try in the future but for now we'll save the special dates and occasions elsewhere.

Can u bring your own wine?

Yes, but they may charge a corkage fee

What kind of attire is it what should I wear?

I believe dress code is business casual. Jeans no holes. Loafers or dress shoes no tennis shoes. No hat. Nice button down or collared shirt. If you're feeling fancy a sport coat would be good too.

Portions were excellent for the price. My biggest issue with this place was the club-like atmosphere at 8pm on a Thursday night. It's a small space. The lights were dimmed so low. The DJ was playing music loud enough for a 5,000 sqft space. This place is not the vibe for a meal if you want to talk to your friends, but definitely the place for good food at a great price.

Seemed to be more to-go orders than anything. We came and were seated. The server told us it was her first day so she didn't have answers to any of the questions that were asked. I ordered the blackened catfish pasta and my friend ordered the blackened catfish meal. After waiting for quite some time, the server comes over and tells us that it takes about 45 minute to cook our food since everything is made to order. So if we were on lunch break, it would be better to call in the order. 1- it doesn't take 45 mins to scoop pre-made pasta or grill catfish. 2- You probably should have told us that information when we arrived, not an hour after we been sitting. Yes it took a full hour to get our food. With no one else in the restaurant. Should have been a clue. My food wasn't even piping hot when we got it. It was lukewarm as best. So the taste was just ok. Fish very salty. Pasta flavor was ok. My friend enjoyed her meal but was also disappointed in the wait and the warmness of the food. Presentation was good however. I asked for a to-go container and the check. The server said ok and then went to talk to another employee for an additional 20 min as we were waiting to finish up and leave. I had to go ask her again. And she said it's on the way. So in all, we spent about an hour and 40 minutes in this establishment during our lunch time. Not sure I have any interest to return.

I am waiting for Amelia Gene to let us in on the prank that they are the second iteration of The Shed. Ambiance and service were good, but the food and price point were outrageous. Overall, food was barely mediocre. Not one entree was inspired or merited more than 4/10 stars. Potato fondue was mashed potatoes, the biscuits were dense and flavorless, but the truly comical moment of the evening was when they brought my 6'6 husband's ravioli to him. $18 for one ravioli that (he said) was *not even good*. I am shocked at the positive reviews and overall rating Amelia Gene's has received. Maybe we hit it on a very off night? Maybe we don't get "it"? Either way it's not for us.
