Exceptional food and drinks. The fish dishes are perfectly cooked and great portions, we loved the Bee's Knees cocktail as well. The servers were really nice, provided great recommendations. My only constructive feedback is that we didn't receive a starter we asked for. Turns out we didn't need it, but still... was an attention to detail missed. Bathrooms are immaculate, space is clean and well appointed. Truly a great and unique menu, we will go again.

Very pretty restaurant. Excellent service. Quite expensive. We started with ravioli, prawns, burata, asparagus, biscuits, steak tartar, and a 5 cheese sampler plate. The biscuits were really delicious. The steak tartar was very disappointing. I'm sure the steak was good quality but it was so overwhelmed by the spice they used (curry, I think) that you just couldn't taste any steak at all. Everything else was fine but just nothing great. Our entrees were filet mignon and short ribs. Both were very good. Dessert was carrot cake. I didn't love it. Had a ton of crunchy stuff on it that I didn't like. We also had 6 cocktails. All together, it was $675 before a $125 tip for 5 people. Not terrible restaurant by any means, it's also nowhere near worth $160 pp for dinner. Don't see myself going back here.

Ambiance was my favorite part about the restaurant. Wait staff was great- food was pretty good, but overall isnt my favorite. One of the reasons that i gave it 4 stars was there was a mans curly hair on my plate/food. They did give me a new plate but overall was sort of grossed out by it.

Everything was amazing! Food is delicious and service is great! We tried the biscuits, octopus, seabass and monkfish.

We ate here for dinner last night while we were in town, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The lemon drop martini was fantastic, and every dish we ordered was exceptional--from the cheese board, prawns, and potato fondue to the warm biscuits and perfectly cooked prime filets. To top it all off, our waitress, Ella, provided outstanding service and made our experience even better. We'll definitely be back!

Enjoyed our date here! Food was absolutely delicious. The vibes were immaculate. Ravioli portion was a bit small but other than that everything was good.

AG's feels like a night out in Italy. I love that it's dimly lit and has intimate settings. Our service was superb and the food was great. The homemade biscuits & honey butter were our favorite!! Mouthwatering buttery goodness! I would come back just for those. The chef sent us a turnip soup that was phenomenal. I hope it gets added to the menu. The prawn appetizer was delicious. Prepared just right! I didn't care for the egg noodles that came with the lamb pasta, though the accompanying lamb was nice. My friend enjoyed her rigatoni, but no protein is served with that dish. Overall, we had a great experience and we will return!

Date Night!! I selected Amelia Genes! We had a great time laughing and talking!! Lovely place with beautiful decor and a great idea to leave some of the original steel company's machinery! The drinks and food were delicious and plated well! However, the Rigatoni | Seasoned Ricotta | Lobster Sauce was not tasty, and I would not order it again. But the Prime Streak Tartare and Prime Filet Mignon were fantastic. We will return. 8/10

Came here to celebrate a birthday and had an absolutely amazing experience. The food and service were both outstanding. The architecture alone is stunning, beautifully blending the building's former industrial/welding roots with elegant ambient lighting. We were pleasantly surprised with complimentary soup from the chef and champagne to help us celebrate, which was such a thoughtful touch. They were also very accommodating to guests who don't drink.

Amelia Gene's is truly most beautiful and modern restaurant in downtown Memphis with professional and friendly staff to ensure the best dining experience. The roasted carrot soup as the amuse bouche was delicious. Simmered with whole peppercorn and puréed to a thick pulpy soup. We ordered the Black Seabass and the Dry Aged Prime Bone in New York strip steak with beef grease popovers. Both entrees were decent with flavor profile and a reflection of a small town charm and interpretation of fine dining. Just would have preferred a higher quality steak with darker color and flavor for its steep price point. Would be delighted to return to try their appetizers and pastas next time.

Wow, how can I give this place a compliment that measures up to the experience? My husband and I came for a date night. The place is in a rustic old mill building that's been renovated into a high class modern vibe. The ambiance is cozy, romantic and elegant. The service is outstanding, it's the best version of high quality service in the food industry you could expect. Servers are well dressed with good posture and manners. Forks were changed out, waters filled, server came by at all the right times, not a single thing was unaccounted for. We had a glass of wine and their old fashioned black coffee drink which was so smooth and delicious. To start we had the cheese sample (I cannot remember all the cheeses) but the server cut them at our table and they were paired with guava paste, bread crackers and candied walnuts. The cheeses were so interesting and fresh. I am a huge oyster fan, and these oysters were hands down the best I've ever had. We were told the oysters are from the north East (possibly Maine) and the oyster itself was sweet with a green creamy sauce. Next we had the duck and monkfish. I have to admit I am not a huge duck fan but this meal was incredible. My favorite was the monkfish. Thank you for making our experience incredible. We noticed every effort and detail in the experience you create! We will return again soon.

This restaurant truly delivers on every level. The food and atmosphere were equally enjoyable--warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed, making it a place you want to linger. Our server was excellent and genuinely elevated the experience, bringing enthusiasm, knowledge, and clear passion for both the menu and the craft behind it. The chef's creativity really shines through, combining interesting, unexpected ingredients that somehow come together beautifully. From desserts to cocktails, every bite and sip surprised us in the best way. The carrot cake with pistachio was memorable, as was the Old Fashioned with espresso and orange--bold, balanced, and inventive. The lemon pound cake paired with a chocolate mousse bar was the perfect finish: bright, rich, and indulgent without being heavy. An impressive experience all around, with thoughtful flavors, great energy, and standout service. A place we'll absolutely be returning to.

Portions were excellent for the price. My biggest issue with this place was the club-like atmosphere at 8pm on a Thursday night. It's a small space. The lights were dimmed so low. The DJ was playing music loud enough for a 5,000 sqft space. This place is not the vibe for a meal if you want to talk to your friends, but definitely the place for good food at a great price.

Seemed to be more to-go orders than anything. We came and were seated. The server told us it was her first day so she didn't have answers to any of the questions that were asked. I ordered the blackened catfish pasta and my friend ordered the blackened catfish meal. After waiting for quite some time, the server comes over and tells us that it takes about 45 minute to cook our food since everything is made to order. So if we were on lunch break, it would be better to call in the order. 1- it doesn't take 45 mins to scoop pre-made pasta or grill catfish. 2- You probably should have told us that information when we arrived, not an hour after we been sitting. Yes it took a full hour to get our food. With no one else in the restaurant. Should have been a clue. My food wasn't even piping hot when we got it. It was lukewarm as best. So the taste was just ok. Fish very salty. Pasta flavor was ok. My friend enjoyed her meal but was also disappointed in the wait and the warmness of the food. Presentation was good however. I asked for a to-go container and the check. The server said ok and then went to talk to another employee for an additional 20 min as we were waiting to finish up and leave. I had to go ask her again. And she said it's on the way. So in all, we spent about an hour and 40 minutes in this establishment during our lunch time. Not sure I have any interest to return.

Appetizers we had the breads & butters which I cannot recommend highly enough. Not just me, everyone at the table raved. One girl had loved it so much she hadn't stopped talking about it since last year! The mustard was also a huge discussion point. The seafood tower.... One of our folks couldn't stop eating oysters someone else was totally drawn into the calamari, but for me it was the lobster! Oh my so good! Really all the seafood eaters at the table were very pleased. I had the filet and loaded baked potato which was awesome. We had a range of things at the table (filets, strip, Verona salad, jack's trio, halibut, etc) but the most noteworthy was a new, extravagant burger that includes lobster atop the beef. A kind of surf and turf on a bun. The person ordering it is certain she will never have a burger that rises to the occasion! It was certainly a vision.

Really enjoyed the soup of the day, which was a creamy chicken florentine. The side loaded baked potato should be shared with at least 2-3, as it is a huge potato. I had the shrimp scampi, which was much less successful. Unlike a traditional scampi which is light, with a garlicky butter sauce and an equally light pasta like angel hair , this "scampi" was heavy, creamy and cheesy...not sure why they called it scampi. Maybe closer to an Alfredo, but even heavy for that. There was so much extra grated cheese on top, it looked like a scoop of ice cream on top when it arrived. The pasta was also heavy and not traditional for a scampi. Additionally, the portion was at least double (maybe more) what it should be. So much wasted, especially for anyone staying at the hotel that cant take home leftovers. I felt so wasteful sending back significantly more than I ate.

The vibe felt like a speakeasy turned restaurant. While larger than a traditional speakeasy, it still managed to feel cozy, intimate and inviting. Shortly after we were seated, the restaurant manager stopped by our table. My sister asked for cocktail recommendations... if you're a cocktail fan, you're in for a treat. Their signature cocktails were thoughtfully crafted and exceptionally well-balanced. We went with their spicy margaritas. As for the food, I could have easily ordered a second helping of the Cajun Abita shrimp appetizer and called it dinner. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned, and the sauce was outstanding. The accompanying beer bread was equally delicious...slightly reminiscent of cornbread but with its own unique flavor. My sister and I weren't huge fans of the She Crab Soup. It was simply too rich and creamy for our tastes. One bite was enough for us although my dad seemed to enjoy it. The Blue Window Wedge Salad is their take on a classic wedge which was spectacular. It will be hard to find another wedge salad that measures up. The sweet potato pecan casserole was good but it felt like it was missing something that we couldn't quite put our finger on what. The maple bacon Brussels sprouts were a table favorite...perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. My dad and sister both enjoyed the braised beef, which was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. To finish, we shared the white chocolate bread pudding and it was absolutely delicious. In fact, the table next to us seemed to enjoy theirs just as much. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience with great service, a memorable atmosphere, excellent cocktails and standout dishes. I'd happily return the next time I'm headed downtown.
