Grilled Chicken...sweet and savory..

I love a late night dinner that serves more than bar food. We popped out after storms and when one place only doing bar food, Curfew was still serving dinner. Had a" JA" which was Henn, Rum mixture that had me a bit relaxed. I had the salmon, wifey had the chicken and we were both satisfied... The place is decorated nice and service was solid..

While in Memphis we went out to dinner with some family plans and Curfew is where we landed on going. From the photos it's such a cute place and it lives up to that in person. It's a cool place to go. The drinks also lived up to where I wanted Curfew to be, the food however was middle of the road. Nothing amazing, but also nothing awful. Our waitress was funny and nice, and she helped us figure out drinks. While Curfew seems to be the place to be, even on a Friday night not a ton of people were there and that should have been a clue for us. I would go back, but I would lower expectations.

Came here visiting from Chicago. Restaurant had a good location - it was easy to find parking only 2 blocks away on a Friday night. Restaurant is modern and stylish; however the floors and our table were a bit sticky. I had the bbq flatbread and it was just ok. I was searching for something fresh and acidic to break up the cheese, chicken and bbq sauce. Some red onion, cilantro, pickled jalapenos would take this dish up a few notches. My sister had the fried chicken sandwich. She said it was well-seasoned, hot and fresh. She also enjoyed her fries. As for the service, our server, Denni, was very nice and upbeat, but also inattentive and very slow. The wait for the food was longer than average I'd say but not horrible. Then we waited forever for a box and check. Also, when we walked in there was no hostess to receive us. She came out a couple of minutes later, though. Lastly, I'll note that 2/3 bathroom stalls in the women's restroom had no toilet paper. So, overall it was just an ok experience, nothing to write home about.

I really wanted to like this place because it's super cute inside and they have a really good looking all day menu. But that where it ends. We went in, sat ourselves as a server pointed towards a table and told us to sit there. We did. The tables were dirty. He came and got us our drinks then came back after a few and took our order.. three times because every time he came back something wasn't available.. the flat breads, no biscuits, no fish. Basically, they had wings and burgers.... Anyways we get two burgers chicken wings and a side of fry's with a mezcal old fashion it seemed no one knew how to make... when it was made it took about 20 minutes to get to me after asking two times..... the shining star WAS the food. The two burgers were good. The lemon pepper wings were delicious. If anything I'd come back just for those but I'd dine out. You're forced 18 percent automatically so the service shows they don't care. They're getting paid anyway. I wish I could recommend but I can't.

Came to this restaurant for a birthday dinner. First off, we were late. The birthday girl was behind schedule so the rest of us delayed our arrival because of that. Once we walked in, to an empty establishment, we were greeted by the hostess. We let her know we were there for a reserved and her response was "the reservation was at 5". She seated us and our waitress came over. The waitress had nice/nasty energy the entire time. I know that energy when I hear/see it. While we understood the lateness, the restaurant was pretty empty outside of the bar. Example: I asked her to bring me a shot, since she was bringing the birthday girl one, I never received it. The Food...average at best. The drinks...I had the Ja Drop. It was pretty good. The ambiance...it's a nice chill vibe. Honestly, I'd probably never go back.

Let's start with a menu that states an 18% gratuity will be added to the check. We were seated, 2 couples were seated after us about 10 minutes. The waiter actually seated us as well as them. They got water and ordered before my husband finally waved the waiter down and told the waiter we were in fact here before both parties (both also only 1couple) and had no water or even seen a waiter... same exact section mind you. He said oh, sorry and proceeded to take our order and then bring us water. The drinks were awful, BUT the food was amazing! I got the Cajun chicken pasta which was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The Hamburger was spiced perfect and the right med rare temperature. In conclusion, go for the food... expect the rest to be underwhelming.

Was hesitant to go because reviews weren't that good but food was really great and service was excellent. We came in late on Christmas Day but food still came out so fast and staff was so nice. I had the brisket burger which was delicious. Cajun pasta was great. Nuts and meat appetizer & sweet wings also recommended. Meat lovers pizza was good but nothing special.

Idk why I haven't updated my review but I will 100% say this spot has gotten better! Everything was so good. The newer shrimp and grits were okay. Idk i wasn't feeling the sauce the shrimp was good and the grits could've been better but overall still good and tasting. Service is always good here. Everyone is super friendly and nice and even with this being attached to a hotel it's still so nice just to visit as a downtown resident

Surprigingly the food at this hotel restaurant was better than all the other places i tried during my short 3 day trip to Memphis. The other places I went to were well known established restaurants too... The decor is really nice much like the rest of the hotel. The service was friendly and the food was great. The Cider Brined Pork Porterhouse was tender and flavorful. The fried chicken livers were as good as they were unhealthy

The ambiance is a mixture of beautiful and charming, yet sophisticated. It was pretty full when we arrived and when we left which was a good sign for business. We started with the cornbread. It had good flavor overall, but be warned that it has a small bite to it. If you're spice sensitive like me, it won't be your favorite. I got the AGNOLOTTI del PLIN for dinner which was a smaller plate of pasta (totally fine as it is dense and meant to be eaten with other things). You could definitely tell the pasta was homemade. It was good, but wasn't my favorite. Very mild in flavor. I'd likely get something else next time that has more of a sauce. My husband got the short rib and it was very good and full of flavor. The celery root risotto is different and refreshing. The star of the show was dessert. It was some kind of sticky toffee pudding with gelato. Possibly one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. I'd love to go back and try something else and for the dessert alone.

Our server was very nice. Having one picky eater that sent her dish back twice is annoying but our server handled it perfectly. The food was all delicious but small servings. I would not recommend the artichoke; it's good but barely enough for a tasting and expensive for what you receive. The grouper was cooked perfectly but again for $40 the serving was small. The cornbread was delicious and a better serving. I would have personally preferred a small cast iron skillet of cornbread for the price instead of I think 4 slices. The cannoli was good, the carrot cake excellent and the parmesan gelato tasteless but for us a must try because we had not tasted it before. The heat was also out so it was cold but not unbearable.

The Italian bread with herbs was delicious, and every appetizer we tried -- from the cheese fritters to the calamari -- was excellent. I chose the smoked chicken ravioli for my entrée, and it was truly delectable. We finished dinner with key lime pie for dessert, and it was mmm good. Overall, the meal was fabulous. My only complaint was the air-conditioning, which felt brutally cold at times. Thankfully it wasn't on continuously, but I couldn't help wondering -- why is the AC blasting on a cold January night? Our server was excellent as well. A+!

Our waiter, Jason, was very attentive throughout the evening and made sure we had everything we needed. We started with drinks, and I ordered the blueberry tequila sour -- twice! They were very good. I ended the night with a French 75, which was also delicious. For appetizers, our table ordered a wide variety including cheese fritters, calamari, crab cakes, artichoke dip, and mussels. Most of the appetizers were enjoyable, especially the crab cakes, which were my personal favorite. The only disappointment was the calamari, which lacked flavor, had a rubbery texture, and even the marinara sauce was bland. After filling up on appetizers, I skipped an entrée and ordered another round of crab cakes instead. While they were excellent, they were served over a bed of pinto beans mixed with salad, which felt like an odd pairing. There are definitely better side options that could complement the dish. Overall, the food was about a 7/10, service was a solid 9/10 (though drinks took a little longer than expected), and the ambiance was pleasantly low-lit without feeling overly formal. It's a family-friendly spot with a welcoming atmosphere, and I'd definitely consider returning for future special occasions.

My favorites were the Foccia bread (very buttery), the lemon chicken and the gnocchi. The ambience is a nice candlelight dinner for a cute date night or special event. We made a reservation in advanced and they had a complementary valet outfront, which made for a no stress experience. Our waitress was kind, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The menu is rotating with the seasons, a bit on the pricier end, which is expected, but really wasn't too bad for such high quality.

Chefs Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman, own this establishment (also Catherine & Mary's, Hog & Hominy, and Little Bettie Pizzeria). I recommend making reservations via phone or Resy online. They do offer complimentary valet service here. The street parking can be rough, as there are several other restaurants in this particular street area. It is more on the romantic and private side. The lighting scene is perfect. There is a full bar at the far back of the restaurant. FOOD: We tried the WTF (What the Food) Wednesday experience, priced at $75 per person, with optional wine pairings available for an additional cost. The dinner consists of five secret dishes created from local ingredients. Guests are kept in suspense until the very end, when they receive a handwritten menu from the chefs to take home. 1. Chicken Liver Toast (4/5): As a foie gras lover, I guessed this one correctly. The flavor was great, but it would have been even better if the toast had been served warm. It was rather cold. 2. Sweetbread Piccata and Celery (5/5): My second favorite dish of the night. The flavor profile was beautifully balanced, from the horseradish to the celery. We were completely fooled, as we thought it was some type of meat and didn't realize it was sweetbread piccata. 3. Spinach Gnocchi and Pumpkin (5/5): We were in love. Everything about this dish was heavenly, from the spinach-infused gnocchi to the brown butter, sage, and pumpkin. I would happily order a full entrée portion and take some to-go home. 4. Pork Shank with Risotto (3/5): Our least favorite dish due to the saltiness. The spinach was heavily salted, so we ended up picking it out. The pork shank itself fell off the bone and was cooked well, but overall the dish wasn't memorable. 5. Sweet Potato Cake and Vanilla Gelato (3/5): My fourth favorite. I don't recall much sweet potato flavor, but the dessert was pleasant enough. The service was great. Our server was personable and attentive. There was a slight delay between courses, but it didn't detract significantly from the experience. Would I return? Yes, would like to try more of the main menu items.
