We visited Rotolo's today around 2:30pm and it was the perfect time to go! There was hardly anyone there, so we were seated immediately with no wait. If you're looking for a quieter time with quick service, mid-afternoon is definitely the way to do it. This was actually our second time here, and it's been amazing both times. It's so nice to find a place that's consistent with both food and service. We ordered the Classic Cracker Thin pizza and it was incredible. The crust was perfectly crispy, the flavor was on point, and the toppings were generous. It's also a HUGE pizza and could easily feed 3-4 people, which makes it a great value for the price. The pizza is fine, but it's really nothing special. We had the OG, which is a pepperoni specialty and there was essentially no cheese on it. Just cupping pepperoni on crust so it just seeped grease. The flavor was fine but it was really messy for no reason. read more

Honestly, I can say I've never had a bad experience at neither location. I've been to the other location more times than this one. So, that goes to say alot in my book. I always get Boudin balls and Bayou BBQ pizza. Everytime!! Everytime!! I've even introduced my mother in law, sister and auntie to RC&C. My most recent experience was Bussin!!! I've been to Rotolo's several times... usually the Memphis location. I love the pizza , especially the cracker thin (Chicago thin crust). The Brussels sprouts app is also always a favorite. It's weird but every time I've been , either Memphis or now here in Cville , the service is spotty.... Maybe because they never have enough help. The hostess at the hostess station was absent for too long, where you sort of wonder ' should I just keep standing here?' (this also happens at both locations) Today we sat at the bar and our guy was the bartender , bussing tables, and serving tables and handling the bar. He was overwhelmed but did a great job. Again, love the food , the beer, the TV's ... but the last thing that burned me was that the check adds 3% if you pay with a credit card. I mean , isn't that how most people pay at a restaurant ?? The pizza is delicious. They have a wonderful selection of drafts with several sours, which I enjoy. Love grabbing a bite and drinks with friends here. The pasta was completely cold in the middle. I liked most of the stuff we got but don't get deep dish here. It was more like lasagna than pizza and it didn't taste great... but the other stuff was really good! The Boudin Balls were surprisingly good. I have no idea what they are because hubby picked it but it seemed like fried meatballs or something. We were hungry for deep dish and I saw this place close by. It's in a newish looking strip mall not accessible directly from the main thoroughfare. Just one other set of customer on a Friday for lunch. Got the Big Apple which comes in deep dish and traditional. It's an international prize competition winner. And I can see why. It was pretty tasty. We got to keep their Christmas plastic cups too. Try to eat it while hot because we took a piece home for later and cold was definitely not as impressive for the deep dish. Tried to get the fried calamari as well but they were out. Almost their "famous" cheese sticks but staff explained it's not like mozzarella sticks but more like a flat bread. So we passed. read more

It's King Cake season and I love the flavours of king cake, I ordered the desert item of a king cake calzone and was happy with what I received. A nicely cooked calzone dressed up in mardi gras colour finery, delicious apple/cream cheese filling and king cake tokens!! (Don't eat those) The filling was sweet but not cloying as you eat. Pairs well with a fresh cup of hot coffee. I arrived before item was ready and when my item was brought up the 2 girls at the front were busy looking over things in their phone together to notice my item had been brought up. So I said nothing & waited because I wanted to see how long it would take them to notice which was a few minutes then I was handed my order and wished we'll for the night. The service was terrible. They acted like they did not want to serve us. On 3 different occasions we had to go grab the waiter, so we had extremely long wait times. The food was alright, definitely not enough for me to ever come back to this establishment. They literally acted like they did not want to serve us and to top it all off they added automatic tip to our ticket which we were never made aware that our party of 2 would have that automatically added to our tab. We are usually very good tippers but seriously if it was up to us we wouldn't have left anything. What was supposed to be a quick good lunch turned into a 2 hour disaster. read more

Went to Rotolo's for the first time. The environment was disrupted as they had live music with performers playing at volumes far beyond the space could handle. The volume made it impossible to hold a conversation, let alone make a food / drink order. The manager should have addressed the band's volume level, which should have been stationed outside in their courtyard. We orders a Chicago-style Tavern Pizza, needless to say Rotolo's misses the mark here. It was a cracker-style pizza but there was zero sauce on it. They claim if sauce were on the pizza it would fall apart in the oven. Which makes their pizza anything but a Chicago Tavern Pizza. As far as the taste, it was passable at best. As a Chicago-style Tavern Pizza the dough should have contained a butter base, to help with browning and that light cracker crust. Here again Rotolo's missed the mark. When explaining this to the manager, she said our meal would be comp'd. But when the bill came nothing was discounted or comp'd. Another disappointment. If we ever return to Rotolo's, we'll call ahead to check if a live band is playing music inside first. As people who grew up in Chicago, we cannot recommend Rotolo's version of this classic America pizza. We are sad this was a bad experience to dine at Rotolo's. read more

I understand things like a bad server or loud music can sour an experience but purely judging on the food and not speaking to people's individual experiences, to me Rotolo's has one of the best pizzas in the city. I've been to three different locations and have had great food every time. I love pizza and I have had it from many places. And I would put Rotolo's in my top five, which is especially surprising considering it is a franchise. The others I love are all locally owned. read more

Our food was delicious. Their lasagna is a huge portion that can easily feed 2. My husband got the double hamburger topped with fried onions. He said it was so good and looked wonderful. Great addition to Collierville. The shrimp scampi wrap was something I had never heard of, but sounded appealing. It was tasty, but kinda oily. I used the olive oil as a way to baste my fries. I got the wrong beer, but what I got was ok. The service was ok, but much better than what I read in the reviews. They were clearly new employees that were getting adjusted to this new establishment. New restaurant in the Collierville area. Super cute restaurant in an upscale area. We stopped in to give the new location a try. While we were seated quickly and the server was friendly, we only saw our waitress once and had to track them down for refills. The food was just ok at best. We ordered the Parmesan cheese bites which looked really good when they came to the table. Unfortunately, they were soggy inside and the sauce that was served with them was not hot. We then ordered the traditional Detroit style pizza. I was not impressed and only ate one slice. Unfortunately, I would compare it to a little Ceasers deep dish pizza for 4 times the price. We went opening week to this location and got to try Rotolo's for the first time ever. Over all a great experience!! Our server Rodney was kind and helpful! The service was good even with it being opening week with people coming in and out / super busy the entire time we were there. The food was good! We only got the jalapeño popper pizza and a craft your own with Canadian bacon. I'm a big ranch with pizza person, and the ranch was great too hah for those who like ranch with pizza. For drinks, we had martinis that were also good!! The vibe of the restaurant was nice and cosy, and we were seated near the front part of the restaurant. The back part of the restaurant had a bar and more seating from what I could tell. I really enjoyed my dinner here! I am excited to come back again to try more things off the menu! read more

Deep bread only; missing the chicken. Windy City was the item on the menu. Mostly sauce, cheese, spinach and tomatoes. Decent taste but hardly no chicken at all. Also got free garlic bites as an appetizer and they were good. Restaurant was ok. A lot of tables were not clean. We asked if they were short handed. Looks like they were. I just sat down for the first time here and there is a live band that is WAY to loud. You can't even have a conversation with the people you are with. Hope the food is worthwhile!! Well the cracker crust pizza came out with no sauce. Was told by the manager that they couldn't put sauce on the whole pizza as it would fall through the oven. Atmosphere - really great new development, the courtyard looks awesome and pretty but it was a little cold for outside. The inside is actually smaller than I would have thought, and is split somewhat in two areas: a bar side that has seating also and just a sitting area. The bar area looked cool and had a great feel, the regular sitting area was kind of bland. It was VERY loud in general in there, not in a rowdy way, just like the acoustics or something and it was very difficult to hear. Service - waiter was great. Very helpful. The food came out very fast, like we were surprised how quickly it all came out. Food - everything was very good. We got a calzone, regular pepperoni, deep dish pizza, and burger. The deep dish was our favorite and very good. We saw other food items being delivered to other tables and it really wanted us to come back and try more stuff! Went on a busy Saturday night. The wait was 30 minutes for a table so we found two seats at the bar. We sat down and the bar was packed and only ONE bartender. It took quite a while for the bartender to acknowledge us. Once he did we placed a drink order. We also placed an order for dinner. This bartender was VERY overwhelmed but was doing his best to keep up. The drinks weren't great but the food was decent. We had a slice of pepperoni pizza and buffalo wings (medium). We went for a lunch with friends and were very happy we did. The dining room is fairly small but still holds a decent amount of tables with a bar area off to the side as well. We enjoyed the casual and comfortable atmosphere. I read a few reviews complains about slow service but for this at lunch time the service was prompt and available when needed. The only complain was they were currently out of quite a few beers but still had pretty rough choose from. For food we had the truffle fries which were very tasty but a bit oily. I would order them again to see if that's a one off or just how they are typically served. We had the first timer deep dish pizza which was delicious and the biggest hit of the meal. We also had the classic thin crust pizza which was full of flavor and just the right amount of thin crispy crust. read more

We ordered lunch for our business and had it delivered by Door Dash. We received our order, there were several items missing so we contacted our Door Dash driver and he said we would have to contact the restaurant. We tried to call several times and didn't get an answer. The manager was not there and we were told that we would have to contact her by email. This was last Tuesday and we still have not heard from her. An employee went to the restaurant to get the missing sauces for our deserts, but we were missing the spinach dip, the marinara sauce for the cheesesticks we purchased, the wrong dressing was given for a salad (and we paid for an extra dressing!). The employee was told that they would have to wait behind the customers that were sitting in the restaurant if we wanted the dip. We placed the order for our lunch fifteen minutes before the restaurant opened! Really disappointed in Rotolo's! We won't do lunch there again! read more

First time here and have to say we loved the food. The atmosphere is casual. Chalkboard with their craft beer selection. No one was at podium when we came in, so just sat ourselves at the bar. Not a big deal, we know how to sit down. Bartender was prompt, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Made recommendations when asked. We had a classic pizza, side salad and cheese sticks. All were great. The cheese sticks were really more like a super thin crust pizza cut into long rectangles (very good). The side salad was true side salad size, not too much, not too little (about a handful of lettuce). I did not try the pizza but my husband enjoyed. Cannot comment on restrooms (did not avail). I will know longer comment on cost of eating out. We know eating out is expensive, regardless of where you go. And no I'm not saying this is more expensive than any other place.
