I decided to treat myself to a nice lunch the other day and I wanted to try something new so decided on The Complicated Pilgrim in The Memphian Hotel. I'd heard some great things about it so here's my chance. Surprisingly it was very slow, I had a wonderful waiter he went over the menu options and answered my questions. I ordered the Steak Frites. As I waited for my food I was able to explore the restaurant. It's beautifully decorated, I love all of the textures and vibrant colors throughout. The bathrooms were also beautiful. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy including a table or two outside. This restaurant is inside of a hotel so if you indulge in a few too many happy hour cocktails you may need to get a room. BYW Happy Hour starts at 2:00 Weekdays. My food was delicious and my dining experience was amazing. I will definitely be back for cocktails.

Celebration continues! Went to celebrate my birthday with a good friend Monday. We have dined here before and enjoyed ourselves! Our server Michael was the nicest guy. He was so friendly and attentive and he was the only server there waiting on many tables. My friend had the fried chicken sandwich with fries. I ordered a salmon sandwich on sourdough bread with fries. Our food tasted so good. I would definitely order this sandwich again. We were going to forgo dessert but heard the seasonal bread pudding was made with caramel. It was very good. My friend took the rest home. Ambience is very nice. The restaurant is decorated with a variety of art and art pieces. The colors are bright and inviting. The decor is very unique and vibrant. We had an awesome time and will return soon. Thank ls Michael for the awesome service! You ROCK!

Great service, and amazing food! Loved the atmosphere, and we were pretty impressed by how quick our food came out. We tried the salmon crostinis and the deviled eggs to start. Both delicious and perfect for a four top. Every ordered something different and all were delicious. Chicken sandwich, blueberry pancakes, the pilgrim wrap, and the salmon Benedict. My Jolly Latte was a perfect holiday touch. Will be back!!!

We visited the Complicated Pilgrim to celebrate a graduation and overall it was a good experience. The atmosphere was elegant and upscale and we had a great server. As for the food we tried the ravioli, pork chops and the pot stickers. The pork chops were tender and well-seasoned and the smoked pulled pork pot stickers were a nice starter with quite a unique twist. While everything tasted good, nothing particularly stood out to make us feel like we had to come back. It's fine if you are already in the area or looking for a nice night out but we wouldn't go out of our way to return. Still, for a celebration or an elevated dining experience in Memphis it is a solid choice. If you do end up going, start at the bar and grab a nice cocktail. The French 75 made by their talented bartender was great!

Complicated Pilgrim has some of the best scallops and cocktails in town. The sear on their scallops is almost like a crust. Every restaurant should sear their scallops like this. They have great classic cocktails and creative specialty cocktails. I've been here a few times with family and for business meals. They have large windows for ample natural lighting, but I find that I prefer the atmosphere at night. In my opinion, the service isn't typically up to par with other restaurants at the same price point. Overall, it's a great spot to try, and I'm sure I'll be back soon.

Salad with grilled chicken.

Was staying at the hotel grabbed a salad at lunch, service was very slow, food took forever to get. The place is nice. My biggest issue was price $13 for the salad and $10 dollars for a chicken breast add on that is a joke.

We booked a private event here for our department and the service was great. Food was hot and flavored well. The lobby and restaurant was so cute and inviting . Bathrooms very clean and spacious. Going upstairs was abit of a hotty-toddy ordeal even with reservations but still enjoyed.

My husband and I took advantage of the weekend 3 course meal special. We started our first course with fried green tomatoes. They were very good but I suffered burns to the roof of my mouth that took 3 days to heal. I told our waitress that they really should tell guest that it's extremely hot and you can't tell until you bite into it and to wait a couple of minutes before attempting to eat. For the second course, he ordered the crab stuffed trout and I had the pot roast. I requested that the chef try to give me a serving that was less fatty but that was unsuccessful. I ended up only eating half of the serving bc I hate fat! It was good but it would have been great had there been less fat. For dessert, I had the key lime cheesecake. Not my favorite. I ate 1 bite. It was gritty and not worth the calories. He had a dirty martini and I had a chocolate martini. They were both delicious and well made. Just before I started this review, I received a bill in the mail from the city of Memphis for $30 for our illegally parked car. Mind you, our car was valet parked by staff, service that was offered for free. Fortunately, our car records incidents and there was an incident bc the valet parker used the wrong key to gain entry to our car and we paid him a tip through cash app. Someone owes us $30! Not cool! Customers beware. Overall, the meal and service were very good and we'd eat here again but I'd order a different dish and bot trust our car to the valet.

This is such a nice spot! I feel you can go here anytime of day to just unwind from everything. They have a good wine and bar menu, the ambiance is super nice and chic, and the service is really good! Complicated Pilgrim is connected to the Memphian in the heart of the Cooper/Madison area. There is more than enough room to bring a group along or to just fly solo. I would say this is also a great spot to have a meeting since it's not overcrowded. The food menu is pretty limited, but they are new so that may change since they are pretty new. I had the brussel sprouts. They were good. I liked the sauce they were in. It is kinda like a sweet and spicy with nuts on them. The only thing is they had a super charcoaled taste to them, so I had to peel the top layer to enjoy them. I will be back to try more and may even stop in to do a little work here and there. Cool spot!

Cameo hands down is the best place to get drinks & don't count out their bar food…read more Me and my girls decided to do All Day Happy Hour which are on Monday and it didn't miss. The service was great and the drinks were even better. We tried the Mai Tai, porn star martini , frosted Jake to name a few. The star of the show for me was the Frosted Jake. It was very refreshing surprisedly. And a huge shoutout to our bartender - I believe her name was Max!!!! Keep her on board. She is everything and so nice. Don't miss this spot at all.

The place is small but inviting. The music playing through the speakers was like they had my spotify synced. All of my favs were playing. (Shoutout to whoever was respnaible for Melanie Fiona album The Bridge being in rotation. That's one of my favs). We were all pretty hungry so we ordered The Cameo Cheesburger and fries. It's a really nice sized burger and definitely will help soak up the "liquor" lol. From 4-7pm you get half off selected classic cocktails. I started with a French 75 and it definitely did its job. There is a cocktail on the menu called Rage Quit ($10) which simply states secret and danger. Well we decided to all try that and let's just say the danger snuck up on us lol I also had a Cosmo which was delicious as well. By this time we are felling really good but need to use the bathroom. We then discover there is a photobooth in the back area. It was pretty comical trying to get all 3 of us in the frame. We chatted with the staff afterwards to let them know that the we had a great experience. If you're looking for a nice happy hour spot, I highly suggest Cameo.

I thought that was a really dope idea that you have to walk in and then walk behind whatever you think it's supposed to be there to find the actual bar. When you come in the building is kind of dark. But when you walk back to the bar, it's super white and lit. It looks beautiful! We talked to the owner for a little bit, he was super nice and super friendly. My drink was good. Customer service was pretty good as well. We got there too late to where there was no food, but that's not why we were coming. This is a nice little hidden gem. That's the way the owner described it!
