This is a little bit of hidden luxury within Memphis! The vibe here is moody and a little upscale. I love their rotating seasonal menus, which offer a variety of cocktails for everyone's preferences. The bartenders are always happy to give recommendations as well. Inside, the seating area is pretty small, so it can be hard to fit a group on the weekend. Other than that, I love it for an intimate night of drinks with the girls! Expect to spend between $12-$15 per cocktail.

Where do I start!? I first came to Cameo for date night and I was impressed with the rather vibey northern bar feel. We had a burger and two old fashioned drinks, which we both enjoyed. The service was quick and the service was great! I came back after the Cooper Young Fest for happy hour with my girls and was so pleased to see that they have happy hour from 4-7 EVERYDAY! The bartenders are excellent, and took great care of us. We stayed for the whole happy hour. Everything is good. We also got fries, which I highly recommend.

Nice spot for a drink. I believe I had whatever special Old Fashion. Not sure about the other drink in the picture provided. Good vibes, good food, however not just a huge amount of seating. I think Mondays are happy hour for a good part of the day, if not all day. Good times for sure

Want something different with a jazz of local Vibes. This is a great spot for anyone that enjoys cocktails. They have various types but also can make you an original of your choice. Lots of options for liquor. Guys and gals behind the bar are super friendly and if you're a packers fan (which I'm not) they have the game on every Sunday.

Another Friday outing with the girls took us to Cameo for happy hour. It was a little empty as we arrived right at 4p but it didnt stay that way for long as I can see why. The place is small but inviting. The music playing through the speakers was like they had my spotify synced. All of my favs were playing. (Shoutout to whoever was respnaible for Melanie Fiona album The Bridge being in rotation. That's one of my favs). We were all pretty hungry so we ordered The Cameo Cheesburger and fries. It's a really nice sized burger and definitely will help soak up the "liquor" lol. From 4-7pm you get half off selected classic cocktails. I started with a French 75 and it definitely did its job. There is a cocktail on the menu called Rage Quit ($10) which simply states secret and danger. Well we decided to all try that and let's just say the danger snuck up on us lol I also had a Cosmo which was delicious as well. By this time we are felling really good but need to use the bathroom. We then discover there is a photobooth in the back area. It was pretty comical trying to get all 3 of us in the frame. We chatted with the staff afterwards to let them know that the we had a great experience. If you're looking for a nice happy hour spot, I highly suggest Cameo.

To start, the place has an exceptional ambiance. Warm during the winter, and quite intimate. Their basket of fries come seasoned and are a good option with their assortment of drinks. Their classic burger tastes a bit like a homemade burger with all the fixings, and it's quite tasty. Service is solid, and they're open late on the weekends. Parking can be tricky, and limited but that's not a big deal. I'll be trying to fit this place in more!

Such a cute spot for Happy Hour! Our drinks were served strong ;) we went on a Monday and were shocked at how many people were there! Happy Hour is all day Monday and from 4-7 other weekdays. They had a large list to choose from that were half off. Loved this because it is so hard to find reasonable prices these days.

Great spot, especially during Halloween. Stopped by during HH and it did not disappoint. The burger was delicious and the drinks were even better. Rebecca made some great drinks. I will ba back for sure to try more cocktails.

What a cute little place in Memphis. If you're looking for a different kind of vibe than your typical Beale Street option, then this is for you. It's a quirky, fun, delicious little bar that is worth a visit. I happened to visit on tropical Tuesday and I have to say they go all out. They decorate the bar every Tuesday just for this night. They also create a separate cocktail list that you can order from. Unfortunately for me, you have to be a sweet drink person to get these because all of them are pretty sugary. A drawback to this theme is that you can't get their regular house specials that night which were more to my taste preference. It was a bit loud in the space so a conversation between two people wasn't possible, but luckily they had a few tables outside that we enjoyed until we got attacked by mosquitoes! I would definitely return and would give it a go on one of their regular nights. Thank you for the hospitality cameo!

I visited Cameo last night for the first time, and it is such a beautiful space! Think dark velvet, mahogany, and gold accents. We sat at the bar, but there were small tables and booths for those seeking a more intimate experience. I loved the unique decor I ordered a Cottage Core Bikini cocktail, which was lovely! My mom ordered one of the rotating frozen drinks -(Pina Colada), and my 2 friends ordered non-alcoholic cocktails. Everything was super good, including the N/A drinks. This would be a great place for a date or to catch up with friends. Definitely will be back on my next visit to Memphis!

This bar is super cool! We were there on a Thursday evening and they had a great DJ spinning. The cocktails are delicious and they have this interesting drink called Rage Quit, that changes every week.

I had a fantastic espresso martini and the best brussel sprouts I've ever tasted! So I was excited to come try something else. On the plus side, the bathroom was so nicely decorated. It was also very clean. I sat at the end of the bar, beside the little section of books. The bartender was nice. I ordered the Ember&Passion cocktail. Although it was pretty good, it was quite mild. Unexpected with the ingredients in it. I was surprised that the level of expected heat was not very detectable. I give it 7/10. When I came here before in the winter, the temperature was perfect and I don't remember being too bothered that they don't have cocktail napkins. But yesterday it was quite warm in the restaurant and not having these napkins wasn't good. Nobody in the restaurant had any type of napkin under any drink! I noticed that just like mine, every glass of water from every patron had a puddle of condensation under the glass. Each time I picked up my glass of water, it would drip onto my food and clothes. My two menus got so wet. I suppose they made this decision to save themselves a lot of money. As for the food: My parmesan truffle fries were excellent!! Hot, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked in the middle. Best I've had in a long time. The Alabama white sauce on the side was just your typical sauce. It tasted just like every other Alabama white sauce that I've had so was not disappointing. But I actually ended up not using it because it was too thin and it didn't add anything to the fries. The fries were excellent enough on their own. I ordered my burger "pink" but there wasn't any pink to it, but I wasn't that bothered about it. Burger and the toppings were tasty, except for the fried green tomato. Looking closely at the picture, you can see that it was SO SMALL compared to the size of the burger. When a restaurant does that, don't they realize that it makes for a glaring disappointment?! It apparently came from near the end of the tomato, and not the middle. If you are going to offer a fried green tomato on a burger, then I feel as if you should only use the larger slices of the tomato, and save the smaller ends for maybe putting in salads. I've always been obsessed with fried green tomatoes. After having my first two bites of burger and still not reaching the tomato, I took it off to eat by itself. Sadly, it tasted terrible! I was surprised. Obviously, they didn't season the tomato or the batter. (Salt and pepper go a long way.) The burger toppings apparently made the tomato batter not only soggy, but also this strange thick texture. Like mushy and chewy at the same time. 1/10 Worst problem: FLIES!!! So many flies! When I just had my drink but no food yet, I noticed them but was not bombarded by them at that point. It wasn't until my food came. All of a sudden I was literally surrounded by them. They were everywhere! No exaggeration. I actually had to use only one hand to eat and the other hand to constantly move back and forth over my food. I eventually gave up and set the plate of some of my fries about 4 inches in front of my burger in order to hopefully draw the flies to the fries so that I could eat my burger. Unfortunately, after only four bites of my burger, when I set it down to take a drink of water, a fly landed on it within one second. Obviously, that was my last bite, and even when I was moving the plate closer to the end of the counter, two more flies landed on it. The glass of straws was inches from me. That, and the book closest to me seemed to be where they gathered to wait for their opportunity to dive bomb me. So many of them! It turned my stomach when I realized that I had been drinking from a straw with my water and I'm sure there had been flies on it before I got there. Every person that gets a straw in their drink at this restaurant has had a fly sitting on top of it. When the bartender told me about the desserts, it turned my stomach to think of just how many flies were in the kitchen. Had I known the fly situation was that bad when I first got my drink, I would have never stayed there, and I certainly would have never ordered food. I do think it is a real shame because the winter months are a totally different experience in that restaurant. But because of how horrible it was this time, I just can't ever come back.
