Really loved the decor, good, and great service. I had oxtails and they were amazing!

Great ambiance, definitely needs a deep cleaning everywhere for dust removal (even in restrooms on top of restrooms stalls), inventory check of out of stock dry ice (consistently for it to be the staple), chick n wings fried in same fish grease as fish (allergies ignited instantly) ... other than that, waitresses had decent attitude including the soul food Sunday host to accommodate our reservations.

Kicked off the New Year with a visit for Brunch. We were able to make a reservation to ensure prompt seating, which did occur. Staff greeted us upon arrival and allows us to take photos until table was ready. I recall the previous venue and I can say I love the remodeling that occured. Super inviting and nice aesthetic. Large televisions, live dj booth and vibrant colors. Our server Nae was the sweetest. Very attentive to our table and super hospitable. I started with the cotton candy martini which was good. I chose the seafood and grits: Cajun Salmon, buttered lobster tail, jumbo garlic shrimp, pepper medley and creamy Gouda polenta. Everyone agreed this dish was a 10/10. Everyone was perfect and I enjoyed every bite. I added a side of breakfast potatoes. Nicely seasoned but could've been fried a little harder. I had a blueberry lemon drop for my second drink and it was just a good as the first. A good Bartender is also a plus! Prices are on point for the menu items. Portions were a good size. Clean establishment. I will visit again for one of their weekday events.

Came here early like 4:30 cause I was visiting in town for the weekend. It was a slow start knowing they just opened so we gave them grace. We went sat on the lounge side ordered a hookah and two drinks for me and my mother. We waited over an hour for our hookah cause the hookah girl was not in yet. What's crazy is there was a guy who worked there that was smoking hookah our entire stay there. They couldn't make us a hookah cause the hookah girl wasn't there but yet an employee was there smoking hookah right in front of us is CRAZY. Bartender was no friendly AT ALL. she made our drinks and dropped them at our table and didn't even say hi or anything. We finished our drinks and still waiting for the hookah we looked for the bartender to order another drink she was on the dinner side at the other bar talking with co workers. It was just a mess. We asked if we can order food since we were still waiting for our hookah. She gave us menus with an attitude. I was ready to go then because service is everything to me but moms was really hungry and this was our first stop in Memphis. We ordered the fried shrimp and the lobster dip. Food was good. Shrimp was good Dip was just okay to me but moms liked it a lot. I seen another bartender come in and she walked right over to us to check in on us I appreciated that she was in a much better mood then Ol girl she was not the hookah girl but she made our hookah. Finally. I made sure to tip her well. we were done with two drinks and food before w got our hookah. I forgot to add there was no one else in there but us so no it was not busy. Overall Service was terrible. I would come back to try their dinner menu but to sit on the dinner side. I would avoid the lounge side all together because the service alone. Also the ambience was cute! real cute on the inside.

I've been to Cache' 42 three times and 2 out of the 3 times I've been there for brunch the food was incredible. The lobster omelette is to die for. The ox tail tacos are amazing and the seafood grits were delicious as well . The drinks are top shelf and top notch! Wockesha does what it is supposed to do! I pray this restaurant stays open it is definitely a place you'd want to visit.

I hate to be that person but there needs to be a dress code. I felt like I stepped into the Players Ball. See through everything, body parts I never needed to see. Our waitress was so forgetful and uninformed. She didn't clear any plates from the table so we could eat comfortably. We had to ask for small plates, silverware, and napkins. They're going for an "upscale" vibe so I'm expecting to pay upscale prices, that's not a problem. However, it should be clearly stated what the items cost. The proteins for the pasta are different prices, and that's not clearly stated. And relying on the waitress to convey that is not acceptable. My pasta was decent. Others who had chicken said theirs was too salty. I will say it was room temperature. I won't be back. It's just not my type of vibe.

Oxtails with rice; love the presentation...

My entire experience from the time I walked through the door until the end of the night was exceptional. When I first walked through the front door I was greeted with front staff who truly made me feel appreciated and welcomed. My brother had reservations made for a party of 25 for my sister birthday . The overall experience and the beautiful atmosphere was very impressive. This is a great place with owners who appreciate your business; I must admit I love fine dining with awesome service. Now let's talk about the food . We tried everything on the menu and no one in my party of 25 was disappointed with anything. Look at the awesome pictures I have taken and they speak for themselves . The grand finale of the night was the tomahawk steaks and oh my goodness the size, taste, texture and flavors was incredible. I apologize because I didn't get a chance to take a picture because my party of 25 started before I could take pictures . Everyone if you want some excellent food and amazing ambience you must try to establishment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in its sun room with a neutral natural palette that I once indulged myself at the Rose Tavern in Canandaigua in Upstate New York. That nostalgic feeling of being in a beautiful tavern is pure delight. Absolutely beautiful restaurant, truly deserves limelight recognition in Germantown. Our darling Annalise server was extremely friendly. We loved the presentation of our dinner, but the octopus was a bit soft for our taste. I've had plenty of octopus in other cities and understand the dish is typically more expensive, but a small single mediocre tentacle is quite pricey for $28. I personally prefer a crispy and firmer chew for octopus. The scallops and shishito peppers were a delightful pairing. Valet parking shouldn't be forced upon the customer though? I felt bad that I don't carry cash to tip the valet, and valet is mandatory unless you want to park on the side streets and walk over. Do carry any cash! I wish that a portion of the parking lot was open for self parking though as those boys don't need to help out every guest who don't need valet and subjecting them to wait around for the boys to grab cars that we're perfectly capable of doing ourselves.

I ordered the shrimp tossed in chili teriyaki sauce, as listed on the menu. The shrimp were fried extremely hard and arrived cold. Instead of being properly tossed in sauce, there was only a minimal drizzle on a few pieces, which made the dish feel incomplete and not as described. The catfish nuggets and fries were just okay--again, both arrived cold, which seems to be a consistent issue with food temperature. The bar experience was also disappointing. The green tea shots were not made correctly, and the "double" shot of Jack Daniels was poured more like a single. In addition, the menu did not include any drink options or pricing. While the waiter mentioned they have a full bar, having a drink menu (even a basic one) would make ordering much easier and more enjoyable, especially for guests looking to try something new. Service-wise, the waiter was clearly overwhelmed and not very available, but when she did come to the table, she was very kind and pleasant. No complaints about her attitude--just a staffing or management issue. Overall, there's definitely potential here, but improvements are needed in food temperature, menu accuracy, and bar consistency to elevate the experience.

Then I paired it with an Earthquake Cab, . Chef kiss!! Everything was absolutely memorable and enjoyable. One thing they could do to add to the ambiance is blocking the headlights of cars from shining into their restaurant. There are simple things that can be rolled out in front the restaurant to assist. I do believe C and I have only been here once as a couple. It did not go well at all, so we have not been back together, as she is holding a bit of a grudge. It's a long story but it all ties back to service. That night we had the worst table in the building and service was spotty at best. Food was still pretty good, just whole ass annoyed by the entirety of the rest of the experience. I am lucky enough to be able to be taken to/host dinner with clients and manufacturers a good bit. They like places like this so I get by ever so often. Gotta love expensed meals!!! Tehehe I like the open kitchen concept they have and the bar is really cool. The metal shelves at the bar that store the booze are bad ass. It's warm and cozy and has a great vibe overall. The last time we sat on the enclosed patio. I had not sat out there before. I think the larger tables all go out there. We had seven and there was another group of about twenty in the same room with us. Food ranges from fairly good to fucking great. I've never had anything bad here, but a few sighs have been had, mostly by misunderstood expectations of what I was getting I would say. So, quite possibly I am the problem. As with most of my problems, actually... The oysters Rockefeller are very different from the norm. Fried oysters on a side of spinach. That's what it seems like. I ate it up, don't get me wrong. I did just switch to only fried oysters after the first one. No need wasting stomach space on spinach. Charbroiled oysters is always a good move and the preparation remains traditional on that one. I do find the oysters to be quite massive and hard to chew the whole thing at once. Cutting them just seems silly though. Steaks are prepared very well and to your liking each time. I have never had a bad one. Good flavor too. I am going to spring on the Hawaiian Ribeye the next time I go on my dime. It's a classic that I remember from Steak and Ale as well as Houston's. Both now gone from Memphis. I like the she crab soup an awful lot, and just about every entree I have had here is killer. You really cannot go wrong with the food. Just order something you normally like and boom. I will also say this. The short ribs I had last time were some of the best I have ever had. Bravo on that! Additionally, I had two giant pieces for like $40! I could only eat one of them after all of the appetizers. Oh.... Yea. They have a hot lobster roll that is good! You don't see that in Memphis very often!! Get you some. Wait.... Lamb Lollipops. They have evolved some of the years but they have really good lamb chops. They used to be the exact same dish as their sister concepts of Itta Bena, BB Kings, and Lafayette's. I am not sure if the whole family still has the old version or not. Here it has changed a good bit. As I write this, I crave it.... Ugh. Damn your foods and your seductive prowess food skills! Lastly, Tommy Peters did great things for this city's food scene. I am sad that he is gone but I know he was proud of this one! Ok. That's enough, Adam.... No one reads this crap anyway. '26 - 48
