Happy hour special is on the lounge side only: half off sides & $3 lamb chops (must order 4 or 6) NO DRINK SPECIALS. I really enjoyed the music being played on the lounge side, at a comfortable volume so you could still hold a conversation. Initially ordered the oxtail eggrolls & lobster Mac n cheese. Waitress came back and said the eggrolls were unavailable so i switched to the oysters. My friends enjoyed their wings and lamb chops. Oysters came out salty and burnt. I was able to send them back no issue. Lobster Mac n cheese was also a tad salty, but edible. Nice chunks of lobster throughout. The $20 Wokesha drink I had was okay. Came here on a Wednesday night. Was seated right away by a friendly waitress. The place was pretty empty on the restaurant side (which was great for us) and the lounge side had a good crowd in there. The overall setup of the place is great. I ordered the oxtails with seasoned rice and those were the best and biggest oxtails I've had. The flavors of both the oxtails and rice were perfect. This was my first experience at Cache 42 and I must say that I want to go back! I went with a family member for a birthday dinner and everything with smooth. Ww had a table for 5 and all of our orders were handled in a timely manner and the food was delicious! I started out with a cotton candy martini! It was so delicious. If you are into fruity drinks this would be a perfect one for you. I had the jerk oxtails and I MUST go back for more. They were tender, juice, flavorful, and just all around . I am definitely going back for more. The bed of beans and rice that it came with was just as filling and delicious. Now if you are a lover of R&B music, this is also the place for you. The noise level is pretty up there, but I love music so it didn't bother me one bit. They also have another side attached that has music, hookah, food, and vibes. Kicked off the New Year with a visit for Brunch. We were able to make a reservation to ensure prompt seating, which did occur. Staff greeted us upon arrival and allows us to take photos until table was ready. I recall the previous venue and I can say I love the remodeling that occured. Super inviting and nice aesthetic. Large televisions, live dj booth and vibrant colors. Our server Nae was the sweetest. Very attentive to our table and super hospitable. I started with the cotton candy martini which was good. I chose the seafood and grits: Cajun Salmon, buttered lobster tail,jumbo garlic shrimp, pepper medley and creamy Gouda polenta. Everyone agreed this dish was a 10/10. Everyone was perfect and I enjoyed every bite. I added a side of breakfast potatoes. Nicely seasoned but could've been fried a little harder. Came here early like 4:30 cause I was visiting in town for the weekend. It was a slow start knowing they just opened so we gave them grace. We went sat on the lounge side ordered a hookah and two drinks for me and my mother. We waited over an hour for our hookah cause the hookah girl was not in yet. What's crazy is there was a guy who worked there that was smoking hookah our entire stay there. They couldn't make us a hookah cause the hookah girl wasn't there but yet an employee was there smoking hookah right in front of us is CRAZY. Shrimp was good Dip was just okay to me but moms liked it a lot. I seen another bartender come in and she walked right over to us to check in on us I appreciated that she was in a much better mood then Ol girl she was not the hookah girl but she made our hookah. They're going for an "upscale" vibe so I'm expecting to pay upscale prices, that's not a problem. However, it should be clearly stated what the items cost. The proteins for the pasta are different prices, and that's not clearly stated. And relying on the waitress to convey that is not acceptable. My pasta was decent. When I first walked through the front door I was greeted with front staff who truly made me feel appreciated and welcomed. My brother had reservations made for a party of 25 for my sister birthday . The overall experience and the beautiful atmosphere was very impressive. This is a great place with owners who appreciate your business; I must admit I love fine dining with awesome service. Now let's talk about the food . We tried everything on the menu and no one in my party of 25 was disappointed with anything. Look at the awesome pictures I have taken and they speak for themselves . The server apologized and basically told us that the cooks were ready to go home which is why I received my food in that manner. I spent $250 for below average quality food. It took forever for us to get drinks and food. The food was okay, but definitely overpriced. Also, you gotta make sure to check your ticket because they prices are WRONG! My husband got the pasta which on the menu it says pick your protein and it's $28. Same thing online. However, they charged us $22 for his pasta and then $18 for the protein!
