    Espresso Martini

If you are in the Memphis area this place is amazing! This restaurant is beautifully decorated and I loved the whole Italian theme of it. Every bite was fantastic. I love the Italian restaurants that do the bread with the olive oil and spices, it's my favorite! I had the Chicken Ravioli and an Espresso martini. Both absolutely divine. The service was exceptional and you could really tell that they cared about the experience they wanted their customers to have. I definitely will be going back!

Our advance reservation got us seating in the bar area

I've been trying to go here for the past several years. When they were in the antique shop they would always be closed the days we tried going. Now they've moved to the town square. But sadly they're only open for dinner and no longer lunch. The hostess was a bit standoffish when we arrived. Not really friendly at all. I will also note when we made the reservation a few days in advance, that during the call I got placed on hold probably half a dozen times. Super annoying. And on top of it all, our advance reservation only got us a seat in the bar area and not even the main dining room. My kid wanted the prime rib but it is only on Saturdays and possibly on holidays like New Years. They do have a kids menu. But you gotta ask for it. It comes with a drink. But the drink was just soda or tea. I was kinda hoping for some non-caffeinated options for my kid. But we decided on the Diet Coke which honestly tasted a bit like Dr. Pepper. The kids chicken Alfredo was ok. I liked the sauce which was thick and creamy. The chicken on top was kinda tough and overcooked however. My dad just got the toasted ravioli appetizer. It was kinda soft an undercooked. Not very toasted at all. I wished it was crunchier like some of the photos made it look. The meat in the middle also tasted weird. Kinda mushy with a not-so-pleasant taste. Not sure what meat it is. The chicken parmigiana was just meh. It was on a bed of thin spaghetti that was not even warm. I paid extra to get it with their "famous" meat sauce. But I didn't see any meat in there at all. I asked what kind of meat is in the meat sauce, and they oh chicken and stuff. My dad's toasted ravioli also came with their famous meat sauce and although it was chunkier than the meat sauce on my parmigiana, I'm not convinced any of those chunks was meat. The check came while my dad was still eating. Not very cool for a classier place like this. So the bill came out to $58. Tax and tip in Tennessee kicks it up another 30%. So $70-$80 for just an appetizer, a kids meal and an entree. That's with no drinks or dessert. Not gonna lie, kinda pricey for what we got. It's a nice environment. But honestly huge disappointment overall from both a food and service standpoint.

We pulled up and realized we had a reservation at the other Grisanti location. They were able to go ahead and seat us. I have the spaghetti and husband had the Alfredo chicken. Everything was really good. Also had the cheesecake for desert. I love the location. Glad to have them in town

This is one of our favorite spots !!! Tried the ravioli with meat sauce - reminded me of my Italian grandmother cooking 5 Hubby had lasagna always great !!!! Appetizer I did not get a pic of we devoured it !! Pear wrapped in prosciutto with Gorgonzola cheese, arugula, and a drizzle of honey and walnuts My favorite appetizer we've ever had

12-oz New York Strip and Italian spinach.
    Rose D.

We come here almost weekly. I like to order the 12-oz New York Strip and my husband enjoys the 8-oz gorgonzola filet. Both are executed to perfection. The Italian spinach that comes with the NY strip is excellent, too. The ambiance is OK for Collierville (as in, not cool or urban in any way, but not ugly like most places here), and the service is friendly and reasonably efficient.

Very cool old Italian feel spot in the main square. Very nice date night spot. The food was all around very good but the chicken Parmesan was a little bit too salty. Other than that our service was great and we would definitely go back!

Shout out to our server Carlos, who was simply amazing in making our night great. David, give that man a raise! In addition to 5 star service, we had a meal that was a carnival of deliciousness in our mouths. The cliche that "everything is good here" aptly applies at David Grisanti's as well. Thanks again to Carlos for his 5 star service!

    Salmon and risotto

Would love for it to succeed. Wanted to try a number of things with my wife and daughter on my birthday. Went with Lenten friendly selections. Started with a very heavy balsamic glazed Bruschetta that was cold and over cooked. Not sure what was going on with the plate execution. And was that burned Parmesan crisps? Calamari which was recommended was overcooked in old oil and served cold. A slice of tomato and two sliced red onions as a garnish on calamari? We selected the salmon and risotto entree which was swimming in butter and very salty. Our daughter thought the risotto was mashed potatoes. And when my wife and I wanted to split it they wanted to assess a fee. Knowing the kitchen space is limited, I hope they can make the menu simple and executable. It certainly has potential. Double check your bill. Charged for doubles when I ordered my drink. Bring cash so you don't have to pay credit card fee usually incurred by the business.

Sea bass with mashed potatoes, spinach, & mushrooms. The best sea bass we've ever had!

Best meal we've had in a long time! I don't normally write reviews, but felt the food and service was so great tonight that it deserved one! We started with the toasted ravioli (not pictured), but I'd definitely recommend it! You can tell they were handmade with care and packed full of flavor. I ordered the salmon with risotto and squash. It was swimming in what I called "butter soup" that is SO flavorful and really enhanced everything on the plate! My husband had the sea bass with mashed potatoes, spinach, and mushrooms. It was the best sea bass we've ever had! And neither of us like mushrooms, but even they were tastefully done. Our server, Ryan, was also very attentive and on top of everything! It was a fantastic date night meal!

My husband and I decided to visit after securing an available reservation on Opentable. We were seated in the bar area, which was fine. The bar area was pretty lively that night and there was a game on. I ordered the Bourbon smash drink which was soooo good! I enjoyed it so much that I made note of the recipe so that I could make my own version at home. The bread that we started out with was very good! I ordered the petit filet and my husband ordered the Norwegian Salmon. My steak was cooked as requested, but the flavor was just okay. The Brussels sprouts, however were excellent! My husband's salmon was a nice portion and was greater than 4oz, which he truly appreciated. He confirmed that the flavor was great too. Overall, great dinner, great drinks along with a friendly and prompt server which made this a great night out. Rating 5 stars because of the amazing meals I've had here over the years. I highly recommend!

If not a local,…read morehow many more looking for a twist on your American grill/steakhouse, might try you on for size? Owner's Yelp About Business info doesn't clue you in either that the Grille has Greek roots and menu influence. By digging to see the names Taras, Dimitri, and (Jim) Katsoutes, the original owner of Jim's downtown 1921 would you guess, and as a 3rd gen family business they obviously have a following. And after that buildup, just not us, albeit that we all ordered fish. With ribs in town, limiting the week's caloric uptake was a check for the ticker ;) Shrimp cocktail $21 comes with 1/2 doz long & large, grilled with a steak like pepper seasoning, ie Grecian, served warm in cold cocktail sauce edged by bibb lettuce that looks great in a stainless cocktail stem, but no one was eating haha. 3.75/5* but my BIL who is a local, person always gets. For him it's a 5. Greek Salad $24 with salmon aok but again BIL loves this place. Norwegian Salmon entree $27 was overcooked, ordered rare and blackened, and not spicy at all. Entree comes with 2 sides; hubby chose a side salad which was just blah spring greens, tomato, cuke and croutons, but a cloyingly sweet balsamic dressing didn't help either despite 3 lemon wedges. Better option would be if they offeres a Greek side salad. Mash, the other side was fine. 3.5/5* Halibut fresh catch of day $37 is about 6-7oz asked for chargrilled, it was more delicate like cod, lacking the flakey firmness and oilier flavor or halibut. Select your sauce: a Mediterranean-- feta roma red onion, but a light hollandaise? & bacon??..is that a TN thing to add bacon to everything lol. Or the Creole with Parmesan, again why add Cheese/fat to a sauce that should be perfect without? the Lemon Garlic is butter based so whileI hoped for 2 great sauces, I steered to a heart healthier olive oil & oregano blend on the side. But it was just kinda oily without fruitiness or burny polyphenols of EVOO; the Lemon wedge was best. Turnip Greens cooked with ham hock, was not noticeable--fine by me, cooked down to texture of canned spinach and not at all bitter. Liked this the best, shockingly lol. Really wanted to try the Grecian rice but it's cooked in yes, butter, that fat suck again sigh, with Chix broth topped with a tomato Greek spice. So stuck to a plain Baked Idaho tater dressed down skinny sans bacon n cheese. 3.5/5* Good pour of Sazerac Rye in Old Fashioned. Full glass of little rocks suck though vs the signature big block ice for pro's, that waters it too quickly and visually no comparison. 3/5* $14.42 ok, but sticker shock another $4.20 additional Liquor Tax for 2 drinks, damn. I am sure the full duty Hickory n Oak grilled Lamb Chops & steaks are great but nearing $60 I'd choose elsewhere based on our fish dishes, while edible were not worthy of the billing and nothing we'd crave, ditto for the sides. Too bad because the true Greek influence has been buttered, cheesed, and baconed out. Dining Room is busy and energetic which is always good, lots of waitstaff, moody medium and dark brown decor, quite inviting. Jason did a great job on our table, but the proof, not in this pudding today. Thanks anyway, now moving onto those Ribs, Charlie Vergos :D

Our darling Annalise server was extremely friendly. We loved the presentation of our dinner, but the octopus was a bit soft for our taste. I've had plenty of octopus in other cities and understand the dish is typically more expensive, but a small single mediocre tentacle is quite pricey for $28. I personally prefer a crispy and firmer chew for octopus. The scallops and shishito peppers were a delightful pairing. Valet parking shouldn't be forced upon the customer though? I felt bad that I don't carry cash to tip the valet, and valet is mandatory unless you want to park on the side streets and walk over. Do carry any cash! I wish that a portion of the parking lot was open for self parking though as those boys don't need to help out every guest who don't need valet and subjecting them to wait around for the boys to grab cars that we're perfectly capable of doing ourselves.

My boyfriend had his dish to the side, untouched and was trying to get anyone's attention to come by. The server did not return for another 15 minutes to check on the food. To make matters worse, when we asked to speak with a manager/owner, they refused to come to the table. Instead, we were told, "The manager said to just remove it from your bill." That level of disregard for customers is incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. I honestly don't understand how they expect to stay open. A service industry business that you refuse to treat seriously? Ridiculous. The service throughout the entire visit was just as poor. Our server was rude, inattentive, and spent most of the time avoiding tables, either hiding behind the kitchen door or standing at the server station. We ultimately had to get up ourselves just to pay. Overall, the experience was frustrating from beginning to end. Between the poor service, low-quality food, and lack of management accountability, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. If I could give it zero stars I would.

I had a fantastic espresso martini and the best brussel sprouts I've ever tasted! So I was excited to come try something else. On the plus side, the bathroom was so nicely decorated. It was also very clean. I sat at the end of the bar, beside the little section of books. The bartender was nice. I ordered the Ember&Passion cocktail. Although it was pretty good, it was quite mild. Unexpected with the ingredients in it. I was surprised that the level of expected heat was not very detectable. I give it 7/10. When I came here before in the winter, the temperature was perfect and I don't remember being too bothered that they don't have cocktail napkins. But yesterday it was quite warm in the restaurant and not having these napkins wasn't good. Nobody in the restaurant had any type of napkin under any drink! I noticed that just like mine, every glass of water from every patron had a puddle of condensation under the glass. Each time I picked up my glass of water, it would drip onto my food and clothes. My two menus got so wet. I suppose they made this decision to save themselves a lot of money. As for the food: My parmesan truffle fries were excellent!! Hot, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked in the middle. Best I've had in a long time. The Alabama white sauce on the side was just your typical sauce. It tasted just like every other Alabama white sauce that I've had so was not disappointing. But I actually ended up not using it because it was too thin and it didn't add anything to the fries. The fries were excellent enough on their own. I ordered my burger "pink" but there wasn't any pink to it, but I wasn't that bothered about it. Burger and the toppings were tasty, except for the fried green tomato. Looking closely at the picture, you can see that it was SO SMALL compared to the size of the burger. When a restaurant does that, don't they realize that it makes for a glaring disappointment?! It apparently came from near the end of the tomato, and not the middle. If you are going to offer a fried green tomato on a burger, then I feel as if you should only use the larger slices of the tomato, and save the smaller ends for maybe putting in salads. I've always been obsessed with fried green tomatoes. After having my first two bites of burger and still not reaching the tomato, I took it off to eat by itself. Sadly, it tasted terrible! I was surprised. Obviously, they didn't season the tomato or the batter. (Salt and pepper go a long way.) The burger toppings apparently made the tomato batter not only soggy, but also this strange thick texture. Like mushy and chewy at the same time. 1/10 Worst problem: FLIES!!! So many flies! When I just had my drink but no food yet, I noticed them but was not bombarded by them at that point. It wasn't until my food came. All of a sudden I was literally surrounded by them. They were everywhere! No exaggeration. I actually had to use only one hand to eat and the other hand to constantly move back and forth over my food. I eventually gave up and set the plate of some of my fries about 4 inches in front of my burger in order to hopefully draw the flies to the fries so that I could eat my burger. Unfortunately, after only four bites of my burger, when I set it down to take a drink of water, a fly landed on it within one second. Obviously, that was my last bite, and even when I was moving the plate closer to the end of the counter, two more flies landed on it. The glass of straws was inches from me. That, and the book closest to me seemed to be where they gathered to wait for their opportunity to dive bomb me. So many of them! It turned my stomach when I realized that I had been drinking from a straw with my water and I'm sure there had been flies on it before I got there. Every person that gets a straw in their drink at this restaurant has had a fly sitting on top of it. When the bartender told me about the desserts, it turned my stomach to think of just how many flies were in the kitchen. Had I known the fly situation was that bad when I first got my drink, I would have never stayed there, and I certainly would have never ordered food. I do think it is a real shame because the winter months are a totally different experience in that restaurant. But because of how horrible it was this time, I just can't ever come back.

I paid a $10 cover fee (Friday night) and walked straight towards the restrooms. I get to the restroom and the ladies bathroom has a sign that says out of order. I asked some girls that seemed to work there if there was another restroom I can use, and was told no & that I would have to use the men's restroom once the man that just entered comes out. I'm not using a men's restroom that has no lock on the door in an seedy establishment like this. I immediately walk back to the front and ask the lady for my $10 back. She waves over this heavier set light skin dude with small braids or locs, and I asked him for the refund. He said they don't do refunds yet there's no sign at the entrance that says that & even if there was I've been in the building for less than 5 minutes, so why couldn't they accommodate the request when it's their fault for not having a working women's restroom or unisex bathroom with a locked door. Y'all must be really desperate to treat customers this way - what a scam/waste of time
