Diane and I very much enjoyed our one dinner here the night we arrived at The Guest House at Graceland. The interior had the ambiance of rustic elegance, and great authentic Italian alta cucina is served here. Although several types of salad were available, including traditional Caesar Salad, I opted for with a refreshing Greek Salad with Feta Cheese and Vinaigrette Dressing, plus two large and clean Crab Cakes. Excellent complimentary Foccacia was also served. Then while Diane happily addressed her entree of Veal Parmigiano Alfredo, I had a memorable main of Veal Saltimbocca with thinly pounded and fork tender scallops of veal, accompanied by a side of Roasted Potatoes that we shared. My dish also came with Grilled Vegetables, Angel Hair Pasta, and a delicious Sweet Marsala Sauce. Service was excellent, with Parmesan splinters sprinkled on my veal upon request.

I'm so glad I found this place. I went for a friend's birthday dinner and of course I had to take a second trip back! Honestly, the first time I went I only had the crab cakes and a cocktail...strawberry lemonade drop to be exact. Everything was so good and from looking at others food I know I had to try it. My second go round, I was able to try more. I started out with the bread and dipping sauce. Then I tried the Margherita Pizza. It was super yummy and had a great mixture of ingredients. We also had the antipasto platter. It was good as well. On to the entrée and drinks! I had the Seafood Manicotti. It has pasta stuffed with crab meat baked in marinara sauce and topped with cheese, served with vegetables. It was really good as well. For my drinks I had one strawberry lemon drop and then a Sangria. I don't know what kind it was but it was green. The parking is not so good...that's the only thing I can think of, but not enough to keep me from going back, lol!

I was just passing thru Memphis and ordered carryout food from Marciano's. The food was absolutely delicious! When I placed the order by phone they were very helpful & professional. They had the food ready in the time they quoted (for my order it was only a 15-20min wait from the time I placed the order). It was hot & waiting for me when I arrived. We will definitely be going here again next time we drive thru Memphis! Next time I hope to dine in. Their ambiance is quite charming!

As always, my review is entirely based on my experience!! It was out first time coming here. I'll start with the service. Our waiter was nice and attentive. The place needs to seriously consider lightening it up. Is dark and gloomy inside. Is too depressing for my liking. Now the food, I ordered shrimp fettuccine. I had the impression that this place was authentic Italian, but it really is not. My jumbo shrimp were cooked to perfection. My pasta was more a gravy sauce consistency. And made with some mix of shredded Asiago cheese (I asked) and heavy cream!! It tasted like Olive Garden pasta. Nothing fancy or yummy!! My husband ordered the rack of lamb. It came with a red sauce. My husband said the red sauce was too acidic. Which I also thought their red pasta sauce was way acidic too. It might be a recurring theme here! And my last observation: I don't know why Italian restaurants in Memphis (not all) don't provide/have original parmesano reggiano cheese?? Next time I'm in the mood for good pasta I'll visit Andrew Michael' or Mary Catherine's. I'm still in the search for a good pasta place in the city!

We went here for our anniversary dinner and had an amazing meal. The service was outstanding. I would highly recommend trying out this restaurant. Wonderful, authentic Italian food. This is a wonderfully romantic restaurant.

Excellent service, nice quiet ambiance, and the food was delicious. Definitely will be a go to for Italian dishes from now on. The pesto was perfection. Seafood risotto was the chef's special for the day and an absolute hit. Pollo del Diablo was tasty as well.

We'd go 4 to 4.5 on the food. It was really good. But the service was toooooooooooo slow. We had to wait for everything except to get a seat (walked right in). I'd come back but for the food but I won't because I'm way too impatient. The complimentary bread was not that good. The waitress was super nice but I think she was the only one in the place.

Coastal Fish Company - Delicious

Coastal Fish Company is always a great spot for a romantic night out or a great dinner experience…read more For starters, we had the NOLA oysters, and they are probably my favorite oysters in Memphis. I love the sauce, and you can definitely tell the oysters are fresh. Next, we had the steak and mashed potatoes -- the steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The lobster bisque was my starter, and it was honestly one of the best I've had in a while. The only small disappointment was the dessert , pineapple upside down cake. It seemed a little overcooked because it had a slightly burnt taste at the bottom. Overall, the service is always 10/10, and I'd give the food a solid 9/10. Definitely one of my favorite places in Memphis for a quality dining experience. i'd like to come back again and watch the sunset from the patio.

I came to Coastal Fish Company for a special occasion after wanting to try it for years, and…read morehonestly the experience was really disappointing--especially the service. Our server was barely attentive to our table. She went around checking on other tables near us, but hardly came to ours at all. The only time she really interacted with us was when she brought the check. No follow-up, no asking how the food was, no drink refills--nothing. It honestly felt like we were overlooked the entire time. To make things worse, she wasn't even the one who brought out our food. Someone else dropped it off, and after that we were basically on our own. For a restaurant at this price point, I expected much more attentive and professional service. The food didn't make up for it either. I ordered the Chilean sea bass, and it was very underwhelming. The fish lacked flavor, the potatoes were soggy, and overall it just wasn't enjoyable. Definitely not what you expect for the price. Overall, between the inattentive service and the disappointing food, the experience just didn't live up to the hype at all.

How in the gash darn hell have I not written a review for The Half Shell Memphis?!?!?…read more I've been coming here since birth. Ok. Maybe not that long. Most definitely since I can remember. My parents had the blandest worst taste for food, so I was a depraved child as far as flavor was concerned. We ate at very blah places and my Mom was the pickiest person in the world, but.... She loved this fried shrimp! So we came here often. I grew up in Parkway Village so we were always nearby. Fast forward to my Yelp days. My first CM, Joelle had a part ownership of this place when I first started Yelping. We even had her going away party here when Yelp ruined the Memphis Elite Program with part time CM's for our city. She was part owner and we hung out there so it seemed inappropriate to write a review. Besides, I knew Danny pretty well too and that was also a conflict. Nowadays it's been bought by the folks that turned Forrest Hill Grill around. They have closed the location on Winchester (which I called years ago) and opened up in Germantown on Poplar. I have no idea who these people are so I guess it's time. I have not been to the new one, but I have seen the menu. I do not have any intentions of rushing to try it. Seems as if they butchered the whole dang menu. Anywho.... I still like this one. It's pretty run down, but the food is still good. It's still the original menu with all the treats. They have a freaking Monte Cristo sandwich folks! I know of less than five places left that still serve them. When is the last time you saw a twice baked potato? Here it is!! They still have a changing weekly, "daily special". They still have an intense regular bar business. Good luck getting a seat at the bar at any given time. Best of all they still have those damn tasty fried shrimp! Oh they are so good! The best ever man. The sauces they serve are great. I've been up and down the menu and it's almost always great. Oysters are some of the best charbroiled that there are anywhere in Shelby County. Long live OG Half Shell! Please never change! '25 - 44/111

My husband wanted to try this restaurant because it had gotten good reviews for its Cajun fried…read morerice. It was super busy when we got there so we were placed on a waiting list. No problem! There was a crawfish festival going on right outside its doors so I checked out some vendors while waiting. When our number was called I headed back to what was a literal zoo! It was so noisy that I couldn't converse with my husband. One customer (hyena) was talking and laughing so loudly from the back bar area that her voice carried to the front and startled me every time she opened her mouth. Just uncouth and inconsiderate. I had seen lots of people outside eating boiled crawfish that was pouring out of the styrofoam containers but my husband suggested I get it here. It was on the menu for $9/ 1/2lb and $15/lb but with a minimum pound order, and today bc they were competing with the festival, they upped the price to $20/lb. I had never had whole crawfish but it looked delicious from the outside vendors. I thought my husband was splitting the order with me but he ordered the Cajun fried rice and a grouper fish sandwich. He also ordered the soft shell crab appetizer. It was okay. It was 1 crab, maybe. I was so disappointed when my food arrived in a bag, especially then learning how to twist off the head of the crawfish and discovering there isn't much to them, so in essence it's a pound of useless head. I also thought the crawfish was bland and not worth the effort. Not the restaurant's fault that I didn't know better. My husband said the grouper upset his stomach and tasted like an oil sandwich. To make matters worse, we sat next to a table of 4 young people cursing and on a video call, 1 who made me hyper alert about my surroundings. I was just turned off by the environment and couldn't enjoy my food so I took the entire meal with us so my husband could eat it later. $80 bill for a meal we didn't enjoy and a loud and uncouth environment.

You order at the counter and seat yourself. They do supply the tools needed, bibs, gloves, and crackers. Each table has a big bowl which we assumed is for your shells. We ordered the Big Island Gold as it was perfect for the both of us. They were out of sausages so we did ask for extra shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection, even the potatoes. I'm guessing since it's an order and seat yourself kind of place, they don't really check up on you too often. For the most part this is good spot.

You have a choice of 3 butters and 3 types of seasoning. You pick one from each category. Liked that the seafood boil is served out of the bag. There was plenty of food in the bag. I did take half of the food home. Some of my family ordered the fried fish and shrimp. Everything had a great flavor. Service was good. You order your selection at the back counter then it is brought to the table. Ambience was standard diner like environment. The tables were sticky and some of the chairs were kind of rocky. The silverware was not as clean as we would have liked it to be. That was the biggest hiccup. The tartar sauce was not refrigerated. That was a concern. I will be back to order the food again but will need to bring my own Clorox wipes. Nit a problem since the food was tasty!!
