We went here for a family dinner and it was fabulous! Crystal was our server and she was friendly and observant. All the food was tender and flavorful! The beef tenderloin melted in your mouth! The bread was warm, soft, and addicting! The inside is very elegant with a relaxed atmosphere!

Diane and I very much enjoyed our one dinner here the night we arrived at The Guest House at Graceland. The interior had the ambiance of rustic elegance, and great authentic Italian alta cucina is served here. Although several types of salad were available, including traditional Caesar Salad, I opted for with a refreshing Greek Salad with Feta Cheese and Vinaigrette Dressing, plus two large and clean Crab Cakes. Excellent complimentary Foccacia was also served. Then while Diane happily addressed her entree of Veal Parmigiano Alfredo, I had a memorable main of Veal Saltimbocca with thinly pounded and fork tender scallops of veal, accompanied by a side of Roasted Potatoes that we shared. My dish also came with Grilled Vegetables, Angel Hair Pasta, and a delicious Sweet Marsala Sauce. Service was excellent, with Parmesan splinters sprinkled on my veal upon request.

I'm so glad I found this place. I went for a friend's birthday dinner and of course I had to take a second trip back! Honestly, the first time I went I only had the crab cakes and a cocktail...strawberry lemonade drop to be exact. Everything was so good and from looking at others food I know I had to try it. My second go round, I was able to try more. I started out with the bread and dipping sauce. Then I tried the Margherita Pizza. It was super yummy and had a great mixture of ingredients. We also had the antipasto platter. It was good as well. On to the entrée and drinks! I had the Seafood Manicotti. It has pasta stuffed with crab meat baked in marinara sauce and topped with cheese, served with vegetables. It was really good as well. For my drinks I had one strawberry lemon drop and then a Sangria. I don't know what kind it was but it was green. The parking is not so good...that's the only thing I can think of, but not enough to keep me from going back, lol!

As always, my review is entirely based on my experience!! It was out first time coming here. I'll start with the service. Our waiter was nice and attentive. The place needs to seriously consider lightening it up. Is dark and gloomy inside. Is too depressing for my liking. Now the food, I ordered shrimp fettuccine. I had the impression that this place was authentic Italian, but it really is not. My jumbo shrimp were cooked to perfection. My pasta was more a gravy sauce consistency. And made with some mix of shredded Asiago cheese (I asked) and heavy cream!! It tasted like Olive Garden pasta. Nothing fancy or yummy!! My husband ordered the rack of lamb. It came with a red sauce. My husband said the red sauce was too acidic. Which I also thought their red pasta sauce was way acidic too. It might be a recurring theme here! And my last observation: I don't know why Italian restaurants in Memphis (not all) don't provide/have original parmesano reggiano cheese?? Next time I'm in the mood for good pasta I'll visit Andrew Michael' or Mary Catherine's. I'm still in the search for a good pasta place in the city!

I was just passing thru Memphis and ordered carryout food from Marciano's. The food was absolutely delicious! When I placed the order by phone they were very helpful & professional. They had the food ready in the time they quoted (for my order it was only a 15-20min wait from the time I placed the order). It was hot & waiting for me when I arrived. We will definitely be going here again next time we drive thru Memphis! Next time I hope to dine in. Their ambiance is quite charming!

We went here for our anniversary dinner and had an amazing meal. The service was outstanding. I would highly recommend trying out this restaurant. Wonderful, authentic Italian food. This is a wonderfully romantic restaurant.

Excellent service, nice quiet ambiance, and the food was delicious. Definitely will be a go to for Italian dishes from now on. The pesto was perfection. Seafood risotto was the chef's special for the day and an absolute hit. Pollo del Diablo was tasty as well.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was clean. The food had good flavor, and I would consider ordering it again. Unfortunately, it was served only lukewarm instead of at the proper temperature, which took away from the overall experience. What stood out most, however, was the presentation of the restaurant. Upon entering, I was greeted by numerous handwritten paper signs and messages written on dry-erase boards throughout the dining area. For a restaurant with mid-range pricing, this came across as unprofessional and distracted from the dining experience. I was also surprised that there was no standard silverware available--only individually wrapped, inexpensive plastic forks and spoons. As I was leaving, I noticed several customers were being served their meals in takeout containers rather than on traditional plates, which further gave the impression of a casual takeout establishment rather than a dine-in restaurant. Overall, the friendly service and flavorful food were definite positives, but the food temperature and the overall presentation of the restaurant left me remembering why I rarely choose to dine at Red Pier. With a few improvements to presentation and attention to detail, the experience could better match the prices being charged.

The food is always fresh and if by chance there is an issue, they readily resolve to satisfaction. While my issues have been few and very far, I've witnessed a few "challenging" guests. They were handled them with dignity and professionalism. I appreciate being able to watch sports (especially basketball) while dining. The Southwest Cobb is my favorite, mainly because of the variety of vegetables and the level of freshness. If you like spice, the blackened shrimp has an excellent kick. If playing it safe (heartburn is real), simply ask them to go lighter on the blackened. Both the Poplar Ave and Cooper Young locations have an active security guard/lot attendant on the parking lots. There is such a relief in knowing that you don't have to anticipate a broken window or worse when returning to your vehicle. I give Soul Fish Cafe ! While they are known for the fried and blackened fish, the shrimp is always perfect. Quote me on that!

I got 15 pieces (they tell you on the menu) of standard sized shrimp for $18. I find this incredible because where I live that's maybe 7 pieces of shrimp. The shrimp is not small (smaller than butterfly but bigger than popcorn) and seasoned well. It came with fries and something, but they let me sub for fried okra and crab pasta salad. 2. My picky sis loved the okra. I was very pleased in general because it was a lot of okra and everything tasted good. But what you should take from this is my picky sis ate a few shrimp and okra and was very complimentary. Let's talk about the service. The place is a tight room that is all white besides the posted menus. Spartan is the right adjective. Anyway, they offered me a lil bag of popcorn for my wait because they know ppl get testy waiting for food. It's free popcorn and I thought a nice touch. My wait was probably 15 minutes and they have ordering online. I trust places with online ordering. They also take square and I think Apple Pay. Again, I am pleased. In summary, this is a great place that thinks about the small things but looks less welcoming than what it is. I've told several of my people to go. If you're like my sis and need lots of yelp reviews before trying a place, just go. It's good stuff. I certainly didn't expect to see a crab spot by my childhood home, but here we are.
