Not bad at all. This is a happening place for a good reason. The price is very reasonable. Come in for lunch on a week day that's $7.99. Come in during the weekend and the price is just over $10. Even if you're a picky eater, you're bound to find something you like considering the different kinds of dishes available. We went on Friday night and it was busy for a new place. Service: We were seated quickly and by the time we returned from our first trip, our drinks and silverware were already on the table. The servers bussed our tables quickly and would double check that we were done before they took dishes away. Seating: there is ample seating all over the restaurant. There is four big seating areas not including a party room set aside for those larger parties. This was a well thought out location. Setup: There were 6 standalone stations (salad, fruits/jello/pudding, appetizers, Chinese entrees, main entrees, and hot dishes) along with one 4 sided station (Mongolian grill, sushi, and desserts). Food: The chefs makes the Mongolian and sushi right in front of you and you can tip them so make sure to bring some cash. Since there were so many people, the other stations were constantly being refilled ensuring we were getting fresh food all night. Fruit/jello/pudding- the fruit was fresh and the jello was not at all watery like you expect from a normal buffet. Salad- not a completely traditional salad station as many were prepared cold salads but you can still make a small side salad if you want. Appetizers- all the small fried appetizers you can find in a Chinese restaurant from Fried dumplings, eggrolls, and even fried banana! There were a few non Asian options: potato wedges and chicken wings. Main Entrees- hot soups are available. These included ribs, pork chops, and salted crab legs (Fri and Sat). Hot Entrees- these were the crawfish, shrimp, stuffed mushroom caps, and more. Chinese entrees- this is where most of our favorites lie. Mongolian beef, general tsao's chicken, beef and broccoli, and so much more. Mongolian- while this is not as extensive as a normal Mongolian BBQ place it was still a good selection. I love that the meats were not frozen so you didn't need to become a food stacking master. Dessert- desserts were laid out as well as a soft serve machine for chocolate, vanilla and swirl. Be mindful it is close to the same ice cream you might receive at Benihana and not a traditional self serve you would normally get. Overall we were impressed with the service, quality of food, price, and how packed this place is for being open less than a month. We ordered a delivery East Buffet today and it was so terrible we had to throw it away and reorder new take out. We wasted over $50 but we're still hungry. Our order was egg rolls, wanton soup, donuts, beef broccoli, Lo mein, chow mein and fried rice. The wanton soup was just an oily broth and doughy wanton with some kind of gross meat. The chow mein, was just steamed vegetables- there were no noodles. The beef broccoli had chewy inedible beef that had WAY TOO MUCH SAUCE. In fact everything was just loaded with sauce and that sauce was all over everything inside the bags they delivered the food in. It was awful. Egg rolls=gross, lo mein = gross. The donuts were the only thing I had a few of. I'll blame my boyfriend for ordering take out from a buffet, but in his defense I don't think he knew it was actually a buffet. Ha. I was craving Chinese food and decided to give this place a try. Do not go there unless you are into mediocre Chinese food. I should have drove a bit further to 99 ranch and eat at their fast food joint. 1st rule of Chinese food. DO NOT EAT SUSHI. My bf failed at following that rule and one bite in he almost threw up. It looked like normal sushi that been sit out for too long but per bf it was rotten. They did have a lot of hot food on display. Most of them was just meh nothing stand out. On entering the building you are greeted by very friendly staff. The place is very clean and the food options are really good. You have some very healthy items to choice from if you are looking to balance out your meal. The Thai chicken was really good so I took a 2nd sample. The Mongolian grill area looked very appetizing, next trip. The only thing I didn't really care for was the egg drop soup, it wasn't bad just not to my liking of egg drop soup. Willing to try it again on the next trip. Over all this is one of the better buffet places that I have been too. I don't go to stack on the food onto one plate to see how much I can eat. Food is great. Lots of selections. The price is lower than any other buffet place in town. But I just heard from one of my friend who know how to speak Chinese. They say that cook in Mongolian pan curses and extremely trash talks to customers in Chinese when you want him to pan fry your materials. And my friend explain to me that he wants us to tip him. But I mean seriously, we usually tip after we finish the meal, besides we always bring cards not cash to eat a buffet. I can understand the cook want to get some tip, but the restaurant can not require only cash just like all Chinese or Mexican dudes always did. I usually tip 3 dollars in this restaurant which I believe it's appropriate number. But what that cook did is really rude and unprofessional. This restaurant is so sketchy. Why do they not have a locatable website. If you can search for buffet prices online, you will find lower prices for this East buffet. When you get to the restaurant prices for the buffet are much higher! The restaurant has their buffet prices on the wall behind you, so you cannot see them when you walk in. If you get coupons in the mail just know that even if there are no restrictions on them, they will make up reasons why you cannot use them. Very deceptive. read more

Yo this place needs to be reported to the health department. I know someone who worked here and they told me all the nasty crap this restaurant does. Management pulls out anything with a shell on it (crab legs, crawl fish...) from the trash can and will wash it and put it back on the buffet cause they are cheap. My favorite part was the Mongolian part, very tasty, although I wish the egg had been cooked more and chopped into the other ingredients! The sushi was good, but not great! I got one of each, but didn't go back for more and I love sushi. All of the seafood dishes were tasty, except the crawfish. My daughter and I visited Austin due to her having a job interview. I was looking online for seafood and happen to come across this restaurant. I was skeptical st first because back home (Charlotte) a lot of the similar restaurants are not good at all. This restaurant was totally different. Upon walking I notice the cleanliness. I even mentioned it aloud and before I knew it the host thanked me for the compliment. The food was really good and fresh. The counters on the buffet were really cleaned. Any spills or droppings were cleaned up immediately. The cooks kept the Buffett stocked and they were very friendly and helpful when inquiring about certain items. I wanted to stay in town until Friday for the AYC Crablegs, but we had to leave. I will definitely be back again and I have recommended it to everyone in the hotel! read more
