I came to this place twice last week to give it a fair try. On my first visit, I ordered the Beijing Duck and Beef Crispy Noodle. The duck was good and I did enjoy it, but for the price, it felt more like a once-in-a-while dish rather than something I'd regularly order. The beef crispy noodle had a good sauce and tasted similar to what I'm used to, which I liked. However, there was barely any beef, and the pieces were cut very small. I decided to come back again because I was craving Asian food. Unfortunately, the second visit was disappointing. The Sizzling Steak dish was not worth the price at all - there was very little beef, and it felt like they added a lot of onions to make up for it. The onions were barely cooked and lacked seasoning, which made the dish pretty sad overall. The Beef Pan-Fried Flat Noodle was just okay. It was very plain and not seasoned, but I did enjoy the noodles themselves - the thin flat noodles had a nice texture. Service was decent overall. The waiter who took my order was friendly. The lady who brought out the food did raise her voice when I asked a question about the flat noodles, which caught me off guard, but I chalked it up to an "aunty vibe" and didn't take it personally. The restaurant was kind of cold inside, but got slightly better when we were moved to the side further away from the door. Unfortunately for us, there were multiple large parties being annoyingly loud. I now understand my dad's frustration with that aspect of dining out. If you're looking for authentic Chinese food, this place is always a local staple. I haven't been here in such a long time, but you know the food is good when by 6pm the entire restaurant is full, and there are a bunch of asians in an asian restaurant. My friend and I came on a weeknight and it was still extremely busy, we both ordered some Jasmine Tea along with two entrees. A combination noodle dish and the walnut shrimp which were both delicious. The portion sizes are really large and they serve you at least 5 servings of rice. So be prepared for leftovers. The service staff is pretty pushy to get you out after a certain time frame since they try to turn the tables as fast as possible. If you don't mind that and just want some good authentic chinese food this is a great spot! read more

Nothing comes close even the high dollar overrated trendy Asian spots down town. It is real authentic and is tucked away in an Asian market strip mall. One of the oldest and best. Had not been back here for a while but needed some good authentic Kimchee. After picking up few things in the Asian mart I saw the restaurant and the ducks. My stomach growled and being on keto all week I figured treat myself to some good fat duck meat. My favorite poultry. We went for a family Easter meal. Our waiter was rude to us with eye rolling and huffing and puffing if we asked questions or showed how upset he was if we changed our meal choice while ordering. We were surprised how outwardly annoyed he was. Clearly he was in a hurry and expected us to be experts at ordering from their menu which we were not. It really ruined the joy of the meal. We went on Saturday at 4:30pm to avoid the rush, and it was the perfect time to go. The parking lot here was already crowded, so it's better to go a little earlier so you don't have to wait. Our group of 5 split the Peking Duck! It was very tasty with crisp skin, and they served little bao-like buns on the side with the scallions and sauce. Absolutely delicious. We also got a few other things to share, family style: honey walnut shrimp (always tasty), the garlic pork, Gai lan (Chinese broccoli) with oyster sauce, and the Chinese mushroom and baby Bok choy. I got the crunchy vegetable noodles and the three meat plate. The sauce on the noodles was amazing and there was plenty of fresh vegetables on the plate. My three meat plate consisted of BBQ pork, duck, and crispy pork. I recommend the bbq pork and crispy pork to everyone, if you've never had duck I would choose another meat. I personally love duck, but it is more gamey and you have to eat around the bones. The service was very attentive and the food comes out pretty quick. Nothing I had on their menu was ever bad, but I'm very partial to the roasted chicken and roasted pork. Portion is always generous, and they always gave me to-go boxes without even me asking. They are also very welcoming and warm! Like that one time they're 5 min away from closing (I know I know), so I asked if they're still open, and they welcomed me in and just told me that some dishes are gone. The vibe is very casual, which is 80-90% of what I'm looking for when I eat out. It feels very homey, but best of all, seems clean and brightly-lit. Here with an update for Din Ho from a takeout perspective: Ordering takeout is very quick and easy. We got our entire order done over the phone and it was ready within 20 minutes, even with it being quite busy when we went in to pick it up. Parking is pretty easy to find since it's right in a shopping center. The person at the front was quick to see us and help us out in picking up our food. The food was still hot and steaming even though by the time we sat down to eat it it had been almost 40-50 minutes after ordering. We ordered plain lo mein, beef and broccoli, potstickers, and a large white rice. All were good. The beef and broccoli was flavored well with perfectly velvetized beef and good firm broccoli in a savory sauce. The potstickers were good, although they felt like a hybrid of a steamed and fried dumpling, simultaneously a bit crunchy but soft, the filling was good though. The plain lo mein was good, the portions pretty filling on it and the noodles just the right amount of firm. Steamed rice was fluffy and soft, a big portion of it as well too. Altogether from ordering to pickup to eating, our takeout experience at Din Ho was great and definitely gives it a bump up to a 4 star. read more

Wanted some Cantonese Chinese food so tried this place out. The bbq pork plate was decent. The soy duck was just as it should be and very juicy, and the roasted pork skin was perfectly crunchy (but some pieces were dry, while others were succulent 7.7/10. Beef chow fun was almost really good, the noodles were terrific and had really wonderful wok hay flavor, but the beef was pretty hammered 6.7/10. Egg plant and pork dish was good and pretty typical 8/10. Fried flounder was ok, needed more of the soy sauce sauce 6.8/10. My husband and I were first brought here by a friend of his in 1998 and we have been steady customers since then. Seating options include the normal 2 and 4-top tables, but they also have several large tables with lazy suzans for larger groups. Let's get to the menu, the crab meat/white asparagus soup is an excellent starter, and you can get your veggies with sauteed snow pea leaves or Chinese broccoli. The Fried Golden Bean Curd is a nice, crispy departure from normal tofu dishes, it also has a really good shrimp flavor to it. In addition, they have plenty of seafood fare, including Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Walnut Shrimp, Seafood Crispy Noodle and even Lobster and Abalone (these two a bit more expensive, but worth it, when available). Chicken dishes include Sesame chicken and General Tso (spicy versions available), two of my favorites! This is, after all, a BBQ joint, and their selections will not leave you hungry. Pork is offered two ways, with both meaty Char SIu and roasted Pork Belly. I know some people find it greasy, but I'm an avowed duck fiend, and their roast Duck is a crispy-skinned confection that has few competitors (it's all in the sauce, baby)! Ordered fried wontons, assorted bbq and a veggie delight to share and it was delicious. The veggies were the perfect crisp-tender and vibrantly colorful. While delicious, there were only a few mushrooms and the bulk of the veggie was cabbage and broccoli. They bring out the food as it's ready instead of waiting for your order to be complete which meant that everything came out piping hot.
