This place was open on a very cold day pre-freeze and it was very slow inside except some takeout pickups happening. We got LA galbi and kimchi jjigae. The lady that was working that day was very sweet and friendly, we got our food pretty quick and got to enjoy it with no rush. Everything tasted excellent and the side dishes were great! Actually one of the best kimchi side dishes I've had at a restaurant. Als loved the fact that they were playing some Korean food YouTube shows on the projectors this was fun!

I was craving healthy food that didn't have a lot of bells and whistles and felt a little like home. Then I found ZZIM Korean Grill. It is a no-frills menu, but they know how to cook food with the few dishes that are actually on the menu. I ordered the tengjianchigue and it was so glad that I did because it tasted clean, I felt like it was cleansing my body, it wasn't too overpowering with the smell that fermented soy beans can give you, but it was really nice. Well executed dish. My coworker order a barbecue and scarfed it down in two seconds. He was really impressed with the flavors. I can't wait to come back again.

Really good Korean spot that was open the day before the freeze. The kimchi they had was one of the best I've had. Nice place to get soup on a cold day. All the main dishes are also great. I would like to come back and try some more. Service here was also great.

I've been to Korean Grill but I heard they are under new management now so decided to revisit. I appreciate that you can get complimentary hot tea-my husband and I love tea! We both got soup dishes. I got seollantang and he got dwenjang. I am not a tofu lover so I cannot speak much for the dwenjang other than the portion looked really small compared to mine. I like the seolleongtang for its clear broth. There are a lot of noodles and beef inside. I recommend it for a healthy, comfort meal! I'm surprised they don't have a typical Korean dish like yukgaejang though. Staff are friendly and helpful. I felt welcomed and comfortable dining in. I'm not sure how long the restaurant has been around but it seems older than other Korean restaurants I've been to. The restrooms are kinda dirty and the sinks are stained. I like banchan (the side dishes) but wish there was more variety. You may refill on banchan and rice. I think it's worth a visit, but the dishes are overpriced and menu needs more variety.

Not much in the way of atmosphere, it's pretty much your stereotypical low end strip mall restaurant inside, but the food was really good. Service was decent but not great, they did mention they were short-handed though so it might usually be better. Definitely worth trying out, we were both really impressed by the food.

Came here for a late dinner and ordered a bunch of things: LA Galbi, Spicy Pork Bulgolgi, Corn Cheese, Samgyup Kimchi, and also got a complimentary Chadol Dwenjang. I was expecting the food quality to be a bit better since the reviews all seem stellar, but maybe my expectations were too high. Nothing was amazing, but everything tasted good. I'd rate the food overall 3/5. The best thing was probably the corn cheese lol. But service was 5/5! Our waiter was so sweet and attentive and even made a special spicy sauce for us.

The food was pretty yummy here! Bulgogi is savory and tender, the kimchi stew is hot and filling for the heart, and the chicken is crispy and juicy. The wait for the food wasn't that bad except for the fried chicken - everything else was pushed out within 15 minutes while the fried chicken took 30 minutes. Not too much of a complaint though , as it was a busy day. The service was good, just a little hard to understand the system of the restaurant. (Find your own seat? Order at the front? How to pay?) Ambiance was fine, just like any other restaurant. Restrooms were questionable but that's how you know the food is gonna be good haha. Side dishes were good - nicely marinated radish and kimchi. I do prefer my kimchi stew very sour and spicy so if you are the same, just take my review as a warning that their kimchi stew is a bit laid back. Otherwise, good place with yummy food!

One of the few places in Austin where you can find goochang, and they do it so well. The sauces are excellent, and the side dishes are amazing. They were fresh, flavorful, and leaning slightly on the sweeter end, which I personally loved. The spicy pork is perfectly balanced with sweet, savory, and umami, and impressively, the quality holds up even for takeout. The owner is incredibly sweet, he works with his wife and other family members. Their hospitality is genuine. They are so appreciative of their customers, always so welcoming and smiling. It truly feels like a family run spot that puts heart into every dish. I really hope more people go and support them. I'll definitely be back to try their soup dishes next time!

Absolutely delicious restaurant! Was recommended to go here with a friend group and the pricing and portion sizes are so great/affordable! The staff is super sweet and the service is quick!

I've been to the "old" Korea Grill when they had the old owners and really loved coming. I was sad to hear they had closed and gotten new owners but I was curious to see how the new owners have changed it. I will say I was a little disappointed but the menu I wish they had a bit more options. If I remember correctly there were a good amount of meat options to grill but nothing too special. The staff was extremely kind and very knowledgeable as dishes came out they explained what everything was. The side dishes were good as well, their kimchi is not spicy at least the day I went, for once I felt like the kimchi was more sweet than spicy which I thought was interesting. Overall I enjoyed my visit just like if it was the old KG, can't wait to come back.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to see that the place had been renovated. We ordered the corn cheese and the Galbi Zzim. The corn cheese came out first as an appetizer and we really enjoyed it. The owner Sung took the time to explain to us what the Galbi Zzim was so we had to get it. Let me tell you it was by far some of the best beef ribs I've had in a Korean spot in town. We're very happy with the new ownership and will be coming back

Absolutely fantastic Korean restaurant! The service was excellent. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive. The portions were generous for the price, and everything we ordered tasted amazing. The seafood pancake was crispy and flavorful, the galbi jjim jjim was tender and rich, and the seolleungtang soup was comforting and perfectly seasoned. They just opened, and I highly recommend!

The food was outstanding and I loved the authentic Korean flavor. I was transported to a Kpop Demon Hunter movie. I could practically hear the songs "Golden" and "Soda Pop" playing in my head as I bit into a juicy piece Galbi Tang. It was amazing and I ascended mentally into Korean Seventh Heaven. I would absolutely recommend this place for any foodie like me. The service people were super nice; I had a crush one of the beautiful waiters.

As a…read moreKorean American who's spent a lifetime eating great Korean food at home and in restaurants, my standards are high. That said, this was easily the best Korean meal I've had in Austin, and honestly, it might be the best I've had in Texas. The soondubu arrived absolutely piping hot. I ordered the mushroom version, and it was packed with a wide variety of mushrooms rather than just a few token pieces. Even when ordered spicy, the broth still had incredible depth and flavor that wasn't just heat for the sake of heat. The tteokbokki was addictive. We ended up adding cheese and ramen, which took it to another level. The marinated kalbi was equally impressive: high-quality meat with very little fat and generous portions. The banchan was also top-tier. Standouts included the soy-glazed potatoes, fresh kimchi, and japchae. They also serve purple rice, which has a wonderful chewy texture and feels like a more thoughtful alternative to standard white rice. The food alone would bring me back, but the service was excellent as well; friendly, attentive, and efficient. We came for an early dinner and got seated right away, but if you're planning to come during peak dinner hours, expect a wait. The locals clearly know this place is something special. Huge parking lot and the dining area is bright and airy, even playing the world cup games. Seems to be very family friendly.

The cold noodles had a great taste, but were not served with any accompaniment except some ginger. The six pieces of galbi we ordered included one piece that was purely gristly and bone. We had a pretty uncomfortable table wedged between a large family dinner and the server station, blocked from the windows by a giant wall.

We didn't get a single bad cut and everything was flavorful and cooked well. What really made this place stand out though was the service. MJ took care of us and was incredible from start to finish. Since it was our first time, she walked us through the menu and even helped cook the meats so we could actually relax and enjoy our time together. She stayed on top of the grill, swapping it out right when needed, and was always checking in to see if we needed anything or wanted more banchan. What stood out the most was how thoughtful she was with my parents. She made sure they had food on their plates without overdoing it, which was such a small detail but meant a lot. The food was great, but MJ really made the experience. Definitely coming back.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and such positive energy. The welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and chill vibe made us feel right at home. Every dish we ordered was outstanding and packed with flavor. The seafood pancake was cooked to crispy perfection, something that's surprisingly hard to find, as it's often left a bit doughy at other restaurants. The steamed egg was light, fluffy, and comforting, while the spicy tofu pork soup was phenomenal. It had just the right amount of heat, with silky, melt-in-your-mouth tofu and incredibly tender pork belly that paired perfectly with a bowl of rice. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. At one point I accidentally dropped my chopsticks, and before I could even ask for another pair, one of the servers noticed from across the restaurant and immediately brought me a new set. It's those small, thoughtful touches that really set a restaurant apart. SOHA exceeded my expectations in every way. Narrow Street 512 serves up Authentic Korean food with a personal touch. It feels like you're eating a home cooked meal at your Aunt's home in Korea. I experienced Narrow Street as a solo diner. My go-to dish I order 90 percent of the time I go there is the Chadol Plate (A3). It is beef brisket. You normally need to go to a KBBQ spot and get covered in a layer of smoke. Skip smelling like a campfire and get A4 at Narrow Street. The beef brisket comes with rice served in a metal bowl. You get 3 or four small plastic containers of banchan the rotates seasonally. There is a variety of different kimchi, fish cake, corn slaw, potato salad and more. Once in a while I like to switch it up and I order the Cold Noodles (F1) or squid and pork stir fry (A4). The cold noodles are refreshing with crisp cucumber, white radish kimchi, and korean pear. The noodles are bouncy with a nice chew. Great in Summer and Winter. The Squid and pork stir fry comes with a bowl of rice and it is quite spicy. It is spicier than average but still less spicy than Thai chili. The chewy squid and pork are nicely complemented with the crunchy stir fried cabbage. Once you taste it you can't stop eating it. The price at Narrow Street very reasonable for what you get in my opinion. It is sit down restaurant quality food in a fast casual setting. You can dine solo or go in a big group as there is plenty of seating at the Hmart Food court. You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to alert you to go pick up your trays of food. I am going to focus more on the cooked items as most people here already gave their review on the sushi. Hangover ramen, not too bad. It is like Shin Ramen Instant Noodles with a lighter flavor, nice touch with the bean sprout as it is a needed texture element. Add the gyoza into it and it makes it even better.
