The steak was to die for! I love my sandwich, too. BUT, our service was horrible. It took him 15 minutes to even bring us the check at the end. He acted like we were bothering him by asking the third time. None of us dressed up, so the waiter obviously thought we were poor and wouldn't tip well (2 engineers and a doctor-not really the case). He even kind of acted like we were stupid when we asked questions about the food/menu. So, we still gave 20% when it really should have been much, much less. We have ate at almost every restaurant in legacy west and finally decided to eat here and it did NOT disappointment. I would give the overall score of this restaurant 8.9/10. Drinks were excellent. Food was incredible starting with the appetizer to the entrees. Ambiance was great. Menu was super diverse and there were so many things we wanted to try. Then, a long wait for the food but during which, servers kept trying to deliver food and drinks to our table but it was not our orders- I can understand once, but during our entire meal....need a better system or update the table numbers. Went to Earls with a two other couples on an early Friday evening. Nice atmosphere. They had not started getting busy yet. We started off with a drink at the bar while waiting for our other guests. Nice craft cocktails. We were seated at a nice long table. Our two other couple friends ordered shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. We ordered a couple of rounds of cocktails while waiting. We then ordered dinner. Our friends split steak/lobster dinners. We had individual pizza and tacos. Pizza was ok. The tacos were ok. They came with chips and salsa. When it came time to check out we asked that our server split our bill into the three individual couples. After 3 attempts, our bills were never correct. This restaurant is at a prime corner of the bustling Legacy West. My family and I had the pleasure of having brunch here today and were not disappointed. The outdoor seating at this restaurant is comfortable, chic and plenty. It's great for people watching as people walk by. I loved the marble tables and the beautiful breezy weather in the sun. Our server was very polite and accommodating. To start we had the elote avocado dip which was fantastic. I loved the slight char on the corn, the tartness of the feta crumbs, crunch of the radish and creaminess of the avocado. A textural and flavorful heaven. For entrees we ordered the breakfast burger, the chicken and waffles, and the tuna bowl. The fried chicken was absolutely amazing - fried perfectly, succulent on the inside and spicy and marinated all the way. The honey drizzled on top was fantastic. My only complain is the waffle - it was too dry on the outside and borderline crispy and crunchy. I would have also loved to see softened butter on the plate alongside the syrup. My cousin, who had the tuna described her dish as super fresh with a textural element of the wonton strips, as well as creamy with the sauce and the fresh cooked rice. The breakfast burger was pretty standard. My cousin ordered a side of hollandaise sauce which she thought was delicious. I especially loved the italian spritz mocktail which was a bubbly grapefruit drink on ice which I enjoyed very much. It was super refreshing for brunch on a sunny, breezy day. My fiancée and I had a reservation at 11:30 PM on Valentine's Day. We arrived early and were seated ahead of schedule, which was a good start. We were placed in the main dining area and had Dale as our server. Initially, the service was fine, but it quickly went downhill. We ordered two Earls Margaritas, which were way too sour--they tasted more like lemonade than an actual margarita. For appetizers, we got the chorizo queso dip and truffle fries, which were both pretty good. However, after finishing the appetizers, we had to wait to order our entrées, which was frustrating. My fiancée ordered the Baja tacos, which were disappointing--two small pieces of fish that were mostly batter and overloaded with cabbage. I ordered the Steak and Sushi, choosing the 7 oz peppercorn filet with the wagyu sushi, and unfortunately, both lacked flavor. Service took another hit during the main course. Our server only checked on us once, and he wasn't even the one who brought out our meals. We wanted another drink and a water refill, but he was nowhere to be found--so we never got either. After finishing our meal, we waited 15 minutes just to get the check. For a total of $170 after tip for two people, I would not recommend this place. I understand it was Valentine's Day, but the main dining area was not busy at all, so there was no excuse for the poor service. This would be a last resort restaurant for me--and even then, I'd rather go somewhere else. read more

We had a party of about eight people and it took us about two hours to get our food which is ridiculous, and when the food came out, the food was cold. I had to send back my ravioli to be warmed up because it was too cold, and even when it came back out, it was not hot enough. I decided just to eat at the ravioli it's all had a wonderful labor. The chicken breast fillet was so dry I almost choked. I was like why?? I was looking forward to this plate so much and I was so disappointed We had a bottle of Prosecco which was fine and I had a glass of 8 oz 20+$ glass of a pinot noir. I hope they bring some of their old menu dishes back and hopefully if they are going to have extremely high prices they could math the quality of the food. This is a fantastic hangout but when you pay 55$ for just one entree and a glass of wine you expect everything to be simply amazing. This was not the case last night. This was my second time here and both times have been a pretty good experience. I've ordered the poke bowl both times because I've yet to find a better poke bowl. The portion sizes are huge and the flavors are even bigger. I ordered a cocktail which was surprisingly tasty and they don't short you on the alcohol - but at the same time, it wasn't overwhelming. Overall, it was very well balanced. The bartender was engaging and fun but was still taking care of everyone else at the bar. This is a pretty good place to watch a game as they have large TVs stationed all around the bar area. I'd go back just for the poke bowl and general chill experience. I came here with my boyfriend for his birthday, which so happened to be Valentine's Day. We were so excited when we came in, the host and hostess were so welcoming and nice and wished him a happy birthday. We instantly thought our experience would be amazing for him. Although, I was wrong. From the beginning, our server took a while to greet us and did not acknowledge his birthday. I have worked in food service and know that the host print out a paper to always makes sure that the servers know what guest are celebrating, and what type of event they are. After dinner, we asked our server if we could see a dessert menu for his birthday, and she quickly showed us a menu. We tried to acknowledge to her that it was his birthday and that he wanted to celebrate with you guys. She did not wish him a happy birthday and seemed to act like she didn't believe that his birthday was on Valentine's Day. She made a comment like, "Wow, a birthday on Valentine's Day..." with sarcasm. She then quickly walked away. We had previously seen another dessert that had a candle and a sparkler that was given to another guest that also said "Happy Birthday." Since we saw this, we then pulled her aside and asked if the birthday dessert was a set dessert or a dessert from the menu because we saw that the previous dessert was nothing like the ones on the menu. She then avoided the question and basically tried to have us pay for the ones on the menu. I explained to her that we wanted to celebrate his birthday and just get whatever the birthday dessert was. Then, whenever he was greeted with the birthday dessert that you guys have set, it looked like a two-bite dessert, did not have a candle nor a sparkler like we had previously seen, and only said "Happy Birthday." The guy who greeted him with the dessert, who was not our server, did say happy birthday but kept acknowledging that it was on Valentine's Day in a sarcastic tone, like he did not believe us. We left Earl's disappointed in the way that we were treated. After I paid for the dinner, I did a custom tip (due to the rude behavior we experienced), and she did not say thank you for us celebrating or even say bye, but instead just completely walked away.
