I have given this place a few chances already, and I think I'm done with this place. The first two times I went they did a great job on my pedi and gel mani, and now they rush through the whole visit. And because of that my gel mani, which is supposed to last a couple weeks, start breaking and pealing right before the week. Today I went in and the lady who did my pedi barely scrubbed my feet and my gel mani is see-through. Should be the same color as my toes and it's about 2 shades lighter. 1 star for the simple fact that they were able to do my nails at 5pm on a Saturday. I came in for a fill and color change. Walked out paying $35 included tip for a terrible nail job. The manicurist was quick but she left all the bubbles in the world on my nails. Honestly, they had no one in the shop when I came in she didn't have to zip through the processes. What killed it the most is that she cut down my nails when I had never requested it nor did she ask me! Ugh! read more

I had a great first experience at Dublin Nails. I am not a nail salon snob by any means but I do judge by the quality of their polishes and massage. They use mostly OPI polish and had two large spinning displays to choose from. The massage was so good. The best I have had in a very long time. My god daughter liked her massage so much she fell into a deep sleep and had to be carried back to the car. Their prices are just below average. They were busy for a Thursday around 2pm but not too busy to get my god-daughter and myself seated after choosing our colors. First time I went here for mani and pedi cure. I also wanted to have manicures for my daughter who is going to go to high school this fall, but both of us were so disappointed. Except the owner or manager, two ladies who is for us can't even speak basic English so really hard to communicate. I had bleeding on my nails and didn't really care about that. The price was higher than what we talked on the phone. Bad service and no communication and lack of care, I won't go back here again for sure. Don't recommend this place at all. A decent, run-of-the-mill nail salon. The mani/pedis are pretty cheap at $28 a pop. They definitely take their time and seem very meticulous -- which I like. The leg and arm massage were really long -- which I also like. It could have been the time of day I went (4:00pm on a weekday), but they weren't too busy and seemed very attentive. My favorite nail salon! I've been coming to Dublin nails for years and there's a good reason why-- their customer service is superb! They are so attentive and care about your opinions SO MUCH. They will ask very often if the nails are looking exactly the way you want them to look. If something isn't right, they will fix it for you right away! If you have something in mind, then bring in a picture and they will replicate it for you! Only one bad thing is that their nail polish section is limited. They're overall very thorough with their mani/pedi here. They're very gentle for the most part, especially if you let them know about a problem area. And of course the prices are fantastic! The only negative thing I would say about Dublin Nails is that they're not the friendliest group, but they definitely do a good job. I would recommend Miems(sp?), the shorter man that's there. He does the BEST french pedis, and makes sure every toe nail looks great. He does take longer than the others because of this, so make sure you have about an hour or so to spare, but his pedis last longer than the others. And he's by far the nicest even though he doesn't talk too much. His facial expressions say it all! read more

I just realized I left a 5 star review for this place, and never updated after my last two fills here. You'll get decent service. You'll get decently quick service. But they'll charge you an arm and a leg and you'll never get consistent pricing, which is what bother me most. You'll also inconsistent service. I make a point to go to the same manicurist every time once I like the product of one, but after 3 great fills, 1 okay fill, 2 pretty sad fills in a row by the same manicurist, I stopped coming back. I stopped feeling comfortable here, maybe it's because I'm fairly picky with my shape and frequently want a design? Either way, it's a bummer to feel judged when you just want to feel pretty. I tip well for good service and a good product, so there's really no reason to get crap in return. read more

I'm from out of town and I needed to get my acrylics done so I came here. I had to wait a little while until I was helped (didn't bother me much). The whole process took about half the time it usually does which makes me think they weren't very thorough. One of my nails cracked before he even started putting the acrylic power on. A lady came in and had booked an appointment with the man doing my nails. So he kept working on me until she threatened to leave then he passed me on to another girl. I asked for square with round corners which he didn't do so I asked the second women to do it and she did a great job. My biggest issue is that the nails are crooked. This is probably the cheapest place you can get your nails done in this area. I recently moved to San Ramon and every nail salon is OVER-PRICED. They did a decent job. For my pedi, they took a good amount of time massaging me, which I liked. For my mani, it was alright, nothing spectacular. The ladies who painted my nails did a mediocre job. Hey All, I had been searching for a fantastic nail salon in the East Bay since I moved here almost two years ago. Two of my girlfriends from work had told me about Dublin Nail. And even though I reside in San Ramon, I figured a 10 minute trip to Dublin wouldn't kill me. (Especially after trying EVERY salon in San Ramon/Danville to no success.) I was told to ask for Ben or Nancy when I arrived and I was immediately seated at Ben's station. (Which I have been told, and found out for myself over time, is rare.) He made great small talk and my nails were the best I'd seen them in years! In a second attempt at going, Ben was unavailable. So I asked for Nancy. Again, the quality of the gel set was fantastic. She did everything I asked for with a great smile and cracked jokes with me. I've also had pedicures done here. Both the pedicure AND the full gel set (with glitter tips occasionally for fun!) last well over 3 weeks. The nails don't lift and the paint doesn't chip. Overall, I think this place is amazing! Nancy and Ben are fantastic and everyone else is very friendly. I'll be going to Cancun in a week and you bet I'll be getting a full set and french pedi done there before I go!! read more

So I read some of the reviews for this place, and I think whether you love it or hate it really depends on the technician you get. I've been coming here for over a year, and always make an appointment with the same couple people. I moved to SoCal recently, and haven't found a place that gives a better mani/pedi, and for the $25 price too! I still come in for a mani/pedi when I'm in town, cause it's the best. My advice - definitely try this place, but expect you may have to try a few people before finding the right technician for you. But once you find the right person for you, just keep making appointments with the same person and you will love this place. The place itself has good space, nice massage chairs and TV's, and most of the girls I've had have given a good leg and hand massage. They're also pretty nice and friendly, even if they don't speak great English. Just be super clear about what you want, and ask questions if you aren't sure they understood. Oh yea - also, I tend to bring my own nail polish because they don't have a large selection of OPI, which is what I prefer. (I already have a large selection at home.) They are happy to use whatever you bring. Honestly, no matter what salon you go to, I'd suggest just starting your own collection of polish at home, as I haven't seen a place yet that cares for their polish collection very well. read more

She was too interested on the monkeys on the television to notice that she had cut my toes nails too short. I mean I like hobbits but that doesn't mean I want to be one. My friends all love this place, but every time I go (every 3 months) I always wonder why I have given it another chance. I don't think I will go back now after my last experience. Some memorable moments- having the man tell me that I could do my own glitter coat at home, chipping in 3 days, gel manicure that lifted in 2 days as it was on my skin, and most recently a pedicure that looked 1 month old after 2 days. Firstly, cheap prices for the cheap and rushed service. I made an appointment and sat there for 15 min while the lady next to me (not the nail tech) told me "it's okay I'm almost done she's just painting my nails." When I finally got someone, he had no idea what he was doing. All he had to do was take off dip powder and put on gel in a coffin shape. He was scraping my nail bed with a nail file and constantly had to use his crusty fingernails to pry off the dip powder. When that was done, he didn't shape my nails correctly and the gel was applied unevenly. I had a great nail tech and I shouldn't have ventured to a new cheap place. Sigh. read more

After the service I located the menu (over by the register on the wall) and saw that they don't actually provide callus remover. Oh well. Other than that I would totally go back. It was my first time trying them out & I was really pleased with my nails! I got a full set of acrylics painted black. The lady who did my nails was very nice and didn't hassle me when I asked for my acrylics to be cut super short. I have gone to previous nail salons where they tell me no, even though I specifically ask for it. I arrived at 5:30 without an appointment and they seated me at a chair 5 minutes later. The lady started working on my nails around 5:45 and though it started getting closer to closing she did not rush. She took her time and with each step asked me if I liked it. I am not a nail fanatic, but I like treating myself once in a while. I have been shopping around for a go to salon. They aren't too shabby. I have been to quite a few nail salons, and this is the first time I have gotten a pedi+mani combo. First off, I must admit, the price definitely lured me in, but it also worried me. for a mani pedi combo it is $30 for regular polish. $45 for shellac on the finger nails and regular on the toes. it was an extra $5 to get french mani. I went with my friend for her birthday and it rounded up to $95 for the both of us. we started with a pedi, the massage was really nice, it wasn't like a high-end spa so I didn't expect too much, but to my surprise It was pretty great. Our polishes turned out pretty great. Moving on to the mani. Both my mani and pedi were done by Lisa, and she's pretty awesome! She was super friendly and professional and I love how my nails turned out. For my friend, she was worked on by quite a few people, which we didn't mind. Her french tips turned out to be thicker than she expected, but that didn't bother her much, what bothered her the most was that her cuticles were cut a bit much. I've been coming here for about a year. Coming in regularly every 2 weeks sometimes 3 depending on nail growth. The reason I will no longer be coming here is because Tim the owner of the shop is flat out rude. He has done my nails twice and he always does them in such a hurry that they look horrible! Air bubbles, nail polish everywhere, lumps in my nails from him not filling them down properly. He had told me "your cuticles are messed up" AFTER he had applied the nail polish. I told him "isn't it your job to fix them" and h stayed quiet. Their prices are so up and down, depending on the mood that Tim is in or the person you get. So if you go in and look at the prices they have up don't be surprised if you walk out paying double that. I went in for a fill and color change and was charged $40 more than what I spent on my new full set when I first went in. Would not recommend at all. The ladies are wonderful but Tim has made such a. Due to curiosity I've bounced around other nail salons in the area and honestly no one was ever as consistent as this place. I have even gone as far as driving an hour to San Jose but failed to find consistency. My mom, sister and I have been getting our nails done here for years and are never disappointed. All of the staff are friendly and personable, always asking "where/how is your mom/sister today?". The gel color selection is huge and their nail shaping is always perfect. I'm pretty new to the area and saw how awesome the reviews for this place was so I decided to check it out.. Yeah I wasn't very happy. My nails were really long and I asked the woman helping me to file them and she kept making them crooked. By the time she finished them my nails barely had any length left to them. When she started doing my base coat she had someone else take over and her replacement was nice but the polish ended up being really uneven.
