The staff is so nice and they actually listen to what you want. I went in to get a gel manicure, and they removed my last gel polish also. This is by far the cheapest in the area for only $26! I am not picky to who I go to but my friend loves going to Tim or Tina for her acrylic sets! They also properly removed my gel polish by filing it and then using the foil method. Went here on a friend's recommendation. It's nothing fancy, very basic outside and inside. The ladies and 1-guy were very nice, quiet, but talked to me a little bit throughout the mani/pedi. I was just going to get a pedicure, but I figured -- hey, it was a long week, I might as well treat myself. And for a mani/pedi = $31 = awesome (I got french-manicure, otherwise it would have been $28). You can't beat the price. The foot / leg and arm massage was wonderful. Both the ladies that worked on me were very thorough .. they took their time, were gentle, and did a great job. The girl that did my french asked me a few times if I liked the thickness of the white-line for my french --- which I loved... I've been so many places where it's so rushed. I came here today and oh my god craziest expierence ever! So first I came in at about 6:20pm on a Saturday for some gel polish. The place was packed full but I did not need to wait! That was an aweesome start. Then I chose a color and right away I gt started. I decided I actually wanted gel polish so I got a gel polish. After the first coat and half of the second coat if the light white pink color I FAINTED. Oh my god it was crazy! I knew I was not feeling to well but I thought I was able to control this! Obviously I couldn't... :( So I fainted for about 30 seconds, or so I'm told and he stopped painting my nails and they were so nice and helpful, they brought me water and even bought me an orange soda which was so nice I was so surprised. When he offered it I thought they had it lying around the back or something! I felt really bad :( I felt better after ten minutes of just sitting so I wanted to finish getting my nails done because I needed them done. Anyway, the manicure came out pretty nice considering I messed it up by fainting! Haha. Overall I would definitely come here again it was only $25 for gel! Amazing price. Update: Unfortunately, I am now very disappointed with Ton, who I raved about in a previous review below, because he butchered my fingers. When he was filling my nails, he looked away for a brief second and cut my finger. It started to bleed and hurt badly. It wasn't a nick, it was a large chunk of skin broken off and hanging. I was mortified. He didn't have the decency to say sorry, instead he tried to pass the blame onto me. Told me that I had distracted him HUH!? WTH!? I must have been looking away... Hmmm I did't know I was suppose to be looking at my fingers lol. Some people have nerve. That's not the worst of it. It happened again ladies and that was pretty much it for me. He is an excellent flower artist, but definitely needs help filing women's nails. I wouldn't trust him again! No one ever apologized. I was treated like it was just any other day. I was sad, but now so happy I made the change. I now found the best Nail Salon ever . They do amazing designs and treat you with TLC :) ___________________________ Dublin Nails is by far the most versatile nail salon you will find. They have an artist on site name Tan, who is exceptionally talented. He can paint anything you ask for. I brought in a picture of a butterfly that had personal sentiment to me. He painted it onto my nails and it came out beautiful. They also offer airbrushing, which is a big perk as I have not been able to find a salon, since I moved here 15 years ago from Portland. The staff are very friendly, attentive and wiling to make changes if asked. Unlike other salons, where they make you feel like your from another planet because you might not be 100% happy with their final result. Just ask and they will be happy to make changes. They really take their time with their pedicures and I like that they are quick and efficient. But when it comes to polish.. Awful. This place is the only place (beside the $30/mani place I could go to) that does a great job on plain manicures...Had it done several time, different people, consistently good. They fix my cuticles up real well. I think I pay $35 for mani/pedi...good deal... As for the colors, I ALWAYS bring my own, no matter where I go (if you mess it up or chip it later, at least you can fix it if you own the color :)...and this way I don't have an issue with their lack of variety or quality of polishes. OPI only for me, at minimum. Last time I was here, I had a toenail that started cracking on the side (ouch, don't know how I did it)...the lady mentioned something to the owner and they ended up putting silk over it so that I don't crack it further or catch it in something...my pedi looked amazing, couldn't even see the 1/4 inch crack :) And I didn't have to worry about it either! I came back and decided to give them another try. The same guy did my nails, but he had difficulty understanding what I wanted done. I asked him to remove my old nails, and replace them with a new set. It took him longer taking them off then doing the actual set itself. He was still gentle, and always double checked with me about the length and shape. He made them way too wide, and I kept telling him to thin it out. He was having some difficulty so I finally gave up. The color I chose was a pink, and I had asked him to place a studs on one finger. The studs had so much spacing in between, and was bugging me! They weren't even aligned straight. Once he finished the total came up to $45! Waaaaay too pricey for something so simple. I ended up going somewhere else the next day to change them. read more

The first time I visited, I would've given 5 stars, hands-down. Loved the service, loved the results, and I believe it was the owner who did my nails. She charged me $25 for the acrylic set. I come back a month later for a new set, and she charges me $30 because the nails are "long" - when in fact the set she had done for me the first time were longer than the second time! This is "Nails down" THE best nail salon I've ever been to (so far...) The decor: The normal nail salon. This place is not upscale or fancy, it looks like your run-of-the-mill neighborhood nail salon. Service: Again, it's usually what you would find at a nail salon. Chatty Vietnamese women, busy, busy. A male nail technician did my nails as a woman did my toes at the spa style pedicure chair. The nail technician was so detail oriented and quick.. he did a more than perfect job with my gel nails. I chose to get glitter tips done and they had hundreds of choices of glitter to choose from, with different sizes and shapes of glitter. My nails lasted a month without a fill and did not chip at all. I got so many compliments on the job he did on my nails that I had to write down the name of the place everytime I ran into someone that saw my hands. When my toes were finished, they were soo perfect. I got an extra long (free of charge) leg and foot massage, which I was really happy with. The nail art the woman did on my toes was amazing.. not just a couple dots to make a flower.. she went all out and created a lovely flower design for me. My toes lasted nearly two months with NO chipping at all. All of this for under $50 dollars (for me.. not sure what they charge everyone else?) I was very impressed with this place, but it is too far from my home and I have had one bad gel fill after another in San Jose where I live. I won't lie, it's PAINFUL, but I hear that it is something you get used to. First time here today. For the price $18 for a pedicure and a couple dollar tip was super cheap. The ambiance was typical of any cheesy salon. The lady did my feet in 25 minutes. Would I come back again? Maybe, if I just want an in and out pedicure for cheap. However I'd probably go back to Synergy my normal salon who doesn't rush me and slots at least 1 hour for just a pedicure. Today they were already full and I couldn't wait until tomorrow because my hideous feet. I was in the area for a wedding and found this place through Yelp, and I was really happy with the results. The place was pretty large but we made an appointment the day before we came in. The price for a spa mani/pedi was $30. One nice touch was the mint and lime water bath for the Mani. In addition, it included an excellent foot and leg massage. It's pretty decent for the price - 30 bucks for mani and padi. Of course my finger nails only last a few days before the nail polish started to peel from the side( but that's pretty typical unless you do the gel stuff) toes are still looking good after 2 weeks. They are pretty fast too so 30 mins or less you are done, but it would be nice to get a longer arm and leg massage :p The only annoying part is that they don't have the lights for you dry your nails, so you have to sit on the massage chair for another 20 minutes afterwards. Ps they have a good selection of nail colors to choose from : all OPI and Essie. :) read more

I don't get my nails done often and thought I would celebrate my birthday by doing so. This was my first time at Dublin Nails. I received a french mani/pedi (shellac mani, reg. pedi.) I am pleased with the results, but not so much with the service... 2 different people serviced me at one time; a man did my mani and a woman did my pedi. I don't know their names and I could not understand them very well. I asked the man about the prices for both services in the beginning and it fluctuated. His hesitance did not sit well with me. I wish the prices for the services were posted, but I did not see any and, therefore, I felt like I was being overcharged. :\ I felt rushed by the man from the beginning when I was trying to make a color choice. I settled for clear polish with white tips because there were too many colors to choose from (+) and not enough time (-). Although he checked with me throughout my experience to make sure everything was ok, and worked quickly, I felt it was too quick as it made me anxious... During the mani. he turned off my massage chair so that he could focus better, which I wanted him to, but I didn't get the chance to use the chair after that... He set the UV light appliance on my lap, which was awkward, especially when I needed to move my feet during the pedi., and I felt it was a little unprofessional. Both the man and woman were a little rough when they massaged lotion into my arms and legs. The man was pulling me out of my chair a bit. At a nail salon I want to feel comfortable and pampered, especially on my birthday. I thank Dublin Nails for the way my nails look at the moment, but I feel their service to customers could improve... Because I make infrequent visits to the nail salon, maybe that's just how nail salons are. :\ It's an awkward experience. I have given this place a few chances already, and I think I'm done with this place. The first two times I went they did a great job on my pedi and gel mani, and now they rush through the whole visit. And because of that my gel mani, which is supposed to last a couple weeks, start breaking and pealing right before the week. Today I went in and the lady who did my pedi barely scrubbed my feet and my gel mani is see-through. Should be the same color as my toes and it's about 2 shades lighter. I first came to Dublin Nails for a work appreciation night, with some women I work with. At the time, I was impressed. I continued to go to Dublin Nails as my regular place whenever I wanted to get a mani/pedi. Their prices were decent for the work they did. The last time I went, however, I was VERY disappointed. Before I left, my French manicure was already scraping off when I used the hand nail dryer. I didn't think too much of it b/c I didn't pay a lot. But the next day, my other nails started chipping off, so I went to Target to purchase white tip nail polish and just touched it up myself. After that experience, I never went back to Dublin Nails. They are decent for the price if you just get a polish, but I was completely DISAPPOINTED with their French manicure. It should not start chipping on the 1st and 2nd days. Ever since, my nail salon has been Bollinger Nails in Walnut Creek. Even though I live in San Ramon, I don't mind driving to Downtown Walnut Creek for an excellent nail experience. read more

The manicurist was quick but she left all the bubbles in the world on my nails. Honestly, they had no one in the shop when I came in she didn't have to zip through the processes.
