I haven't even commented on the massage yet. Amy gave me a wonderful, professional, and deep massage. I will see her again for sure. We were getting undressed to lay on the table and she knocked and we said one minute and she proceeded to open the door to scan the second coupon I had mentioned earlier, while leaving the door wide open and my partner was undressed. That was a problem. The massage was okay. Felt rushed at times and limited massage oil. Not my favorite massage as the two ladies that were working in there kept talking to each other pretty loudly and it was hard to enjoy the massage. After the massage was over, my lady went to the bathroom and there was a different lady at the front. She let me know that I had to wait at the front. As I walked to the front she asked who will be taking care of the $35 per person minimum tip. I said what? She mentioned that $35 per masseuse is what we should tip. I asked her that's strange.. in all of my history getting massages, I've never been told that there is a minimum to tip. She got very angry with me and slapped the table a couple times and said, I'm not going to argue with you guys.. just leave what you're gonna leave and go. I later realized they were requesting the same amount we "saved" from the coupon. I was going to tip them for their work but after the way she was talking to us and guilt tripping us for it, I ended up just walking away. Will never come back.

Here is why: OVERPRICED: Even with a membership, their rates are well above the local area average. That might be justifiable if the service was exceptional, but it isn't. ZERO EXTRAS: At these prices, you would expect basic amenities like hot towels, your choice of essential oils, or aromatherapy candles. Nope--just a single lavender option. Plan on leaving feeling greasy. Yes, extras are ... extra $$. ENTITLED TIP SUGGESTIONS: Tipping prompts start at 25%. On a basic massage costing $215 ($155 for members), that's an automatic $38 to $53 suggestion. Their options even scale up to 35% ($54 to $75!). SURCHARGE ON TIPS: On top of that, they tack on a 3-4% "convenience" fee directly onto the tip. Wow, thanks. INCONSISTENT THERAPISTS: Across 8 total sessions between us, only 1 was very good, 1 was good, 4 were purely average, and 2 were downright bad. SOUND: It is remarkably loud. There is a single ocean-wave track on loop across the entire facility at high volume, with no way to lower or adjust it in individual rooms. ZERO PRIVACY: There are no actual walls--just see-through curtains separating spaces. You can hear every whisper from the people in the next "room" just a few feet away.
