Full…read moredisclosure, I am a massage therapist and I am fairly picky about who works on me but I had been helping my son move for two days and just needed some deep tissue bodywork. They were able to accommodate me right away and the woman behind the desk was very friendly. They never took my name, never did any intake or had me fill out a form. The only reason they might now have my name is because I paid by credit card at the end. This is not how a professional place operates. No one ever told me my therapist's name so I don't know who worked on me. She worked within a routine and never really focused on anything for very long. I tried vocalizing mmmmm or saying "good" to let her know when something felt good but she didn't really stop and get into the tissue. The first part of the massage was compression through the sheet and when she finally applied oil it was too much to do connected deep tissue. I enjoyed the hot stones bc I never choose that option so it was a nice surprise. Some of her techniques felt good but it definitely wasn't the kind of bodywork I enjoy or needed.

That was a problem. The massage was okay. Felt rushed at times and limited massage oil. Not my favorite massage as the two ladies that were working in there kept talking to each other pretty loudly and it was hard to enjoy the massage. After the massage was over, my lady went to the bathroom and there was a different lady at the front. She let me know that I had to wait at the front. As I walked to the front she asked who will be taking care of the $35 per person minimum tip. I said what? She mentioned that $35 per masseuse is what we should tip. I asked her that's strange.. in all of my history getting massages, I've never been told that there is a minimum to tip. She got very angry with me and slapped the table a couple times and said, I'm not going to argue with you guys.. just leave what you're gonna leave and go. I later realized they were requesting the same amount we "saved" from the coupon. I was going to tip them for their work but after the way she was talking to us and guilt tripping us for it, I ended up just walking away. Will never come back.
