I've never had a shiatsu massage before. Wow! I don't think I can go back to Swedish after my experience. This modality is not for the weak. It was deep and relaxing at the same time. I have chronic pain between my neck and shoulder and Inti is very attentive. He stretches and reduces the knots tremendously in that area. I just had my second massage by Inti today and I feel amazing!! My hips and low back no longer hurt, my shoulders aren't slouching over and I can actually stand up straight...I feel several inches taller. I'll start reviewing the details by saying that I think swedish massage is a waste of time. I want someone to really get in there so I can feel relief in my muscles and trigger points. Inti's technique is perfect for me. I booked a deep tissue massage & he used a combination of techniques to fit my needs that included shiatsu and possibly thai. The thai moves were stretches he did to relieve my low back and hips. The shiatsu moves were deep pressure points in my mid-back that he found to be the source of most of my back pain. I didn't even talk to him about my neck and shoulders, but his intuition guided him to release what I was holding in my shoulders so now I'm no longer a hunchback LOL! In additional to great technique, he's really genuine, kind and professional. It's easy to book an appointment with him using his online booking on his website. I have always avoided massages as I thought I was too skinny for them - the one or two I was convinced to get in the past ended up being really painful at times especially near my neck and spine. I recently had my first Thai massage ever. I am now a believer in massages because of Inti. For me, all other forms of massage and places were a waste of money and time. They only provided temporary, maybe an hour, of relief from neck and lower back pain and stiffness. I was referred to Inti by my chiropractor. I had been very hesitant to use any masseur because I have a problem with bruising due to age and quite frankly have had issues in the past when having a deep tissue massage, specifically on my arms and legs. I sent an email to Inti explaining my concerns and he responded that he felt he could workaround that by doing a deep tissue on the torso and using an more gentle approach on my limbs. To date I have had 3 massages and Inti has done an excellent job.I have not had to remind him each time either. I like his approach and I like him as a person. I saw Inti this morning for the first time. I had a chair massage as I currently have an acute lower back issue. Inti is highly professional, communicates with you, i.e. began by asking me if I wanted quiet or music (I appreciate that - this is my time). He also will communicate with you if he needs to explain something, otherwise again respects YOUR time and will talk only if spoken to (again appreciate this). His touch was perfect but if it got too strong, he'd back off but the key is the client needs to communicate that - he cannot know if it is too much for you. I felt Inti was wonderful, and highly recommend him to everyone. Glad he is local - I will definitely continue to see him and hope to work up to a full body massage in the future. read more

Very nice massage therapist. Inti did a great job today with helping me get rid of this neck/ shoulder/ back pain. He listened to my concerns, he was calm, soothing, used strength (deep tissue) at the right time, and used soft touch when needed. I can feel less pressure on my muscles tonight, they are less tight. Another positive is that Inti was able to accommodate me last minute in his busy weekend schedule due to the urgency of my neck pain. I am giving four stars because it was a little difficult to find the place upfront, but Inti was very thoughtful to provide the instructions before hand via email, which helped me find it right away. I was really happy with my deep tissue massage! I've been getting massages for years, and this was probably the best I've ever received. His pressure wad too heavy and doesn't use enough oil. It was like getting a rug burn all over my body. I had to keep telling him to be softer. Just didn't make me want to go back even with all the discounts. Wasn't worth the pain. Massages are supposed to be relaxing not agonizing. Inti is a great massage therapist. He is skilled in several modalities. I have now had his Swedish, Shiatsu, and today I experienced Thai massage. Wow, I thought I was stretched out from my yoga class this morning, but his Thai massage took stretching to another level! He is responsive if I need a change in pressure, which is important to me. I feel like he is totally present when he works on me. I get a full 60 minutes if I schedule an hour massage. Inti is kind and gentle, and has strength in his hands for areas that require deeper work. His room, within a reputable chiropractors office, is comfortable and clean.
