Omg!! 10 out of 10! That was the BEST deep tissue Swedish massage I've ever had! Ada was on point. Her hit all the knots, I swear I walked out of there seeing better and I walked in w a cold, I think it's gone. Her hands are a gift. She's not light so don't expect her to go easy which is what I asked for-hard and deep. I'm only sad it took me this long to find her. The salon was clean, simple and peaceful. They have calming music playing which didn't affect my serene feeling. I gotta say it again, she's hard core so be clear what you ask for cos she doesn't mess around. Thank you Ada and the Aroma Spa crew-you guys rock!! read more

1) Ada picked up 2 calls during the massage. 1 was completely personal and she was just chatting. It was unprofessional. 2) She said she needs to charge me $2 more after I took out my credit card. I said ok if that's the case there should be a sign or note somewhere. Your pricing sheet here doesn't say anything about it. 3) I tipped $15 which is 20%. She was clearly not happy about it and said I can't compare her to restaurant waitress. The massage itself is all right, but not great enough for me to bear with the unprofessionalism. A massage experience should be relaxing. read more

I'm a full time driver my back and neck were hurt so much. Just came back, Ada gave a wonderful massage and got so much better. It was so worthy. read more

I had a very stressful week with a lot going on. My back and arms felt like they were going to explode from the tightness in my muscles. I called this place and Aida was able to schedule me in right away. I was received by Aida who was my masseuse and I had a break down. She was so kind and held my hand and hugged me. She worked on my body focusing on the painful areas and I felt so much better. I also did deep massage for the first time at Aida's recommendation and it was excellent. The space was very clean compared to what l've seen in other places. I loved that so it felt like home .The price was reasonable given how clean it was and how wonderful the service was. read more

Ada is the BEST! She is very knowledgeable, informed me of some problem areas I didn't even know about and really put her all into helping relieve my painful tension. She runs her business alone and does a fantastic job! I've been to a few spas in the area and love how each time I come now I know I'll be getting her! My new favorite spa by far! read more

I would prefer to keep this gem to myself... but I also want this business to be sustainable. Ada really knows what she is doing when it comes to a true deep tissue massage. She is able to find the knots and work on them instead of just passively doing a routine thing. I will be coming back read more

Went here for the first time. Absolute nightmare. I said I needed massage for the back and neck. it started off ok, but slowly she started doing it harder and harder even after I said that it's too hard and paining for me. Ended up with back pain instead of relaxing. I still gave her a tip of 20% , but instead of being grateful, she said that she is not a some restaurant waitress to give a 20% tip and that she wants more. Wasted money on this by getting a back pain which has been almost 2 days and its still worse. read more

It's just okay, nothing special. Spends too much time in one area, also there was some pinching, not sure if therapist is wearing a ring or nails are too long. Didn't feel like she was paying attention. read more

Currently went back for my second time ever massage was great no complaints. When it came to pay and tip for $70 massage gave her $10. Her response is "no you can tip 30" excuse me? she's lucky she got the $10 after that more than 10% and tipping as a courtesy do better. Made me go from happy and satisfied to completely upset. read more

This is my favorite massage place. Ada spent more than the allotted time, and performed Ashiatsu massage to loosen up muscles on my stiff back. She is truly a gifted professional masseuse and very reasonable in terms of price. I highly recommend this place. read more

I have been coming here for almost a year now so this review is long overdue. Ada is extremely skilled and is able to locate the tension areas without even being told. I go see her on a weekly basis for a stiff neck and shoulders since I work in construction and she never fails to relieve my pain. She has soft yet incredibly strong hands and digs deep to remove all my knots. Her prices are also very competitive and haven't increased since my time there. Also, the place is very clean and smells good. The linens are clean and fresh, this place is spotless. Make an appointment with her, you won't be disappointed. P.S. - Ada runs the business, so from time to time she takes calls during the massage. It's not that disruptive in my opinion. Just thought I'd mention this as I read other reviewers that complained about this. read more

I have been coming here for over a year, and Ada is wonderful. I work on my computer all day and ride my bicycle a lot, so my back has a lot of tension and knots. Ada is a small woman with some strong hands, and she is great at getting out all those knots and helping me to relax. Afterward, it is nice to just stroll around downtown Pleasanton, relax, and enjoy the scenery. I highly recommend Aroma Day Spa, and their prices are also very reasonable. I will be coming here for the foreseeable future. Thanks, Ada! read more

Was in the area... and needed a massage for a stiff neck ... she left the room 5x -- 2 times to get hot towels , 3 x to attend to walk in's. This was so Un relaxing plus figured she would end a few minutes later because of all the interruptions ... of course not she ended my massage 10 minutes earlier so basically was not an hour massage .. massage was not the best. will not be coming back. read more

Absolutely one of the best intense massage I've had. I suffer from arthritis really bad up and down back and I leave there feeling like a teenager again. The place is also kept very clean. read more

The highly skilled massage therapist *Ada* runs this small spa. She is absolutely incredible at deep tissue massage! Very intuitive and sensitive, she will find the exact spot that needs pressure. I have seen lots and lots of different American therapists who claim to do deep tissue, and until I've met Ada I had no idea what the best practice really is. She is in the top 0.1%, and if you seek a real treatment for muscle tension, forgo the chain spas and give her a go. Also, do not hesitate to try her walk-the-back massage. It was a new thing to me, and I was thoroughly impressed. read more

So I found this place, a simple twist of fate.. I have had three spinal surgeries.. SO.. I need real, professional, and intuitive, masseuse.. I believe her name is Ada. I was very impressed. Ada at Aroma Day Spa in Pleasanton CA. is amazing! I always have knots in my shoulders and back and she always seems to find them and work them out. She is very strong and works very hard. I have followed her to several locations because once you find an awesome therapist, you don't want to lose them. I have never been disappointed with her massages. If you ask her to focus on shoulders, she will. I can't speak for all the therapists at this location however, if you visit Ada, you will get an amazing massage from a talented and strong therapist who will find your knots and work them out. Highly recommend! read more

Went there for the first time and had a massage with Nancy. She was ok as a massage therapist but the main problem was communication , didn't understand a word of English. While I do understand and didn't think that was a big concern but the real problem came after the massage when I gave her a 12 % tip since ether massage was just so-so. She became rude and kept telling me for a full hour I should have given her 20 % tip, kept repeating 20... 20,. I have had massages for past 30 years and always thought tipping is first of all, optional, and secondly should be according to customer,s satisfaction. I didn't say anything and just turned and walked away.. I can't speak for the other massage therapists, but certainly would not return to find out:( read more
