TERRIBLE massage experience. I requested a 90 min oil massage. The lady who greeted me told me to pay in advance, we agreed I'd pay through Venmo. I asked how much and she said $90 for the 90 min and to add the tip. So I said "ok I'll put a $20 tip." She told me "no $30. For 90 min you must tip $30." I told her no. She continued to insist. I again told her no. That's not how this works. I know because I am a professional massage therapist. I spend my days massaging and getting paid for it, for the last ten years. No one should be telling ME what the norms are in the massage field. If she wants to make more money, she should raise her rates, not harass people over tips A tip is never obligatory. And there is no required amount for a tip. In my work, I have clients tipping anything from $10-$100 and sometimes people don't tip at all. I'm aware that people determine their tip based on what they can afford and what they desire to give and I have no expectations. Her behavior was pure rudeness, very off-putting. Once I experienced her massage, I wished I had tipped even less as it was so horrible. She completely undraped me which is unprofessional and uncomfortable. It was clear that she had no real training in massage. Her massage was tedious and at times almost felt like physical abuse. Halfway through the massage she simply stopped massaging and left. Apparently a customer came in the front door and requested her by name. After a few minutes she came back and cursorily told me another lady was going to take over. She didn't tell the new woman where we were at in the massage, I had to inform her we had already worked on the back and were now on the legs. This was ridiculous and galling, but it turned out that the second lady actually had some skill at massage so the experience improved somewhat at this point. However I'm still giving one star. Definitely not worth the money they charge, much less a tip, in fact they'd have to pay me to enter this place again! read more

Head the reviews I called and asked if I could come in now and if they had an opening, the Lady said yes. Took me 10 minutes to get there and instead of waiting for me, they took a walk in and asked me to come back in an hour. Strike one. I should have taken that as a hint. I had Amy. Her English is limited and that's okay, I was born to immigrants. She used google translate and that was fine. Problem is that she needs to know the names of body parts. I told her arm was okay but not hand (bc I recently had hand surgery). She said okay, but never did the arm so I told her again yes arm, no hand 3x before she massaged the arms. She said to tell her If it was too hard, I did and she didn't soften her touch. She asked me to breath through it instead of softening her touch. That is not okay. She banged and put pressure on spots but went so fast with her pressure that it wasn't relaxing at all. I found that my fists were actually clenched. She skipped the thighs all together. Bad experience! Felt cheated, bullied and violated. After she told me to undress and lay down, she came in and started asking for money. "No money no massage" "Money first" etc. etc. I got ready to pay and asked her to step out so that I can get up and hand over the money. Keeping the door wide open she went on "not going out without money" and she grabbed my stuff from the hanger. At this point I asked for my stuff back firmly. She handed over my purse. Got paid and started with my massage. I paid for 1 hour and she stopped after 40 mins. In between those 40 mins she went out with door open at least 5 times to attend other customers. Massage was terrible. No pressure at all, no continuity, she would rub one side of shoulder and leave the other side. She got one warm towel to put on my back, went out to attend customer, came back after 5 mins. And used to same old cold towel to wipe oil on rest of the body. After I got out, they stopped me at the door and forced to tip 40-50% of the price. This was waste of my time and my $65. Beware of these people. They are scammers. read more

When I went it seemed like there's ever only one person working there. She answers the calls, walk-in clients, and does the massage herself. She never asked what kind of massage I wanted, what spots to work on, or if the pressure was ok. I purchased the Groupon for full body w/o oil but she used oil for some reason, which wasn't the Groupon option I purchased. The pressure was relaxing but not enough to work out any knots. I believe she had the strength to but did not put in the effort. $36 for 1 hr is honestly at most I would pay for it. I'm going to be 100% honest. I called this place to make sure it was legit massage and nothing more. They said it was legit professional massage and to come in. I showed up one hour deep tissue massage. For the first 30 minutes it was professional and normal. I was laying face down. Then the woman removed the sheet and ran her hand along my privates and up my butt crack. I uncomfortable said "No, no! Not there." She said sorry, I'm sorry." And then rubbed my feet. Later I turned over and was covered and laying there. She removed the cover again and exposed my front. I said "No!" Firmly and sat up. I told her to get out. I got dressed and left. On the way out she was asking for a tip. I said no! I considered calling the police. As a male, I didn't feel physically threatened by the violation. It absolutely was sexual assault, but I'm a big boy and don't feel I was harmed by it. It did make me feel more compassion for women and children who have been sexually assaulted in much worse ways. Had I been physically threatened it would have taken a psychological toll. I'm just warning people that this place is shady. If they have a problem with me telling my story, let's take it to court. They used to be excellent but they now have new Management. The massage itself is good but be aware of an few things 1 - they do not give you a full hour they can cut 5-10 minutes of your time . Well overall I don't think I give this place a good review. I don't think it's worth to go here. I would pay a little more somewhere else that can give better service and communication. Like everyone says, they demand pay and tip before they even massage. After reading all the reviews here, now I feel like I was being fooled. Everyone has the same experience ! But anyways, the first time I came in, they didn't even explain what kind of massage they will be doing on me, so I assumed they did a deep tissue massage, but my body now is more sore than before. I told her that she was pushing too hard but I don't think she understood, instead she told me to breath and it really hurts. I didn't really understand massage, so I thought it was a normal thing. I am not happy with the fact they force to give a tip in the beginning. I am also not happy cause my body now hurts more than before. I am slightly disappointed that they take personal calls during the work, but I do let that slide because maybe she has kids or for important personal reasons. But they have a really weak communication skills. Communication I mean not language but how much info they give out about massage. I think they should work on communicating what type of massage and intensity level they will be giving. But overall, this place is not worth your money. The massage was good i like how the same pace and pressure she has the whole time until....we heard somebody just came in. (Dingdong) The lady excuse herself to help the people who just walked in. I was a little skeptical about coming here initially, but I'm so glad I gave it a try! My first time here, my masseuse was an older Asian woman and asked how hard I wanted. I looked at her and said as hard as you can do it! (I typically like hard/strong and deep massages) But wow did I underestimate her strength! I had to ask her to tone it down to medium which she did. She was really able to get all the knots out! The following time she wasn't available so I got Lena. Lena was even better, and I've been requesting for her since. All I have to do is tell her where my knots and muscle pains are, and she's able to heal them! For the price, there's no comparison in my opinion. These ladies are way stronger than they look, so just tell them to adjust and they will do so. $40 for an hour massage, is perfect for my budget, and I still tip them $20 every time. read more

I was initially put off my how run down the place was upon entering. However, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and see how the massage was. The woman at the front desk insisted that I pay for the massage PRIOR to having received it, which I thought was odd. When I asked if I could pay after, she said it was their policy to pay before. About 3 times throughout the 50 minute massage, the woman who was massaging me was talking very loudly back and forth in a different language to the person at the front desk from my massage room. As soon as she finished the massage, she asked if I wanted to pay for the tip with cash or card, which I thought was strange, because I have never had someone ask for a tip before. When I got dressed, I went out to pay the tip on my card and asked the woman to charge $12 to my card, which was a 20% tip. Although I did not feel it was a good quality massage and I was not impressed with the customer service, I have worked in the service industry before and understand that a 20% tip makes a big difference. Upon hearing me say $12, the woman laughed at me and responded with, "No. Minimum tip is $20." When I asked if she meant 20% or $20, she confirmed she meant $20. I clarified that I was paying a 20% tip on a $65 massage and that I was not aware of any policy that I needed to pay $20 for a tip. Another woman came out from the room next door and laughed at me as well, stating, "20% tip is for restaurants. For massages, you tip $20-30." I again repeated myself and said I would be tipping $12. She laughed and said, "You want to tip $15?" I repeated myself one more time and firmly said, "You can charge the card $12." She stopped pushing at that point, and charged the card $12. I will definitely NOT be returning to Massage 360 and I would warn others to be weary of them trying to take advantage of you. Very unprofessional and disappointing experience. read more

I was looking for a place to get a much needed massage and found Peony Spa. It is on a lot with a couple other small businesses. You could miss it if you drove by too fast. The place is cozy and inviting. I think they have three rooms so it may be helpful to call ahead to make a reservation. I got a full body massage and it was awesome. This wasn't my first time here, but it will certainly be then last. Fair to say the "massage therapists" are not trained, much less licensed. If you have had more than one massage, this becomes evident in 5 minutes or less. I wonder if they have even watched a professional do this - it is clear they were not trained. And I say "they" since the last time I was sub-par, too. Which is a shame, since 3+ years ago, it was MUCH better. Fair to say, they have not been concerned with getting return business, especially if you read reviews from the past 18 months. Seriously, go to the mall and sit in a massage chair. You will get better results, listen to your requests better than these jokers, and it's doubtful that they will ask for a bigger tip than the 25% I gave them out of simple courtesy. Seriously! They asked for more, and I repeated what I told them DURING the massage - learn your craft! I could have covered myself in peanut butter and let my dog go to town and it would have been a better "deep tissue" massage than what they could offer. I asked if she knew Shiatsu. Or Swedish. Or deep tissue. Sports? Rolfing? I'll go ahead and answer for all with "NO!". Need them to apply body oil like you would to a baby? Yeah, they got that down. Drove by this place many times. Decided to check them out. Price is decent but today I'm more sore than I was before. When the masseuse asked if it was too hard I told her yes. She did not change her strength. After the message was over they gave luke warm water and asked for a tip. I know when receiving this type of service it is usual to leave a tip however when you are not happy with the service I don't think you should be asked to give a tip. Amazing, authentic Asian massage, very reasonably priced too. No appointment necessary, got right in. Coco is a very pleasant lady. Not fluent English, but that's totally okay because no talking is super relaxing. Massage is very deep tissue so as long as you can take the pressure, which is exactly what I needed, then you will feel like you are floating on clouds after! Offered me water before I left. I normally don't write reviews because people can have off days, but felt I needed to give Coco some kudos. She definitely deserves it for all the work she must have to put in to massage that deep. This place recently opened and has a special right now for a full body massage for $40! My friend and I went and got massages here and I have to say, that massage was probably the best I've ever had. Considering that I've spent over $100 for a massage before and been thoroughly disappointed, I would recommend everyone save their money and go here instead! The ladies who work there are very nice, their English is broken though, so communicating is not super easy, but come on, no one's really chatting while getting a massage anyway! They are from China, and have been here for over 4 years practicing massage therapy. They recently opened this place which is pretty basic inside and has 3 or 4 private massage rooms but no complaints there. I appreciated that they're not the "fluff" masseuses who kind of half rub you and don't get deep enough to have any lasting effect. They also listen to you, and my friend wanted only her back worked on, which they did with no questions asked! Definitely give this place a try. read more

The space is very cute and cozy, and it's only $40 for a full body massage. I asked my masseuse to focus on my shoulders and upper back, and the pressure was just right. Was able to stop by here early on a Friday. Walked in without and appointment and found they had an availability. Grabbed a 90 minute time slot and my lower back needed every minute of it. Rooms seemed clean and orderly. Ambiance was basic. The massage was thorough and detail oriented. Draping cover was light but the room was a comfortable temperature. Enjoyed the hot towels. The price is a plus but the one thing keeping them from getting 5 stars is the walls are open at the top and they are quite thin. This place opened recently. I have been several times and never had a bad massage. The prices are more than fair. I have had several masseuses. Each has her own style, but they listen to where I need work and have been able to find kinks I didn't know I had. They were willing and able to put strong pressure on some of my tighter muscles and I have always felt totally relaxed afterwards. read more
