I came in for a pedicure with gel and powder fill in for my two big toe she couldn't do it and forgot to fill in one of my nails. She realize she made a mistake and kept applying 4-6 coats of the color when I had to tell her to please stop and if she can apply the top coat. I of course ran out paid and tip her even when I was so unsatisfied. Location reminds me of a bar never seen before. Very dirty if state board came in they would immediately get fine for multiple things. Poor service and location lack cleanliness. Pay for quality ladies run don't go to this place. read more

Does this look like cat eye at all ? Also when you tell them the length of nails are not aligned they say they can't do anything. I am not getting these for free. I chose this nail salon because they offer mani/pedis for kids, and it was my daughter's 8th birthday--she wanted her nails done for the first time. Her nail tech was amazing--gentle, kind, and so sweet, making it a wonderful first experience for her. Since we were there, I decided to get a mani/pedi as well, but that turned out to be a mistake. When I mentioned I wanted the lavender mani, my original nail tech disappeared, and another lady showed up( short hair & glasses). She suggested I get gel because, according to her, my toenails were "yellow." It felt like an insult disguised as an upsell. I declined and let her continue, but she was so rough, digging so deep into my toenail that now it hurts and feels like I have an ingrown nail. At that point, I thought about skipping the mani but decided to go through with it to keep the experience pleasant. Unfortunately, when she finished, my nails looked like they'd been done by a child--messy and uneven. It was disappointing. It seems that unless you choose the priciest package, you don't receive respect or quality service here. I won't be coming back to this unpleasant establishment. read more

I was a walk in at the Spa calling to ensure I could receive services. The receptionist was polite and soft spoken on the phone. Upon arrival I briefly took a seat, "Tiffany" greeted me and took me to her station at the bar. I knew exactly what color selection I wanted and she got right to work. I cannot recommend this Spa enough! We walked in at opening and they were able to accommodate two pedicures and two manicures! Their spa package was absolutely amazing - They gave me a foot and leg massage, a hand and arm massage, and a neck massage! I was in heaven. The spa was clean, the tools were sanitized and fresh, and the atmosphere was quiet. The customer service really was amazing! read more

They took too much of my daughter's cuticle off today and she was bleeding. Not good since she's going to have her engagement photos done next week. (Hopefully it will heal by then). I have always enjoyed my NAIL experience here. I have never been even slightly hurt (which I have been practically everywhere else) at JC Nails and everyone is so nice. Ann is the best and I wish to have her if possible, do my fill, but that is not always the case. I have not had a pedicure here. I do not understand the unhappy reviews. They do prefer cash which I understand and oblige. I will continue to patronize. read more

I went in for a manicure and I left with 3 bleeding and swollen cuticles. I'm just hoping I don't end up with an infection. I was with a friend, and she had a very good experience, but I can't recommend this place when it's clearly a toss up based on which person you get. read more

I made an appointment with Helen for a full set and a manicure. I was getting my nails done for my wedding in two days and trusted Helen because she usually does good work. I told her one 3 separate occasions I needed a manicure and not to cut my cuticles dry after she made me bleed. As she continued to rush and cut my cuticles dry, I was left with burning, swollen cuticles and did not receive the manicure I requested a week ago. The salon was empty and there was one person waiting who had called while I was getting my nails done. I'm so upset and hoping the swelling goes down especially because my hands will be in a lot of pictures. Very unfortunate and disappointing. Looks like I'll have to go somewhere else from now on! read more

Been coming here for two years and after today I will sadly not be returning. Their prices are cheaper than most so I've looked the other way when I've not liked my nails before but that is no longer the case. I got a gel manicure and pedicure. When I was told the total it was higher than I expected. I was curious about the difference so I quietly asked the person ringing me up about the difference..after which 4 workers started loudly trying to argue with me about the price. I never argue about prices or complain because I don't want to cause a scene so this was my nightmare - I just wanted to understand. I kept assuring price was okay and I had no problem paying I was just surprised. At this point I was embarrassed by asking a simple question and felt super uncomfortable. I understand prices change and that maybe some workers charge different but I didn't appreciate the way it was handled and do not feel comfortable returning. read more

I went to this nail salon a year ago and was not pleased but decided to come again. I won't do that again. I see plenty of good reviews and nails look amazing so I am forced to think that the quality is great with some techs and not with others. I noticed the nail polish was bubbly, brought it up and my tech proceeded to pile more nail polish on several of the nails to try to cover it. It's gel, so I have lumpy nails and discoloration from the top coat, application of the light. I called nicely once I got home and the woman was not polite, made it clear I was a nuisance and that she was busy - there was one time slot which interfered with my plans and, to be honest, based on the tone I didn't want to deal with this so I decided to not go back. I do not recommend this place unless you know and have the name of a tech that you like who does good work. read more

Have to say the salon definitely changed. Went in a few days ago and even though we now have vaccines, there should still be safe protocols. I got a gel mani and was seated right next to other ppl, sandwiched in between them even though there were many other seats available... I had to ask twice to be moved to a different place further for social distancing. Lol funny thing is they have signs that say 6 ft apart but then choose to put the customer right next to each other. My gel mani was good, worker was extremely attentive. But sadly I paid a lot only to have the gel chip away 4 days later... look at pic below. I would be hesitant to come back even though I've been a customer as you can see for over 4-5 years. This is my first time coming back so maybe the polish becoming cheaper and cheaper? For gel I expect the nails to last minimum 1.5-2 weeks, definitely not 4 days. read more

Came for a pedicure since my usual nail tech was unavailable and honestly the service is subpar as well as the actual pedicure. I'm usually a lenient reviewer but this place is trying to get customers in and out as fast as possible, resulting in a mediocre pedicure. I had an appointment and I'm not sure who did my pedicure but she was rushing, leaving out steps and I had to ask her for the basic things that are included in the pedicure package. I had a gel mani pedi and went for the full wack for the pedi package but was not worth it as the massage and hot stone things were simply flimsy. Nonetheless I am giving four star because the two members of staff did a very good job for my feet and hands - and it was a big job as I can't afford mani pedis often therefore when I go it means things are bbbbbbbaaaaaaad. I just did not like how the cashier pushes for the use of their ATM for cash payment , the lady after me had more of a back bone and simply stated " do you accept cards yes or no- if yes here is mine - if no remove the sign in your window " oooh someone gets her a bowl of milk read more

I am very displeased with them offering "gel x nails" because 3 of of nails fell off with 24 hours. I have had previous gel x nails before and the usual place I go to was booked so I decided to try this place. I tried calling asking for a refund but they offered to re do my nails but I do not trust it. I was not even doing anything strenuous to cause my nails to break.. and especially within 24 hours?? Ridiculous. I never write reviews but I am just so disappointed with the amount of money charged and the generous tip I gave for my nails to fall off so quickly after getting them done. read more

Nobody rushed me with "hello what do you want" or shoved a color wall in my face before I even sat down. I actually felt like a person, not just another number to get in and out. It wasn't until I was sitting there that I realized how used to bad treatment I'd gotten. Other salons trained me without me even noticing, packed into a tiny space, treated like I'm on a conveyor belt, rushed out before my nails even had time to properly dry. I had honestly forgotten my time and my experience mattered. Delane's brought that back for me. The professionalism was on another level too. No games with the price going up if you don't tip in cash, which is honestly tacky and rude and tells you exactly how little they think of their customers. Nobody crowding me in next to three other people either. It was calm, it was peaceful, it actually felt relaxing instead of stressful. And the cleanliness. Towels were fresh, equipment looked properly cleaned, none of that murky blue water sitting in a dirty container that's clearly been there for who knows how long. Even the bathroom was clean, and that alone tells you a lot about how a place is really run. Not happy at all with this place. First off when I got there they pushed and pushed for me to get gel. I dont want gel. Thanks though. I started with one guy and then he just left with no explanation and didn't come back. Then another guy came over after waiting for like 10 minutes. He started working on my nails and then made me move to another station. He burned me with the drill about a dozen times. I was quite annoyed. But kept a smile on my face. When he finally asked what color I wanted, I knew it would be difficult for me to explain what I wanted. So I asked if I could just go to the wall and get it. He said, oh you want gel. I said no. And the lady that worked there who was at the wall of color said these are not gel. I felt pressured to get gel. Which I did not fall for. When I explained how I wanted them painted he totally botched it. And I had to ask him to start over on one of the nails. It was totally doable, but he didnt want to do it. All he cared about was doing a design for an extra $3. Which I did do. But it came out TERRIBLE!!! The heart looks like a 4 year old drew it. When we were done i was going to grab my purse and phone to go dry. He asked me not to so i left my purse, assuming he would bring it to me like most places do. Nope. He left my purse over there the for 15 minutes while I had to figure out the drying table alone. No one came to help me. I had no idea where the on button was. And, I am NOT happy with my nails at allllll!!! And dont even want to go back to get it fixed. I gave them 1 stars and not 0 because well, you cant and the shop was clean and kinda cool looking. I'm really disappointed with my recent experiences at JC nails. The pricing is inconsistent and feels dishonest. I was initially quoted one price, but then charged significantly more at checkout. When I questioned it, they claimed I "misheard," even though others with me heard the original quote as well. As a minor paying with my own money and going in without a parent, I felt like I was being taken advantage of, as if they thought I wouldn't speak up for myself. Beyond the pricing issues, the service itself was subpar. During one visit, I was cut multiple times - four to be exact, each drawing blood. The nail technician blamed me for moving, which is ridiculous, especially since many of the cuts happened while she was shaping my nails with a manual file, not even close to my actual nail. To add insult to injury, she then told me I wasn't allowed to talk as i was supposedly moving too much! My nails and hands were also left severely hurting after the appointment. On a previous visit, I was charged $5 extra for square-shaped nails. However, during this last visit, another technician said they don't charge extra for different shapes. The inconsistency is frustrating. While I will admit my nails looked good in the end, the poor service and questionable business practices make it hard to recommend this place. read more

Clean place and very nice girl Gillian did an amazing mani pedi for me and my Mother. They have me and her a glass of wine after they closed the doors and actually offered us some snacks from the catering place across the street. We will defiantly be back.
