I always enjoy my time at Marvelous Nails. There are more popular spots around the area, but the waits get long, services get rushed, and prices are absurd for how little attention you get. A deluxe pedicure here is $40 (basic is $30). Getting gel with chrome added an extra $20 to my total, but still for $60 I had a pedicure that lasted over an hour with callus removal, a long massage, and a hot paraffin wax. The staff are all very very kind- they recognize you after a few visits & I've noticed that the owner has customer's names and some facts about them memorized. On my most recent visit, a woman walked into the salon mistaking it to be a pharmacy. One of the employees walked her down to the actual pharmacy- sweet gesture. So far, I've never had to wait- I like to visit in the late afternoon on a weekday. My busiest visit was during lunch time on a weekday. The gel polish (so far) has lasted me on average over a month. Lina and Tina are wonderful! I was in search for mani and pedi services in preparation for Mother's Day weekend. I called to first to see if they had availability, the lady stated that they were available then and that was perfect for my schedule. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I confirmed the services and color I wanted and both Lina and Tina went into action. I really enjoyed my time and the services were provided in a smooth and timely manner. I have an issue with fact that this nail salon allowed a lady to bring her big dog into the business. She said "is it ok?...if she starts barking, I'll take her home"....well guess who did a lot of barking? Surprise...her dog...in an unfamiliar environment. And the lady never kept her word and took the dog home. Just kept apologizing for the barking. Ridiculous! I appreciate that the owners were trying not to lose business or risk a snarky yelp review. Well, you lost my business because yes I am a dog lover but I don't want to listen to barking during what is supposed to be a peaceful pedicure. The owner should protecting other customers' right to have a relaxing experience. read more

Couldn't ask for more. I've been a client here for about 10 years. The things I like about the salon are the quality work, the friendliness of the staff, and the reasonable prices. It's also very clean and easy to schedule appointments at the day and time you want them. I can get an acrylic fill and a deluxe pedicure for $90. The leg and foot massage included in the pedicure is amazing. I see Lina for my nails and one of the other girls for my pedicures. They are all very good! Check them out! read more

One of the best mani-pedis I have had in Pleasanton. Technicians are so kind. I came in to get Oregon colors painted on my toes and finger nails for my son's graduation. I asked if they could try to paint an "O" on my nails. They were totally willing to do it and did a great job drawing it freehand just looking at the logo online. Not the most marvelous experience this time around. Came in on a weekday afternoon, so not too busy. My nail technician didn't even greet me and all the nail technicians were speaking to each other in Vietnamese the entire time. Then during one of the nail technician's breaks, she started playing an Asian drama for the whole salon to hear. Some more customers walked in later. One of them wanted their gel manicure removed and regular nail polish applied. The nail technician asked her "Why not gel again?", which I thought was a bit pushy. The customer looked uncomfortable. I could sense that she didn't want the gel manicure, but didn't know how to say no. Part of me wanted to speak up on her behalf, but didn't feel like it was my place to do so. However, the price is great for what is it. $30 for a basic pedicure including sugar scrub, hot stone, and massage. For $10 extra, you can get the deluxe pedicure, which includes everything in the basic pedicure with the addition of a cooling mask, wax, and longer massage. Overall, the price was right, but the lack of interaction and noise in the background just made for a not-so-relaxing experience. read more

I'm a new customer and just got a pedicure today and happy with the service, cleanliness, skill, and equipment (chair). I got a basic pedicure. My nails are trimmed, buffed, and polish applied beautifully smooth. Massage was great with hot stones. I was not rushed, so it was relaxing. Not too aggressive with cuticle trimming - but it has been 3 months since my last pedicure so there was a lot of cleaning up to do. I'm happy and plan to return. I know inflation is real, so glad I got a pedicure for $30 (plus tip!!!) read more

The conditions are awful. Table was dirty, lady was sloppy rushing and no music and the rest of the staff was eating their tuperware lunches chewing loud, imagine how "relaxed" I was. I do better job myself, i gave 1$ tip. And when I tried to pay, she saw my wallet and asked if she can help get my money out of it which is very inappropriate. Horrible staff, service, and environment! Update on owner feedback: why do you eat where you work? Gross! There is a park next door! A health inspector would ban this place. Be a little more professional and eat and talk when you don't have customers! Your reviews are fake and from your friends. Learn how to do nails and learn how to not lie as you don't provide "marvelous nails". Mine already chipping from your dollar store polish. read more

My friend knew about this salon and said I should try it out. I went with her and got the basic pedicure. The price is really good for what you get, you get massage with hot stone and scrub which I've seen other places charge more for. The nail polish smell is a bit strong though because the store is small and the doors weren't propped open or had good ventilation. Also not sure if they open new tools that were sanitized. read more

I had a manicure and full set done today after having my nails completely botched by another shop. Leena and my other tech (who's name I did not catch) did an excellent job not only in fixing my nails and giving me the birthday nails I wanted but also made my day better through conversation and their kindness. Excellent service! Lina was able to squeeze me in. I called at 3ish and was able to get a same day 4:30 appointment. Showed Lina one of the sets I liked from the pictures on yelp and she gave me exactly what I wanted. In and out in an hour with gorgeous and smooth feeling nails. Lina was very patient with me and answered all my questions and told me price up front so no surprises for me. Salon is small and cozy and I was pleased that there wasn't that weird chemically smell lingering like many other salons I've been to have. Other customers are very nice as well. I'm very satisfied with my visit. I only got my nails done because I'm on winter/Christmas break from work. I have been going to this salon for many years. I have been wearing acrylic nails for a long time and Leena has always done a great job. I went yesterday and she told me about a new product she is using. It's called Builder Nail gel. She took off all my acrylics and used the new product. I love it. My nails have such a natural look. I began coming here because the locations I visited in Dublin were overpriced and the quality was lacking... in other words, I was overpaying for nails that were not lasting. I am so happy I found this nail salon. The nails last me a month at a time. As a single mom of two young kids, I am active and finding the time isn't always easy. A friend recommended this place and it has become my go to nail salon. They have the best gel prices in the area and they do a stellar job. They also get in you and out fast yet do ensure you are happy with the outcome of your service. Lena runs the salon and does great work on her clients and if you pay cash they have a stamp card for a free service with 10 cash paid services. This is my go to for pedicures. Everyone I've come into contact with is professional and welcoming. I always go for the deluxe gel pedicure. Today, I decided to bring my husband by for a self care day and he really enjoyed coming here, too! Price: I got a deluxe pedicure, with gel polish removal, and callous removal. My daughter's nails look amazing! (I think the owner did them.) However, mine...not so great. My husband thought I had bought press on nails and did them myself. I thought that maybe I would just tell them to shape them differently next time and I just need to comm better. However, then, two nails popped off after 1 1/2 weeks! Very disappointed with MY nails! Visited this nail salon third time and forgot how good they are. It is not a visible place, hidden in a cute shopping plaza, so I forget about them. It will definitely be on my radar from now because it is the only nail salon in Pleasanton that you can trust. It is extremely small, you won't find some fancy chairs and decorations here, but you will get a quality service. One of the technicians is too nosy, asks too many questions, but I guess she is just trying to be friendly (and she is anyway). Good pricing, easy parking, and even better, grabbing a tasty pizza slice from Pizza Bello and coffee from Peet's, both located in the same center, makes a perfect day. I am VERY picky about my nails. Two things are a must for me: Customer service and an amazing job. Lina does great with both. She is personable and really does try to achieve exactly what you want. Tracy did a nice job on my dip manicure, although a couple of my nails are thicker/more bulbous than I would like. They had a large number of dip colors to choose from. The place is kind of hidden but if you know where Bill's Cafe is, it's in that same shopping center. The ladies were nice and accommodating. Price was reasonable. Unfortunately, neither me or the lady doing my threading realized this, even after I looked in the mirror and examined it closely, maybe the lighting in there just isn't good because it seemed obvious after I left, but inside it was really hard to tell that something was wrong. As for the shampoo and blowout, it wasn't outright terrible but for the price I would've expected something better than what I could've done myself, and I did not receive that. The blowout technique was some of the strangest I had ever seen. The person doing my hair was being pretty rough with my hair, it wasn't overly painful but the way they were doing it was definitely not healthy for my hair. Additionally, I asked them to take care of the frizz at the top of my head, and instead of taking care of it, they said that they couldn't do anything about it. That response was extremely strange, considering I was the same ethnicity as the staff and I assumed that they would have some experience with people of my hair texture. I guess I was wrong. When I get threading done, I expect a thorough job and when I get a blowout, I expect beautiful frizz free hair, and my experience fell short of my expectations, unfortunately. i won't be back.

I came in for the first time after seeing the numerous great reviews on Yelp. My callouses have been bothering me for years and Van is the best! I highly recommend the callous treatment even if it is a few dollars extra. Van is very meticulous about her work and is very friendly. She actually makes an effort to make small talk which in my book is a plus. The shop is roomy and clean, they are located in the same plaza as Mr. Pickles. This little gem is tucked away in the corner which makes it kind of difficult to find, but trust me, it's worth looking for. I also like the fact that they sterilize all their tools in a sterilization bag instead of using a UV light like other salons. They also have Netflix streaming on their large TV and were so kind to ask me what I wanted to watch. In my opinion, you're getting a bargain for what you receive at this salon; free massage chair, entertainment, great service, free scrub treatment, and most importantly, the results are fantastic. I had a disappointing experience at Marvelous Nails during a business trip. After calling ahead and being told there were no available slots, I was surprised when they called me back just five minutes later to say they could fit me in. However, the service that followed was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, I noticed I was the only one waiting despite other customers already being attended to. The older technician who helped me seemed rushed and inattentive. She didn't even ask if I wanted my nails clipped until I brought it up myself. To make matters worse, as she worked on my nails, she made a rude comment in Vietnamese about how she had to prioritize a full set for two customers who arrived after me. It was clear that she viewed my service as less important, which made me feel undervalued. The atmosphere felt unprofessional, and I left feeling like I was just another number rather than a valued customer. I will definitely not be returning to Marvelous Nails again. read more

Extremely Disappointing Nail Service. I'm very disappointed with the nail services my daughter and I received. We both got pedicures, and I also had gel polish and acrylic nails done. Unfortunately, the gel polish started chipping and peeling off within just two days, which is incredibly embarrassing as I'm attending a marriage function. I paid a significant amount for these services, including a 15% tip. The owner seemed very busy, so her assistant applied the gel polish on both of us. She only applied two coats and neglected to cover the borders of our nails, which likely contributed to the poor quality and premature chipping. read more
